DEMOCRATIC DEPRESSIVE DISEASE IS REAL

AnxietyToday’s email brought a message from UCLA Health on additional mental health screening for adults…

Dep-scr

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), self-described as an independent, volunteer panel of national experts in disease prevention and evidence-based medicine, has issued guidance on screening adults ages 18 to 64 years for anxiety — including people who are pregnant or postpartum.

The USPSTF found insufficient evidence to recommend for or against screening for anxiety in adults aged 65 and older. This recommendation only applies to people without recognized signs or symptoms of anxiety. More details can be found on the USPSTF website.

Like most non-governmental agencies whose “experts” inform government policies, they have a caveat. “Recommendations made by the USPSTF are independent of the U.S. government. They should not be construed as an official position of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”

Perhaps the reason that senior citizens are excluded from anxiety is that they are old enough to have been educated at a time when history, civics, and critical thinking was still taught by educational institutions and have well-developed bullshit detectors. They were educated instead of indoctrinated, most have a record of accomplishment, and resist the notion that some malevolent political force can simply label them “victims” of the system to excuse their faults.

Take your own anxiety test…

Instructions: Thinking back over the last two weeks, how often have you been bothered by the following seven problems? (As you answer each one of these questions, assign 0 points for “not at all,” 1 point for “several days,” 2 points for “more than half the days,” and 3-points for “nearly every day.”)

  1. Feeling nervous, anxious, or on edge? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  2. Not being able to stop or control worrying? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  3. Worrying too much about different things?(0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  4. Trouble relaxing? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  5. Being so restless that it is hard to sit still? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  6. Becoming easily annoyed or irritable? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)
  7. Feeling afraid as if something awful might happen? (0, 1, 2, 3 points)

Total: ___________

Scoring…

5 – 9 Mild anxiety
10 – 14 Moderate anxiety
15 – 21 Severe anxiety

The question that is not being asked…

How many of your feelings are linked to non-health, political issues involving the consequences of political policies?

Suck it up…

The progressive communist democrats are all about creating victims – using victimhood to disguise and excuse an individual’s lack of achievement, often adopting bizarre, pseudo-cultural-based naming, dressing, and language to further divide certain individuals from the mainstream population.

As President Joe Biden often says, “Seriously. No Joke,” before he lies…

Joe Biden: Liar-in-chief

Earlier this month, when Mr. Biden announced he was going to further drain the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve in a cynical move to cut pump prices and buy votes, he stated: “My administration has not stopped or slowed U.S. oil production; quite the opposite. We’re producing 12 million barrels of oil per day.”

Twelve million barrels may sound impressive, but in early 2020, under Mr. Trump, the U.S. was producing 13 million barrels a day. So Mr. Biden’s administration, which has canceled oil and gas pipelines, slow-walked leases and permits, and stopped all new drilling on federal lands — has indeed slowed U.S. oil production.

Moreover, economists from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity estimate that if Mr. Trump’s energy policies had been left in place, the U.S. would be pumping as much as 3 million more barrels of oil a day and 25 billion more cubic feet of natural gas than is the case today.

In the same speech, Mr. Biden took credit for gasoline prices falling from their summertime peaks, failing to mention they’re still over 60% higher than when he took office. Instead of encouraging American energy production (remember his “guarantee” on the campaign trail to “end fossil fuel”?), he’s been robbing supply from the SPR to prices (temporarily) down.

As a side note, in March 2020, Mr. Trump wanted to stabilize the oil industry after COVID-19 hit and proposed filling up the SPR when oil was at $24 a barrel. Democrats labeled the move a “bailout for Big Oil,” and blocked the proposal.

Mr. Biden said he would look to refill his depletions when oil prices are $67 to $72 a barrel. On Monday, The Wall Street Journal reported those “hoped for” prices won’t happen anytime soon, in large part owing to Mr. Biden’s war on fossil fuel. And there is talk that more withdrawals from the SPR may be imminent.

In other lies, cries, and distortions, Mr. Biden took a victory lap last week over how his team “reduced” the annual federal deficit by $1.4 trillion, the “largest one-year drop in American history.”

He failed to mention that that was achieved only because government COVID-19 recovery spending has stopped, despite his administration’s efforts to keep the spending taps open. He essentially boasted how his federal government is sinking the U.S. in ever more red ink, just at a slower pace.

The U.S. gross national debt topped $31 trillion earlier this month — a record high. Since Mr. Biden took office, he has approved new spending that has fueled a $5 trillion rise in the deficit. As the Federal Reserve continues to increase interest rates, this debt will become increasingly more expensive for American taxpayers to pay down. <Source>

What I have learned…

(1)  You cannot trust the government as they are the major source of the very disinformation they condemn.

(2)  You cannot trust the media as they are little more than regime propagandists.

(3)  You can trust your wallet and financial statements.

(4)  You will not find any Republicans in the misnamed Democratic Party, but you will find Democrats in the Republican Party.

(5)  The Republicans may not be able to fix everything immediately, but they are not the proximate cause of the grievous problems facing the nation today.

(6)  When faced with two political evils, hold your nose and vote for the lesser of the two – knowing both are evil.

Bottom line…

It is hard not to be anxious when you are afraid to walk down the streets, see your employment being put at risk by public policies, and see your money evaporating as prices of food and fuel skyrocket. All consequences of failed progressive communist democrat policies, both foreign and domestic.

Give me boorish behavior and mean tweets over rank incompetence, a mentally-impaired President, and a revolutionary agenda of destruction.

I am voting Republican.

We are so screwed.
