Shameful Government Spending: Prioritizing Foreign Aid Over Domestic Crises

In the wake of recent natural disasters that have devastated several states, it’s hard not to feel outraged at Biden/Harris’ spending priorities. As communities struggle to recover from floods, wildfires, and hurricanes, our leaders seem more focused on sending billions overseas to pay the pensions of Ukrainians than addressing the urgent needs at home.

Foreign Aid vs. Domestic Recovery

Recent reports reveal staggering allocations of taxpayer dollars: billions for military and humanitarian aid to a manifestly corrupt Ukraine, $2.1 billion to Afghanistan, $385 million for Lebanon, and millions more dedicated to supporting illegal aliens who are sucking our safety net resources dry.

While some international assistance can be vital, juxtaposing these funds against the backdrop of American towns and cities grappling with the aftermath of disasters is troubling. It raises the question: why are we prioritizing foreign aid to hostile and corrupt nations over the pressing needs of our own citizens?

The Human Cost of Neglect

Families in affected states face uncertainty, displacement, and the daunting task of rebuilding their lives. Schools, roads, and essential services are often left in ruins, and yet the response from FEMA appears muted compared to the swift and substantial financial aid dispatched to other countries. This disparity neglects those in dire need and sends a message that foreign commitments are valued more than domestic welfare. According to a damage analysis by CoreLogic, about $20 billion and $30 billion of uninsured flood losses occurred due to Hurricane Helene as another historic storm, Hurricane Milton, bears down on the area.

Giving $750.00 to citizens who have lost everything is unacceptable. Many of them are not covered by insurance or face years of fighting their insurance claims. Many are without phones, computers, and addresses, so applying is difficult, and delivering an EBT card is next to impossible. Where are the FEMA aid centers?

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas went on a luxury shopping spree in Georgetown this weekend as residents across southern Appalachia continue to beg for emergency supplies.

Accountability and Prioritization

Taxpayers deserve transparency regarding where their money is going. While helping our allies and certain humanitarian efforts are essential, it shouldn’t come at the expense of American citizens in crisis. The need for a balanced approach is clear: we must advocate for a government that prioritizes recovery and resilience at home while still engaging responsibly on the global stage.

Bottom Line: A Call to Action

It’s time for citizens to demand accountability and prioritize funding for disaster recovery efforts. This means ensuring our elected representatives recognize the urgency of rebuilding communities decimated by natural disasters. We must also call for re-evaluating practices that currently favor corrupt or hostile foreign interests over the pressing needs of Americans.

While Republicans do not have all of the solutions, at least they, like the progressive communist democrats, are not responsible for the catastrophe that has befallen our government.

While Biden is sunning his balls on the beach, Harris is playing solitaire or fundraising, or DHS Secretary Mayorkas is shopping for clothes, who is minding the Country?

We are so screwed.
