SAY WHAT? U.S. PAYING DOWN UKRAINE'S NATIONAL DEBT!
Set against the background of the notoriously dishonest $437 BILLION “Inflation Reduction Act,” which is little more than the slimmed-down version of the TRILLION dollar plus “Build Back Better Act,” we find our government is paying off part of the national debt of Ukraine.
THE UNITED STATES CONTRIBUTES $4.5 BILLION TO SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT OF UKRAINE The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, is providing an additional $4.5 billion in direct budgetary support to the Government of Ukraine to help alleviate the acute budget deficit caused by Putin’s brutal war of aggression. The Government of Ukraine will receive the funding in tranches, beginning with a $3 billion disbursement in August. [OCS: Russia now controls $12.4 trillion worth of Ukraine’s key natural resources, including rare earth metals and other minerals, according to an analysis for The Washington Post. So why not make this a loan, payable in commodity futures?] This contribution was made possible with generous bipartisan support from Congress. [OCS: Bi-partisan? Do you mean the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) who jumped the aisle in support of the progressive communist democrat agenda to destroy America from within?] These funds provided by the United States, through the World Bank, allow the Government of Ukraine to maintain essential functions to its people, including social and financial assistance to Ukrainians further pushed into poverty since the start of the war, children with disabilities, and internally displaced persons. Once these additional funds are fully disbursed, the U.S. government will have provided $8.5 billion in direct budgetary support to the Government of Ukraine. The resources provided today build on previous budget support, enabling the Ukrainian government to carry out core functions – for example, keeping gas and electricity flowing to hospitals, schools, and other critical infrastructure, supporting the provision of humanitarian supplies to citizens, and continuing to pay the salaries of civil servants, healthcare workers and teachers. Robust safeguards put in place by the World Bank, coupled with USAID-funded, expert third-party oversight embedded within the Ukrainian government, ensure accountability and transparency in the use of these funds. [OCS: This is pure and unadulterated bullshit. The idea that we can trust the systemically corrupt Ukraine government or those U.S. bureaucrats monitoring significant fund disbursements is ludicrous. Witness the billions of dollars in palletized $100 bills that disappeared in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran. The accounting systems are defective by design.] Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, USAID has been coordinating with humanitarian partners in the country and region to provide Ukrainians with lifesaving humanitarian assistance while also ramping up critical development assistance to respond to cyber-attacks and threats to the energy sector, countering disinformation, supporting small businesses and the agriculture sector, documenting human rights violations, meeting essential health needs, and ensuring the continued functioning of local, regional, and national government levels. The United States remains committed to supporting Ukraine and its people in the wake of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war. <Source> [OCS: I understand military and humanitarian aid – but not paying the salaries of Ukraine’s corrupt bureaucrats. Why should the American people pay for the maintenance and reconstruction of Ukraine? We saw how that worked out in Afghanistan.] |
Bottom line…
A little perspective – the United States is $30.6 trillion in debt, with a $2.77 trillion budget deficit in 2021; the national debt is now larger than what our entire economy produces in a year, a benchmark that economists have historically viewed as a canary in the coal mine. And it’s only getting worse under the progressive communist democrats.
There is no doubt that we, constitutional conservatives, can lose the House and Senate in 2022 if my sister and her friends ignore facts, believe the corrupt mainstream media, and refuse to believe that today’s Democrat Party is akin to the Communist Party U.S.A.
And, you may ask, why are we supporting Ukraine while there is a war raging on the other side of our Southern Border with impacts far greater to American citizens than the geopolitical game in Ukraine?
We are so screwed.
