I am shocked, disgusted, but not surprised, that the Majority Leader of the United States Senate, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), would openly interfere in the national politics of Israel, a nation fighting an existential war against what seems to be omnipresent institutionalized perpetual terrorism.

Four Obstacles To Peace
Right now, there are four major obstacles standing in the way of two states, and until they are removed from the equation, there will never be peace in Israel and Gaza and the West Bank.
Those four major obstacles are:
Hamas, and the Palestinians who support and tolerate their evil ways.
Radical right-wing Israelis in government and society.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Call for New Elections
Five months into this conflict, it is clear that Israelis need to take stock of the situation and ask: must we change course?

At this critical juncture, I believe a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel, at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government.

I also believe a majority of the Israeli public will recognize the need for change, and I believe that holding a new election once the war starts to wind down would give Israelis an opportunity to express their vision for the post-war future.

Of course, the United States cannot dictate the outcome of an election, nor should we try. That is for the Israeli public to decide — a public that I believe understands better than anybody that Israel cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world.
As a democracy, Israel has the right to choose its own leaders, and we should let the chips fall where they may. But the important thing is that Israelis are given a choice. There needs to be a fresh debate about the future of Israel after October 7.
In my opinion, that is best accomplished by holding an election.

Two State Solution
And now, as a result of these inflamed tensions in both the Israeli and Palestinian communities, people on all sides of this war are turning away from a two-state solution — including Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who in recent weeks has said out loud repeatedly what many have long suspected by outright rejecting the idea of Palestinian statehood and sovereignty.

As the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in our government, and a staunch defender of Israel, I rise today to say unequivocally: This is a grave mistake. For Israel. For Palestinians. For the region and the world.

As I said, there are also some Israelis who oppose even a two-state solution with a demilitarized Palestinian State because they fear that it might tolerate or be a harbor for further terrorism against a Jewish state.
I understand these fears. But the bitter reality is that a single state controlled by Israel, which they advocate, guarantees certain war forever, and further isolation of the Jewish community in the world to the extent that its future would be jeopardized.
Let me elaborate.
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.If Israel were to not only maintain the status quo but go beyond that and tighten its control over Gaza and the West Bank, as some in the current Netanyahu administration have suggested — in effect creating a de facto single state — then what reasonable expectation can we have that Hamas and their allies will lay down their arms? It would mean constant war.

Criticism of Netanyahu Government
I have known Prime Minister Netanyahu for a long time. While we have vehemently disagreed on many occasions, I will always respect his extraordinary bravery for Israel on the battlefield as a younger man. I believe in his heart his highest priority is the security of Israel.
However, I also believe Prime Minister Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel.

He has put himself in coalition with far-right extremists like Ministers Smotrich and Ben-Gvir, and as a result, he has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza, which is pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows. Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.

As a lifelong supporter of Israel, it has become clear to me:
The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7. The world has changed — radically — since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision that is stuck in the past.

He won’t engage responsibly in discussions about a “day-after” plan for Gaza, and a longer-term pathway to peace.

A billionaire megadonor is “bullying” members of Congress by threatening to stop funding them if they back a bill to order TikTok’s Chinese parent to sell the app, The Post has learned.
Hedge fund manager Jeff Yass is personally calling Republican members of the House to try to halt legislation which would force ByteDance to divest itself of the app, putting it in US hands instead.
His fund has a $33 billion stake in the Chinese company.
The bill, known as the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, was being marked up Thursday.
It would force ByteDance to either sell TikTok to an American company in 6 months or be banned entirely.
It was jointly drawn up by Rep. Mike Gallagher, the chair of the House select committee on the Chinese Communist Party, and the Democratic ranking member, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi.
Yass is a Republican megadonor who has funneled $130 million since 2020 into PACs and a right-of-center think tank, The Club for Growth, which then funnels money to libertarian and GOP lawmakers such as Senators Ted Cruz (Texas) and Rick Scott (Fla.) and Rep. Jim Banks (Ind.)
A spokesman for Yass denied that he was making calls to Republican members of Congress and said, “Jeff learned about this proposed bill yesterday [Tuesday] and has not spoken with anyone about it. Any suggestion otherwise is categorically false.”

Six days after California’s 2024 primary election, a report from the California Secretary of State’s office shows that over 1.7 million ballots, or roughly 27.6 percent of the vote, remain uncounted, and those counts are still not reflected in the results. Six days is enough time for the progressive communist Democrats who control California politics to stage-manage a rigged election.
California’s delay in counting millions of votes is entirely UNACCEPTABLE! These delays only undermine public trust and confidence in our elections.

Unprocessed Ballots Status
It typically takes weeks for counties to process and count all of the ballots. Elections officials have approximately one month to complete their extensive tallying, auditing, and certification work (known as the official canvass).
Every active, registered voter was sent a vote-by-mail ballot. Vote-by-mail ballots postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the county elections official no later than seven days after the election will be processed and can be counted. In processing vote-by-mail ballots, elections officials must confirm each voter’s registration status, verify each voter’s signature on the vote-by-mail envelope, and ensure each person did not vote elsewhere in the same election before the ballot can be counted.
Other ballots that are processed after Election Day include provisional ballots (processed similar to vote-by-mail ballots), conditional voter registration provisional ballots, and ballots that are damaged or cannot be machine-read and must be remade by elections officials.
The below Unprocessed Ballots Report features unofficial county updates on the number of outstanding ballots that still need to be processed during the official canvass. This information is required to be reported by county elections officials on the second day after Election Day and an updated report is required on each day the official publicly releases updated election results.
State law requires county elections officials to report final official results for presidential delegates to the Secretary of State by April 2, 2024, and all other state contests by April 5, 2024. As much as I respect and admire Ric Grenell, I have little faith in the California GOP -- a feckless bunch of establishment jackasses who go along to get along, protecting their cushy jobs rather than advocating for our citizens.
Should Donald Trump win the Presidency, I do not doubt that Ric Grenell will be offered a significant position, and the Fix California initiative will fall by the wayside. That is unless we threaten to vote those corrupt and communist politicians out of office. To do that, it takes money and manpower -- with manpower being more important than money.

All around me, the people are chattering about the 96th Academy Awards, otherwise known as the “OSCARS” or, as I see it, the Overblown Showcase of Celebrities’ Arrogant Recognition Speeches.
Jimmy Kimmel, former comedian and now progressive political commentator, will host the show, which will be executive produced by his wife, Molly McNearney, the producer of Kimmel’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Hollywood-style nepotism at its finest. And they are supported by a cadre of at least 30 progressive comedy writers.

Most concerning are the celebrities who use their influence to sow division and hatred. From spreading un-American rhetoric to endorsing murderous terrorists, these toxic ideas poison our collective consciousness and culture as they undermine the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve.
Celebrity is a world of make-believe where only “We the People” are deceived.
It should be noted that the Oscars were delayed by useful pro-terrorist idiots calling for a ceasefire to Israel’s war in Gaza, and some winners used their pro-Palestiniam speeches to decry the humanitarian crisis caused solely by Israel, not the terrorists in the region. Funny, nobody called for Hamas to surrender.
