THE GOP IS SINKING THE GOP

Dead-elephantThe GOP is empowering the Democrat's traditional scare tactics…

While it might be a prudent fiscal response to a serious Social Security and Medicare solvency issue, the announcement of an unpalatable, speculative and painful fix before an election cycle is just plain stupid, especially when voters are swayed more by manipulated emotions and the perception of personal danger than logic.

Another example of the GOP snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

The powerful old meme: pushing granny off the cliff…

In Attack Ad, Paul Ryan Kills Grandma in Wheelchair

In a video from the progressive Agenda Project Action Fund, a suited man perceived to be Paul Ryan takes Granny for a wheelchair ride right off a rocky ledge. Poor little old lady plunges to her death in her pink slippers.

A powerful emotional plea likely to influence a significant number of senior citizens.

Stupidity is a matter of timing…

Republicans push McCarthy to address Social Security, Medicare in the spending fight

The largest faction of House GOP lawmakers is pushing Speaker Kevin McCarthy to use the upcoming government spending fight to shore up Social Security and Medicare.

Social Security and Medicare are on track to go bust within the next decade, meaning people who are now 55 will get hit with significant benefit cuts unless Congress acts. The Republican Study Committee, which is made up of more than 150 House Republicans, believes the time to act is now.

[OCS: The time to act is after you win the election when you have the legislative power to implement change, not before an election when your opposition can characterize your intentions as harmful to a large population segment.]

The Biden administration is not doing anything to fix those problems,” said RSC Chairman Kevin Hern, Oklahoma Republican. “Instead, they want to force every American into government dependency and raise taxes sky-high to pay for it.”

[OCS: The progressive communist democrats are evil but not stupid. They know that there is a time to talk, a time to act, and a time to stay quiet while your enemy commits' political suicide.]

The RSC devised a blueprint to guide House Republicans in the upcoming battle over government battle. The blueprint, which was previewed exclusively to The Washington Times, proposes structural changes to Social Security and Medicare.

Under the blueprint, Medicare would be transformed to include a subsidized, privatized option. A range of changes such as means-testing Social Security are offered to begin bipartisan talks for the popular retirement benefits.

[OCS: Senior citizens, particularly those on fixed incomes, have seen what the Wall Street Wizards in the private sector have done to our economy, their savings, investments, and pensions. These individuals will be reluctant and resistant to stepping off the cliff into the unknown based on speculative promises negated by the fine print that always screws rather than protects you.]

“America is over $31.9 trillion in debt, retirement programs are careening toward bankruptcy, and our economy is teetering on the edge of a fiscal cliff,” said Rep. Ben Cline, a Virginia Republican who leads the RSC budget task force.

Medicare’s board of trustees estimates its hospital insurance trust fund, which covers inpatient hospital stays for individuals 65 and older, is slated to run out of money by 2028. The trust fund is financed by a 1.45% payroll tax that is levied equally on both employers and employees.

Once the trust fund runs dry, Medicare will face a 10% budget shortfall starting in 2029, when patients are likely to see a cut in services for hospital stays and hospice care. The trust fund does not cover other parts of Medicare such as subsidies for prescription drugs and physician visits, which are funded by patient premiums and state governments.

The RSC proposes to consolidate the various portions of Medicare coverage, including prescription drugs, hospital stays and doctor’s visits, into one plan. Seniors would then be given a monthly subsidy, based on income, to purchase either private health insurance or the single Medicare plan.

OCS: WHAT!!! The GOP is moving toward the Democrat dream of a single-payer healthcare system?]

Lawmakers say the shift would incentive private health insurers to slash rates to compete with Medicare to sign up the most seniors.

[OCS: Look familiar? This is the same bullshit used to sell Obamacare, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that neither protected most individuals nor was affordable. The insurers kept their state monopolies and screwed their insured members.]

“We’re offering a path forward to save the critical programs on which millions of seniors depend,” Mr. Cline said.

[OCS: “A path forward” is literally a progressive communist democrat talking point. Ask Hillary Clinton.]

The proposal would also target duplicative subsidies and costs and institute a universal payments policy for medical services. Currently, Medicare pays hospitals a higher rate for services than it does doctor’s offices.

The RSC is also proposing changes to Social Security. The program’s retirement and survivor benefits are on course to run out of money by 2033. The program faces a shortfall as the U.S. population ages and birth rates remain low. If Congress does nothing, only 78% of Social Security benefits will be payable by 2034.

… and the numbers…

Number of Voters as a Share of the Voter Population by Age

Vc-11

How freaking stupid is it to scare or alienate a sizeable aging voter block that transcends race, sex, sexual orientation, and other identity identifiers?

Bottom line…

Don’t needlessly scare the bejesus out of senior citizens and middle-aged individuals planning for retirement.

After the election, there are solutions that can address the looming solvency crisis.

We are so screwed when the GOP lacks competent leadership, relies on consultants and focus groups, and lacks the balls to attack the progressive communist democrats.

STFU and take the fight to the opposition by concentrating on corruption and communism.

NOT EVERYTHING IS FREE SPEECH

Mcclintock

The first sentence alone should see any number of high-ranking government officials held to account for their nefarious activities in conspiring to interfere in a presidential election and actively undermining foreign and domestic policies executed by a lawfully elected President of the United States.

logo_mcclintock4_0Why I Oppose the Censure and Fine of Adam Schiff

The Russia collusion hoax is the single dirtiest political trick in the history of American politics.  We now know that it was entirely concocted by the Hillary Clinton campaign and ruthlessly used by partisans in the FBI to affect the 2016 election and then to undermine the legitimately elected president of the United States.

[OCS: I would not characterize the Russian collusion hoax as a dirty trick, but a concerted conspiracy to violate 18 U.S. Code § 595 - Interference by administrative employees of Federal, State, or Territorial Governments.]

Mr. Schiff’s active role in promoting this hoax is disgraceful and damning.

But that is not the question before us.  The question before us is whether a member of Congress should be censored and fined for speech, even outlandish speech, during the public policy debate.  We have gone much too far down this road and it is time we turned back.

[OCS: Representative Adam Schiff’s actions go far beyond the protections afforded by the Constitution’s Speech or Debate Clause (Article I, Section 6, Clause 1).]

The entire purpose of this Capitol is for the people’s representatives to freely debate the issues that affect the nation’s welfare.  Except for the simple rules that promote civility in that debate, no one should be censored for errors of opinion or fact.  The sole arbiters of these issues should be the constituents of the representatives, through the votes they cast in an election.  The Founders reserved all legislative powers to the Congress because they wanted the issues of the day held up to every conceivable light and for every voice in the nation to be heard through their elected representatives.  Unfettered freedom of speech is central to this process.

We need not fear false statements as long as freedom of speech allows them to be contested by the truth.  How else are we to separate truth from falsehood but to expose one to the other?  How else are we to separate folly from wisdom but to expose one to the other?  How else are we to separate malice from the better angels of our nature but to expose one to the other?

[OCS: Members of the Obama/Biden Administration clearly engaged media propagandists to spread political disinformation, censoring legitimate news stories, and canceling platform access of dissidents, many of whom were speaking truth to power.]

There are only two ways to resolve the differences between us.  There is reason and there is force.  Americans have built a republic of reason and the central organ in that republic is the institution that we are entrusted to preserving.  As Thomas Jefferson said long ago, “error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is free to combat it.”

Our oaths of office obligate us to defend this institution and to preserve the freedom to challenge each other in open debateThe elements in this resolution rely on coercion to punish egregious errors of opinion and fact.  If we continue down this road, we will destroy this institution and the freedom of debate that is the most important tool we have to guide our way in an uncertain world.

[OCS: No! Your oath of office demands you support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. This does not mean protecting a corrupt institution or corrupt members within that institution. It means acting in a fair, impartial, and ethical manner. It means calling out lies, defamation, libel, and slander wherever it is found.]

We have already done so on too many occasions, and it needs to stop.

My opposition to this resolution in no way condones so many of Mr. Schiff’s statements and representations in this matter.  On the contrary, I condemn them strongly.  It is precisely because of the freedom of Congress -- and indeed of every American -- to debate without fear of persecution or punishment, that his veracity and judgment can be weighed in the balance and found wanting.  There is no greater disgrace than that.  We can only disgrace ourselves by denying to Mr. Schiff the freedom of speech and debate that protect us from the damage such people as he can do.

[OCS: It is time to stop playing by rules the opposition clearly does not respect. The time to take the fight to our ideological enemies is upon us.]

What’s wrong with the opposition to censuring Adam Schiff?

Adam Schiff’s activities appear to go beyond the free speech and freedom from prosecution afforded by the Speech or Debate Clause to the realm of a conspiracy to interfere with a presidential election and participating in an attempt to bring about regime change by subverting the Executive Branch President of the United States. These are not “egregious errors of opinion and fact” but treasonous activities involving an attempt at regime change by attacking a lawfully elected president.

While the Speech or Debate Clause provides broad protections for legislative activities, it is not absolute and does not protect against the commission of high crimes and misdemeanors.

  1. Handling of the Trump-Russia investigation: Schiff's involvement in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election was neither impartial nor objective -- with hyper-partisan zeal and exaggerated or misrepresented evidence to support his position, Schiff often made unsubstantiated claims about collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Undoubtedly, the Schiff memo on FISA matters was riddled with proven lies and false statements. He did not grant the minority members of the Committee full access to the documentation gathered by the majority. He prevented minority members from revealing alternative scenarios and information due to the inappropriate classification of materials.

  2. Impeachment Manager: As the lead impeachment manager during the impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump in 2019 and 2020, he led an unfair and hyper-partisan impeachment process, making misleading statements and selectively presenting evidence during the House impeachment hearings. Schiff's role in orchestrating the initial whistleblower complaint has never been thoroughly investigated. He lied about his staff’s involvement with the whistleblower, drafting the initial complaint, and the relaxation of complaint standards that allowed third-party hearsay testimony instead of first-hand knowledge. It can be demonstrated that Schiff made false statements regarding his knowledge of contacts between his staff and the whistleblower who raised concerns about Trump's phone call with the President of Ukraine.

  3. Disclosure of privileged information: There is little doubt that Schiff leaked confidential or classified information related to the Russia investigation or impeachment proceedings to the media to shape public perception. The Speech and Debate Clause does not protect against the unauthorized disclosure of privileged or classified information.

  4. Partisan obstruction and grandstanding: Schiff used his time in committee hearings to make inflammatory statements and obstructed minority members from conducting an impartial or meaningful investigation.

  5. Defamation or slander: While Schiff has broad freedom of speech on the House floor, making false statements about individuals with malicious intent or knowingly spreading defamatory information may exceed the Speech or Debate Clause protections.

  6. Actions unrelated to legislative functions: Schiff engaged in activities and made statements that were not directly connected to his official duties as a legislator and may be deemed to have exceeded the protections of the Speech or Debate Clause, especially in surreptitiously obtaining personal records of minority Committee members or other non-involved individuals.

  7. Criminal activities: The Speech or Debate Clause does not shield members of Congress from criminal prosecution for acts that are illegal or unrelated to their legislative responsibilities. A member committing a crime can still be subject to legal consequences. Suppose Schiff knew about credible allegations of Bribery lodged against Joe Biden and participated in a cover-up or political distraction effort. In that case, he is clearly guilty of conspiring to interfere with a presidential election.

Bottom line…

Representative Tom McClintock is an example of what is wrong with Congress as the members on both sides of the aisle refuse to hold each other accountable for what appears to be treasonous activities and a silent coup.

I believe that Representative Adam Schiff acted inappropriately and unlawfully and that his actions rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors for which he deserves to be expelled from Congress, prosecuted as a criminal, disbarred, and stripped of all government perks, privileges, and pensions. All money collected by, or on behalf of, Schiff should be surrendered to the U.S. Treasury as compensation for costs incurred by Schiff’s Committees.

He is a slimeball that needs to be primaried and prosecuted.

As for the House Resolution, the fine must be omitted, and the resolution reintroduced. The fine is inappropriate because it could be used to drain opposition campaign war chests and further interfere with elections.

LIAR, LEAKER ADAM SCHIFF BEATS CENSURE THANKS TO 20 REPUBLICANS

Dead-elephantAs I have said on many occasions… there are progressive communist democrats in the Republican Party but no Republicans in the Democrat Party.

Resolution to Censure Adam Schiff Killed After 20 Republicans Joined Democrats

A House resolution to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was effectively killed after 20 House Republicans voted for a motion to table it. Four Republicans did not vote, and two voted “present.”

VoteYeas-1

Not so surprising is the Tom McClintock vote, another articulate bullshit artist who talks conservative but rarely produces anything but self-serving explainers like Darryl Issa and Trey Gowdy. McClintock is a professional politician/grifter who used his parent's home in Thousand Oaks, California, as his official residence while he and his family lived in Northern California. He is best known for his controversy over taking Indian gaming money and supporting casinos.

Bottom line…

Without an unassailable margin and the balls to act, we are screwed in 2024. Most RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) will likely have a fundraising and name recognition advantage and are unlikely to be primaried.

ADAM SCHIFF: WHAT THEY ARE MISSING?

Representative Luna Files Privileged Resolution to Censure, Condemn, and Fine Representative Adam Schiff...

118th CONGRESS -- 1st Session

H. RES. 437

Censuring and condemning Adam Schiff, Representative of California’s 30th Congressional District.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

May 23, 2023

Mrs. Luna submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Ethics

RESOLUTION

Censuring and condemning Adam Schiff, Representative of California’s 30th Congressional District.

Whereas the allegation that President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 Presidential election has been revealed as false by numerous in-depth investigations, including the recent report by Special Counsel John Durham, which documents how the conspiracy theory was invented, funded, and spread by President’s Trump’s political rivals;

Whereas Representative Adam Schiff, who served as ranking minority member and then Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives (HPSCI), occupied positions of extreme trust, affording him access to sensitive intelligence unavailable to most Members of Congress;

Whereas for years Representative Schiff abused this trust by citing evidence of collusion that—as is clear from reports by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, and Special Counsel Durham—does not exist;

Whereas by repeatedly telling these falsehoods, Representative Schiff purposely deceived his Committee, Congress, and the American people;

Whereas Representative Schiff lent credibility to the Steele dossier—a collection of debunked collusion accusations funded by President Trump’s political rivals—by reading false Steele allegations into the Congressional Record at a HPSCI hearing on March 20, 2017;

Whereas, once again abusing his privileged access to classified information, Representative Schiff composed a false memo justifying the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application on Trump associate Carter Page, which Inspector General Horowitz later found was riddled with 17 major mistakes and omissions, provoking FISA Court Presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer to state unequivocally that the Federal Bureau of Investigation “mislead the FISC”;

Whereas by publicly smearing Carter Page as a Russian collaborator and justifying spurious investigations of him, Representative Schiff contributed to the gross violation of a United States citizen’s civil liberties, thereby committing the very abuses HPSCI is tasked with identifying and thwarting;

Whereas, as HPSCI ranking minority member and Chairman, Representative Schiff behaved dishonestly and dishonorably on many other occasions, including by falsely denying that his staff coordinated with a whistleblower to launch the first impeachment of President Trump;

Whereas, as part of his impeachment efforts, during an HPSCI hearing on September 26, 2019, Representative Schiff recited a false, concocted rendition of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky;

Whereas Representative Schiff exploited his positions on HPSCI to encourage and excuse abusive intelligence investigations of Americans for political purposes;

Whereas Representative Schiff used his position and access to sensitive information to instigate a fraudulently based investigation, which he then used to amass political gain and fundraising dollars; and

Whereas the American taxpayers paid $32 million to fund the investigation into collusion that was launched as a result of Rep. Schiff’s lies, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That—

(1) the House of Representatives censures and condemns Adam Schiff, Representative of California’s 30th Congressional District, for conduct that misleads the American people in a way that is not befitting an elected Member of the House of Representatives;

(2) Representative Adam Schiff will forthwith present himself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure;

(3) Representative Adam Schiff will be censured with the public reading of this resolution by the Speaker; and

(4) Representative Adam Schiff be, and is hereby, fined in the amount of $16,000,000.

What are they missing…

While Adam Schiff and his fellow partisan committee members investigated, prosecuted, and persecuted Donald J. Trump, he ignored:

  • Hillary Clinton’s breach of national security.
  • Hillary Clinton’s involvement with the Benghazi arms dealing.
  • Hillary Clinton’s involvement with Uranium One and the payments to the Clinton Foundation.
  • Hillary Clinton’s dirty tricks involving federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
  • Compromise of the DNC computer by foreign nationals and Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s laptop.
  • Hunter Biden’s laptop.
  • Allegations of bribery and influence peddling concerning the Bidens.

And, Schiff shamelessly continues fundraising…

Schiff-senateStephen —

MAGA Republican Anna Paulina Luna of Florida just announced on the House floor that the vote to censure and fine me $16 million will happen within the next two days with GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s personal support.

INSERT-1

While the national media and political pundits focus their attention today on disgraced, twice-impeached ex-president Donald Trump’s arraignment in downtown Miami on 37 federal counts returned by the grand jury, MAGA Republicans are out for revenge against me personally.

Stephen, this vote to censure me — and even fine me $16 MILLION — could actually pass with a GOP majority.

The authors of the Big Lie are attacking me for telling the truth, and it’s blatant political retaliation for my efforts to hold Trump accountable for his abuses of power. For leading his first impeachment and Senate trial. For serving on the January 6th Committee to investigate the insurrection he incited on our Capitol. They believe I am effective — too effective — and so they’re trying to silence me.

We have to send Trump’s enablers in Congress a message loud and clear — no matter what attacks they throw at us, we will always fight back to uphold the rule of law and defend our democracy.

If you’re with me, I’m urgently asking you to rush a contribution of $10 or whatever you can spare before midnight to help my campaign fight back against these attacks.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

As-d

This isn’t just an attack on me. It’s an attack on the very premise of constitutional oversight and accountability. And we have to fight back with everything we’ve got.

Thanks for standing with me at this critical moment.

— Adam

AS-TRA

The creation and purpose of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence…

The United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) is a committee of the United States House of Representatives. Created in 1977, HPSCI is charged with oversight of the United States Intelligence Community—which includes the intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the following eighteen elements of the U.S. Government—and the Military Intelligence Program (MIP).

Here are eighteen elements of the U.S. Government, including various branches, agencies, and departments, as well as the Military Intelligence Program:

  • Executive Branch
  • Legislative Branch
  • Judicial Branch
  • President of the United States
  • Vice President of the United States
  • Department of State
  • Department of Defense
  • Department of Justice / Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • Department of the Treasury
  • Department of Homeland Security
  • Department of Agriculture
  • Department of Commerce
  • Department of Labor
  • Department of Health and Human Services
  • Department of Housing and Urban Development
  • Department of Transportation
  • Department of Energy
  • Department of Education

Military Intelligence Program (MIP) refers to the intelligence activities conducted by various military branches in the United States. It is not an independent element of the U.S. Government but is part of the broader intelligence apparatus. The MIP encompasses multiple agencies and organizations responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information for military purposes. Some of the notable components within the Military Intelligence Program include:

  • Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
  • National Security Agency (NSA)
  • Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
  • National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
  • National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
  • Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM)
  • Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)
  • Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
  • Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA)

Bottom line…

Adam Schiff is guilty of dereliction of duty as well as being a co-conspirator in an effort to interfere in a presidential election and various criminal acts involving a cover-up of criminal wrongdoing. He deserves a prison sentence and the loss of his law license, not an expulsion from Congress.

Just like the DOJ/FBI's attempt to protect Hillary Clinton and the disclosure of emails that would implicate her in a pay-for-play bribery scheme involving foreign entities donating to the Clinton Foundation, it is my belief that the DOJ/FBI are doing the very same thing to protect Joe Biden. Both involve doing everything in their power to cripple a Trump candidacy or to render his administration impotent.

We are so screwed.

THE GOP IS AT WAR WITH ITSELF AS THE GOP SITS IDLY BY

Rvr

I find it despicable that Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and other top GOP lawmakers in the Senate have not rushed to defend Trump following the 37-count indictment that he mishandled classified documents.

Not Trump the man, not Trump the Candidate. But Trump, the persecuted American facing the weight of the government, directed by a corrupt White House regime, to manipulate electoral politics. Trump, the American who has witnessed the Department of Justice overlook similar and more serious crimes against Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joseph Biden, and other high-ranking Democrats.

Something that should be of grave concern to those who have sworn to uphold the Constitution and sit idly by while our system of justice and the rule of law is destroyed.

Senate Minority Leader McConnell, a creature of the establishment state, avoids mentioning Trump’s name in public conversations and has "reportedly told his caucus the 76-year-old is a flawed candidate who will drag down GOP candidates if he is the party’s White House nominee." Other GOP leaders — Republican Senate Whip John Thune (R-SD) and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) — are establishment players who do not want to see Trump as the party’s 2024 presidential nominee.

A disgruntled Senator, Mitt Romney (R-UT), who twice voted to impeach Donald Trump, issued a statement proclaiming…

Like all Americans, Mr. Trump is entitled to the presumption of innocence. The government has the burden of proving its charges beyond a reasonable doubt and securing a unanimous verdict by a South Florida jury.

By all appearances, the Justice Department and special counsel have exercised due care, affording Mr. Trump the time and opportunity to avoid charges that would not generally have been afforded to others.

Mr. Trump brought these charges upon himself by not only taking classified documents, but by refusing to simply return them when given numerous opportunities to do so.

These allegations are serious and if proven, would be consistent with his other actions offensive to the national interest, such as withholding defensive weapons from Ukraine for political reasons and failing to defend the Capitol from violent attack and insurrection. <Source>

It appears that these establishment assholes are willing to destroy the nation and the GOP if for no other reason than to retain their own political power, prestige, perks, and profits.

The party at war with itself…

In recent times, it has become increasingly evident that GOP is facing a different kind of battle—a battle within its own caucus, with deep divisions that have emerged across various social, political, and cultural fault lines between the lazy and mostly corrupt establishment wing and the more idealistic conservative wing.

There is no doubt that liberals and conservatives view the world differently, leading to political polarization and a widening ideological gap between fundamental core values, resulting in bitter battles and gridlock. A stark contrast in policy preferences and values that has led to a toxic party environment where compromise and cooperation often seem impossible.

  1. Trumpism vs. Traditional Conservatism: One of the primary sources of internal conflict within the GOP is the clash between Trumpism, a populist strain within the party, and traditional conservatism. This divide has led to debates over issues such as trade, immigration, foreign policy, and the role of government.

  2. Intraparty Fractures: The GOP is a broad coalition including fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, libertarians, and moderates. These factions often have different policy priorities and approaches, leading to fractures within the party. Disagreements on matters like healthcare, taxation, climate change, and social issues have fueled these divisions, making it challenging to establish a cohesive party platform.

  3. Leadership Struggles: Leadership battles have intensified the internal strife within the GOP. Different factions within the party have vied for control and influence, resulting in clashes over leadership positions and strategies. This struggle for political power has sidetracked the party's direction, messaging, and ability to unite behind a common agenda.

  4. Identity Crisis: The GOP also faces an identity crisis as it seeks to define its future trajectory. How can today’s GOP appeal to a changing electorate, specifically addressing demographics, cultural shifts, and evolving societal norms? Fights beyond the traditional debates on the size of government, lower taxes, and fewer regulations have led to primarily futile discussions about inclusivity, outreach to minority communities, and the party's stance on issues like race, gender, social justice, and in particular, the conditions under which abortions are acceptable – even though abortion is an issue best left to the states.

The party appears blind to reality…

Undoubtedly, there was significant electoral fraud within the critical battleground states. Unfortunately, no court appears to be able to affect the outcome, as elections are purely a political matter that Congress must handle. This leads to the ill-investigated issues surrounding the Congressional acceptance of State Certifications on January 6th.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Democrat leadership set the stage to disrupt the presentation of alternate slates of electors and a vigorous public debate over state certifications. Documentary evidence and sworn testimony prove that President Trump offered protection for the Capitol complex, which Democrats denied. The rest was an artificial creation of an alleged “insurrection” that roiled the nation. When viewed in the light of day, it is an indictment of the progressive communist democrats willing to lie under oath about the January 6 riots and the presence of paid, trained agitators among the crowd. This highlights the struggle between the GOP’s commitment to democratic norms and the loyalty due to the President of the United States.

Bottom line…

"The wise man seeks not the swift victory, but the sure one. He wins the war and fears not the battles. He uses all things to his advantage." -- Sun Tzu

The GOP finds itself embroiled in a battle for its soul as deep divisions continue to erode the fabric of its caucus.

Can the GOP rise to the clear and present danger facing America? Can it mount a credible campaign? Can it win an election, or will it, once again, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with its internal battles and foolishness?

Only by addressing its internal conflicts can the Republican Party navigate the challenges ahead and shape its role in American politics.

Every day the GOP and Donald Trump is talking about Trump and his legal woes -- is a day they are NOT talking about Joe Biden and his cadre of fellow criminals and cover up artists.

We are so screwed.

ANOTHER FALSE FLAG OPERATION IN MIAMI?

Police

Considering the degree of weaponization of the Department of Justice and the FBI, is it likely that the progressive communist democrat agitators, provocateurs, and shock troops will stage an “insurrection” in Miami to further distract from the ongoing Joe Biden bribery scandal which saw him sell out the American people to hostile foreign powers in Communist China, Ukraine, Iran, and elsewhere?

Wolf Blitzer sets the narrative on CNN…

“FBI special agents across the country are actively looking for possible domestic terror threats related to Trump’s upcoming court appearance in Florida. Sources say some pro-Trump groups are already making plans to travel to Miami and support the former President as he faces these federal charges in the classified documents case.”

FBI special agents across the country assigned to domestic terrorism squads are actively working to identify any possible threats, four law enforcement sources told CNN, following Trump’s second indictment.

So far, the FBI is aware of various groups like the Proud Boys discussing traveling to South Florida to publicly show support for Trump, sources said, but there is currently no indication of any specific and credible threat. <Source>

Look for the Ray Epps-type agitators, members of black lives matter, Antifa, and other government-related individuals.

The threat to Trump is increasing by the minute…

Secret Service will not seek ‘special accommodations’ for Trump’s Miami court appearance.

The Secret Service will not seek “special accommodations” ahead of former President Donald Trump’s arraignment in a Miami federal courthouse on charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents. Trump is facing a presidential-level threat with a diminished security contingent.

And, of course, Trump can’t keep his mouth shut as he attempts to muster large crowds…

Bottom line…

The progressive communist democrat powder keg is set; the fuse is waiting to be lit. Will the government and radical agitators provide the matches?

DHS EMBRACES COMMUNIST CHINA CONTROL MECHANISM

New-order

There should be little or no doubt that our government has become tyrannical, infiltrated by communists, and governed by progressive communist democrats whose goal is to achieve perpetual and enduring political power over America and Americans.

To this end, the progressive communist democrats (PCDs) have compromised and weaponized the nation’s premier intelligence and law enforcement agencies in an attack to nullify the U.S. Constitution and our constitutionally protected inalienable rights. The PCDs have embraced many of the surveillance and control mechanisms found in Communist China. The goal is to surveil the population, censor speech that does not comport with the regime’s narrative, cancel dissident voices, and build a mechanism that will seek to punish those who do not comply with the regime’s directives.

Enter Project Night Fury…

Project Night Fury began with a vision to create a sophisticated AI-based analytics tool to monitor social media and other open-source platforms that can comprehend human intentions, emotions, and more explicit indications that would allow the government to detect and investigate potential terrorist threats to the regime. Of course, the government reserved the right to expand its uses at a later date.

It appeared on the public’s radar on March 7, 2022, after being mentioned in a report (OIG-22-30) by the Department of Homeland Defense’s Office of the Inspector General…

Oig-headerIn March 2020, DHS OIG received allegations of potential privacy violations relating to project Night Fury, conducted by OSE [Office of Science and Engineering], to research and develop open source data analytics tools. For this $443,000 project, S&T [Science and Technology Directorate] contracted specific tasks to a university [University of Alabama at Birmingham] to collect social media data on behalf of S&T.

OSE sought to test and develop analytic capabilities to identify potential terrorism risks on publicly available social media and other open source platforms. The complainant stated the project began in September 2018 and specifically included data collection of millions of social media records, including posts, videos, and photos. Also, the complainant notified OIG of concerns that S&T may not have ensured effective programmatic oversight, employee accountability, Federal records management, contract documentation, and information security for this specific project.

During our review of this allegation, we identified privacy safeguards that should have been in place for this project, including a Checklist for Sensitive Information and a PTA. We reviewed project Night Fury and determined it did have a completed checklist and a PTA that was currently under review by the DHS Privacy Office. <Source>

On March 18, 2022, the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law, a nonprofit law and public policy institute named after Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan Jr., followed up with a Freedom of Information Act Request for “documents including contracts, communications, research products, and training and compliance materials relating to Project Night Fury.”

“DHS produced two contracts with the University of Alabama at Birmingham: an initial contract dated September 21, 2018, and an extension from August 27, 2019, through December 23, 2021. Though the cost is redacted, the government’s public contracting website reveals that they totaled almost $790,000. DHS also produced three versions of the privacy threshold analysis for the project, though none is dated, and it is unclear which is the final version. DHS staff conduct privacy threshold analyses to determine how a new or expanded program or system could impact privacy.”

“The Contractor shall develop these attributes to create a methodology for developing a ranking, or ‘Risk Score,’ associated with the identified accounts. The Contractor shall develop tools to automate the identification process, documenting performance measures and metrics related to automating the identification process,” one of the documents reads. <Source>

Dhs-tpa
The “Risk Score”

“Night Fury’s tasks fall into three main categories. The first involved identifying and tracking “terrorist propaganda” and “pro-terrorist” accounts on Facebook, Twitter, online forums, and “lesser social media communities” like Telegram and VK (Russia’s main social media platform) based on undefined criteria. The University of Alabama at Birmingham and DHS planned to work together to “identify relevant attributes” that would identify Facebook accounts and groups as being “pro-terrorist” by ranking them or assigning them a “Risk Score.” The university also agreed to develop methods to decide whether a Twitter account that was “linked to a confirmed pro-terrorist social media account” should itself be considered pro-terrorist, using criteria such as “keyword set comparisons.” These tasks would be completely automated, with the evident goal of minimizing any human intervention — despite research demonstrating the limitations of algorithmic analysis of social media content. Over the course of the project, the university would compile a list of accounts it identified on Facebook and Twitter, along with their postings and other related data, and provide the data to DHS. The contracts also directed the university to build models to “identify key influencers of pro-terrorist thought” whose messages spread across different forums and social media platforms.” <Source>

Dangers…

“These directives from DHS raise a host of concerns. While one of the University of Alabama’s main tasks was to identify “pro-terrorist” accounts, the contract does not define the term, vesting both the university and DHS with significant discretion in identifying the attributes that would justify the designation. There are also no apparent parameters for what would “link” someone to such a pro-terrorist account. Linked accounts could potentially include people who are far removed from the account in question or those whose interactions were limited to a single instance, such as “liking” a Facebook post or retweeting a tweet. The contract also fails to explain or define what a “risk score” would measure — whether the risk of being a terrorist, being pro-terrorist, committing a violent act, or something else — nor does it explain how automated social media analysis would be an appropriate tool to make that determination.”

Under the system contemplated by Project Night Fury, it appears that social media users could be labeled as threats in the absence of any evidence of criminal activity or planning, or based on a misinterpretation of innocuous behavior. Given the decades-long history of discriminatory surveillance by DHS and other government agencies, including on social media, there is an acute risk that the characteristics deemed relevant would disproportionately sweep in members of minority communities. <Source>

The Communist China Model…

Under the Chinese Communist Party's rule, a social scoring system -- the Social Credit System -- has been implemented. While the Chinese commies argue that it promotes social harmony and accountability, there are significant concerns regarding individual freedoms, privacy, and the potential abuse of power as your travel, purchasing power, and government approvals are based on your score.

  • Loss of Privacy and Surveillance: The social scoring system in China relies heavily on mass surveillance and data collection through extensive monitoring of citizens' activities, including online behavior, financial transactions, and even social interactions.

  • Restriction of Individual Freedoms: Citizens with low social scores may face significant consequences, including limitations on travel, reduced job prospects, restricted access to education and healthcare, and even public shaming. Citizens are pressured to conform to government-defined standards of behavior and ideology to maintain a favorable score.

  • Lack of Transparency and Due Process: The criteria and algorithms used to calculate social scores remain opaque, making it difficult for citizens to understand how their scores are determined or how to improve them. One of the most significant dangers of a social scoring system is the lack of transparency and due process.

  • Discrimination and Social Exclusion: The system's subjective nature and potential bias can lead to unfair treatment, including ostracization, based on factors such as political beliefs, religion, or associations.

  • Chilling Effect on Free Expression and Dissent: Fear of negative repercussions encourages self-censorship, inhibiting open dialogue and stifling critical thinking and innovation.

  • Government Abuse: With the social scoring system, the government can control and manipulate individuals, suppressing dissent and maintaining social and political conformity. This centralized control undermines democratic principles and poses a threat to individual liberties.

Bottom line…

The dangers of an automated risk-scoring system cannot be understated, and its threat to individual freedoms, privacy, and democracy cannot be ignored, especially when one considers using that tool against a large data repository such as the one the NSA has created by collecting all telephone, internet, and communications traffic for years, encrypted or not. By analyzing your data over time, probable cause and "intent" can be shown to the Court to justify almost any action the government desires to take against an individual.

Every government surveillance system appears justified, often without critical examination and analysis, based on harm to children, terrorism, the war on drugs, or foreign election interference. Unfortunately, these programs and sophisticated tools are turned against American citizens on behalf of corrupt political actors in the governing regime or the permanent deep-state bureaucracy.

We face an unprecedented threat while governed by a demonstrably corrupt cadre of progressive communist democrats.

We are so screwed.

APPROACHING PEAK INSANITY

What can I say as we approach peak insanity…

Hillary-1 BIDEN-1 Trump-1

Craziness...

The fact is that President Joe Biden is mentally and physically incapacitated and unable to sustain a presidential-level campaign against former President Donald Trump and that the progressive communist democrats have mobilized their media propagandists, but also the Obama acolytes in the federal government, notably the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to distract the public from the real issue -- Biden's criminally corrupt behavior aided and abetted by former President Barack Obama.

Not only does Joe Biden face a credible allegation of selling his influence to a foreign power, but those allegations are backed with documentary (financial institution suspicious activity reports, numerous legal entities with no purpose or actual business) evidence and sworn testimony -- including Biden's recorded confession before a large audience of witnesses, but the Attorney General and others refuse to take immediate action.

The response to the threat of the progressive communist democrats to charge Trump with the same behavior exhibited by Biden, Hillary Clinton, and others: deception, distraction, and damage control.

Bottom line...

We are so screwed -- and it appears to be getting worse before it gets better.
