TODAY'S RANT
With less than two weeks to the 2022 mid-term election, I am growing apprehensive that the normal and customary idiocy, backstabbing, and self-serving nature of Republicans might, once again, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This against the background overlay of the progressive communist democrats trying to manipulate the system to bring about another 2022 staged electoral "upset."
Not to mention the reelection of GOP candidates who are secret progressive communist democrats.
If that's not enough to think about, here are today's rants.
Phishing attempts are not always obvious...
It appears that a number of spurious or obnoxious emails have a prominent "unsubscribe" link that may be dangerous.

California craziness…
Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Dahle was gaslighted by California's playboy governor, Gavin Newsom, as Newsom eyes the 2024 presidential race in a field of lame democrats.
Want to stifle a serious Republican challenge to a progressive communist democrat playboy politician like California Governor Gavin Newsom? Especially one that might be seen by sane people outside the Republik of California?
Demand that the discussion will be limited to a single debate, after the start of mail balloting. And, host the debate on an obscure San Francisco-based public station, KQED, known to be a progressive propaganda mill, stage the broadcast on a Sunday, just after lunch at one o'clock p.m., and make sure that it was held in NFL football primetime.
The progressive communist democrats on Newsom's team refused a number of media requests to hold the debate on network television during a time when an audience might actually watch. However, KQED filmed the event for social media, and it can be found on KQED's website. Topics discussed include reproductive rights, soaring gas prices, homelessness, crime, and finding common ground.
Watch it for yourself and see that Newsom wants to Californicate the nation to impose San Francisco values on every other state.
Is this the end of a casual afternoon date over burgers, fries, and a malt?
Fast-Food Law Could Lead to Massive Wage Hikes, Spiraling Inflation in California and Beyond
Assembly Bill 257, the Fast Food Accountability and Standards Recovery Act, or FAST Act, narrowly approved by the California legislature on August 29, 2022, and signed by Governor Gavin Newsom on Labor Day, allows for the creation of a new, ten-member, unelected Fast Food Council specifically to micromanage the state’s fast-food industry. The council would have broad powers to impose new rules and regulations on thousands of fast-food and counter-service restaurants, including the ability to raise the minimum wage at most of California’s fast-food restaurants next year from $15 to $22 an hour — a nearly 50 percent jump, with cost-of-living adjustments each year after that.
The FAST Act threatens to fast-track even more burdensome regulations and an large mandatory wage increase on the industry, and to upend franchise business models across the Golden State and possibly beyond. The measure, the latest in a long string of far-left policies implemented in the state, will make it harder for entrepreneurial Californians to buy and grow their own fast-food businesses. But its impacts will likely be felt in industries that have no connection to fast food.
The measure, created by progressive communist democrat front group SEIU (Service Employees International Union), is an attempt to unionize the fast food industry. The very same union trying to force burdensome expenses on dialysis centers as they attempt to unionize the healthcare delivery system.
It appears that the day of teenage after-school employment and entry-level positions are now being eliminated -- along with other connected jobs. For the curious, the move is union driven to attract their new illegal alien constituency and appears to be targeted at providing a living wage for unskilled casual labor with a family of four.
An insight into Trump...
There is no doubt that former President Trump is a transactional, ego-driven narcissist whose sole objective is to do what is best for Donald J. Trump first and foremost. Perhaps this is best illustrated by his recent comments.
Trump Suggests He’ll Run in 2024, Says Pence Bid Would Be ‘Very Disloyal’
Former President Trump announced Saturday that he would “probably” have to run for president again, setting up a possible matchup between him and President Joe Biden for 2024, while declaring that former Trump administration officials who make a White House bid would be “very disloyal.”
During a rally in Robstown, Texas, Trump told a crowd: “I ran twice. I won twice. I did much better the second time than I did before.”
“And now, in order to make our country successful, safe and glorious again, I will probably have to do it again,” he added during the rally, which was being held for candidates in the Lone Star State. As soon as he made that statement, the crowd cheered and indicated they wanted Trump to run again.
Two days before the rally, Trump also weighed in on if former Vice President Mike Pence or other cabinet members run for president. Former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley have also signaled they might run for president.
“Many of them have said they would never run if I run, so we’ll see whether or not that turns out to be true,” the former president told Fox News on Oct. 20. “I think it would be very disloyal if they did,” Trump added. <Source>
While Trump's first term in office proved to be extremely beneficial for the nation and secured his place in history, I cannot help but believe that Trump's ego-driven hubris might result in an over-the-top series of impulsive, boastful threats and challenges to our allies and enemies.
As for the subject of loyalty, the candidates should be loyal to our nation, its constitution, and all Americans -- not to a single person who values a telegenic, well-spoken, or rich candidate above actual competence and the ability to get the job done.
I do not know how many competent individuals might risk reputational damage to serve in another Trump administration, but I know it is not nearly enough to replace the deeply-embedded Obama acolytes waiting to sabotage the next administration -- and, thereby, the nation.
My vote for president at the present time would be for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Bottom line...
We are screwed.
