Remarks by President Biden in State of the Union Address
U.S. Capitol
Washington, D.C.
(March 7, 2024)

Mr. Speaker, Madam Vice President, members of Congress, my fellow Americans.

In January 1941, Franklin Roosevelt came to this chamber to speak to the nation. And he said, “I address you at a moment unprecedented in the history of the Union.” Hitler was on the march. War was raging in Europe.

President Roosevelt’s purpose was to wake up Congress and alert the American people that this was no ordinary time. Freedom and democracy were under assault in the world.

Tonight, I come to the same chamber to address the nation. Now it’s we who face an unprecedented moment in the history of the Union.

And, yes, my purpose tonight is to wake up the Congress and alert the American people that this is no ordinary moment either.

Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and democracy been under assault at home as they are today.

What makes our moment rare is that freedom and democracy are under attack at — both at home and overseas at the very same time. <Source>

The threat from overseas is well known…

China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are all well-known adversaries—with many hostile powers having purchased influence in our corrupt government on local, state, and federal levels. Likewise, Middle Eastern entities like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and others have mounted similar influence campaigns as they quietly fund terrorists to avoid the overthrow of their various monarchies.

However, the threat from within is more dangerous than our external enemies…

Consider President Biden’s words, “Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and democracy been under assault at home as they are today.”  This is literally true, as the internal enemy at the time was the Democrat Party, the party of slavery, segregation, and later, Jim Crow, the KKK, and the opposition to civil rights legislation. Yes, we are facing much the same enemy, only this time supercharged with radical progressive communist democrats.

All you need to reveal the truth is to understand the concept of projection—attributing your actions to your opposition and turning everything inside out. Redefining words, claiming black is white, up is down, and, most egregiously, men can become women and vice versa.

Look around…

America was well on its way to recovery from a disastrous financial disaster. Racial tensions were minimal. Our nation was becoming energy-independent, and our economy was recovering.

Enter the Democrats, spearheaded by a radical progressive communist democrat, Barack Hussein Obama, who reintroduced identity politics into all things American. He set about destroying America from within, first with healthcare, followed by our economy, and then our culture. He was a scofflaw, thumbing his nose at the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and the very institutions that preserved American exceptionalism.

Lucky for the American people, Obama was both gutless and lazy. He preferred the easy path, leading from behind and empowering our enemies to do the heavy lifting. His choice for Vice President was a corrupt weakling, Joe Biden, who was unlikely to challenge Obama’s plans to implement a quasi-revolutionary takedown of our government and cement his historical legacy.

Unfortunately for the American people, the radical progressive communists were encouraged enough to steal the 2020 election and place a corrupt, egotistical, narcissistic, megalomaniac who fancied himself to be greater than liberal icons Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson. With no boundaries, Biden wreaked havoc on the nation. Criminalizing traditional political practices, jailing his opposition, and attempting to destroy a political challenger. The word went out, and the Democrats responded in lock-step with groupthink.

And, few wanted to acknowledge that it was the Obama acolytes pulling a mentally compromised Joe Biden’s strings as he screamed his way through the 2024 State of the Union—repeating the same themes he used in 2023 and doubling down on paying blackmail to Ukraine to keep them quiet about corruption, bribery, money laundering, looting the American treasury, and interfering in the 2020 Presidential election.

How many Americans noticed that Biden led his State of the Union Address with the war in Ukraine, not the two most pressing problems facing Americans--inflation and immigration?

Bottom line…

Yes, Biden was correct, “Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and democracy been under assault at home as they are today.”

Our enemy is the progressive communist democrats—no doubt about it.

And they must be defeated at the ballot box in 2024. Again, no doubt about it.

Otherwise, we are well and truly screwed as our nation slips into an authoritarian banana republic led by oligarch-backed corrupt, incompetent elites.
