THE ARROGANCE OF DOUCHEBAG GAVIN NEWSOM

Newsom-moron

Once again, California’s “elite” progressive communist democrat douchebag Governor Gavin Newsom disses Californians.

In another attempt to circumvent the constitutional rights of Californians, Margaret Prinzing, attorney for Governor Gavin Newsom, argued that “voters simply do not have the capacity to decide on complicated matters like tax hikes” while asking the California Supreme Court to block the California Taxpayer Protection Initiative from appearing on 2024 November ballot.

The state Supreme Court is expected to rule before June 30, 2024 – the deadline for placing items on the November 2024 ballot.

They are trying to kill a prudent safeguard against perpetual tax increases to fund special interest payouts…

The California Two-Thirds Legislative Vote and Voter Approval for Fee and Charge Increases Initiative (#21-0042) was qualified for the ballot in California as an initiated constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024, but California Governor Gavin Newsom is challenging it.

A “yes” vote supports amending the state constitution to define all state and local levies, charges, and fees as taxes and to require new state taxes proposed by the state legislature to be enacted via a two-thirds legislative vote and voter approval and new local taxes to be enacted via a two-thirds vote of the electorate.

A “no” vote opposes amending the state constitution, thereby maintaining that new state taxes require a two-thirds vote in each legislative chamber or a simple majority vote of electors and new or increased local taxes require approval of the local governing board as well as voter approval.

It should not surprise Californians that this constitutional ballot initiative would be opposed by the progressive communist democrat uniparty and those parasitical special interests who live off the taxpayer’s ever-increasing taxes.

  • AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees)
  • SEIU  (Service Employees International Union) – the corrupt communist union founded in Chicago, Illinois
  • California Special Districts Association
  • California State Association of Counties
  • League of California Cities

Where is the money going?

The California State budget is all smoke and mirrors, full of accounting tricks that ignore billions of dollars in unallocated slush funds, transfers of restricted funds to unrestricted accounts using worthless interest-bearing IOUs, and the hidden funding of illegal aliens and nonsensical projects that benefit unions and non-governmental organizations.

More worried about abortion in Arizona than California's decimated healthcare infrastructure...

Someone forgot to tell Gavin Newsom that when the Supreme Court returned the matter of abortion to the states where it properly belongs, California had no moral or legal authority to interfere with the voter's intentions in other states. But, there was Gavin Newsom before the cameras promoting legislation that would grant Arizona abortion physicians the right to conduct abortions in Arizona.

Bottom line…

Not only do we have a massive multi-billion-dollar budget deficit, but California’s hostile business climate, outrageous taxes, and decaying cities have destroyed jobs and caused corporations and millions of middle-class residents to flee the state’s oppressive dictatorial environment.

Governor Gavin “Gruesome” Newsom is a hair-gelled joke as he runs around the nation trying to position himself as the heir apparent should President Biden drop out of the race.

Vote for the anti-tax initiative that would immediately produce tangible tax savings for Californians.

We are so screwed.

SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN IS NEITHER SCIENTIFIC NOR AMERICAN

UN_SCIENTIFIC_AMERICAN

What has happened to this once great science-focused magazine that I used to read cover-to-cover?

‘Protest Paradigm’ Shows What’s Wrong with Media Coverage of Student Activism
Media coverage of university students speaking up against the war in Gaza, just like coverage of other protest movements, has fallen prey to some serious weaknesses

The following essay is reprinted with permission from The Conversation, an online publication covering the latest research.

Protest movements can look very different depending on where you stand, both literally and figuratively.

For protesters, demonstrations are usually the result of meticulous planning by advocacy groups and leaders aimed at getting a message out to a wider world or to specific institutional targets. To outside onlookers, however, protests can seem disorganized and disruptive, and it can be difficult to see the depth of the effort or their aims.

[OCS: Professional agitator-led Astro-turfed protests designed to look like mainstream grass-roots protests and often funded by those with a malign political ideology and agenda.]

Take the pro-Palestinian protests that have sprung up at campuses across the United States in recent weeks. To the students taking part they are, in the words of one protester, “uplifting the voices of Gazans, of Palestinians facing genocide.” But to many people outside the universities, the focus has been on confrontations and arrests.

[OCS: Sprung up? No. These were pre-planned and staged efforts whose planning appears to be months in the making. These are Arabs, not Palestinians. They do not face genocide but advocate genocide against the Jews and whose majority population has selected terrorist leadership and openly celebrate Jewish deaths.]

Where does this disconnect come from? Most people don’t participate in on-the-streets protests or experience any of the disruption that they cause. Rather they rely on the media to give a full picture of the protests.

[OCS: The simple truth is that the protests are staged for the media with the purpose of attracting funding and ill-informed followers that are more interested in making social connections than actual protest.]

For over a decade, my research has extensively explored trends in how the media shapes narratives around different kinds of demonstrations. Reporting on the campus encampments by large parts of the media fits a general pattern of protest coverage that focuses more on the drama of the disruption rather than the underlying reasons behind it – and that can leave audiences uninformed about the nuances of the protests and the movements behind them.

[OCS: The media, for the most part, is being manipulated by malign interests and cannot distinguish the difference between good and evil without upsetting their corporate masters. Likewise, the author is a product of an educational system that has long been slavishly devoted to radical progressive communist democrat causes and is unlikely to produce research which pushes back strongly against the malign agenda of the far left.]

Objectivity in research?

It is a given that most published material is conditioned by funding sources, the need to attract an audience, and the ideological bent of the publisher. This is true of journals, mainstream media, and social media platforms, where content is curated by both inclusion and omission.

Furthermore, some subjects do not lend themselves to manipulation by moral equivalency or multiculturalism. One such subject is terrorism targeted at innocent civilian populations to further a political power grab.

So let’s, for a moment, look at the author’s bio and see if we can see any predisposition for a bias or ideology…

Michigan State University, College of Communication Arts and Sciences, School of Journalism

Danielle Brown, Ph.D., is the 1855 Community and Urban Journalism Professor and an associate professor in the School of Journalism. She is also the founding director of the LIFT Project -- an engaged research effort aimed at identifying networks of trusted messengers in Black communities in the Midwest to 1) understand their effects on civic and democratic life; 2) create, network, and allocate resources needed to inform Black communities better; and 3) build new opportunities for sustainable reparative narrative change.

Dr. Brown’s interdisciplinary and community-engaged scholarship utilizes the cross-sections of journalism, political science, and sociology. She specializes in analyses of media representations and narrative change, social movements and activism, and identity and political psychology. Dr. Brown has published dozens of articles in top-tier journals, and her work also appears in popular media outlets like the Washington Post, Nieman Lab, Columbia Journalism Review and The Conversation.

Much of her research and work has been supported with the more than $1.5 million in external funding she has secured from foundations and non-profit organizations like the Knight Foundation, Global Impact, Robert Wood Johnson, and Color of Change. She has received multiple awards and recognitions for her research and service record as an early-career scholar and her pioneering public engagement work. Dr. Brown is an associate editor for the International Journal of Press/Politics and serves on the editorial board for Journalism Practices. She previously served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota and Indiana University. Prior to joining the academy, she was a photojournalist, writer, and later a non-profit public relations professional. Her full curriculum vitae is available here.   <Source>

Already the red, and I do mean red, flags are flying as one can easily discern that the author’s bias and activism could easily affect her research findings and conclusions, especially using the pseudo-precise guidelines of the soft sciences such as sociology and the faux scientific pretense of “political science.”

How about her publications?

Bottom line…

The point is not to deny Professor Brown’s scholarship, research, and activism but to point out how wildly inappropriate that her work be featured in a scientific publication, even one that has devolved into a pathetic rag.

We are so screwed when pseudo-science is used to drive a political ideology and agenda.

CAN IT GET MUCH WORSE?

I never thought that I would see the President of the United States and his Administration fund a virulent enemy that shouts "Death to America" and openly degrade our best ally in the Middle East, Israel, as they are fighting barbaric terrorists that continually launch rockets into civilian populations.

Likewise, I never thought I would see American citizens fund the Democrat Party and then turn around and fund communist and Islamicist terror groups on the streets of American cities.

WHY ARE WE PRETENDING THAT IT IS BIDEN SPEAKING OR TAKING ACTION?

Obama-biden-plot

Even the most corrupt of political analysts will admit that President Joe Biden is severely mentally impaired and unfit to execute the duties of the President of the United States or serve as the Commander-in-Chief of our military forces. So, who is making the decisions and pronouncements from the Office of the Presidency?

There is little doubt that Biden’s handlers, all Obamacons and Clintonites, are in charge—taking their orders from the progressive communist democrat hierarchy headed by former President Barack Obama, an avowed anti-America, anti-White, anti-Semitic communist and community organizer with a sketchy and not well-documented history.

Why are we attributing the malign actions now taking place across the United States and in foreign lands to Joe Biden when he is mentally incapacitated and unable to deliver an impromptu speech longer than fifteen seconds?

Are we so blind as to see that trained agitators are surreptitiously inciting the college protests, many of the same who appeared in the Occupy Wall Street and George Floyd street riots—and who are likely to appear in the 2024 Democrat convention in Chicago—one of the most corrupt progressive communist democrat strongholds in America? Notably, the exact location as the location of the 1968 Democratic National Convention riots protesting the United States’ involvement in the Vietnam War—again organized and led by trained progressive communist democrat agitators.

Likewise, are we unaware that the progressive communist democrats and the current regime have captured the media, both legacy and social, using economic (contracts, grants, access, and other favors), legislative (anti-trust and exemption from civil liabilities), and personnel (former government employees with allegiance to their former intelligence, law enforcement, and other agencies) to enforce the regime’s dictates on a day-to-day basis?

Are we so blind as to ignore the fact that the very same individuals, organizations, foundations, and enemy countries funding the Biden campaign to elect a grossly incompetent incumbent president are the very ones funding the civil unrest and riots? Why are we not holding the funders of chaos responsible for what they are wreaking on America, from open borders to civil unrest?

Why would the Obama/Biden regime support terrorists over a tacit ally like Israel? Why would the Obama/Biden regime leave our borders open to criminals, crazies, terrorists, and an invasion of illegal aliens who are bankrupting our safety nets and treasury resources?

Are they simply appeasing the anti-Semitic left and willing to scapegoat the Jews to misdirect the public from their unconstitutional and disastrous domestic and foreign policies—or even their previous criminal behavior?

Are they sympathetic to the Islamicists?

Are they sympathetic to Iran, the agitator, funder, and arms supplier to radical terrorist regimes?

Or is this just part of the decades-long plan to destabilize America and bring about an authoritarian socialist government operated by the elites to benefit their oligarch sponsors?

And where is the pushback from the self-declared Republican opposition?

Actions, indeed, speak louder than words, yet all we get from the Republicans is tough talk in committee hearings and strongly worded letters. There are no subpoenas, criminal referrals, or ethics complaints—yada, yada, yada.

Bottom line…

Who can you trust?

Indeed, it is not the progressive communist democrat government that attempts to broker a cease-fire without the unconditional return of all hostages, including Americans. But, then again, this is the regime that left Americans and their allies behind the lines in Afghanistan to be captured, killed, raped, and mutilated.

Can anyone explain why the Biden Administration is deliberately withholding precision weapons from Israel at the same time they are demanding reduced civilian casualties? Or is it a ploy to amplify Hamas’s claims of Israel’s war crimes?

As for the Republicans, you hold your nose, vote for Trump, and pray things get better.

We are so screwed.

IF YOU BELIEVE THE PROGRESSIVE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS IN LOS ANGELES ARE SINCERE ABOUT ASSIMILATION INTO AN AMERICAN A COMMUNITY...

Ye shall know them by their actions…

Street-sign-community
Today, I visited a company in Koreatown, passing through Little Armenia and Historic Filipinotown to reach my destination.

The difference between a well-kept Koreatown and its Hispanic-dominated edges was striking.

After crossing some hidden, at least to me, border, we saw shanty stores selling tons of cheap merchandise, tents and homeless everywhere, and three tatted-up individuals openly defacing a building with their tags. No law enforcement was seen along the route.

There is no doubt that Los Angeles has a unique relationship with Mexico, enjoys the benefits of its rich culture, and welcomes legal residents, workers, and tourists. But the illegal alien invasion is crippling Los Angeles, California, and our nation.

Los Angeles was originally inhabited by the indigenous Tongva people.

In 1542 it was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo for Spain. The city was founded on September 4, 1781, under Spanish governor Felipe de Neve, on the village of Yaanga.

It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence.

In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and became part of the United States.

On April 4, 1850, Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality, five months before California achieved statehood on September 9, 1850.

However, modern Los Angeles has been balkanized by the progressive communist democrats, hell-bent on achieving power by creating enclaves of residents, both legal and illegal, and then gerrymandering districts to pander to ethnic constituents and cobbling them together to form a coalition, an unholy license if you will, to direct multi-billions taxpayers’ funds to the special interests while much of Los Angeles decays.

Bottom line…

Much of Los Angeles looks like the slums of Tijuana as the L.A. City Council accepts continuing decay and pursues policies favoring illegal aliens, criminals, drug dealers, and the indigent living off social services. Each increase in funding to combat “the homeless problem” appears to create more homeless and wealthier developers, political grifters, and non-governmental organizations. Great cities are in a downward spiral, and nobody seems to care unless the cameras and microphones are present.

Already, the Iranians occupy Beverly Hills and the Los Angeles communities of Bel-Air and Brentwood. The Arabs are creating Little Arabia in Orange County, near the Western part of Anaheim. The Russian and Ukrainian communities are spread outside Los Angeles and lack a distinctive city sign.

When will these signs come down, and we acknowledge we are legal Americans, not hyphenated political constructs?

We are so screwed.

PROGRESSIVE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS: DREAMING AND SCHEMING

Future shock?

Preparing for the upcoming October surprise where the progressive communist democrats switch out the Biden-Harris ticket for something different after Biden wins the nomination and then becomes incapacitated. Yes, it would be dramatic, but that's what it is likely to take to shock America into continuing down the road to societal collapse.

In a clear case of deceptive and dishonest projection, the progressive communist democrats have criminalized the long-standing practice of challenging elections at the local, state, and federal levels to hold former President Donald J. Trump guilty of doing the exact same thing the Democrats have done for decades--and continue to do when they lose elections.

Just like the Democrats had accused former President Trump of requesting a quid pro quo deal in Ukraine to investigate his political opposition in return for military aid, we found that former Vice President Joe Biden confessed to a successful quid pro quo deal when he boasted of withholding a billion-dollar loan guarantee unless the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating his son’s business dealings was fired. Moreover, we are now learning that the “secret” whistleblower worked for Vice President Biden, was deeply involved in Ukrainian affairs, knew of Hunter Biden’s activities and Joe Biden’s quid pro quo, and did nothing. The Democrats and Adam Schiff manipulated whistleblower requirements to offer second-hand hearsay instead of swearing to first-hand knowledge of the reported allegation.

Some Of Biden’s Biggest Donors Also Backing Pro-Palestinian Protesters

Some of the most outspoken groups against President Joe Biden and Israel get funding from foundations attached to some of the biggest names in Democratic circles.

Biden has been dogged for months by pro-Palestinian protesters for his support of Israel in its war in Gaza against Palestinian-backed Hamas. But some of the groups behind the demonstrations receive financial backing from philanthropists also pushing hard for Biden’s reelection.

The donors include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: Gates, Soros, Rockefeller and Pritzker, according to a POLITICO analysis.

Two of the organizers behind protests at Columbia University and on other campuses are Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow. Both are supported by the Tides Foundation, which is seeded by Democratic megadonor George Soros as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and it in turn supports numerous small nonprofits that work for social change. <Source>

Bottom line...

Buckle up; the progressive communists are desperate to retain their power at all costs, even sabotaging the nation and colluding with our enemies.

We are so screwed.

TODAY'S RANT: IGNORING OUR K-12 STUDENTS

TODAYS-RANT

One thing that annoys me the most is stories about school systems and administrators complaining they do not have enough money to pay off student’s lunch debt.

This story is about individual kindness and community spirit.

Lunch
11-year-old raises money to pay off classmate’s lunch debt

An 11-year-old student from Missouri is raising money to pay off his classmates’ lunch debt.

“It’s important for kids to eat,” Daken Kramer said. “I don’t think they could make it through the day without eating a school lunch.”

Officials with the Blue Springs School District said all kids have access to school lunches and are provided a free breakfast for those who qualify. But they said that’s led to a lot of unpaid school lunch debt.

“We definitely have quite a bit of lunch debt that piles up, especially at the end of the year,” Principal Dr. Alison Longwell said. Longwell said there is more than $3,000 of debt at her elementary school alone and more than $225,000 in the district.

“Sometimes we have businesses reach out, but we don’t typically have families reach out,” she said. The school district said lunch debt is a huge issue for schools everywhere right now.

That’s why Daken said he wants to pitch in and help as he moves on to middle school. So far he’s raised $560. <Source>

BssdThe Blue Springs R-IV School District, reorganized in 1949, comprises of nearly 15,000 students and 2,300 staff. The City of Blue Springs is the 10th largest municipality in Missouri, and BSSD’s boundaries include parts of Grain Valley, Lee’s Summit, and Independence. BSSD is home to the first and sixth-largest high schools in the state. The Blue Springs School District is proud to be recognized locally and nationally as an exceptional school district.

Bottom line...

Our government is trillions in debt and paying the salaries and retirement benefits for Ukrainian employees, yet we seem to be ignoring the most vulnerable among us: our children.

I find it absolutely disgusting that the progressive communist democrats in the Obama/Biden Administration can wipe out billions in student loan debt and ignore the relatively minor debts that students owe to school districts for essential lunches.

Why are the representatives in the House sucking down pork for their special interests and not supporting the children in their district?

We are so screwed.
