WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE U.S. MILITARY?
With the arrival of a convoy of four Russian ships, including the Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov, one of the Russian Navy’s most modern ships, and the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan, in Cuba, I cannot understand who is serving as the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military.
Indeed, it cannot be President Biden who is clearly incapacitated and cannot function as the leader of a Boy Scout troop, let alone the U.S. military.
It cannot be the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown Jr., as his role is advisory, and he is not in the chain of command.
This leaves an Obama affirmative action acolyte, United States Secretary of Defense General Lloyd J. Austin, who is subject only to the president’s orders and exercises command and control, for both operational and administrative purposes, over the overall service branches administered by the Department of Defense. Considering the Afghanistan surrender to the Taliban, the loss of a strategic airbase, and the abandonment of billions of dollars of sophisticated weaponry, I have doubts that Austin is any more than a jumped-up Colonel surrounded by Obama-style commanders.
So, who can respond to rapidly evolving world events?
Business as usual: Tit for tat…
With NATO deliberately encroaching on Russia’s borders, it would be “reasonable” to expect a counter-movement of arms closer to the American border.
Why would we expect anything different from the progressive communist democrats who run the State Department, and especially the Secretary of State, an admirer of appeasement and the cheese-eating surrender monkeys in France?
In 2013, in an address to the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C., Secretary of State John Kerry declared, “The era of the Monroe Doctrine is over.” Thus, the death of a critical component of the nearly 200-year-old diplomatic policy relating to European and Asian incursion into North America was announced.
Kerry Makes It Official: 'Era of Monroe Doctrine Is Over'
Mr. Kerry expanded upon his remarks, making clear that for the Obama administration, the old paradigm of a Washington-dominated hemisphere is passé.
"The relationship that we seek and that we have worked hard to foster is not about a United States declaration about how and when it will intervene in the affairs of other American states. It's about all of our countries viewing one another as equals, sharing responsibilities, cooperating on security issues, and adhering not to doctrine, but to the decisions that we make as partners to advance the values and the interests that we share," he said. <Source>
However, we are not equals, and we serve to protect individual freedom, liberty, and democracy.
Monroe Doctrine (1823)
The Monroe Doctrine was articulated in President James Monroe's seventh annual message to Congress on December 2, 1823. The European powers, according to Monroe, were obligated to respect the Western Hemisphere as the United States' sphere of interest.
President James Monroe’s 1823 annual message to Congress contained the Monroe Doctrine, which warned European powers not to interfere in the affairs of the Western Hemisphere.
Understandably, the United States has always taken a particular interest in its closest neighbors – the nations of the Western Hemisphere. Equally understandably, expressions of this concern have not always been favorably regarded by other American nations.
The Monroe Doctrine is the best known U.S. policy toward the Western Hemisphere. Buried in a routine annual message delivered to Congress by President James Monroe in December 1823, the doctrine warns European nations that the United States would not tolerate further colonization or puppet monarchs. The doctrine was conceived to meet major concerns of the moment, but it soon became a watchword of U.S. policy in the Western Hemisphere. <Source>
Bottom line…
The only thing guiding White House diplomacy is the progressive communist democrat’s agenda and the acolytes of former President and Communist-in-Chief Barack Obama, who defenestrated the U.S. military command and crippled its operations.
We are so screwed, and I am worried about the nation’s survival.
