FBI Agent Canned for Political Bias Put Top Witness Against Bidens on Ice

The more we learn about the Timothy Thibault situation, the worse it looks for the FBI. As RedState originally reported, Thibault was forced out of the FBI recently for political bias, being escorted out by officials at the headquarters. He had been accused of basically burying the Hunter Biden investigation as early as 2019 in an attempt to help get Joe Biden elected president.

Chuck Ross of the Free Beacon has uncovered more, including the fact that Thibault “ran point” in the handling of Tony Bobulinksi. If you don’t remember Bobulinski, he’s the former Hunter Biden associate who alleged that “the big guy” was Joe Biden. According to this latest report, Thibault put Bobulinski, who could have brought the whole corrupt scheme down, on ice. <Source>

F.B.I. Found 48 Empty Folders That Had Contained Classified Documents at Trump’s Home

A detailed inventory of items seized in the F.B.I.’s search of Mar-a-Lago raised the question of whether the government had fully recovered the documents or any remained missing.

The F.B.I.’s search of former President Donald J. Trump’s Florida club and residence last month turned up 48 empty folders marked as containing classified information, a newly disclosed court filing shows, raising the question of whether the government had fully recovered the documents or any remain missing.

The filing, a detailed list of items retrieved in the search, was unsealed on Friday as part of the court fight over whether to appoint an independent arbiter to review the materials taken by federal agents when they descended on Mr. Trump’s estate, Mar-a-Lago, on Aug. 8.

Along with the empty folders with classified markings, the F.B.I. discovered 40 more empty folders that said they contained sensitive documents the user should “return to staff secretary/military aide,” according to the inventory. It also said that agents found seven documents marked as “top secret” in Mr. Trump’s office and 11 more in a storage room. <Source>

[OCS: There is no proof that Trump handled the documents in question as his staff usually summarized most of what Trump “read” and the documents themselves could have been returned without the folder. “Sound and fury signifying nothing.”]

Thousands of Xcel customers locked out of thermostats during 'energy emergency'

22,000 people lost control of temperatures in their homes for hours Tuesday.

During the dog days of summer, it's important to keep your home cool. But when thousands of Xcel customers in Colorado tried adjusting their thermostats Tuesday, they learned they had no control over the temperatures in their own homes.

Xcel confirmed to Contact Denver7 that 22,000 customers who had signed up for the Colorado AC Rewards program were locked out of their smart thermostats for hours on Tuesday.

"It's a voluntary program. Let's remember that this is something that customers choose to be a part of based on the incentives," said Emmett Romine, vice president of customer solutions and innovation at Xcel.

Customers receive a $100 credit for enrolling in the program and $25 annually, but Romine said customers also agree to give up some control to save energy and money and make the system more reliable. <Source>

[OCS: It starts with financial incentives to encourage government-approved behavior. But do you really know the extent of the government’s intrusion and intervention when you agree to those unilateral “terms of service agreements?” Or what a household network could be revealing about your activities? And about those credits, the tab is paid by other ratepayers and the company may be “reimbursed” by government subsidies. It’s hardly free!]
