According to the Department of Justice, the greatest threat to America is domestic white supremacists.

Top law enforcement officials say the biggest domestic terror threat comes from white supremacists.

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas testified to senators about the threat of domestic terrorism and extremism, which they both said is often racially or ethically motivated.

“Combating domestic violent extremism and domestic terrorism has long been a core part of the Justice Department’s mission. Immediately upon its founding more than 150 years ago, the department pursued white supremacists who had sought to deny newly freed slaves their rights under the Constitution, including the right to vote. Unfortunately, the horror of domestic violent extremism is still with us.

Indeed, the F.B.I. assessed that 2019 was the deadliest year for violent domestic extremism since 1995. In March of this year, the intelligence community, in a report drafted by D.H.S., the F.B.I. and the National Counterterrorism Center, under the auspices of the Director of National Intelligence, assessed that domestic violent extremists pose a elevated threat in 2021.

And in the F.B.I.’s view, the top domestic violent extremist threat we face comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race.”

“The terrorism-related threats we face as a nation have significantly evolved since the department’s creation in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The threat landscape is now more complex, more dynamic and more diversified.

Today, racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists are the most likely to conduct mass casualty attacks against civilians and anti-government or anti anti-authority violent extremists, specifically militia violent extremists, are the most likely to target law enforcement, government personnel and government facilities.

Man takes hostages at synagogue, demands prisoner be freed

COLLEYVILLE, Texas (AP) — A man took hostages Saturday during services at a Texas synagogue where he could be heard ranting in a livestream and demanding the release of a Pakistani neuroscientist who was convicted of trying to kill U.S. Army officers in Afghanistan.

At least four hostages were initially believed to be inside the synagogue, according to three law enforcement officials who were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity. The synagogue’s rabbi was believed to be among the hostages, one of the officials said. One of the officials said the man claimed to be armed but authorities had not confirmed whether he is.

The Colleyville Police Department said one hostage was released uninjured shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. The man was expected to be reunited with his family and did not require medical attention.

Authorities are still trying to discern a precise motive for the attack. The hostage-taker was heard demanding the release of Aafia Siddiqui, the Pakistani neuroscientist suspected of having ties to al-Qaida, the officials said. He also said he wanted to be able to speak with her, according to the officials. Siddiqui is in federal prison in Texas. <Source>

The height of media idiocy…

The mainstream media’s continuous live news coverage of the hostage situation is an unpaid commercial for future terrorists seeking martyrdom. Amazingly, the procession of former-this or former-that talking heads speculating about attitudes, tactics, and filling the air with inane chatter is abominable.

But nothing tops Fox News having Lara Trump opine on the private training of religious leaders in tactics needed to respond to a hostage crisis. And inserting the failure of Biden and the strength of Trump into the conversation. How many times can you repeat “Fox News Alert” ten hours after the hostage-taking began?

This type of fill-the-space partisan commentary numbs the audience to this act of terrorism and desensitizes the nation to the threat of terrorism.

Bottom line…

Crazies, criminals, and terrorists are surging across our Southern Border. At the same time, Attorney General Merrick B. Garland, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas, and FBI Director Christopher Wray refused to investigate and prosecute government officials ignoring federal immigration laws and allowing the slow-moving takeover of the United States. 

Note to our political leadership: Ignoring the threat that violent Islamic extremism, both foreign and domestic, poses to the United States is a dereliction of duty.
