Is she lying now, or was she lying then?

On October 15, 2019, Kamala Harris spoke with CNN host Jake Tapper after a Democratic primary debate, suggesting that President Donald Trump’s profile should be removed from Twitter and that social media platforms should be regulated.

"He has lost his privileges and it should be taken down. And the bottom line is that you can't say that you have one rule for Facebook and you have a different rule for Twitter.

The same rule has to apply, which is that there has to be a responsibility that is placed on these social media sites to understand their power. They are directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation. And that has to stop."

I find it astonishing that the Democrat Party, who stood for free speech and the widespread expression of ideas in the 1960s, now wants to impose censorship on their opposition in a blatant power grab.

The solution is simple: Remove the provisions of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996, which shields Internet providers from legal liability over most user content if they act as content providers and do not act as content publishers with editorial control.

If they want to act as censors, make them responsible for the consequences of their actions.

As for Kamala Harris...
