LOOKS LIKE THE WHITE HOUSE IS CELEBRATING KWANZA: KOMMUNIST KRISTMAS EARLY

With Jill Biden in charge, it appears that some of the Obama acolytes may have persuaded her to turn the White House Christmas celebration into an intersectional freak show…

Michelle Dorrance, the founder and artistic director of Dorrance Dance received a BA from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she created a major that dealt with concepts of American race in relationship to democracy in American culture, themes she explores in her current choreography.

At least the decorating crew got something right...

Yes, it's all bout racializing Christmas...

why antiracism work is important to me -- a note from michelle dorrance

In my generation, to be a tap dancer is to be an ambassador to the world for the unsung history of a Black art form. Taught, encouraged, and inspired by our elders to be more than dancer/musician-performers, my generation strives to be educators, creators, innovators, preservationists, and historians. It is our job to tell the history of tap dance as a celebration of Black culture and also the never-ending struggle against systemic racism and white supremacy in this country - the origin story of appropriation in American culture.

In 2020, I am a part of the way this story plays out. I am a white tap dancer with Black cultural ancestors in a society that privileges white people and whiteness. I am easy for white audiences wanting to access and experience elements of Black culture to swallow. My whiteness is the reason you may have heard of me before two of my inspirations, Ayodele Casel and Dormeshia, not to mention the legendary inspiration, elder, and griot, Dianne Walker. It is imperative for me, and those who look like me, to acknowledge that. It is imperative for us to fight against racist norms that have defined American culture since its very origin. If we do not do enough, this story will not change.

I am incredibly blessed to be of my generation of tap dancers and to have learned from so many of our elders, the last hoofers of the jazz era, before they passed away. I’m also blessed to know our living masters of tap dance, some of the most extraordinary tap dancers that have ever lived. And not only am I blessed, I am privileged. It was my privilege to have had the support of my family and the access to pursue a unique and powerful interdisciplinary college education at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU. I had the tremendous privilege to deeply pursue Black history in America along with my passion for revolutionary thought. It was my privilege to investigate American “democratic” thought, learn the unconscionable history of American racial ideology, be inspired by Black social/political movements, delve into American literature and European philosophy, and then, very profoundly, to be invited by my advisor, Laurin Raiken to engage with his work on art and social change. This was the same year we marched in the streets for justice for Amadou Diallo and against police brutality. I was 19. Amadou Diallo was 23. At the time, I believed that outside of a full-scale revolution, the only way I could make an impact was as a civil rights lawyer, a full-time activist or both- but the experience of uniting my passions changed that, empowered my growth as an artist, and encouraged my understanding of tap dance as both a tradition born of subversion/revolution/protest and a powerful vehicle for social and political change. My journey with this work began twenty years ago, and twenty years later, I have not done enough.

It is from this place of white privilege that I invite you to join me in lifelong antiracism work. Understanding how deeply embedded white supremacy, racism, and colonialism is in our culture is paramount to understanding our role (as white people) in perpetuating it, and embracing our job to dismantle it. That understanding is incredibly important to me as a human being and to me as a tap dancer. The resources here are a place to start. <Source>

Sounds like a full-blown communist revolutionary.

Bottom line…

The White House freak show continues. Definitely not my America.

We are so screwed.

THE NRA IS MAKING A BIG MISTAKE

Aclu

One of the very first rules of commonsense is never, never hand your enemy a loaded weapon…

So why is the National Rifle Association collaborating with the gun-grabbers at the ACLU (American Communist Lawyers Union) to directly represent the National Rifle Association (NRA) before the United States Supreme Court?

The case…

The NRA in 2018 brought a lawsuit against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Maria Vullo, and the New York Department of Financial Services alleging that the parties abused their regulatory power to violate the NRA’s First Amendment rights.

At the behest of prominent anti-gun proponent, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, Maria Vullo, the former superintendent of the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS), issued guidance to financial institutions regulated by her department, including banks, insurers, and credit card companies, to consider their “reputational risks” when doing business with the NRA. Moreover, Vullo threatened to exercise the Department’s extensive regulatory power against entities that fail to sever ties with the NRA.

What the ACLU said…

We don’t support the NRA's mission or its viewpoints on gun rights, and we don’t agree with their goals, strategies, or tactics. But we both know that government officials can't punish organizations because they disapprove of their views.

If the Supreme Court doesn’t intervene, it will create a dangerous playbook for state regulatory agencies across the country to blacklist or punish any viewpoint-based organizations — from abortion rights groups to environmental groups or even ACLU affiliates.

The questions at the core of this case are about the First Amendment and the principled defense of civil liberties for all, including those with whom we disagree on the Second Amendment. We won’t let the rights of organizations to engage in political advocacy be trampled. <Source>

Amazing how many cases abridging the freedom of American citizens they didn’t take, especially those against progressive communist democrats.

Many ACLU affiliates do not agree with their representation of the NRA…

NYCLU STATEMENT ON ACLU REPRESENTATION OF THE NRA AT THE SUPREME COURT

In response to reporting that the national office of the ACLU has decided to directly represent the National Rifle Association (NRA) before the United States Supreme Court in National Rifle Association v. Vullo, the New York Civil Liberties Union issued the following statement from Executive Director Donna Lieberman:

“The NYCLU strongly disagrees with the ACLU’s decision to directly represent and therefore provide direct support to the NRA. We will not be participating in this case even though it comes out of New York. The NYCLU remains committed to defending the speech rights of those whose messages we abhor, but nothing in this case requires direct representation of the NRA: The important First Amendment issue in the case is well-established, the NRA is one of the most powerful organizations in the country and has sophisticated counsel, and representing the NRA directly risks enormous harm to the clients and communities the ACLU and NYCLU work with and serve.

“The NRA is a chief driver of the gun violence problem devastating communities throughout the country. This violence is an existential threat to racial justice and the exercise of our democracy, two of the ACLU and NYCLU’s core values. Armed intimidation of voters, election officials, and peaceful protestors by vigilantes is now normalized, particularly threatening people of color. The NYCLU has spent years building deep partnerships with communities and advocates, including young people and people of color, who face the greatest threat of gun violence and are working to end it.

“The NRA is among the most powerful advocacy organizations in the country, with resources to secure the nation’s finest lawyers. It does not need the ACLU to volunteer for that job. We remain a proud affiliate of the ACLU, but in this moment the NYCLU respectfully dissents.” <Source: ACLU>

The case benefits the ACLU…

  1. Taking on a controversial case allows the ACLU to burnish its undeserved reputation of defending unpopular cases in the name of justice. It is ludicrous when you consider all of the ACLU assaults on our freedoms by supporting environmental causes—many settled by consent decree by tainted collaborating parties to bring about unconstitutional rules and regulations with the force of law after bypassing the Congressional law-making process.

  2. By cashing in on a big payday, should the NRA prevail and be awarded attorney’s fees and damages. While we can see the filed lawsuit, the actual ACLU engagement letter is not available to NRA members or members of the public.

  3. It might provide access to internal NRA documents and other information useful to the ACLU in other cases, even if it is inadmissible in Court under an attorney-client privilege.

  4. The progressive communist democrats see a clear and present danger from Donald Trump should he be elected and the validity of Vullo allows him to use regulatory agencies to “retaliate against his opponents.” By defeating Vullo, the ACLU would now be able to return to their normal activities of trying to suppress conservatives with which they disagree.

Bottom line…

Once again, the membership of the NRA under the direction of the corrupt lobbyist Wayne LaPierre is getting screwed.
