TWELVE REASONS WHY A SIMPLE GOP VOTING MAJORITY IN THE SENATE IS NOT THE ANSWER

Once again, we find that there are no Republicans in the Democrat Party, but there are Democrats in the Republican Party.

These twelve Republicans voted to pass the radical Democrat "Respect for Marriage Act (H.R. 8404) which usurps states' rights to provide statutory authority for same-sex and interracial marriages while repealing provisions that define marriage as between a man and a woman. Overlooking the fact that defining other martial options as civil unions left the age-old sanctity of the word marriage.

Is this pandering to a wealthy, politically-connected voting block,  virtue signaling, of a reaffirmation of the same-sex status quo? Or, is it the beginning of an attack on religious rights -- creating a hostile atmosphere for those institutions and individuals who believe that marriage is the traditional union of a man and woman?

How many bakers will have to forfeit their religious rights to legally recognize something they do not believe or support -- under penalty of law? What happened to the U.S. Constitution that demands equal treatment "under the law," no more, no less? 

Are we looking at communism with its stated aim of marginalizing and oppressing people of faith? Persecuting those who believe in marriage as society has defined it for ages?

Bottom line…

This is a bad bill...

  • You cannot have respect for marriage while defiling the concept by fundamentally changing its definition.
  • You cannot promote a healthy population if you defile the concept of the traditional nuclear family.
  • You cannot overcome destructive demographics by encouraging non-reproductive sex or aberrant lifestyles.
  • As a cheap political trick, the Democrats included interracial marriage to allow them to condemn anyone who opposed the bill as a racist. 
  • Birth control and abortion severed the connection between sex and the family.
  • Welfare severed the connection between a Father being responsible for their family and delegated that responsibility to the government.
  • Cohabitation and no-fault divorce killed the idea of marriage permanency for the benefit of children until the age of majority.
  • Declining fertility rates and the overall birth rate is now being described as a disaster but appear to be the outcome of the Marxist destruction of the nuclear family and the rise of the state as the guiding force of all parenthood. 
  • And, if you are paying attention, you will see abortion described in terms of the Marxist class struggle and a fundamental right. Especially if you are a communist like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. 

Against the progressive communist democrat destruction of the American nuclear family, there is Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer claiming we have to grant citizenship to tens of millions of foreign individuals who have healthy birth rates to continue societal growth. Many of these individuals are unfamiliar with American values and the duties of citizenship while maintaining allegiance to their former oppressive nation or culture. 

While there are legislative and procedural advantages to having a Senate majority, unless the GOP can muster an overwhelming majority in 2024, many Senators will continue to jump the aisle with impunity to further the progressive communist democrat agenda.

Pelosi steps down as House Speaker…

Speaking before the House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced, “For me, the hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic Caucus that I so deeply respect, and I’m grateful that so many are ready and willing to shoulder this awesome responsibility,”

However, Pelosi, 82, will not be leaving Congress as she apparently plans to move behind the scenes as an éminence grise, a powerful adviser or decision maker who operates secretly or unofficially. Pelosi will continue to represent her congressional district in San Francisco, a position she has held since 1987.

Screwed…

There is no doubt that the United States is in economic decline and being overrun with illegal immigrants and criminals. Our nation is disrespected and mocked by our enemies and allies as weak, impotent, and leaderless --and, in a word, screwed.

While we all looked to the 2022 mid-term election as the beginning of a reformation to reestablish our constitutional sovereignty, economic growth, military readiness, and respect worldwide, there is substantial doubt if our present leadership can deliver results

All we hear is shop-worn political platitudes, focus-group-tested sound bites, and talk of plans, priorities, and contracts between politicians and those they purport to represent.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy have been obscure and obtuse -- reluctant to commit to a definitive statement describing a course of action they would pursue upon a 2022 mid-term victory.

However, some 2024 presidential hopefuls continue to release multi-point policy prescriptions surrounding intentionally vague talking points.

The path?

As we saw with both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the political strategy of both parties is split between focusing on its accomplishments and dissatisfaction with the incumbent.

However, the real fight is between the various party factions and agenda-driven major contributors. Where the division between establishment big-business corporate interests and the constitutional conservatives can result in the loss of the 2024 presidential election.

As we saw previously, the Tea Party gave the House, Senate, and Presidency to the GOP. Leadership beholden to the big-business corporate interests and whose subsequent performance led to the election of an anti-America, anti-Semitic, anti-white Barack Hussein Obama. A progressive communist democrat who set the stage for deep-state subversion and the continuing attempt to destroy America from within.

Who to watch...

Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, who represents the establishment.

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, whose attention is on survival.

The thirteen or so RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) in the Senate (Romney, Collins, Murkowski, and Graham come immediately to mind) who subvert the majority vote to jump the aisle to vote with the opposition.

McAllen, Texas (CNN) -- House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy is vowing to secure the border, cut back on government spending and launch rigorous investigations into the Biden administration if Republicans win the House on Tuesday, reflecting a mix of priorities as McCarthy will be forced to contend with an increasingly hardline and pro-Trump conference that is itching to impeach President Joe Biden.

In an exclusive, wide-ranging interview with CNN, two days before the midterm elections, McCarthy outlined his plans for power, which includes tackling inflation, rising crime and border security – three issues that have become central to Republicans’ closing pitch to voters. To hammer home that message, McCarthy – who has been barnstorming the country in the run-up to the midterms – rallied here on Sunday for a trio of Hispanic GOP women who are vying to represent key districts along the southern border, a key part of the party’s strategy for winning the majority.

“The first thing you’ll see is a bill to control the border first,” McCarthy told CNN, when asked for specifics about his party’s immigration plans. “You’ve got to get control over the border. You’ve had almost 2 million people just this year alone coming across.”

But McCarthy also highlighted oversight and investigations as a key priority for a GOP-led House, listing potential probes into the chaotic Afghanistan pullout, the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic and how the administration has dealt with parents and school board meetings. And he left the door open to launching eventual impeachment proceedings, which some of his members have already begun to call for.<Source>

Bottom line…

Will the new GOP be mired in the past with the stolen 2020 election and all the wrongdoing of the previous bad actions from Benghazi to January 6th, or will they give the customary progressive communist democrat answer, “forget and move on?”

Will the GOP continue to follow Mitt Romney's niece, Ronna Romney McDaniel, as the head of the RNC (Republican National Committee) who presided over the 2022 mid-term debacle?

With the GOP, one never knows what they will do --  as they have squandered numerous opportunities to do the right thing for the nation as they opted for expediency, optics, or old-fashioned horsetrading.

The key is to ensure leadership with a clear vision and the guts to execute the plan.

Otherwise, we continue to be screwed.

SOMETHINK STINKS: SPECIAL COUNSEL APPOINTED TO INVESTIGATE DONALD TRUMP

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland announced the appointment of former career Justice Department prosecutor and former chief prosecutor for the special court in The Hague, Jack Smith, to serve as Special Counsel to oversee two ongoing criminal investigations.

The first is the investigation, as described in court filings in the District of Columbia, into whether any person or entity unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election or the certification of the Electoral College vote held on or about January 6, 2021.

The second is the ongoing investigation involving classified documents and other presidential records, as well as the possible obstruction of that investigation, referenced and described in court filings submitted in a pending matter in the Southern District of Florida.

“Based on recent developments, including the former President’s announcement that he is a candidate for President in the next election, and the sitting President’s stated intention to be a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel,” said Attorney General Garland. “Such an appointment underscores the Department’s commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters. It also allows prosecutors and agents to continue their work expeditiously, and to make decisions indisputably guided only by the facts and the law.”

The Attorney General also stated, “Although the Special Counsel will not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the Department, he must comply with the regulations, procedures, and policies of the Department. I will ensure that the Special Counsel receives the resources to conduct this work quickly and completely. Given the work done to date and Mr. Smith’s prosecutorial experience, I am confident that this appointment will not slow the completion of these investigations. The men and women who are pursuing these investigations are conducting themselves in accordance with the highest standards of professionalism. I could not be prouder of them. I strongly believe that the normal processes of this Department can handle all investigations with integrity. And I also believe that appointing a Special Counsel at this time is the right thing to do. The extraordinary circumstances presented here demand it. Mr. Smith is the right choice to complete these matters in an even-handed and urgent manner.” <Source>

My thoughts…

(1)  The Presidential Records Act is an administrative act without criminal consequences. To criminalize the matter is to use the process as a punishment and a distraction that will negatively impact all involved, especially since they will have to hire expensive representation.

(2)  As we have seen with the prolonged investigation of electoral procedures by the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack, the Committee refused to investigate the negligence of the top-ranking congressional officials who failed to protect the capitol complex, investigate the abuse of force complaint surrounding the death of Ashley Babbitt, the existence of prior knowledge of the threat, or examine the possibility of a staged false flag operation by the FBI – similar to a pattern and practice of the Bureau.

(3)  It appears that the primary reason for the Special Counsel is to deny any House or Senate Committee with a GOP Chair and majority representation from accessing government records by claiming there is an active ongoing investigation in progress. Further delaying the proceedings beyond the statute of limitations where individuals could be held criminally liable for their actions.

(4)  It appears that the secondary reason for the Special Counsel is to disadvantage Donald Trump and any potential mega-donors in the upcoming 2024 presidential cycle.

(5)  As for Attorney General Merrick Garland’s assertion that he strongly believes that the normal processes of the Department of Justice can handle all investigations with integrity, I call bullshit! One need only look at the DOJ’s misconduct in prosecuting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the mishandling of classified State Department Documents, the failure of the Department of Justice to investigate high crimes and misdemeanors associated with selling access to the Office of the Vice President and President, the internal corruption within the Department of Justice concerning the bogus Trump/Russia hoax, the investigation of the alleged DNC leak and the murder of Seth Rich, and the abject corruption of the last Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Bottom line…

It appears that Donald Trump is the most investigated political candidate of all time, with the Democrats stepping over the line into criminal behavior to keep Trump from office and then interfering with the procedures of Trump’s Administration.

We are well and truly screwed by corruption at all levels of our government.

WHO ELECTED GENERAL MARK MILLEY AND WHY IS HE TALKING PUBLICLY ABOUT POLICY?

I am unaware of any duty of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that requires public comment on substantive policy issues…

General Mark Milley should have been court-martialed for conduct unbecoming at the very least and probably treason when he took it upon himself to contact the enemy and subvert the powers of his Commander-in-Chief.

During multiple secret phone calls, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley promised China’s top general that he would warn the communist nation of an impending attack from the United States, according to a new book by journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.

According to excerpts first revealed Tuesday from the forthcoming book entitled “Peril,” as reported by the Washington Post, the first phone call took place on Oct. 30, 2020, just four days before the presidential election between then-President Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The second call took place on Jan. 8, 2021, two days after the storming of the United States Capitol.

“General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay,” Milley told the People’s Liberation Army general. “We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.”

“General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time,” Milley added. “It’s not going to be a surprise.”

According to the authors, Li trusted Milley enough to take him at his word after the first call, but was more resistant in the second call.

“We are 100 percent steady. Everything’s fine,” Milley assured the Chinese general. “But democracy can be sloppy sometimes.” <Source>

The Pentagon’s top general said China should carefully consider how poorly Russia is faring so far in its military operation against Ukraine as it contemplates any amphibious assault on Taiwan.

“War on paper is a whole lot different than real war,” Gen. Milley told reporters at the Pentagon. “When blood is spilled and people die and real tanks are being blown up, things are a little bit different.”

He noted that China hasn’t faced an enemy on the battlefield since the Sino-Vietnamese War of 1979. Beijing would be playing “a very dangerous game” if it attempts a crossing of the Taiwan Strait, Gen. Milley said. “They don’t have the experience [or] the background to do it. They haven’t trained to [do] it yet,” he said.

[OCS: Typically, politicians and diplomats are the ones to issue warnings, not active duty generals playing to the media – which changes the tone and nature of the remarks.] 

China had a largely infantry-based army with few heavy combat tanks in its inventory when Gen. Milley was commissioned in 1980.

“And then they got rich,” he said, adding that Beijing’s explosive economic growth in recent years has allowed China to “buy a military.”

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently reaffirmed that Beijing preferred the “peaceful reunification” of Taiwan but explicitly refused to rule out military action.

“They believe that it’s their day in the sun. They believe it’s, once again, time for the ‘Middle Kingdom’ to be No. 1,” Gen. Milley said. “That’s what they’re shooting for, and we are not going to allow that to happen.”

Even as it continues to pour billions of dollars of security assistance into Ukraine, Gen. Milley acknowledged that the U.S. considers China the nation’s pacing threat. Beijing is the one country in the world that has the diplomatic, military and economic power to pose a significant challenge to the United States.

Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs “Toria” Nuland was the “mastermind” behind the Feb. 22, 2014 “regime change” in Ukraine, plotting the overthrow of the democratically elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych while convincing the ever-gullible U.S. mainstream media that the coup wasn’t really a coup but a victory for “democracy.” <Source>

We see billions of dollars unaccountably wash through Ukraine – and as we have allegedly seen, some $40 million being diverted back to the Democrat Party through the bankrupt FTX scam.]

China has also stepped up military exercises around Taiwan, in part to protest the recent visit to the island by Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in August, the highest-ranking U.S. official to travel to Taipei in a quarter-century.

“China is not shy about their goal. They want to be equal to or superior militarily to the United States,” Gen. Milley said. “They’re working on that very, very hard.”

While an amphibious assault might be beyond China’s military abilities in the near term, Beijing is capable of dropping bombs and launching missiles at Taiwan, Gen. Milley said.

“Attacking and seizing the island of Taiwan across the straits, putting troops on the island of Taiwan, that is a very difficult military task to do,” he said. “I think it’ll be some time before the Chinese have the military capability and they’re ready to do it.”

[OCS: For a “face-conscious nation like China, comments such as these can be interpreted as provocative challenges that may trigger some display or demonstration of force. Possibly, a near-kinetic action in the disputed waters of the South China Sea near China’s artificial islands? Or additional challenge sorties by an enemy air force testing the limits of Taiwan’s ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone), potentially leading to an accident? Or, on the other hand, possibly inspiring overconfidence in the situation, which may lead to a lack of readiness to respond to provocative actions?]

Bottom line...

Ever since Russia funded the “no nuke” movement during the cold war, the progressive communist democrats have steadily weakened America through military budget cuts, refusal to upgrade existing weapons systems, and a selective purge of flag-level leaders who prioritized warfighting over the social engineering that weakens good order, discipline, and morale.

As time went on, we sacrificed effective weaponry with precision-guided munitions that cost millions to kill tens of soldiers. The goal was not to defeat our enemies and force a diplomatic solution but to manage the media and battlefield optics. Our rules of engagement appear to favor our enemies rather than our soldiers.

Now we are seeing a new hybrid, that of a soldier-politician who does not restrict their activities to rendering advice to the politicians but interjects themselves into policy disputes in the media. One wonders if they are preparing to fight the war in the media or capable of fighting on the battlefield.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced that its New York Innovation Center (NYIC) will participate in a proof-of-concept project to explore the feasibility of an interoperable network of central bank wholesale digital money and commercial bank digital money operating on a shared multi-entity distributed ledger.

This U.S. proof-of-concept project is experimenting with the concept of a regulated liability network. It will test the technical feasibility, legal viability, and business applicability of distributed ledger technology to settle the liabilities of regulated financial institutions through the transfer of central bank liabilities.

“The NYIC looks forward to collaborating with members of the banking community to advance research on asset tokenization and the future of financial market infrastructures in the U.S. as money and banking evolve,” said Per von Zelowitz, Director of the New York Innovation Center.

As part of this 12-week project, the NYIC will collaborate with a group of private sector organizations to provide a public contribution to the body of knowledge on the application of new technology to the regulated financial system.

This project will be conducted in a test environment and only use simulated data. It is not intended to advance any specific policy outcome, nor is it intended to signal that the Federal Reserve will make any imminent decisions about the appropriateness of issuing a retail or wholesale CBDC, nor how one would necessarily be designed. The findings of the pilot project will be released after it concludes.

At least to me, it is not inconceivable that the elites are materially weakening the United States from within to cement their position of dominance for the coming generations.

Promoted by a generation of individuals bereft of humanity, decency, and morality -- a generation that accepts that which appears on their electronic devices over what they might experience if they got off their snowflake asses.

They have destroyed our economy by ignoring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of fossil fuels for the specious unattainable promises of unreliable, unsustainable, and costly so-called green alternatives like solar and wind power. Shunning the environmental benefits of nuclear energy based on what is basically cold war propaganda.

Now they are coming for the lifeblood of our economy, the payments system.

LET THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION SH*T SHOW BEGIN

As we have seen from the 2022 mid-term election, the GOP once again snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

The fundamental flaws of the ineffective GOP effort go beyond the failure of particular congressional leaders, fundraising, funds allocation, candidate quality, intra-party battles between the establishment and conservatives, and the lack of messaging. All were tactically important but failed to address the strategic issue of election dynamics which were directly responsible for converting success into abject failure. While everybody could clearly observe corrupt Marc Elias and his band of Democrat election attorneys fighting for general mail-in balloting, curing of corrupted ballots, relaxed voter verification procedures, Gerrymandered districts, and extended voting days, the GOP did little to counter these efforts to dilute or nullify the GOP vote.

And so it begins anew…

With actual vote counts incomplete, a run-off election in Georgia, and pending certifications affecting congressional majorities, we now find an aging but still vigorous Donald Trump announcing another presidential run. His boorishness, baggage, managerial laziness, and lack of discipline are still unabated. A candidate who is a crazy-maker, pitting factions against each other while ignoring the hard work of vetting subordinates and replacing those embedded bureaucrats who can easily subvert his initiatives by losing or slow-walking paper through the system. The Democrats have already publicly poisoned the well of potential appointees, thus eliminating the top tier of prospects who are not willing to risk reputational damage to serve in a Trump administration.

About that agenda…

It must be acknowledged that Trump delivered on most of his campaign promises despite a never-ending attack from both within and without. He was hampered by bogus impeachment charges that were clearly politically motivated and lacked Constitutional rigor. Subverted by a faceless resistance of Obama acolytes buried deep in his administration – and within the Office of the Presidency. The Godfather-like loyalty Trump demanded was an office joke as his own top-level advisors ignored him. Significant initiatives were spearheaded by his liberal Democrat son-in-law with no political experience who was not above political infighting and taking credit for the long-term efforts of those he abandoned because they challenged his authority.

We have heard the promises before about immigration, economy, energy, and fighting crime, All requiring the efforts of a hostile progressive communist democrat faction in Congress. All require honest federal judges with a propensity to overrule even commonsense legislation. All require a long-term effort not afforded by Executive Orders, which typify an end-run around Congress and the Constitution.

We are already seeing spinning surrogates and talking-head advisors like former Democrat strategist/operative Dick Morris described as a “longtime Trump family friend and informal adviser to the ex-president.” Speaking of Dick Morris, with two years left in his Presidency, it is likely that President Biden’s handlers – the radical cadre of Obama acolytes – may “triangulate” any GOP agenda and assume those issues as their own in the run-up to 2024. Since the progressive communist democrats will do anything to maintain or gain power, it is not unlikely that they may adopt Morris’s triangulation scheme that helped Bill Clinton to win the Presidency.

Competition…

The most virulent competition comes not from the progressive communist democrats, but from the establishment wing of the GOP that wants the Washington dung hill to remain profitable for their self-interests -- screw the interests of the nation and the American people.  

The most robust competition to date for the GOP presidential candidate is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a plain-talking man of accomplishment who has no fear of the media. Running far, far behind is the usual gaggle: former Vice President Mike Pence, Governor Glenn Youngkin, Senator Tim Scott, Senator Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, Governor Chris Sununu, and Senator Rick Scott.

The response to Trump's announcement...

Immediately at the conclusion of Trump's speech, I got an email from the lying, leaker Bolshevik of Burbank, Adam Schiff.

Stephen, Donald Trump just officially announced his 2024 campaign for president.

Our democracy has never been more vulnerable than it is right now, and the next two years will be nothing less than an existential fight for the future of the great American experiment in self-governance.

Bottom line…

Regardless of who the GOP candidate might be, unless state legislatures remedy the structural deficiencies in our election systems, more uncertainty and unreliability will affect our elections.

Let us hope that the GOP candidates do not destroy themselves, as they have in the past, during the primary and leave the progressive communist democrats to sweep away the pieces and ride to victory.

Let us pray that the discipline demonstrated in Trump’s announcement continues and he can deliver on his promises. Unfortunately, during the speech, Trump devolved into his past grievances.

EMAIL SCAM GOES OLD SCHOOL USING SNAIL MAIL

SCAM ALERT

I was very much surprised to find a letter with a Canadian postal indicia and no return address in yesterday's mail...

But I was shocked that someone made a significant investment to repurpose an email phishing scam and go old school to use the U.S. Postal Service to provide a degree of legitimacy that is not found in random emails. 

Also surprising, it took me less than 30-seconds to create a replica of the postal indicia on the letter using a handy tool from Canada Post.

My name is XXX. I am a chartered accountant officer with a financial institution in Canada. I must solicit your confidence in this matter as this is, by virtue of its nature, utterly confidential. My late client, Mr. XXX, passed away in 2010 and I have been actively searching for his next of kin ever since. Recently I attended a 3 day conference in Los Angeles, California where I received your contact from one of the coordinators.

There is an unclaimed "10 year fixed universal life insurance policy" with a value of 11.8M USD with our financial institution, which is due since 2019 for payout to a beneficiary. The policyholder was Mr. XXX. Mr. XXX worked with an Energy Company in Alberta Canada before the unfortunate accident that took his life. He died leaving no will and he did not provide a next of kin to either me or the financial institution. While it is hard to believe anyone would fall for this blatant scam, there are confused or desperate senior citizens who routinely set aside commonsense to provide perpetrators with their non-public personal information -- including access to their financial accounts. Even worse, they may be required to show "good faith" by sending money directly to the criminal. And they are all cautioned to keep the matter secret -- especially from their friends and family.

Bottom line...

Forewarned is forearmed. If you know a senior citizen at risk, talk with them or their caretakers.

As for legal remedies, there are few, and the majority of stolen funds are never recovered. Turning this letter over to the FBI or U.S. Postal Inspectors means little as they have no jurisdiction over frauds originating outside our country, or the fraud has to be massive or media-exploitable to attract their attention.

Is the GOP doomed to repeat the 2022 failure?

To quote the late great baseball star Yogi Berra, “It’s Déjà vu all over again.”

The campaign consultants and surrogates are coming out of the woodwork with their post-campaign analysis and excuses while conducting an on-air interview for their next gig. Of course, they have only two fundamental messages: hide the details and hate the opposition candidate OR point to opposition failures and demand change. Leave those pesky details to whitepapers and campaign websites.

Once again. It appears that the 2024 election will be all about Trump. This time the message is “Ron DeSantis, the candidate with substance and discipline -- without Trump’s boorishness and baggage.”

What does the GOP stand for?

I know all the basic bullshit: family values, an improved economy, lower taxes, smaller government, border control, and more domestic jobs. Yada. Yada. Yada.  But what are you going to do about it?

In the past, the conservatives have given the GOP the House, Senate, and Presidency – and they were squandered by establishment Republicans who voted more like moderate Democrats than principled conservatives.

This time, show us the legislation – the actual bill in understandable language before we vote, preferably on a single subject and not more than ten pages with no references to other legislation unless it is being repealed.

DONALD TRUMP'S PROVERBIAL ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

While President Donald J. Trump may have earned our boundless appreciation for his numerous record-setting accomplishments while in office and fighting against almost unthinkable obstacles, that does not mean he should receive uncritical support for another term as President of the United States. Or Americans need to tolerate his ego-driven, boorish, transactional, and self-dealing nature in the future? Or that he ran the Office of the Presidency much like he ran the Trump Organization — in a haphazard, chaotic, and opaque manner.

Trump’s own Hunter Biden?

While candidate and then President Trump railed against the corruption of the Biden Crime family, including Vice President Biden’s well-documented and self-confessed quid pro quo deal in Ukraine to save his son Hunter from investigation and claims that the suppression of the material on Hunter Biden’s laptop cost him the 2020 election, there is no doubt in my mind that Trump has a similar family issue.

In particular, with the back-room political machinations and self-dealing of his son-in-law, real estate operator Jared Kushner.

As an uptown New York liberal who favored Democrats, Jared Kushner was a curse to constitutional conservatives. It was Kushner who fought against the Border Wall. Kushner who led the fight to oust Steve Bannon, a politically savvy strategist. Kushner who supported the generals, John Kelly, James Mattis, and H.R. McMaster, who worked secretly to subvert Trump’s policies because they believed they had a better grasp of the situation and the prescriptive solution. Kushner who shoved Vice President Pence aside to run the response to the Covid pandemic and deferred to Drs. Fauci and Birx. Kushner was the one that led the effort to oust Dr. Scott Atlas when he attempted to inject natural science into the Covid debate as an advisor on the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

Putting politics aside, there are open questions about Kushner using the power of the Trump presidency much in the same way that Hunter Biden allegedly sold Joe Biden’s office.

Democrats in Congress have launched an investigation into whether the bailout financing for Kushner Companies’ 666 Fifth Avenue impacted United States foreign policy.

The probe seeks to determine whether a payment in excess of $1 billion for the Kushner family’s skyscraper was connected to the lifting of a Saudi blockade of Qatar. Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Rep. Joaquin Castro of Texas requested a bevy of documents from Brookfield Asset Management, which bailed out the troubled office building in 2018, as well as pertinent ethics records from a senior White House lawyer.

“This sequence of events, especially the stunning reversal in U.S. policy towards Qatar, raises serious questions about what role Jared Kushner — and the financial interests of his family — may have played in influencing U.S. foreign policy regarding the blockade,” the lawmakers wrote.

At Jared Kushner’s behest, the firm purchased 666 Fifth Avenue in 2007 for a record-breaking $1.8 billion. It initially sought to reposition the asset, but plans to replace it with a new skyscraper that would have condos, a hotel and retail never materialized.

A decade later, the building was still 30 percent vacant, and a $1.4 billion payment on the debt was due. Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund initially rebuffed Charlie Kushner’s request to invest about a billion dollars in the property, which the lawmakers say coincided with a dramatic shift in foreign policy toward Qatar.

During a 2017 trip to the Middle East, Jared Kushner met with representatives of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to discuss a blockade of Qatar. Despite questions and concerns raised by the State Department — including from Rex Tillerson, then the Secretary of State — the controversial move was backed two weeks later by President Donald Trump, the investigation states.

More than a year later, Kushner received a $1.28 billion bailout from Brookfield, which purchased the ground lease beneath the tower and paid nearly a century of rent up front, just months before the original note came due.

Subsequently, the restrictions on Qatar were eased. A Financial Times investigation found that Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund was the second-largest stakeholder in Brookfield Property Partners, the entity that provided Kushner with the financing. <Source>

House Oversight investigating $2 billion Saudi investment in Jared Kushner’s firm
The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into a $2 billion investment by the Saudi government into a firm formed by Jared Kushner after he left the White House last year.

Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., wrote in a letter to Kushner that her committee is looking into the investment by the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, which is controlled by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, into Kushner’s firm Affinity.

The probe will focus on whether Kushner’s personal financial interests improperly impacted U.S. foreign policy while he served in the White House under his father-in-law, former President Donald Trump, Maloney wrote in the letter.

She noted that Kushner created his investment firm the day after Trump left the White House in January 2021 and the Saudi government gave it the $2 billion six months later.

“The Committee is concerned by your decision to solicit billions of dollars from the Saudi government immediately following your significant involvement in shaping U.S.-Saudi relations,” Maloney said, adding that Kushner’s close relationship with the crown prince as well as his pro-Saudi positions during the Trump administration and the Saudi government’s funding “create the appearance of a quid pro quo for your foreign policy work during the Trump Administration.” <Source>

While nobody is accusing Jared Kushner of wrongdoing, that does not mean that his backstory cannot be used as another distraction technique by the progressive communist democrats to attack another Trump candidacy rather than be held responsible for their weakening of America and the destruction of our economy.

I have second thoughts about returning Donald Trump or any establishment Democrat to office…

During the closing days of the 2022 mid-terms, Trump continually disparaged GOP candidates or made it all about his upcoming presidential run. On the financial side, Trump refused to share his $100 million war chest with fellow candidates. Like his business dealings, he thought his overvalued name and attention were enough of a contribution.

Why would we select a candidate with a 33% fan base and ignore the 66% who either hate Trump or regard him as a clownish non-entity?

Why would we listen to the Bushies, the Romneys, and the Roves to return to Country Club Republicanism, where politicians engage in wining, dining, and pocket-lining?

Why would we select a mercurial candidate whose reckless regard for anything not benefitting Trump is a pattern and practice that cannot be tolerated in a fight to restore our core values?

Bottom line…

It’s about our country, not Trump or his obsession with the stolen 2022 election that can never be constitutionally or legally remedied. We can only move forward while holding those in both parties responsible for their criminal wrongdoing.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will support the GOP candidate over any Democrat, but I believe it is our civic duty as Americans to select the best and most viable candidate.

BEYOND THE PALE: PROGRESSIVE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS SMEAR SITTING GOVERNOR, PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL

I find it abhorrent that any commercially produced, distributed, and exhibited feature would attempt to falsely smear a sitting politician on admittedly bogus sexual charges, let alone an upcoming presidential candidate.

Some defamatory and damaging things cannot be hidden behind a label of comedy or creative content and need to be addressed in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Bottom line…

While most politicians are disgusting reprobates, and there is wide latitude for artistic expression in entertainment, inserting an existing public official into a fictional creation as a sex offender prior to an election is beyond the pale.

Taken to an extreme, there would be no heinous and damaging allegation that could not be made public prior to an election in the name of artistic expression. Since progressive communist democrats and their sympathizers control Hollywood, we are putting a potent weapon into the hands of the communists.
