Bottom line…

There was a time when Disney movies, books, and television represented clean, wholesome, family-friendly entertainment. As with almost all artistic enterprises, the gay population was over-represented, and the company was quietly tolerant of all employees.

Unfortunately, Walt’s dream was corporatized and rendered almost unrecognizable by a few vocal gay activists, the great majority of whom were progressive communist democrats seeking to boost their self-esteem and political power by forcing unsuspecting parents to accept their personal behavior as just another part of mainstream America.

It is hard to believe that a multi-billion dollar entertainment conglomerate like Disney lacks moral clarity and has managed to openly promote the abuse of children.

Time to implement “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policies at Disneyland and change its top leaders who sell out the company, our children, and our country.

Disney, a tradition from my youth -- has gone beyond woke as they attempt to destroy the innocence of childhood with their support of the overt sexualization of children in kindergarten to third grade in Florida.

Memo to Disney employees: I don't give a damn about you or what you identify as -- just do your damn job!

Supporting the sexualization of young children is not good business and goes beyond politics into the realm of pure evil. 

We are so screwed when children are indoctrinated into life-altering ideologies they can not possibly understand.

Despite France seeing a drastic increase in crime and murder, Emmanuel Macron said he believes that people do not have the right to defend themselves

After a farmer shot a man who broke into his home, French President Emmanuel Macron said the French people do not have the right to self-defense, and the man should have instead let the police handle the incident.

Macron made his controversial remarks on Europe 1 news channel while broadcasting in Fourras, France, after learning of the news that a 35-year-old man from Longré, in the north of Charente, was indicted for murder after fatally shooting a 40-year-old man who broke into his home last Friday.

According to the initial investigation, the farmer fired twice with a large caliber rifle at a group of four burglars, killing one of them. The self-defense shooting took place last Friday, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., and the man was alone with his 3-year-old daughter at the time.

When commenting on the matter, Macron said that he considers himself to be living in the “state of law.”

“Everyone must be safe, and the public authorities have to ensure it,” he declared while speaking on Europe 1.

“But I am opposed to self-defense. It’s very clear and undisputable because otherwise, the country becomes the Wild West. And I don’t want a country where weapons proliferate and where we consider that it’s up to the citizens to defend themselves,” said Macron.

The president said he wants the French to rely on the police and the gendarmerie to ensure their safety, however, critics have pointed to France’s deteriorating security situation, increase in murders, and sexual assaults. The existence of no-go zones in majority migrant neighborhoods where police fear to go has only fueled fears that France is unable to police a significant portion of its population.<Source>

We need to kick France out of NATO. Not worth defending people who won’t defend themselves.

UNFAIR COMPETITION IS A BITCH

My sad tale of woe…

You risk thousands of dollars to design, prototype, test, and market your product, which becomes a commercial success.

Imagine your surprise – and anger – when you find a knock-off copy-cat item being offered via the same sales outlet where you are experiencing success.

This is not a new development.

In the late sixties, I experienced this exact situation when a sizeable mailorder house curtailed purchases from my company and offered a seemingly similar product. Not only did lost revenue cause financial hardship, but it introduced legal complications arising from a lawsuit filed against the mailorder house citing damages from the use of our competitor’s product.

Since our purchase order included a “hold harmless” clause, we were automatically added to the lawsuit. The legal matter was resolved in our favor when we pointed out that we were not the defective product’s manufacturer, who used cheap polystyrene plastic instead of heat-tolerant polypropylene.

However, the most shocking revelation was that the manufacturer of the bogus competing product was a Chinese company that specialized in knocking-off plastic products – and was acting on behalf of our seller, who had even provided a minimum order guarantee. They used our sales data to drive their knock-off decision.

Even though we had a patent, we fronted thousands of dollars in legal fees to find out that we couldn’t touch the foreign manufacturer. We could only proceed against our customer who turned over the plastic injection molds and all remaining products, which we promptly destroyed.

Federal securities regulators are investigating how Amazon.com Inc. has disclosed some details of its business practices, including how it uses third-party-seller data for its private-label business, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is probing how the technology giant—the largest U.S. e-commerce retailer and cloud-computing company—handled disclosures of its employees’ use of data from sellers on its e-commerce platform, the people said. The SEC’s enforcement division has asked for emails and communications from several senior Amazon executives, according to one of the people.

A spokesman for Amazon declined to comment.

In April 2020, a Wall Street Journal investigation, citing internal documents and interviews with former Amazon staffers, found the company’s employees routinely used individual third-party-seller data to develop products for its own brands. A company spokesman denied that such actions were taken, echoing an Amazon lawyer’s congressional testimony a year earlier, saying the company does “not use their individual data when we’re making decisions to launch private brands.”

Amazon has since launched an internal investigation of its private-label division but has declined to provide a copy of its report to a congressional committee that earlier investigated Amazon and other technology companies’ size and power, the Journal has reported. <Source>

I am, however, surprised that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is investigating the matter instead of the Federal Trade Commission, which protects consumers from unfair and deceptive business practices.

A cautionary tale?

Fast forward to today’s computerized environment and the use of cloud computing. Not only are the intermediaries to the transaction, including browser and app vendors and your Internet Service Provider, harvesting your personal and transactional data, but computer vendors are also reaching deep into your system to grab usage data with the stated purpose of “improving the user experience.”

Even worse, cloud storage companies assert their rights to scan your data for unstated purposes, sometimes citing the need to protect against illegal activities such as child porn or other dangerous behaviors. And, you have absolutely no recourse if you read the mandatory, unilateral terms of service agreement and the accompanying privacy statement. But worst of all, additional separate agreements come into play with every followed link or other services you access.

Bottom line…

Unfair competition can be devastating for small companies with limited resources or a single product. Even larger companies cannot effectively wage war with a billion-dollar enterprise with a legion of in-house attorneys who will use the company’s abundant resources to bankrupt you or force a settlement.

The answer is a “declaration of digital rights” that starts with defining the data you own, data controls you can legally exert, and limitations on those onerous, one-sided unilateral service agreements. All backed by penalties and even jail time for egregious offenses. Plus, the ability to hold company executives responsible for their behavior. No more bullpucky agencies that impose “record fines” (which are often quietly reduced) along with a statement where the evildoer neither admits nor denies the allegations in the complaint. Corporate executives skate because corporations cannot go to jail.

We are so screwed, and it is getting worse as digital currencies and tracking are introduced into daily life.

CRITICAL RACE THEORY AS AN EXCUSE FOR MINORITY CRIME

Why the Senate should not confirm Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson…

(1)  Cannot acknowledge biological reality to define a woman.

During the second day of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asked her to give a definition of the word “woman.” Jackson, a woman, said she could not give one because “I am not a biologist.” <Source>

(2)  Cannot speak to the nature of the law and the foundation of human rights.

QUESTION: Please explain, in your own words, the theory prevalent among members of the Founding Fathers’ generation that humans possess natural rights that are inherent or inalienable.

RESPONSE: The theory that humans possess inherent or inalienable rights is reflected in the Declaration of Independence, which states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

QUESTION: Do you hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights, yes or no?

To be effective, both as guidance and as a deterrent, the law should be understandable, applied equally to all individuals who must accept personal responsibility for their actions, and be swiftly applied with certain punishment.

The type of neo-definitive legal interpretation and judicial discretion used by  activist judges is crippling our nation and producing a class-oriented judicial system that advantages elites and minorities over "We the People."

The fact that the Democrat Party no longer supports the fundamental precepts of our republic is beyond troubling, it's treasonous!

MICROSOFT EDGE: IMPROVE YOUR USER EXPERIENCE BY GIVING US ACCESS TO YOUR LIFE

I just encountered a new Microsoft Edge pop-up...

Microsoft’s default position has always been to ignore its intrusive corporate surveillance (aka “telemetry”) because it is all about "improving the user experience" rather than selling customer-targeted advertising.

This default position is troubling because browsers are increasingly able to access device sensors, including cameras, microphones, accelerometers, GPS location, and applications that can gather biometric samples. Not only is it possible to locate your position, but confirm it is, indeed, you.

Enabled by default…

It should not surprise anyone that Edge sends unique hardware identifiers to Microsoft which cannot be easily changed or deleted, and all trackers are enabled by default in all Edge installations to share details of every webpage you visit with their services. All these browsers use autocomplete feature to send web addresses to their services in real-time.

According to a browser analysis, from Douglas Leith with the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College in Ireland, Edge sends privacy-invasive telemetry to Microsoft’s back-end servers — including “persistent” device identifiers and URLs typed into browsing pages. <Source>

  • Edge sends the hardware UUID [Universally Unique IDentifier] of the device to Microsoft, a strong and enduring identifier than cannot be easily changed or deleted.
  • Edge connects to edge.microsoft.com roughly every 30 mins and to config.edge.skype.com and smartscreen-prod.microsoft.com roughly every hour.
  • Requests to config.edge.skype.com seem to be checking for updates to Edge itself. SmartScreen is Microsoft’s malware/anti-phishing service and so presumably the requests to smartscreen-prod.microsoft.com relate to that.
  • Edge sends text to www.bing.com (a Microsoft search service) as it is typed. A request is sent for almost every letter typed.
  • Once the typed URL has been navigated to, Edge then makes two additional requests: one to web.vortex.data.microsoft.com and one to nav.smartscreen.microsoft.com. The request to nav.smartscreen.microsoft.com includes the URL entered and forms part of Microsoft’s phishing/malware protection service, while the request to web.vortex.data.microsoft.com transmits two cookies.

From a privacy perspective, Microsoft Edge and Yandex [A browser linked to Russia] are qualitatively different from the other browsers studied. Both send persistent identifiers than can be used to link requests (and associated IP  address/location) to back-end servers.

Edge also sends the hardware UUID of the device to Microsoft and Yandex similarly transmits a hashed hardware identifier to back-end servers.

As far as we can tell this behavior cannot be disabled by users. In addition to the search autocomplete functionality that shares details of web pages visited, both transmit web page information to servers that appear unrelated to search autocomplete.

Choose one: convenience or privacy!

Bottom line…

Before accepting any default, please read the fine print carefully and be sure what the terms, conditions, and weasel words imply and how they impact your personal privacy. And, like Bill Clinton questioning what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is, make sure you understand the meaning of yes/no and on/off options. Yes – you want the option “off” and inactive or “yes,” you agree the option should be “on” and active.

TREASON? GIVING AID AND COMFORT TO OUR ENEMIES

There is no doubt that Iran is a hostile foreign power engaged in an undeclared war against the United States.

The Pentagon is upping the official estimate on the number of U.S. troops in Iraq who were killed by Iranian-backed militias, now putting that number at at least 603. That means roughly one in every six American combat fatalities in Iraq were attributable to Iran. These casualties were the result of explosively formed penetrators (EFP), other improvised explosive devices (IED), improvised rocket-assisted munitions (IRAM), rockets, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades (RPG), small-arms, sniper, and other attacks in Iraq. <Source>

Likewise, there is no doubt in my mind that former President Obama, an America-hating, Israel-hating, communist Manchurian Candidate, has participated in a bogus non-treaty that failed to curb Iran’s development of ICBMs which are capable of striking the continental United States and continuing development of nuclear weapons in return for billions of dollars that stabilized an Iranian economy on the brink of collapse and provided funding for additional development of weapons of war and continuing state-sponsored terrorism.

Unlike other countries that possess or desire to possess nuclear weaponry, Iran has a singular death wish that posits that a nuclear apocalypse – primarily directed at Israel – will bring about the return of the Twelfth Imam.

Because, Shi’ite Muslims believe the Twelfth Imam, or Mahdi, the last in a line of saints, descended from Ali, the founder of their sect and vanished down a well in 941 AD. According to this belief, he went into a state of occulation’ like the sun hiding behind the clouds. The story goes on and claims that after a stormy period of apocalyptic wars, the clouds will part, and the sun (the Mahdi) will be revealed. They believe that when he is released from his imprisonment, the entire world will submit to Islam. This belief is the driving force behind Ahmadinejad, Ayatollah Khameni, and the majority of the central figures in the Iranian government. <Source>

The primary reason that Israel has not attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, deeply buried in fortified bunkers, is that they lack bunker-busting bombs and the heavy-lift capacity to deliver bunker-buster bombs.

Pentagon to scrap nuclear gravity bomb as part of Biden review -- B83 was sole weapon capable of blasting deeply buried targets

The Pentagon will eliminate the sole nuclear gravity bomb in the U.S. strategic weapons arsenal capable of blasting deeply buried underground structures as part of the Biden administration‘s review of strategic weapons policy, according to U.S. officials.

The retirement of the B83 bomb, a megaton-class weapon delivered by B-2 stealth bombers, was disclosed to Congress last month as part of the Biden administration’s classified nuclear posture review, a major reassessment of strategic forces and their employment. The bomb is “costly to maintain and of increasingly limited value,” a senior defense official told The Washington Times.

The decision to cancel the weapon carries what defense officials say is the increasing challenge for U.S. planners to deter nuclear adversaries like China, North Korea and Russia. All three states are expanding their nuclear forces with the addition of new strategic weapons and warheads.

“The Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) considered the need to hold at risk adversary hard and deeply buried targets,” the defense official said. “In reviewing the diminishing role of the B83-1 in accomplishing this task, the NPR concluded that this weapon should be retired.” 

Supporters of the B83 say it is still needed for deterring China, which has built a vast network of underground tunnels estimated to be 3,000 miles snaking throughout the country. The tunnel system, dubbed the “Underground Great Wall,” is used for producing and storing China‘s growing nuclear arsenal.

In addition to the B83, the administration’s proposed budget cancels plans for a nuclear sea-launched cruise missile, known as SLCM-N. Defense sources said the retirements of both the B83 and canceling the SLCM-N were opposed by U.S. Strategic Commander Adm. Charles Richard. <Source>

It looks like treason to me!

I can see the Biden Administration, run by a cadre of Obama’s acolytes, preventing a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Until this bunker-buster capability is restored, America will be weakened and our deterrence posture degraded. Of course, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley, the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, appear to be more interested in progressive communist democrat woke policies than defending America from her enemies, both foreign and domestic.

THE TRUTH BEHIND TRUMP'S TRUTH SOCIAL PLATFORM IS NOT PRETTY

I believe that what we saw during the Trump Administration was not a display of exceptionalism but the result of a government headed by someone not afraid of the media and who maintained a rather conventional, commonsense approach to answering governance questions.

His path was conditioned by his ego-centric desire to self-aggrandize and avoid looking bad. Truth be told, the results may have been somewhat of a fluke rather than a preplanned outcome.

Throughout Trump’s career, we can find massive failures, papered over by public relations, court settlements, or simply a lack of shame that kept Trump moving forward.

He was transactional in that he would associate with the dodgiest of characters as long as they presented the possibility of fast, easy money, fancy credentials, or looked good and presented themselves well. Vetting was sketchy. Likewise, he could abandon these individuals in a heartbeat if things turned sour or they were no longer useful.

His modus operandi was open-door confusion that kept himself at the center of power – even to the extent of setting individuals and groups against each other to produce results. Most of Trump’s ventures featured a secretive culture ruled by non-disclosure agreements which Trump was quick to enforce. Titles were illusory in a culture where the only sin was to take credit for an accomplishment or assign blame to Trump or his children.

Perhaps this is what was needed at that point in time. But, will it be sufficient to lead the nation on a path to recovery starting in 2024?

From what I can see, the perfidy of the progressive communist democrats and the lack of decent – non-corrupt and competent – candidates on the other side make him look like a shoo-in. Assuming he will even run at an advanced age and there are no seriously suitable candidates who have managed a state like Ron DeSantis.

Why am I  growing increasingly pessimistic?

The pattern and practice are repeating. It appears that Trump’s over-hyped communications platform, Truth Social, appears to be a massive failure and largely inaccessible to a large group of potential conservative users such as myself.

According to former Republican congressman Devin Nunes who gave up his seat to head the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) as its Chief Executive, the Truth Social site was scheduled to be fully operational by the end of March following its February 22nd launch. The Truth Social platform uses a custom (crippled) version of the free and open-source social network hosting software Mastodon. One would think that this well-tested platform would convey certain stability and scalability to the enterprises. Gab, a controversial conservative social network with a large user base became the largest Mastodon node in July 2019. Truth’s hosting provider is Right Forge.

Even after experiencing a large number of downloads from the Apple Store, we find the platform, available only for iPhone and not Android or PC devices, remains largely unavailable for massive numbers of users who would like to participate. Even Trump has not joined the platform as a full-time poster.

Daily downloads declined nearly 95 percent since its alleged February 2022 launch. And, despite the hype, downloads never approached those of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Messenger, Google Maps, Gmail, ZOOM, or Amazon Shopping.

The excuse that the platform is being rolled out slowly to ensure no capacity issues is both stale and lame. With an alleged billion-dollar investment, adding Right Forge's hardware capacity to scale robust Mastodon software should present few significant problems. Moreover, periodic “growth outages are accepted as normal during a site’s beta test phase.

It appears that key “influencers” were given preferential access and possibly paid to add the platform to their normal distribution channels.

But the most problematic indicator is that two top Truth tech executives are leaving.

Like most Trump enterprises, the leadership is largely unknown, and operations are hidden behind a veil of secrecy.

According to Reuters, Josh Adams, the technology chief, and Billy Boozer, the head of product development, have resigned.

Adams and Boozer are said to have worked at a level just below Wes Moss and Andy Litinsky, who were said to be the senior day-to-day managers. Both men were contestants on Season Two of  Trump’s hit reality TV show, “The Apprentice,” but neither man won the coveted “Apprentice” title, which went to West Point graduate Kelly Perdew.

Moss, a talk radio show host, author, and investment advisor, and Andy Litinsky, a  Harvard-trained nationally syndicated radio talk show host, seem unlikely to be candidates thoughtfully chosen to manage a high-profile tech enterprise.

Bottom line…

As far as Truth Social, we will have to wait and see if it succeeds or turns into another fail like Mike “The Pillow Guy” Lindell’s Frank Speech platform, which morphed into Lindell TV.

There is a glimmer of possibility on the horizon. Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter stock could see Trump return to his favored platform as the tide turns against censorship and cancellation. Or, with heavy investors, TMTG could buy and expand the already successful GAB.

As far as a viable Trump candidacy in 2024, again, we will need to wait and see.

I am pessimistic, and my faith is conditioned on potential Durham revelations that demonstrate the election was rigged, the exposure of shenanigans at the CDC and NIH,  a  grassroots movement to bring commonsense to local government, and reform in corporate media as they realize their audience has gone online and never to return. I literally cannot remember when I last used my TiVo-equipped TV. 

As my best friend Al often reminds me, I am not living in the real world.

Not to mention siphoning off mega-bucks from Russian and Ukraine sources for her various corrupt enterprises. It appears that Clinton and the Democrats were the ones colluding with Russians to bring down Trump.]

I want to turn to domestic politics here. The Democratic Party is interesting – in an interesting moment that to me looks quite similar to a moment back in 1989 and 1990, you’re familiar with, where the Democrats are having – what does the party stand for? How far left? How far to the center? And you and your husband were on one side of that conversation. Do you see some similarities to that period of Democratic hand-wringing in the early ’90s?

HILLARY CLINTON:

Well, I don’t know. I do think hand-wringing is part of the Democratic DNA. That seems to be in style whether we’re in or out of power. We’re in power and there still is hand-wringing going on. From my perspective, President Biden is doing a very good job. I think that his handling of Ukraine, passing the American Rescue package, the huge infrastructure package. I’m not quite sure what the disconnect is between the accomplishments of the administration and this Congress and the understanding of what’s been done and the impact it will have on the American public, and some of the polling and the ongoing hand-wringing. I’ve always thought that the best politics is doing the best job you can do. And there’s a lot that Democrats can talk about in this upcoming midterms. I’m well aware that midterms are obviously always difficult for the party in power. But we’ve got a great story to tell. And we need to get out there and do a better job of telling it. And for those who, you know, say it hasn’t gone far enough, that’s always the chorus in Democratic Party politics. But I would add that in Republican Party politics, you have an even greater disconnect. Unfortunately, most of that party has now gone to the, you know, to the extreme and are saying and doing things that have no basis in reality. So we’ve got a good case to make if we get our focus in the right place to do it.

[OCS: Considering inflation, immigration, energy policy, Afghanistan, and corrupt Covid-19 policies, anyone can plainly see that Biden and his cadre of Obamacon puppeteers cannot be trusted with our national security or the nation’s economy. Likewise, the lawless Democrats in Congress, led by Nancy Pelosi. Adam Schiff and other malevolent, racist, anti-America liars and leakers. The only stories the Democrats can tell are fairy tales made up of whole cloth and featuring mythical GOP bogeymen.

As for proof of a disconnect, I give you the Democrat leadership: President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, a triad of meaningless, incoherent babblers that say nothing as they decimate America with their progressive communist democrat nonsense.]

I’m curious, do you think it’s the -- a lot of speculation is that this trouble for President Biden politically started with the chaotic withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you buy that?

HILLARY CLINTON:

I don’t think it helped. I think that is obviously the case. I think that the performance with respect to Ukraine has been excellent. And one of the smartest things that has been done was releasing classified intelligence to prevent the false-flag kinds of operations that Putin was counting on. And also, let’s remember, Putin has been quite effective in impacting public opinion, particularly in the last decade or so, both in the United States and in Europe. And this was largely stymied by releasing that intelligence. So, I think a lot of lessons have been learned. But there is a lot of good accomplishments to be putting up on the board, and the Democrats in office and out need to be doing a better job of making the case. And, frankly, standing up to the other side with their craziness and their calls for impunity and nuttiness that we hear coming from them, I don’t think the average American, frankly, wants to be governed by people who live in a totally different reality.

[OCS: Ironic that Clinton would use the term "reality" in connection with the Democrat Party. The reality is that the ONLY Democrat talking point is based on projection – accusing their opposition of doing what they did; praying that their lies, distortions, and misdirection are supported by the progressive communist democrat propagandists in the media. Or that the tech tyrants will censor the truth and continue to cancel the accounts of dissidents and disbelievers.]
