MAJORIE TAYLOR GREEN: ATTACKING THE GOP, EMPOWERING PROGRESSIVE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS
With a one-vote majority that risks seeing progressive communist democrat Hakeem Sekou Jeffries assume the position of third in line for the Presidency and the power to shut down all current investigations of the corrupt Obama-Biden Administration, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed a motion to force a vote on House Speaker Mike Johnson’s removal from the speakership.
During the vote on the pending $1.2 TRILLION, pork-laden, budget bill, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, filed a a motion to vacate resolution with the House clerk that would remove House Speaker Mike Johnson from office if approved by the House. With the House scheduled to leave for a two-week recess on March 22, 2024, Greene’s motion to vacate would happen at the earliest on April 9, 2024. Greene originally demanded that Speaker Johnson not bring the legislation to the floor for a vote, characterizing it as a "Demo'rat-controlled bill.” By the rules established last year, after Representative McCarthy's (R-CA) election, any Member of the House can make a Motion to Vacate, which then requires a vote. A Democratic Representative could make the motion, but since the Republicans have the majority, they will presumably support their Speaker unless rogue representatives intervene. Historically, this threshold was not successfully met until last October when a group of Republicans joined forces with Democrats to remove then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Joining all the Democrats were Republican representatives Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale. All because these GOP ass-wipes could not abide a bill that was the best budget bill in history AND DEMANDED NO BILL BE PASSED. What we have here with Marjorie Taylor Greene is Senator Rand Paul in skirts, a grandstanding backbencher who claims the moral high ground on behalf of conservatives, even if it disadvantages the GOP and is little more than damaging virtue signaling on steroids.
Bottom line…
Both the progressive communist democrats and the GOP are in favor of a bill that allows House and Senate politicians to return to their districts with pork projects for the special interests just seven months before they face the voters.
We are so screwed.
