DOJ/FBI'S HEAVY-HANDED ABUSE OF POWER IS TYRANNY ON DISPLAY

Trump advisor Peter Navarro tears into FBI for ‘putting him in leg irons and putting him in John Hinckley’s cell’ after his arrest for contempt of Congress: Calls Biden government’ authoritarian’ and compares treatment to Stalinist Russia

  • Peter Navarro was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday for contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena from the Jan. 6 committee
  • He is reportedly in custody pending a court appearance this afternoon
  • Navarro has been charged with two counts of contempt, one for failing to appear for a deposition before the committee and one for failing to produce documents
  • Navarro is the second Trump adviser indicted after Steve Bannon
  • Last month Navarro launched a lawsuit against Pelosi and the Jan 6 committee
  • Last month the House voted to find him in contempt of Congress for refusing to give evidence to lawmakers investigating the 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol
  • But in an 88-page filing, he argues that the committee had no legal right to subpoena him and that the contempt of Congress vote should be overturned

Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday for contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena from the Jan. 6 committee and says he was put in handcuffs and leg irons as he was arrested ahead of his first court date. 

Navarro told the court the FBI agent approached him and told him he could not contact anyone as he arrested Navarro. 

‘I actually live right next to the FBI. It’s like a 100-yard walk to my door. What did they do instead of that? They let me get all the way to the airport, try to board the plane, come at me, put me in handcuffs, not let me use my phone, take me down, and put me in a jail cell,’ he told reporters outside the courthouse. 

[OCS: This is contrary to the courtesy normally shown to high-ranking non-violent defendants who pose no risk to arresting officers and are not flight risks.]

Navarro called the manor of his arrest ‘terrorism’ and akin to ‘Stalinist Russia.’

He then went after the House Minority Leader: ‘Shame on Kevin McCarthy.’ Navarro claimed McCarthy had not done enough to push back on the select subcommittee.

During the hearing he insisted the Jan. 6 committee was a ‘sham committee’ and prosecutors were ‘playing hardball’ and ‘despicable.’

Navarro was assigned a court-appointed defense attorney but said he would represent himself in a large capacity.

‘I don’t want to spend my retirement savings on lawyers,’ he said.

[OCS: The process, which bankrupts many defendants who are later released or found not guilty, is the punishment. And, the progressive communist democrats use these heavy-handed tactics to discourage others from exerting their constitutional rights and pushing back against the regime.] 

Navarro is expected back in court later this month for an arraignment from Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee. He was released from custody and told to limit travel.

Late last month Navarro launched legal action against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the committee, claiming that they have no legal right to hold him in contempt of Congress for refusing to give evidence. <Source>

Navarro Indicted as Justice Dept. Opts Not to Charge Meadows and Scavino

The House had recommended contempt charges against all three Trump White House aides over their stonewalling of its Jan. 6 inquiry. 

A federal grand jury on Friday indicted Peter Navarro, a White House adviser to former President Donald J. Trump, for failing to comply with a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Capitol attack, even as the Justice Department declined to charge Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino Jr., two other top officials who have also refused to cooperate.

The indictment against Mr. Navarro, handed up in Federal District Court in Washington, marked the first time that an official who served in Mr. Trump’s White House during the events of Jan. 6, 2021, has been charged in connection with the investigation into the attack.

Prosecutors charged Mr. Navarro, 72, with what amounted to a misdemeanor process crime for having failed to appear for a deposition or provide documents to congressional investigators in response to a subpoena issued by the House committee on Feb. 9. The indictment includes two counts of criminal contempt of Congress that each carry a maximum sentence of a year in prison, as well as a fine of up to $100,000.

[OCS: It appears that the Department of Justice is unwilling to accept as fact that the Jan 6 Committee has violated the very resolution that created the committee, the fact that the committee is not fully constituted, the fact that there is no minority ranking member, and that any subpoenas issued by this rogue and out-of-control committee are invalid and subject to court challenge. Not to mention issues of Presidential Executive Privilege, which another sitting president cannot waive.]

The Justice Department has declined to take similar steps against Mr. Meadows, Mr. Trump’s final chief of staff, and Mr. Scavino, the deputy chief of staff, according to people familiar with prosecutors’ decision and a letter reviewed by The New York Times informing the top House counsel of it.

“Based on the individual facts and circumstances of their alleged contempt, my office will not be initiating prosecutions for criminal contempt as requested in the referral against Messrs. Meadows and Scavino,” Matthew M. Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, wrote to Douglas N. Letter, the general counsel of the House, on Friday. “My office’s review of each of the contempt referrals arising from the Jan. 6 committee’s investigation is complete.” <Source>  

Bottom line…

Who is going to hold House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the corrupt rogue members of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol responsible for their abuse of power and process for a partisan pre-election political attack on their opposition, with the intent to interfere with a 2024 presidential election?

Who is going to redress the violation of House Rules, namely the violation of Section 2 of the Committee Authorization Resolution? 

SEC. 2. COMPOSITION.

(a) Appointment Of Members.—The Speaker shall appoint 13 Members to the Select Committee, 5 of whom shall be appointed after consultation with the minority leader.

There are nine committee members, none of which were appointed after consultation with the minority leader:  Chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Pete Aguilar (D-CA), Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Elaine Luria (D-VA), Liz Cheney (R-WY), and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).

Liz Cheney is not the ranking member and has been given the legally meaningless title of vice-chair. Speaker Pelosi appointed both Cheney and Kinzinger without the approval of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Who will hold liar, leaker, and perjurer Adam Schiff responsible for his contemptuous and/or criminal behavior?

With a partisan judiciary in Washington, D.C., and a majority Democrat jury pool – the short answer may be NOBODY!

Remember, no matter how bad the optics on the Navarro arrest may look, remember there are a number of Jan. 6 political prisoners who have been denied their constitutional rights and remain in solitary confinement for more than one year. Now that is an abuse of power and actual tyranny.

ANOTHER PUTZ IN GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

Accountability in government is mostly dead.

Politicians and unelected bureaucrats can put forth the most damaging and outrageous racial allegations while refusing to reveal their preliminary assumptions, methodology, or substantiation of their findings. This is unacceptable in a nation governed by the people, for the people.

This is especially curious in Minnesota, where anti-Semitic, anti-white, un-American Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has not been formally investigated over allegations she married her brother to commit immigration fraud and continues to siphon off campaign funds to her husband. The same Ilhan Omar shouting to defund and disband police departments.

It is what we say it is, and that’s it…

State Prohibits Inspection of Data Underlying MPD Human Rights Report

The state of Minnesota will not allow the public to view the materials that underlay a recent report accusing the Minneapolis Police Department of routinely violating human rights.

The report, compiled by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR), concluded that “there is probable cause that the City and MPD engage in a pattern or practice of race discrimination in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act.”

Specifically, the report says MPD officers take harsher action against black people than white people in similar circumstances, use offensive language, and maintain anonymous social media accounts “to surveil black individuals and organizations.”

However, when Power Line’s Scott Johnson asked the MDHR to let him see the 480,000 pages of material that purportedly support its scathing conclusion, he was told this is impossible.

“There is no public data available beyond what’s available in the 72-page findings and posted on our website,” communications director Taylor Putz confirmed.

This means residents and the media cannot factcheck the report’s conclusions. In light of this, Johnson dismissed the entire MDHR document as “questionable at best and in certain respects laughable on its face.” <Source>

Bottom line…

It is time to change this nation from the bottom up, starting with local officials willing to eliminate non-responsive agencies and bureaucrats.

CISA’s Mis-, Dis-, Malinformation Team (MDM Team) is charged with building national resilience to mis-, dis-, and malinformation (MDM) and foreign influence activities. The MDM Team does this by helping the American people and DHS stakeholders understand the scope and scale of MDM activities targeting elections and critical infrastructure, and by enabling them to take actions to mitigate risks associated with MDM.

What is MDM?

Misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation make up what CISA defines as “information activities.” When this type of content is released by foreign actors, it can be referred to as foreign influence. Definitions for each are below.

  • Misinformation is false, but not created or shared with the intention of causing harm.

  • Disinformation is deliberately created to mislead, harm, or manipulate a person, social group, organization, or country.

  • Malinformation is based on fact, but used out of context to mislead, harm, or manipulate.

Foreign and domestic threat actors use MDM campaigns to cause chaos, confusion, and division. These malign actors are seeking to interfere with and undermine our democratic institutions and national cohesiveness. The resources provided at the bottom of this page provide examples and more information about MDM activities.

Building Resilience

The MDM team’s plan for building national resilience through public awareness and engagement is focused on engaging three categories of stakeholders to enable a whole-of-society approach:

  • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) – The MDM team engages SMEs to enhance our understanding of the threat and how to mitigate the impact of information activities, to include how best to message to the public. SMEs include researchers, think tanks, and marketing/advertising experts.

[OCS: As we have seen over the past few years, only the regime’s selected subject matter experts are considered for exposure, while equally educated, credentialed, and experienced individuals who challenge the existing narrative or put forth an alternative hypothesis are censored or canceled from distribution platforms. Many prestigious and well-known think tanks and foundations are known to have extreme political biases and are fundamentally suspect. And marketing/advertising experts are all about engagement and manipulation, not specifically conveying truth as much as a specific viewpoint or narrative.]

  • Trusted Voices – The federal government cannot solve the MDM problem on its own. We need both trusted voices and those who can amplify resilience messaging. Trusted voices include state and local government officials, community leaders, and associations. The engagement with trusted voices helps the MDM team reach communities targeted by previous MDM campaigns.

[OCS: Trusted by whom? In most cases, the answer is, trusted by the regime or the regime’s gatekeepers. Those who can amplify messaging are primarily celebrities and influencers – more known for narrative, not news.] 

  • American Public – In addition to working with Trusted Voices, the MDM team develops informational products and tools for use by the American people. Each of us has the power to stop information activities. The MDM team is focused on helping all Americans understand how bad actors are targeting them and what they can do to ensure those actors are not successful.

[OCS:  Most people do not have the time, energy, or motivation to research or verify information, tending to mirror the behavior of their peer groups. To the extent a population may be manipulated only requires looking at our elections and the corrupt fools and charlatans they elect based on packaged propaganda. No matter where on the political spectrum you might be, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump are all examples of unsuitable presidential candidates when measured by traditional standards. Here, the real question is simple – can you trust the MDM team to reliably and correctly inform the American people. Since the MDM Team is part of the regime, the answer is a resounding NO!]

Bridging Election Stakeholders and Social Media

The MDM team serves as a switchboard for routing disinformation concerns to appropriate social media platforms and law enforcement. This activity began in 2018, supporting state and local election officials to mitigate disinformation about the time, place, and manner of voting. For the 2020 election, CISA expanded the breadth of reporting to include other state and local officials and more social media platforms. This activity leverages the rapport the MDM team has with the social media platforms to enable shared situational awareness.   <Source>

Bottom line…

My first rule – you can no longer trust our government. We have seen our nation’s premier intelligence, law enforcement, and healthcare agencies politicized and weaponized to the point that they are responsible for much of the disseminated disinformation.

My second rule – you can no longer trust the corporatized mainstream media as they are inherently biased to the point that some serve as propagandists for political interests.

My third rule -- you can no longer trust social media influencers, many of whom are paid shills for commercial and political interests.

My fourth rule – while you can no longer rely on the Republicans to solve all of our nation’s problems – the majority of those problems like higher crime rates, inflation, higher food prices, higher gas prices, lack of baby formula, higher taxes, and they were all caused by Democrats and their corrupt, incompetent regime.

Biden calls for assault weapons ban, making gun manufacturers liable for shootings

President Biden on Thursday made an emotional appeal for ambitious new gun laws, including a ban on military-style rifles, as lawmakers wrangled bitterly over how to prevent more bloodshed in America.

In an address to the nation, the president prodded Congress that “it is time to act” and repeatedly declared “enough” about the slaughters in schools and other mass shootings that have become all too routine in the U.S.

If Congress would not ban assault weapons outright, Mr. Biden said, the least lawmakers could do would be to raise the age of purchase for semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21.

Mr. Biden also urged lawmakers to expand background checks for gun purchases, change liability laws to allow gun manufacturers to be sued for shootings and make gun owners liable for not keeping their firearms locked up.

“This isn’t about taking away anyone’s rights,” Mr. Biden said. “It’s about protecting children, about protecting families. … It’s about protecting our freedom to go to school, to a grocery store, to a church without being shot and killed.”

He said the overwhelming majority of Americans support tougher gun laws and that, he hoped, voters would hold the lawmakers accountable. <Source>

Nancy Pelosi’s husband was in car crash before his DUI arrest: cops

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband crashed a new Porsche just five miles from their multi-million-dollar California vineyard when he was busted for allegedly driving drunk, police documents revealed Monday.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was in a 2021 Porsche when he tried to get across State Route-29 in Napa Valley from a country lane close to other vineyards, just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday, his arrest report said.

As he attempted to cross the main road, “his Porsche was struck” by a 2014 Jeep driven by a 48-year-old local man, the document said. The other driver was not arrested. <Source>

Common sense tells you…

(1) Concerning shootings and drunk driving, the individual, not an inanimate object, must be held responsible for their behavior, actions, and outcomes.

(2)  Criminals, crazies, terrorists, and drunks do not respect or follow existing laws.

(3)  In a nation of 330+ million, there are bound to be heinous events, and it is impossible to achieve zero tolerance levels when psychopaths, substance abusers, and other miscreants act out. To the extent that the media, with its repetitive 24/7 coverage amplifies these events into even more significant catastrophes or provides infamous notoriety to the perpetrator, the media must accept a portion of the blame from reporting that goes beyond news coverage to political propaganda.

(4)  Politicians who want to pass additional laws to disarm law-abiding citizens with a God-given right to self-defense should be thrown out of office for increasing the vulnerability of the public to thuggery, injury, and death.

(5)  If anything, firearms training in schools should take precedent over learning about deviant sexual behavior or genital mutilation to make yourself feel better or receive approval from the perverts in their lives.

(6)  Just as "assault rifle" is a meaningless made-up political label, there is no such thing as commonsense gun control. THE ISSUE IS CRIME CONTROL AND THE DEMOCRATS WHO FAVOR PERPETRATORS OVER VICTIMS!

COMMUNIST COMEDY AT THE UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON DISARMAMENT

Only in the dystopian political world does one overlook the irony and nonsensical nature of allowing Communist North Korea to chair the United Nations Conference on Disarmament North for even one moment, let alone four weeks.

The Conference on Disarmament, the world's single multilateral forum for disarmament negotiations, will hold the first public plenary of its 2022 session on Tuesday, 25 January, during which it will hear a statement by Tatiana Valovaya, Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to the Conference, and Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The session will open under the presidency of China. The presidency of the Conference rotates among its Member States according to the English alphabetical order, with each President holding office for four working weeks. After China’s presidency (24 January to 18 February), the following countries will also take the presidency during 2022: Colombia (21 February to 18 March), Cuba (21 March to 1 April and 16 to 27 May), Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (30 May to 24 June), Democratic Republic of the Congo (27 June to 1 July and 1 to 19 August), and Ecuador (22 August to 16 September). The three parts of the 2022 session of the Conference will be held from 24 January to 1 April for the first part, from 16 May to 1 July for the second part, and from 1 August to 16 September for the third part.

The first plenary meeting will start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 25 January in room XIX. Speakers will address the meeting in person, while the public can follow the meeting on listen-live.unog.chOpens in new window.

Not only do the majority of the participating nations not possess nuclear arms or strategic intercontinental ballistic missiles, but they are also hostile to the national interests of the United States. Another reason why the corrupt, cowardly, and feckless United Nations needs to be disbanded in favor of an effective entity that fulfills its original mission to prevent genocide and mediate global conflict.

SUSSMANN: THE SWAMP WINS ANOTHER ONE OR DID IT?

This is how justice appears to work in Washington, D.C.

The jury had one job: to weigh the presented evidence and apply the law to the case – not to judge whether or not the case should have been brought.

After the verdict, the jury forewoman, who declined to give her name, spoke to the media.

“I don’t think it should have been prosecuted.”

“There are bigger things that affect the nation than a possible lie to the FBI.”

“It was the government’s job to prove it, and they succeeded in some ways and not in others.”

“We broke it down, and it did not pan out in the government’s favor.”

“Politics was not a factor.”

sussmannA jury's knowing and deliberate rejection of the evidence or refusal to apply the law either because the jury wants to send a message about some social issue that is larger than the case itself, or because the result dictated by law is contrary to the jury's sense of justice, morality, or fairness.

Jury nullification is a discretionary act, and is not a legally sanctioned function of the jury.  It is considered to be inconsistent with the jury's duty to return a verdict based solely on the law and the facts of the case.  The jury does not have a right to nullification, and counsel is not permitted to present the concept of jury nullification to the jury.  However, jury verdicts of acquittal are unassailable even where the verdict is inconsistent with the weight of the evidence and instruction of the law.

Michael Sussmann

Michael A. Sussmann (born 1964) is an American former federal prosecutor and a former partner at the law firm Perkins Coie, who focused on privacy and cybersecurity law. Sussmann represented the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and retained CrowdStrike to examine its servers after two Russian hacker groups penetrated DNC networks and stole information during the 2016 U.S. elections.

The Trump administration appointed John Durham as special counsel to investigate the origins of the FBI probe into links between Trump associates and Russian officials. Durham spent three years on the investigation and, in 2021, brought a single charge of making false statements against Sussmann, accusing him of having lied to the FBI in one meeting in 2016, with no witnesses. Sussman pleaded not guilty. After a jury trial in May 2022, Sussman was unanimously acquitted.

Just thinking out loud…

Considering that Special Counsel John Durham knew, before the trial, of the judge’s conflict of interests, and after voir dire, the apparent bias of several jury members and yet did nothing, suggests a decision matrix.

(1)  Special Counsel John Durham is part of the swamp and seeks to perform damage control and delay any accountability beyond the statute of limitations, typically five or seven years.

(2)  Special Counsel John Durham didn’t care about the conflicts and was willing to risk or even court jury nullification.

(3)  Special Counsel John Durham didn’t care about the Sussmann case because it was a vehicle to: one, demonstrate the corruption within the Washington, D.C. judicial environment to bolster future change of venue requests or judge recusals; two, enter sworn testimony and documentary evidence as part of an adjudicated trial for future use, and three, use the admitted evidence and testimony to further a broader case involving a criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States.

But could there be additional charges?

I want to consider the possibility that Special Counsel John Durham is playing the long game. However, I have found that my unjustified regard for former FBI Director James Comey, Robert Mueller, and various intelligence chiefs was misplaced over the years. So, I do not have more than “hope” that Special Counsel John Durham will do the right thing on behalf of America and its Constitution.

CALIFORNIA PANDERING TO THE ALPHABET PEOPLE

Who even knew transgender homelessness was a thing?

I was under the impression that homelessness was driven by primarily by mental illness, drug addiction, and those pimps that profit from the multi-million dollar homeless-industrial complex.

Mayor London Breed on Tuesday announced $6.5 million in her proposed budget for a plan to end trans homelessness in San Francisco by 2027.

Breed is expected to unveil her proposed two-year budget June 1.

According to a news release from her office, the plan to end trans homelessness will be a collaborative effort between the Mayor’s Office on Housing and Community Development, the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, the Department of Public Health, the Office of Transgender Initiatives, and nonprofit organizations serving transgender and gender-nonconforming people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness.

The proposal makes San Francisco the first city in the U.S. to commit to ending homelessness for TGNC people, the mayor’s office stated. The Board of Supervisors amends and approves the mayor’s budget proposal before approving the city’s two-year budget July 1.

The mayor’s proposed two-year budget includes the following to begin implementation of the plan to end trans homelessness: at least 150 long-term housing subsidies through the city’s Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool program and acquisition and operations for a new permanent supportive housing site for TGNC and LGBQ+ youth, with a focus on transition age youth

The plan also calls for $6 million over two years dedicated to fund short-term rental subsidies, flexible financial assistance, and support to build capacity among nonprofit providers serving TGNC residents and $500,000 to fund behavioral health services for TGNC individuals experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness, building on the $500,000 investment already supporting trans youth experiencing homelessness, according to the release. <Source>

While I am not surprised that a San Francisco politician would pander to the alphabet people, I am astonished that transgender individuals are numerous enough to warrant a special funds allocation. Primarily because transgenderism is usually classified as gender dysphoria, a mental illness.

Gender dysphoria is the distress a person feels due to a mismatch between their gender identity—their personal sense of their own gender—and their sex assigned at birth. The diagnostic label gender identity disorder was used until 2013 with the release of the diagnostic manual DSM-5. [302.85 (F64.9) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition; published by the American Psychiatric Association.]

The DSM-5 indicates that the prevalence of gender dysphoria is 0.005-0.014% for adult born as males, whereas it is 0.002-0.003% for adult born as females. Among children, it is higher in those born as boys, where it is 2-4.5 times greater than those born as girls. Among teenagers, there is no real difference, between males and females.

Bottom line…

It’s all money and politics.

SUSSMANN WALKS -- AMERICA SCREWED AGAIN BY THE DEMOCRATS

Naturally, I am severely disappointed in the jury’s acquittal of Michael Sussman on the charge of lying to the FBI about his motivation for presenting false allegations and evidence to the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a political dirty trick targeted at the Donald Trump campaign.

Presenting false and misleading politically-motivated allegations to the nation’s premier intelligence and law enforcement agencies without significant consequences has severely impacted the credibility and reliability of the agencies and rendered truth irrelevant.

The outcome of the Sussmann jury trial appeared to have been crippled from the start, beginning with the venue, which was comprised of a majority of individuals that supported the Democrats and loathed Donald Trump as a direct threat to their power base and continued employment, a judge with a cognizable conflict of interest regarding past relationships with individuals involved in the trial and his wife’s relationship with a potential grand jury witness, and a jury with a member who had a tangential relationship through her daughter’s school with one of the participants.

The fact that Sussmann lied to the FBI was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt – by his own sworn Congressional testimony, his own electronic communications, and the sworn testimony of the message recipient. While the matter of “materiality” was obfuscated by endless and confusing testimony about process matters, it was enough to provide cover for the jury’s decision. However, the fact remains that the “materiality” requirement of the charge was proven when James Baker said he likely wouldn’t have referred the case out for investigation, had he known of the Clinton connection.

After a two week trial, and more than a day of deliberations, the jury found that Special Counsel John Durham’s team had not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Sussmann’s statement was a lie, and that he was, in fact, working on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and technology executive Rodney Joffe when he brought two thumb drives and a white paper alleging a Trump-Russia connection.

In remarks following the verdict, Sussmann said that he had been falsely accused.

"I told the truth to the FBI, and the Jury clearly recognized this in their unanimous verdict today," he said. "I’m grateful to the members of the jury for their careful thoughtful service. Despite being falsely accused I believe that Justice ultimately prevailed in my case. As you can imagine this has been a difficult year for my family and me. But right now we are grateful for the love and support of so many during this ordeal."

Durham issued a terse statement expressing his office's disappointment.

"While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service," Durham said. "I also want to recognize and thank the investigators and the prosecution team for their dedicated efforts in seeking truth and justice in this case." <Source>

U.S. spy agencies warned not to discriminate against Chinese Americans

The FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies are not permitted to consider Chinese-Americans as a greater security threat despite their targeting by China’s intelligence service for recruitment, according to a report made public Tuesday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

“While continuing to combat the significant national security threat posed by the [People’s Republic of China], IC agencies and components must ensure that their intelligence activities and security clearance processes protect the privacy, civil liberties, and civil rights of Americans of Chinese descent and all other Americans,” the report concludes.

The report appears to be based on unfounded allegations of Chinese-American racism by intelligence and security agencies.

The 22-page report was required by a provision of the fiscal 2020 Defense Authorization Act that sought a study on how spy agencies operations targeting China affect the privacy and civil liberties of Chinese Americans.

That law states that “the People’s Republic of China (PRC) appears to be specifically targeting the Chinese-American community for intelligence purposes.”

Aggressive Chinese spy recruitments carry “a substantial risk” that the loyalty of Chinese Americans may be questioned and lead to stereotyping and racial profiling, the law said.

“The broad stereotyping, targeting, and racial profiling of Americans of Chinese descent is contrary to the values of the United States and reinforces the flawed narrative perpetuated by the People’s Republic of China that ethnically Chinese individuals worldwide have a duty to support the People’s Republic of China,” the law said. <Source>

This is like screening Norwegians for terrorism rather than arrivals from Muslim countries with known terrorist activity. The United States Constitution is not a suicide pact and an invitation for our foreign and domestic enemies to use our own laws to further their nefarious activities.

Biden opposed to ‘hardening schools’ against potential shooters: Jean-Pierre

President Joe Biden does not support “hardening schools” against potential school shooters following the massacre at a Texas elementary school last week, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday.

“I know there’s been conversation about hardening schools, that is not something he believes in,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at a White House press conference. “He believes that we should be able to give teachers the resources to be able to do their job.” <Source>

As long as the progressive communist democrats can advance their agenda to disarm American citizens, they appear to welcome mass shootings while simultaneously ignoring the daily slaughter of citizens in the inner cities. China Could Use Forbes To Push Communist Propaganda, Senators Warn

CCP-controlled company wants to buy American media outlet

A Chinese-controlled firm's bid to buy the Forbes media company poses a national security threat and would allow the Chinese Communist Party to push its propaganda by using one of the most recognizable American brand names, according to a group of Republican senators.

"Forbes is a recognizable American brand with immense propaganda value to the CCP," Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Bill Hagerty (Tenn.), Ted Cruz (Texas), and Bill Cassidy (La.) wrote on May 24 to the Treasury Department, demanding the Biden administration launch an investigation into the proposed purchase. "The CCP's direction of Forbes' editorial content and business operations, or its access to Forbes' financial and personal research, could present a serious national security threat to the United States."

Forbes announced in August that it was preparing to be acquired by Magnum Opus Acquisition Limited, which is "controlled by the Chinese Communist Party," according to the senators. <Source>

What better platform for spying on internal corporate activities, including public defense contractors, than a major financial news publication? Forbes’s website notes it covers finance, technology, communications, science, politics, and law.

Indeed, Trump has his enemies, and the progressive socialist democrats are not happy about his increasing presence on social media, continual fundraising, and the possibility of another presidential campaign in 2024, however remote.

That is no reason to continue the destruction of the nation’s institutions and further impact the credibility of our judiciary.

If Americans continue to observe a tiered justice system where the wealthy and political elites avoid being held accountable for their demonstrably corrupt and criminal actions, the rule of law is no longer an underpinning of our republic – precisely what the progressive socialists want.
