SECRET SERVICE: INCOMPETENCE OR SOMETHING DARKER?

Despite an unbelievable display of incompetence and incredible dereliction of duty, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas declared, “I have 100 percent confidence” in Secret Service Director Cheatle. This, in itself, is highly suspicious, given Mayorkas' betrayal of the Constitution and his nation.

Is the “it’s under investigation” fix in to deny sworn testimony and document production? Or, will it be the “can’t testify publicly because it would reveal ‘methods and sources?’”

DHS Inspector General Opens Investigation into Secret Service Failure at Trump Rally

The Department of Homeland Security inspector general opened an investigation on Wednesday into the Secret Service’s failure to prevent the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump at Saturday’s Pennsylvania rally.

The objective of the probe is to “Evaluate the United States Secret Service’s (Secret Service) process for securing former President Trump’s July 13, 2024 campaign event,” according to a short notice posted to the inspector general’s website. No specific date was given for when the investigation was launched.

The newly launched investigation comes after President Joe Biden had directed the Secret Service to conduct an independent review of its security lapses at the rally in Butler, Pa. Under scrutiny for failing to prevent the shooting, Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle will testify publicly before the House Oversight Committee hearing next Monday.

The House Homeland Security Committee has also invited Cheatle, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and FBI director Christopher Wray to testify at a public hearing next Tuesday. <Source>

Mayorkas Is Blocking Secret Service Director From Testifying

The Department of Homeland Security has opened an investigation after the Secret Service catastrophically failed to protect former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last weekend. Trump narrowly escaped death after a bullet went through his ear while he was speaking at a lectern. The shooter was positioned on an unsecured roof just 140 yards away from the stage. The DHS Inspector General has also opened an investigation. According to House Speaker Mike Johnson, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is attempting to block Cheatle from testifying. <Source>

U.S. Senators Prohibited from Asking Questions in Secret Service Conference Call After Attempted Trump Assassination

A source familiar with the conversation confirmed to The Tennessee Star that multiple members of the U.S. Senate were prohibited from asking questions during a Wednesday conference call with the U.S. Secret Service in the wake of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

The allegation surfaced after U.S. Senator Mike Lee revealed the Secret Service was “briefing senators” about the attempted assassination “on a conference call,” during which he claimed the federal agency provided “details that aren’t all helpful” and little information about “the failures that led to this tragedy.”

Sean Davis, the co-founder of The Federalist who recently argued the Secret Service “created the conditions” for the assassination attempt to occur, then reported that “multiple senators were prohibited from asking any questions” directed to the federal agency.

Davis listed U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Mike Lee (R-UT) as individuals who were “left in the queue and not allowed to ask questions of the agency they fund and oversee.” <Source>

From the House Committee on Homeland Security…

To assist the Committee in its oversight of the government’s security and response efforts surrounding the attempted assassination of President Trump and the Department’s responsibility to provide adequate security for President Trump and all presidential candidates, please provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, but no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 19, 2024:

1. Documents sufficient to show the security plan to secure the perimeter of the event site, to include areas such as the building from which the shooter attempted the assassination on President Trump, and other locations that were considered as possible vulnerabilities or lapses in providing security for the July 13, 2024 presidential campaign rally;

2. All documents and communications, including but not limited to, e-mail, text messages, internal memoranda, and guidance, between or among any office within the Department of Homeland Security or the U.S. Secret Service, and the Executive Office of the President, referring or relating to any potential increase or addition of protective resources to President Trump’s security detail from November 15, 2022, to the present;

3. Documents sufficient to explain the U.S. Secret Service’s rules of engagement or protocols to assess and neutralize threats towards a protectee, particularly for possible assassination attempts;

5. Copies of any and all briefing materials created by the Department of Homeland Security or the U.S. Secret Service, to include talking points used by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas or Director Kimberly Cheatle, to brief President Joe Biden about the assassination attempt on President Trump.

Hopefully, the committee hearings will be honest bi-partisan affairs with no filibustering or speechifying.

I would like to know if there was any contact with the assassin by any government agent, contractor, confidential informant, cut-out, or directed third party. Was this a monumental security failure or a plan to create a success path for an anticipated shooter? Also, why the shooter’s parents were compelled to call law enforcement when their son was missing for such a short time?

This isn’t the first Secret Service screw-up under Director Cheatle

  1. A few months ago, an agent assigned to Vice President Kamala Harris had an alleged “psychotic break” while on duty and attacked her supervisor. That agent graduated despite several concerns about her fitness—Kim Cheatle was the Special Agent in Charge of the training center and hell-bent on promoting DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) in the ranks.

  2. All of the internal Secret Service text messages from January 6th were purged without notice, with Cheatle blaming a telephone changeover.

  3. A bomb was overlooked by the Secret Service when Kamala Harris was nearby. Harris said nothing about why she was at the location or mentioned a potential assassination attempt. Critical information has been manipulated or deleted.

  4. Unable to find who planted cocaine in the White House.

Bottom line…

It’s a bitch when you can’t trust your government.

We are so screwed.
