The man who is running hard to replace President Joseph Biden in the 2024 presidential election is your typical elite progressive communist democrat fool who believes he is qualified to lead our nation and impose California’s insane policies on the country.

Regardless of the fact that California’s fiscal status is fiction and created by an accounting system that is defective by design, our idiot Governor has managed to turn a fictional $97.5 billion budget surplus two years ago into a very real and probably understated $45 billion deficit.

The man with all the answers…

Two years ago, the surplus was attributed to “surging revenues from the post-pandemic economic recovery.”

No other state in American history has ever experienced a surplus as large as this,” Newsom said as he unveiled a revised $300 billion 2022-23 budget, which was $14 billion higher than his original proposal

The budget he signed a month later was even larger, $307 billion, with immense new commitments, including cash payments to poor families and expansions of health care and early childhood education. <Source>

And now, two years later, the deficit is being blamed on the weather.

“We anticipated that shortfall,” Newsom said at a news conference in which he outlined his plan to close the budget gap. “What we didn’t anticipate is these rain bombs … these atmospheric rivers that led to a federal declaration that led to FEMA and the IRS moving in a direction where we couldn’t collect our taxes until, I believe Nov. 16, as opposed to April 15.”

He went on to say he considered “our financial delays as just another example of why we need to tackle” climate change, which “has impacts well beyond those that are often promoted.” <Source>

California’s Moral Authority?

According to UCLA economics professor and Hoover Institution senior fellow Lee Ohanian, Gavin Newsom doesn’t want to be in the background. He is on a quest to impose California’s “moral authority” on the rest of the country, or at least on red states whose policies he disagrees with. He states in his interview, “It’s time to get on offense.” How? By using the economic strength of California’s economy. But in his zeal to fight states and politicians whose politics he doesn’t like with the bludgeon of California’s economy, not only has Newsom lost sight of the state’s enormous policy priorities, but his decisions are either misfiring or negatively impacting the state, or both.

California has a travel ban on state government–affiliated travel to 23 US states because of policies that don’t align with California political leaders’ beliefs.

And then there is Newsom’s recent decision to cut state ties with Walgreens pharmacy: “California won't be doing business with @walgreens—or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women’s lives at risk. We’re done.”

Newsom was angry because Walgreens, one of the country’s largest pharmacy chains, chose to stop selling the abortion drug mifepristone in the 20 states where its sale is being legally challenged. Walgreens explained its decision on the basis of obeying state laws: “We intend to be a certified pharmacy and will distribute Mifepristone only in those jurisdictions where it is legal and operationally feasible.”

So, Newsom decided California would no longer do business with Walgreens, even though Walgreens was selling mifepristone in California. Newsom later found out that canceling one of the largest pharmacies in California isn’t so easy. And this was good news for millions of poor and disabled Californians who receive healthcare through Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid system, and who receive their Medi-Cal prescriptions through Walgreens. <Source>

Bottom line…

I can’t imagine this putz running the federal government and using executive orders to continue the work of Obama and Biden to destroy America from within.

We are so screwed.
