Raskin: Trump can’t hold office again under 14th Amendment

Representative Jamie “The Red” Raskin (D-MD) continues to assert that he thinks the U.S. Constitution “could not be any clearer” that former President Trump is ineligible to hold public office again under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment that disqualifies former government officials from holding office if they took an oath to support the Constitution but then betrayed it by engaging in an insurrection.

I wonder if this progressive communist democrat could show me where the riotous event of January 6 was legally declared an insurrection and where former President Trump was legally found guilty of inciting or participating in an insurrection.

Furthermore, I wonder if this progressive communist democrat could show me where the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol was legitimate under House Rules, given that the correct number of Committee members were not seated. The minority members were selected by the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, rather than the House Minority Leader.

There were only nine members and one minority member, Liz Cheney R-WY) was appointed Vice Chair, which is a totally different function.

In addition, the Committee destroyed official Committee documents before a change in Committee leadership, a crime under existing federal law.

SEC. 2.COMPOSITION.

(a) Appointment Of Members.—The Speaker shall appoint 13 Members to the Select Committee, 5 of whom shall be appointed after consultation with the minority leader.

(b) Designation Of Chair.—The Speaker shall designate one Member to serve as chair of the Select Committee.

(c) Vacancies.—Any vacancy in the Select Committee shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.

Additionally, given the Committee's inappropriate behavior, including members who suborned perjury, manipulated or created evidence, or lied during official proceedings, why is this Committee’s work not expunged from the official recorded and Members censured or expelled for ethics violations. <Source>

Bottom line…

I believe that what Raskin terms an insurrection should rightly be labeled a Fedsurrection, given the Congressional leadership’s failure to protect the Capitol from a known threat and the member’s participation in a cover-up of culpability for the events that transpired.

I also believe that the federal government inappropriately charged and prosecuted innocent members of the public who were welcomed into the Capitol by Capitol police officers.

I also believe that there were government employees, agents, contractors, and informants in the crowd who were agitators and who guided much of the action.

I also believe that the police officer who shot and killed Ashley Babbitt was not adequately investigated and charged with excessive use of force and manslaughter.

And, I believe evidence exists that Raskin, as well as other Committee Members, are guilty of participating in a progressive communist democrat conspiracy to interfere with a presidential election, which should also result in censure or expulsion from Congress.

If that little commie bastard Raskin is suggesting that Congress will act to block the certification of a legitimately elected Donald Trump, then he should be tried for attempting to overthrow the government of the United States and sent to prison with all of his fellow co-conspirators--after all isn't that what they advocated for Donald Trump?

We are so screwed.
