WHO IS PULLING DHS SECRETARY MAYORKAS' STRINGS?
Does Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas realize that his duty is to the U.S. Constitution and not to the progressive communist democrat party or an incapacitated President Biden?
“I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
Alejandro Mayorkas was officially sworn in as the seventh Secretary of Homeland Security. Secretary Mayorkas took the oath this afternoon after the Senate voted to confirm him. As Secretary of Homeland Security, Mayorkas now leads the third largest federal department in the United States, which includes the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the United States Secret Service.
“DHS bears an extraordinary weight on behalf of the American people, the weight of grave challenges seen and unseen,” said Secretary Mayorkas. “It is the greatest privilege of my life to return to the Department to lead the men and women who dedicate their talent and energy to the safety and security of our nation. I will work every day to ensure that they have the tools they need to execute their missions with honor and integrity. The mission of the Department of Homeland Security is to safeguard the American people, our homeland, and our values. The United States is a welcoming and empathetic nation, one that finds strength in its diversity. I pledge to defend and secure our country without sacrificing these American values.”
Secretary Mayorkas is the first immigrant to serve in the role of DHS Secretary. His parents arrived with him and his sister to the United States as refugees after fleeing Cuba in 1960. Secretary Mayorkas previously served as the DHS Deputy Secretary from 2013 to 2016. Prior to holding that position, he was the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the agency charged with operating the largest immigration system in the world. <Source>
There is no doubt that Secretary Mayorkas, as the former Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, is unaware of the Constitution, the immigration system’s failings, and what must be done to remedy them. Perhaps he is overwhelmed by his job, simply incompetent, or, most likely, taking orders from an illegitimate president who lacks the mental capacity to lead the nation.
One might consider that the TSA, a massive bureaucracy whose successes are questionable, could be better-used processing illegal aliens. The most fit among them could be vetting airline contractors and those with unfettered access to airport facilities.
Statement from Secretary Mayorkas on Record Three Million Screenings by TSA Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas released the following statement following yesterday’s record three million passenger screenings by the Transportation Security Administration. “Yesterday, for the first time since its founding in November 2001, Transportation Security Administration officers screened more than three million travelers on a single day at airports across the country. It was an extraordinary achievement: TSA fully, unerringly, and efficiently checked 35 passengers every second, along with all their luggage and carry-on baggage, while demonstrating unwavering professionalism and respect for travelers during the intensely busy holiday weekend. Congratulations to the entire TSA workforce and Administrator David Pekoske. “Every day, the men and women of TSA enable millions of travelers to reach their destinations safely and securely. Yet, for decades, TSA officers received less pay for their service than their government counterparts did. One year ago, our Department, together with our partners in Congress, finally ended this injustice and secured long-overdue pay fairness. Its impact is already evident: In just the last year, TSA workforce attrition has been cut in half, recruitment rates are rising, and surveys report improved morale and job satisfaction across the agency. “Now, with record-breaking travel spurred by our nation’s strong economy expected to continue in the months ahead, it is imperative that Congress ensure pay fairness for TSA permanently. It is the smart thing to do for everyone who depends on TSA to keep our skies and our country safe, and it is the right thing to do for these great public servants.” <Source> |
Yemen is a near-failed state, governed by warlords and factional powers, whose Houthi rebels, designated as a “terrorist” organization, continue to interrupt global shipping with minimal U.S. involvement and pushback. So why are we hosting their citizens when they cannot be vetted properly?
Secretary Mayorkas Announces Extension and Redesignation of Yemen for Temporary Protected Status Redesignation Allows Additional Newly Eligible Yemeni Nationals to Apply for TPS and Employment Authorization Documents WASHINGTON – Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas today announced the extension and redesignation of Yemen for Temporary Protected Status for 18 months, from September 4, 2024, to March 3, 2026, due to country conditions in Yemen that prevent individuals from safely returning. After consultation with interagency partners, Secretary Mayorkas determined that an 18-month extension and redesignation of Yemen for TPS is warranted because ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions continue to support Yemen’s TPS designation, and that the extension and redesignation are not contrary to the national interest of the United States. “Yemen has been in a state of protracted conflict for the past decade, severely limiting civilians’ access to water, food, and medical care, pushing the country to the brink of economic collapse, and preventing Yemeni nationals living abroad from safely returning home,” said Secretary Mayorkas. “The steps the Department of Homeland Security has taken today will allow certain Yemenis currently residing in the United States to remain and work here until conditions in their home country improve.” The redesignation of Yemen for TPS allows an estimated 1,700 Yemeni nationals (and individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Yemen) who have been continuously residing in the United States since July 2, 2024 to file initial applications for TPS, if they are otherwise eligible. The extension of TPS for Yemen allows approximately 2,300 current beneficiaries to retain TPS through March 3, 2026, if they continue to meet TPS eligibility requirements. This extension and redesignation does not apply for anyone who was not already in the United States on July 2, 2024. Accompanying this announcement is a Special Student Relief notice for F-1 nonimmigrant students whose country of citizenship is Yemen, or individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Yemen, so that eligible students may request employment authorization, work an increased number of hours while school is in session, and reduce their course load while continuing to maintain F-1 status through the TPS designation period. <Source> |
Bottom line…
There is no doubt in my mind that our cabinet-level appointees are serving the progressive communist democrat party and not the United States and its Constitution. Why else has Vice President Kamala Harris and the Cabinet not invoked the 25th Amendment to remove an incapacitated President Biden?
We are so screwed.
