CONGRESSIONAL CRAZINESS: TED LIEU VOTES FOR DISEASE, PESTILENCE, AND DEATH
Is there no end to the legislative craziness from California politicians in Congress?
In dire times, when we literally do not know who is running the White House and stage-managing our president, our nation is engaged in open conflict on several fronts, we are being financially decimated by inflation and increasing taxation, and we are being invaded by a never-ending horde of illegal aliens who are destroying our housing, jobs, healthcare, education, and social safety nets, progressive communist democrat legislators are wasting their time on nonsensical legislation designed to transform our nation into a third-world existence.
Who, in their right mind, would vote for rodent infestations that increase death and disease?
It appears that the Taiwan-born Ted Lieu, a graduate of the prestigious Stanford University (Computer Science, Political Science), a graduate of Georgetown Law (Juris Doctor), and a retired Air Force JAG Colonel, is bat-shit crazy. This attorney, politician, and retired military officer is the Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, and he prioritizes rats over the health and welfare of American citizens.
Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) introduced the Glue Trap Prohibition Act, a bill to criminalize the possession and use of glue traps to catch rodents and place a national ban on their possession and use.
Glue Trap Prohibition Act of 2024 The Congress finds the following: (1) A glue trap, also known as a glue board or sticky board, is comprised of a layer of cardboard, plastic, or wood coated with a non-drying adhesive or a shallow tray of the adhesive. These traps, used by homeowners, food processors, and pest management companies to control rodent populations, work by ensnaring rodents or other small animals as they cross the device by having their feet and bodies stick to the adhesive. Unable to free themselves, especially as more parts of their bodies become stuck to the trap, the victims typically die from starvation, dehydration, or suffocation after several days. The process is extremely cruel and painful, and it subjects animals, whether the intended target or not, to a slow and inhumane death. [OCS: Boo Effin’ Hoo! Sure beats Hantaviruses, a family of viruses spread mainly by rodents, and can cause varied disease syndromes, including hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), and other problems.] (2) Glue traps may also trap or maim non-target wildlife, including protected species, and household pets who may subsequently require veterinary assistance and examination. [OCS: Protected species are unlikely to be found inside one’s home, and household pets are prohibited from commercial food processors. People are also mindful of their pets and children when selecting and setting traps or employing other rodent control devices.] (3) The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has cautioned against the use of glue traps, as trapped animals produce urine and feces that may harmfully affect human health. [OCS: The same corrupt CDC that mismanaged the panic and lied to the world also recommends against the use of live traps that don’t harm the animal for the same reason.] (4) Countries, cities, agencies, and businesses around the world have increasingly taken steps to limit or ban the sale or use of glue traps over animal welfare, health, and humane concerns. [OCS: Those political entities, individuals, and organizations are likely to be affiliated with the radical communist environmentalists who favor animals over humans and are promoting zero- or no-growth policies to return “Mother Earth” to its natural state with less human impact on nature. Of course, they are all bat-shit crazies and have little or no regard for technology that allows man to adapt to harsh environments.] <Source> |
The “Glue Trap Prohibition Act of 2024” would amend federal pesticide regulations to ban the sale and use of glue traps—and criminalize its users with fines of up to $5,000 per offense for commercial violators and $1,000 fines for individuals. The legislation also allows for criminal penalties—including up to a year’s imprisonment for commercial violators and 30 days imprisonment for private persons who violate the law.
More central planning by communists…
Where does the U.S. Constitution confer any right to the federal government to dictate pest control? The Constitution was written to protect our inalienable rights and curtail the federal government's powers.
Bottom line…
This legislation should be defeated, and Ted Lieu should return to private life, absent a showing of harm to humans.
Shouldn’t Ted Lieu be more concerned about the Communist Chinese invading Taiwan and controlling the world supply of semiconductors that are critical for military, commercial, and medical applications?
Too bad we cannot trap and eliminate the progressive communist democrats in Congress. They would rather cage you than animals.
We are so screwed.
