Considering that Jordan is an artificially-created country with a history of committing genocide against Palestinian Arabs and driving them from the region to create modern-day refugees, Jordan’s King Abdullah II should shut the fuck up and go home. Nothing he can say adds to the conversation other than inbred anti-Semitism.
The modern state of Jordan, officially known as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, emerged out of the breakup of the Ottoman Empire after World War I and the subsequent redrawing of borders in the Middle East by colonial powers.
Black September, also known as the Jordanian Civil War, was an armed conflict between Jordan, led by King Hussein, and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), led by Chairman Yasser Arafat. The main phase of the fighting occurred between 16 and 27 September 1970, though certain aspects of the conflict continued until July 17, 1971.
During the Black September conflict in 1970, Jordanian forces indiscriminately bombed Palestinian refugee camps, killing men, women, children, and the infirm. The conflict arose from tensions between the Jordanian government, led by King Hussein, and various Palestinian factions operating within Jordan. The Jordanian government aimed to suppress Palestinian guerrilla activity, which it viewed as a threat to its authority and stability.
The conflict escalated into intense fighting, with Jordanian military forces, including the Royal Jordanian Air Force, conducting airstrikes and artillery bombardments on Palestinian refugee camps, particularly those in and around Amman, the capital of Jordan. These bombings resulted in significant casualties and destruction within the camps.
Since the mid-2000s, the Jordanian government has engaged in a policy of stripping some Palestinians of their Jordanian citizenship, often on apparently arbitrary grounds. According to Human Rights Watch, at least 2,700 Palestinians had their Jordanian citizenship revoked between 2004 and 2008.
Jordan king urges 'lasting' Gaza ceasefire in talks with Biden
Jordan's King Abdullah II appealed for a full ceasefire to end the Gaza war after talks with Joe Biden, striking a discordant note with the US president who is seeking a shorter six-week pause to give Israel time to defeat Hamas.
Speaking at the White House, the two leaders both warned however against any indiscriminate Israeli ground incursion into Gaza's southern city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians are trapped.

"We cannot afford an Israeli attack on Rafah. It is certain to produce another humanitarian catastrophe," said the Jordanian monarch, taking the lectern after Biden had spoken first.

"We cannot stand by and let this continue. We need a lasting ceasefire now -- this war must end," added Abdullah, who has repeatedly pushed for a full truce to end the conflict that started when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7.

The United States has angered some Middle East allies by consistently refusing to call for a full ceasefire, with Washington saying that it backs Israel's drive to defeat Hamas, and calling for shorter pauses with hostage deals instead.
But Biden, who is seeking reelection in November, has started to take a harder line with Israel on civilian casualties, saying last week that Israel's offensive was "over the top."

United States - Ahmad’s family were this week the first Syrian refugees to leave Amman, Jordan to be resettled in the United States as part of a three-month, US “surge” operation to process 10,000 refugees. “The family is the first to depart after having been granted refugee status by US immigration officers during our three-month resettlement surge operation that began on February 1,” said US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells, who met the family at Queen Alia International Airport on April 6. The family boarded a plane bound for Chicago, Illinois, before reaching their final destination in Kansas City, Missouri, yesterday. The surge operation is being supported by IOM’s Resettlement Support Center for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in Amman. [OCS: THE CAPITAL OF JORDAN.] “In order to do our part in meeting President Obama’s directive of 10,000 Syrian refugee arrivals in the US by September 30, we have interviewed and assisted hundreds of refugees daily since February 1,” said Regional Program Manager Jeanette Camarillo. On April 6 IOM opened a new office at Queen Alia International Airport [OCS: IN JORDAN] for the US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) to conduct additional security checks before the refugees depart. “Ahmad’s family has taken many difficult steps since they were forced to flee Syria and live as refugees in Jordan. But now we are delighted to see them take their flight to the US and to embark on a new life in Kansas City,” Camarillo said. Ahmad, with his wife and five children, fled to Jordan after the start of the conflict in Syria. Back home, in Homs, he worked as a blacksmith, construction worker and farmer. He was also a victim of arbitrary arrests, detention, and torture in 2011, before witnessing several relatives injured by indiscriminate shelling. His five-year old son was diagnosed with a hole in his heart and is designated for medical treatment in the US. “Their new life in America will afford Ahmad’s children a safe and secure environment in which to live, medical attention that they require, the education opportunities that they need to grow, and a share in the dignity that they deserve,” said Ambassador Wells at the airport before the family departed. As of March 31, 29,055 refugees from around the world have been resettled in the US under the USRAP. In total, 85 000 refugees should be admitted into the country during the 2016 fiscal year ending in September. |

One of the items under discussion is the resettlement of “our fair share” of Gazan refugees—a total disaster for the Jewish community and America in coming years.
