THIS WEEKEND I WAS STRICKEN WITH A SEVERE CASE OF "WHO CARES?"

Nothing I read, watched, or listened to was free from the taint of a corrupt media seeking to misinform me and push me into accepting the malignant agenda of the progressive communist democrats.

Yellow-journalism

Yellow journalism is an American term for journalism and associated newspapers presenting little or no legitimate, well-researched news while using eye-catching headlines for increased sales. Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.

Perhaps we need to consider adding red journalism as a term used to describe dishonest media that acts as propagandists for the progressive communist democrats and seeks to turn every event into a critical emergency to seize “emergency powers” that promote big government and reduce personal freedoms.

As I considered what course of action I might take to turn down the volume of peak bullshit, I decided to share the advice of the esteemed economist/philosopher Thomas Sowell who provided a four-question bullshit filter.

Thomas Sowell’s Four Questions that will destroy most any false and/or misleading story

1. Compared to what?

2. At what cost?

3. What hard evidence do you have?

4. Who shall decide what is best?

Bottom line…

The fundamental problem with the progressive communist democrats is that they do not care about the first three questions. The fourth has only one option – everything should be decided by the government that is itself governed by enlightened, progressive communist Democrats who believe they have the education, experience, wealth, and moral right to dictate what is best for the “little people.”

We are so screwed when we care what the progressive schmucks say, do, or think, and we should concentrate our time, energy, and money, defeating their evil ideology and removing them from positions of power.

REVIEW: "THE REAL STORY OF JANUARY 6" -- EPOCH TV DOCUMENTARY

Bottom line...

I am singularly unimpressed with this rather ordinary production that does not live up to its title or advance promotion and publicity.

Like most documentaries on a controversial subject, the Epoch Times’ documentary, “The Real Story of January 6,” tells you A story, not THE story.

Running one hour and forty-two minutes end-to-end, we see video clips and interspersed commentary whose message appears to be:

(1)  There is a deliberate disconnect between what we are told and allowed to see and an equally plausible counter-narrative. The progressive mainstream media appears to be burying the truth, especially with regard to the murder of Ashli Babbitt and the protection of the identity of the U.S. Capitol Police officer, Lt. Michael Byrd, who killed her.

(2)  There was misconduct, including criminal activity, on both sides.

(3)  There appears to be an unexplained presence of unknown agitators, possibly intelligence or law enforcement plants, and official bad actors. It appears that the authorities may not be interested in many unindicted suspicious actors and unidentified material witnesses.

(4)  The riot was exacerbated by an understaffed and ill-supervised police force whose brutality and actions should be investigated as criminal matters.

(5)  Two cases involving criminally inappropriate use of force against protestors appear to be homicides that should have been investigated and the perpetrators charged.

(6)  The issue is being exploited for political gain by a partisan group of legislators inappropriately.

(7)  A real investigation is not being conducted and should be a priority in the future, especially regarding the human rights abuses perpetrated by the government on, as yet innocent, citizens being inappropriately held in pretrial detention in Washington D.C. and elsewhere -- many in horrible conditions that appear to be punitive. 

There were overly dramatic staged “hero” shots of narrator Joshua Philipp, host of “Crossroads” on Epoch TV and a senior investigative reporter at The Epoch Times.

Is it comprehensive coverage? No.
Are the interpretations correct? Maybe.
Is it worth watching? Only if you are a fanatic or deeply interested in the subject matter.
Is it worth a second viewing? No.
Conclusion: We don't know what we don't know; there must be a genuine investigation by serious non-partisan individuals.

In the final analysis, I would not pay to see this documentary streamed or as a theatrically-released short.

KAMALA HARRIS ON GUN CONTROL

Kamala Harris -- doing the work…

Addressing all her sisters and brothers with her characteristic cackle, Vice President and national embarrassment Kamala Harris spoke before the National Urban League Annual Conference.

I find it ironic that the Vice President notes, “Black People are 13% of America’s population, and I think it is 62% of homicide victims to gun violence.”

[OCS: Never once does Harris question why there is a “disparate impact,” a term favored by the progressive communist democrats, between Black criminality and their representative percentage in the population. Never once does Harris mention that most of these homicides are associated with Black-on-Black crime. Nor does Harris say that most police-involved shootings involve resisting arrest, a direct assault on a police officer, or a fleeing criminal likely to harm community members.

How loud would Harris scream if anyone suggested that you disarm Black citizens between the ages of 8 and 30 living in the inner cities to achieve meaningful crime control? Forget the Second Amendment; the progressive communist democrats do not believe in the U.S. Constitution unless it can be manipulated to serve their agenda. They would much rather bleat about gun control and disarming law-abiding citizens than speak about crime control. Please ignore the fact that they would create a larger victim pool for criminals, crazies and terrorists.] 

“And we know it is something we need to address. When I look at the failure of the United States Congress to have the courage to act, I think it is a call for all of us to demand action and demand that they have courage. When I think particularly about the issue assault weapons, you know, assault weapons, most things, whether it’s the table that you’re eating on right now the plate, you’re using the fork. Most things have an intentional design. In terms of the things that we use assault weapons were designed to kill a lot of human beings quickly. There is no reason that we have weapons of war on the streets of America.

[OCS: Ignore the “weapons of war” reference – most crimes are committed with handguns, not assault rifles. And, as for responding to a well-armed gang or mob, there is a case for fast-cycling, high-capacity weapons.]

So when I think about what we need to do to address mayor and what ultimately does so often fall on the shoulders of our mayors to address on a community level, we need to take action at the federal level in terms of passing smart gun safety laws, we need to to get rid of and repeal this liability shield for gun manufacturers. Why should they be immune from litigation? Doesn’t mean that a court will necessarily decide anything. But the people, if we believe in systems of justice, should have a right to bring those cases where there is merit.

[OCS: We have substantive and practical laws on the books. However, these laws are not often fully enforced by progressive communist democrat prosecutors who ignore previous gun-related criminality and plea bargain away gun charges in return for a guaranteed conviction that will add to their performance statistics and case clearance totals.

This is the United States, and we do not hold tool manufacturers criminally or civilly liable for the ill-intent of their tool users. Litigation? The progressive communist democrats believe "the process is the punishment" and will use the law to bankrupt their opponents and drive them away. Justice? The progressive communist democrats do not believe in justice – they equate criminals with victims in our systemically racist society – with little self-awareness that they control the system.

  • The man who allegedly tried to stab Republican candidate for New York governor Lee Zeldin with a bladed weapon during a campaign stop on Thursday was released from jail within hours of his arrest on a felony charge — just as Zeldin had predicted. David Jakubonis, 43, from Fairport, New York, was arraigned overnight in Perinton Town Court on a count of second-degree attempted assault stemming from the attack on Rep. Zeldin but was quickly released on his own recognizance. <Source>
  • Shocker! Two fentanyl traffickers who were released from jail on their own recognizance less than 24 hours after being arrested with 150,000 fentanyl pills during a traffic stop in California last month were both no shows for their court date yesterday. <Source>
  • Progressive communist democrat Associate Justice Elena Kagan warns that Supreme Court legitimacy at risk if it strays too far from public sentiment.

Here we have Justice Kagan totally ignoring that the role of a Supreme Court Justice is to interpret the U.S. Constitution, not the wishes of a majority mob. <Source>]

We need to have background checks. Think about it. It’s just reasonable to believe that before you can buy something that can kill another human being, we may want to know a couple of things about your background like that. You are a danger to yourself or other people around you. So we need reasonable gun safety laws and I believe that it is something that we all know will address the issue in part.

[OCS:  Background checks to weed out ineligible gun purchasers are a joke. Most criminals, crazies, and terrorists do not fill-out paperwork to acquire weapons, and when they do they lie like drug addict Hunter Biden who lied on his background check form. The progressive communist democrats bleat about “reasonable” gun safety laws yet seem unable to explain what those reasonable laws might be and why they are reasonable and necessary – or differ in effect from effective laws which remain unenforced.

Consider that law enforcement officials visited the home of an innocent citizen who committed no crime nor was suspected of a crime to verify the serial numbers on two recent gun purchases. This is the result of registration lists. And there is nothing in the Constitution or law that authorizes this behavior unless you hold a federal firearms license.

Warrantless ATF agents showed up on the front porch of a Delaware man’s home, demanding to see his firearms. The agents claimed they were investigating “straw purchases” and that the man had been flagged in their system after making a “large firearm purchase” of a whopping two guns.
The Delaware man, who has not shared his name, posted a video of the interaction with ATF agents and a member of the Delaware State Police online. The footage was captured from his family home’s Ring doorbell and shows one ATF agent and a Delaware state cop standing on his front porch, while another ATF agent takes up a position in the yard.

In the video of the warrantless ATF inspection posted online, the agent at the door tells the man that he’s “verifying” that he still has the firearms he recently purchased, seeming to state to because the man purchased two firearms at once, the government believes he’s done something wrong, though obviously not illegal.

“The idea is that when you purchase more than two guns at a time it generates a multiple sales report and it comes to us and we have to check them out,” the ATF agent on the front porch explained. “That’s all that is. You did nothing wrong, absolutely zero,” he admitted, while still demanding the see the firearms.

Ultimately, the man obliged the ATF and Delaware state cop, going back into his home to retrieve his firearms from his gun safe. When he did so, the cops were caught on the Ring doorbell admitting that they “don’t blame him” for his skepticism of their warrantless door knock. <Source>]

But there are a lot of other pressing issues that are associated with that issue that also need to be addressed in terms of what it causes, in terms of the mental health impact, the trauma on communities. What we know when I look at the mothers of homicide victims, that when I was DA I would meet with every other Thursday evening, no other prosecutor had met with them and I would meet with those mothers mostly and fathers who had lost mostly their sons. And the trauma that it caused on those families and by extension the communities, we need to address that as well. So there are a lot of things that are directly connected with gun violence that we need to be smarter about. Not to mention all of the other contributing factors that we could go into in more detail about economic opportunities or lack thereof in communities.

Reasonable or California Craziness?

New California gun control law mimics Texas abortion measure

California punched back Friday against two recent landmark US Supreme Court decisions as Governor Gavin Newsom signed a controversial, first-in-the-nation gun control law patterned after a Texas anti-abortion law and urged other states to follow suit.

“It’s time to put them on the defense. You cannot sell, you cannot manufacture, you cannot transfer these illegal weapons of war and mass destruction in the state of California. And if you do, there are 40 million people that can collect $10,000 from you, and attorney fees, for engaging in that illegal activity.”

Lawmakers patterned the bill, at Newsom’s request, after a Texas law allowing citizens to sue anyone who provides or assists in providing an abortion. The US Supreme Court gave preliminary approval to the Texas law, but California’s law will automatically be invalidated if the Texas law is eventually ruled unconstitutional. <Source>

Bottom line…

If Kamala Harris sounds coherent, it is because she is using a teleprompter and not winging it.

The progressive communist democrats want to disarm law-abiding citizens and make them vulnerable to their shock troops like Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other Black militias like the racist, anti-America Nation of Islam.

We are so screwed if we surrender our rights without a fight at the ballot box in 2022.

BIDEN NEEDS TO BITCH-SLAP AMLO

There is no doubt that Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, known as AMLO, is a committed communist, even naming his son Jesús Ernesto after Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the Marxist murderer who fought with Fidel Castro in Cuba.

So when a communist head of state openly taunts the United States over trade issues and declares “nothing will happen,” it is time for the President of the United States to bitch-slap the Mexican President and remind him that Mexico is a very junior partner in the trade relationship; deserving of respect but responsible for avoiding the open disparagement of the relationship between our two nations.

U.S. Initiates Trade Fight With Mexico Over Energy Policy
‘Ooooh, I’m so scared,’ Mexico’s López Obrador says, dismissing complaint that Mexico favors its state energy interests at the expense of American companies

The U.S. launched a trade fight against Mexico on Wednesday, accusing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s government of favoring its state-owned utility and oil company at the expense of American businesses.

The U.S. is seeking dispute settlement consultations under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement—the first step in what could lead to tariffs on a range of Mexican products. It also represents a challenge by the Biden administration to Mr. López Obrador’s effort to regain government control over the country’s oil and electricity markets.

[OCS: Like all communists, AMLO, wants to re-impose government control over industries to better serve “the Mexican people.”]

Mr. López Obrador was dismissive of the U.S. action, chalking it up to intense lobbying by what he called corrupt right-wing rivals in Mexico.

“Ooooh, I’m so scared...,” he said at his daily morning press conference, paraphrasing a line of a popular song by a musician of his tropical Tabasco state. He then ordered his staff to play the song in the middle of the press conference.

“Nothing will happen,” he said, referring to the trade dispute, arguing that President Biden has always been respectful of Mexico’s national sovereignty. <Source: Wall Street Journal>

It is a time to remind Mexican authorities that the United States is not as weak as it appears – even with the radical Obama/Biden policy of “open borders” and pumping billions into Mexico.

How America should respond…

(1) Rescind any plans to expand worker visas that the Biden Administration has just issued.

U.S. weighs 300,000 additional work visas to ease migration pressure

The Biden administration will propose issuing 300,000 temporary work visas to Mexicans and Central Americans to ease migration challenges in both countries, Mexico’s minister of the Interior says.

“It’s a high price, in terms of social costs, for our country to be a crossing point for migrants and every day we’re talking with the American government to try to generate (better) conditions,” Interior Minister Adan Augusto Lopez said Wednesday in a speech to the business community in Tijuana, Mexico. <Source>

Or, better yet, reduce the number of visas issued by 1,000 visas/month until the trade dispute is settled.

(2)  Considering the billions of dollars transferred to Mexico by those in the United States, tax these so-called remittances with a 5% tax to help pay for humanitarian services for newcomers who illegally cross the border.

Mexico Received $50 Billion in Remittances from the United States – Why Don’t We Tax It?

Mexicans living in the United States are on pace to send more than $50 billion in remittances to people still living in Mexico, according to data from the World Bank and Bank of Mexico. Border Report noted that this is a record amount of money sent back to Mexico, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and economic issues in the United States.

Remittances are money sent to countries overseas, often using money-wire services such as Western Union and MoneyGram. Remittances account for a significant quantity of some countries’ gross domestic product, including those in Central and South America. Immigration analyst Andrew Arthur noted that “remittances significantly subsidize the economies in those countries, and each would be hard pressed to replace the lost GDP if its nationals were to stop migrating, or even worse, return to those countries.” <Source>

In addition, start billing the Mexican government for healthcare and educational services provided to illegal aliens who crossed the border during periods of mass migration from Central and South America. Toughen vehicle inspections of commercial vehicles crossing the border. Reduce government aid targeted for fighting the cartels, which AMLO seems to embrace.

“President AMLO assured that his government should also take care of the members of criminal gangs, as they are human beings And the armed forces must avoid confrontation after a video in which elements of the Mexican military are persecuted by armed civilians in Michoacan.” <Source>

Between presidents Obama and Biden, the United States has never been this vulnerable to foreign interference in our internal affairs. Laughing as they continually embarrass and disparage our nation and its leadership – especially when our progressive communist democrats provide aid and comfort to our enemies.

Respect works both ways!

Time to get tough to avoid continually being screwed. This is the power dynamic that Trump mastered long ago as a commercial builder.

IMMIGRATION: DEMOCRATS PLAN TO EXTEND OPEN BORDERS TO FLY-IN IMMIGRATION

There is no doubt in my mind that America-hating communist Barak Obama is running the Biden administration through his minions in the White House (Susan Rice), the Department of Justice (Lisa Monaco), and other key executive branch agencies.

So I am not surprised to find out that the same people who claim that our Southern border is closed and under control are seeking to increase the flow of illegal immigrants in the United States by expanding the points of entry where aliens can declare asylum.

A key feature of this traitorous action to destroy the sovereignty of the United States is the creation of an online system that would allow anyone, anywhere in the world, to sign-up for asylum' – jump on a plane or boat without a valid U.S.Visa  or passport and then claim asylum upon landing. Additionally, asylum-seekers would no longer have to face an immigration judge but non-judicial U.S. asylum officers.

This is not simply overstaying a visa, but claiming asylum prior to entering the United States.

Bottom line…

After eight years of Obama and two years of Biden, our country is becoming unrecognizable, our economy is in shambles, and another war is bleeding our reserve stockpiles.

We are literally crippling our nation, constitution, military, economy, and culture.

The gutless GOP refused to fight for counting illegal aliens during the Census lest the truth be told that there are not twelve million illegal aliens present in the United States -- a number that stays the same year after year in spite of the illegal alien hordes pouring into our country.

My original request was that we give illegal aliens 90-days to register and after that date, they could be deported, along with family members,  without adjudication. Likewise, penalizing those who do not use e-Verify to check employment status -- and demand that both the Social Security Administration and the IRS turn over information on those using bogus Social Security Numbers to the immigration authorities to be prosecuted as an additional crime.

U.S. WEAPONS AND SECRETS ARE FLOWING TO OUR ENEMIES

Our government appears to be selling out our country…

(1)  We know that Ukraine has been and still is a corrupt kleptocracy. From dealings with Hunter and Joe Biden, we can see that the nation is riddled with corruption, arms dealing, and other illegal activities.

(2)  The fact that Ukraine is engaged in an open conflict with Russia does not automatically convey a mantle of purity and trustworthiness on Ukraine or its leadership.

(3)  There are those within the United States who continue to promote and foster the ongoing conflict, which generates enormous profits for the military-industrial complex and its middlemen facilitators. You can bet foreign agents, through their American friends, are engaging in the traditional wining, dining, and pocket-lining of our Congressional representatives.

(4)  But, worst of all, we cannot inventory, locate, or control the money and ordinance – along with operational secrets – flowing into Ukraine and other frenemy countries like the Islamic country of Turkey.

Zelensky Takes Aim at Hidden Enemy: Ukrainians Aiding Russia

In firing his intelligence chief and top prosecutor, President Volodymyr Zelensky signaled a more aggressive approach to a fifth column undermining Ukraine’s war effort.

[OCS: It could also be a Zelensky power grab to gain more control over the nation's top law enforcement agencies, especially since the replacements are close friends of Zelensky and his Chief of Staff.]

Even as it engages in fierce fighting with Russia on the battlefield, Ukraine is also waging war on a different, more shadowy front: rooting out spies and collaborators in government and society who are providing crucial help to the invading forces.

While Ukrainian society as a whole has rallied to the country’s defense, Russian sympathizers are reporting the locations of Ukrainian targets like garrisons or ammunition depots, Ukraine’s officials say. Priests have sheltered Russian officers and informed on Ukrainian activists in Russian-occupied areas. One official said collaborators had removed explosives from bridges, allowing Russian troops to cross.

[OCS: Considering the amount of tactical intelligence and targeting support the U.S. is supplying to Ukraine, the greater the risk of ambushes and the loss of men and materiel. It also places our intel sources and methods at great risk. ]

The issue was cast into sharp relief on Sunday night when President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed two senior law enforcement officials, saying they had not been nearly aggressive enough in weeding out traitors. It was the first major reshuffle of his brain trust since the war began.

Hundreds of treason investigations have been opened, Mr. Zelensky said in a televised address after the dismissals, which still must be confirmed by the Parliament, underscoring the depth of a problem that can provide a critical advantage to the enemy. The threat from spies in government, churches and intelligence agencies, and from Russian-leaning citizens in the East, has plagued Ukraine for years, but has become still more acute during the war.

Mr. Zelensky specifically cited Ukraine’s security service, an unwieldy force of 27,000 personnel, the largest in Europe. Western allies believe the service has too many areas of operation, leaving it open to corruption, and prone to straying from its spy-hunting role.

“Such an array of crimes against the foundations of the national security of the state, and the connections detected between the employees of the security forces of Ukraine and the special services of Russia, pose very serious questions to the relevant leadership,” Mr. Zelensky said. <Source>

US State Department is "carefully" monitoring situation after Zelensky announced plans to suspend officials

The US State Department is “aware” of the reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced he plans to suspend two of his top law enforcement officials over the weekend, citing instances of treason, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said at a briefing Monday.

“We’re aware of the reports, and we’ll continue to carefully monitor the situation. We are in daily contact with our Ukrainian partners,” Price said.
The State Department is “leaning forward in terms of the information” they are sharing with Ukrainian partners to “help them build the case for accountability against those who may have perpetrated war crimes and other atrocities,” Price added.

Most of the information that the US is passing to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on a “routine basis” is “open-source information,” Price added.

Meanwhile, the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, under the chairmanship of liar/leaker/perjurer Adam Schiff (D-CA), spends its time persecuting former President Donald Trump on behalf of the corrupt progressive communist democrats.

You would think that the Committee would be preoccupied with oversight of the nation’s intelligence agencies, who seem to have a record of significant intelligence failures and a finger in domestic politics and spying on the American people.

Likewise, one would assume that the United States House Committee on Armed Services would be conducting oversight activities on the armed services concerning the improper dismissal of experienced officers and non-commissioned officers on petty charges involving non-military matters, the quality and misconduct of those promoted on intersectionality-based social criteria, and the weakening of the military by social justice warriors who form a fifth column in our own nation.

It is my belief that we are pouring our hard-earned treasure into Ukraine partly to convince our allies that America's Democrats can be a trusted partner after we destroyed Iraq,  Libya, and surrendered Afghanistan. Especially to reassure Taiwan, South Korea, and the Baltic states that we will not cut and run should they be attacked.

Our enemies, both foreign and domestic, are here and winning without firing a shot. They are purchasing our critical infrastructure and accessing its secrets using artificially-inflated dollars to buy both people and productive resources.

China building massive power farm near US Air Force base in Texas

A Chinese firm is building a massive wind farm near Laughlin Air Force base in southwest Texas, and both state and federal lawmakers are advancing legislation to stop it.

The wind farm project, known as the Blue Hills Wind development, is being managed by GH America Energy, the U.S. subsidiary of the Chinese Guanghui Energy Company according to a 2020 report by Foreign Policy. The project entails the purchase of around 140,000 acres of land located about 70 miles from Laughlin Air Force Base. Guanghui Energy is owned by Sun Guangxin, a Chinese billionaire who reportedly has ties to the ruling Chinese Communist Party.

The Blue Hills wind farm has raised concerns of efforts to spy on or otherwise interfere in U.S. flight training. The wind power project has also raised concerns the power supply to the Air Force base could be vulnerable to hostile actors. <Source>

One can only imagine the attend farm growing on top of 250-foot wind towers with sufficient space for electronic monitoring equipment.

Biden DOJ ending national security initiative aimed at countering China amid complaints about bias

The Department of Justice announced Wednesday that it is ending its "China Initiative" program that was aimed at preventing spying by the Chinese Communist Party, and launching a new, "broader approach."

The China Initiative was started in 2018 under the Trump administration to protect U.S. national security against Chinese spying on U.S. intellectual property and in academia. The DOJ website said it was aimed at "identifying and prosecuting those engaged in trade secret theft, hacking, and economic espionage," as well as "protecting our critical infrastructure against external threats through foreign direct investment and supply chain compromises."

That program is coming to an end. In its place, the DOJ is instituting a new "Strategy for Countering Nation-State Threats." <Source>

(a) Establishment.--Not later than March 1, 2023, the Secretary of the Navy shall establish and carry out a pilot program to offer plant-based protein options at forward operating bases for consumption by members of the Navy.

(b) Locations.--Not later than March 1, 2023, the Secretary shall identify not fewer than two naval facilities to participate in the pilot program and shall prioritize facilities (such as Joint Region Marianas, Guam, Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia, and U.S. Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan) where livestock-based protein options may be costly to obtain or store.

(c) Authorities.--In establishing and carrying out the pilot program under subsection (a), the Secretary of the Navy may use the following authorities:

(1) The authority to carry out research and development projects under section 4001 of title 10, United States Code.

(2) The authority to enter into transactions other than contracts and grants under section 4021 of such title.

(3) The authority to enter into cooperative research and development agreements under section 4026 of such title.

(d) Rule of Construction.--Nothing in this Act shall be construed to prevent offering livestock-based protein options alongside plant-based protein options at naval facilities identified under subsection (b).

(e) Termination.--The requirement to carry out the pilot program established under this section shall terminate three years after the date on which the Secretary establishes the pilot program required under this section.

(f) Report.--Not later than one year after the termination of the pilot program, the Secretary shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on the pilot program that includes the following:

(1) The consumption rate of plant-based protein options by members of the Navy under the pilot program.

(2) Effective criteria to increase plant-based protein options at naval facilities not identified under subsection (b).

(3) An analysis of the costs of obtaining and storing plant-based protein options compared to the costs of obtaining and storing livestock-based protein options at selected naval facilities.

(g) Definitions.--In this section:

(1) Appropriate congressional committees.—The term “appropriate congressional committees” means--

(A) the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives; and

(B) the Committee on Armed Forces of the Senate.

(2) Plant-based protein options.— The term “plant-based protein options” means edible vegan or vegetarian meat alternative products made using plant and other non-livestock-based proteins.

What is it really?

The findings, published in Cell Host and Microbe, yield a better understanding of gut-immune “communication,” which experts hope might eventually mean help for patients with immune disorders for which few effective treatments currently exist.

“We are just at the tip of the iceberg in terms of understanding how gut bacteria and our immune cells talk to each other,” says Jun Huh, a CMIT Investigator and Associate Professor of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, who was one of the senior authors of the study. “But it’s like the first steps in deciphering a communication code between two kingdoms — we know it’s important and these early steps are very exciting.” <Source>

Put simply, we do not know what we do not know, and there is no way to determine the consequences of long-term exposures to artificially created and manipulated products that may adversely affect the immune system that protects us from disease and systemic abnormalities.

As we have seen with the so-called vaccines, terrible side effects may pose life-altering consequences. We have already seen pilots stricken with heart issues, from inflammation to life-threatening arrhythmias, and the last thing we want to see in carrier-based pilots or operators of critical defense systems is a loss of focus or failure to execute their mission.

We must demand that our legislators and special interests quit using America’s military for social engineering. Especially the type of destructive phenomena linked to physical and medical interventions.

Can we trust any group of individuals that believes in de-growth, weakening America from within, population control, welcomes a global pandemic as a natural population adjustment, and supports killing members of the next generation?

DISGUSTED: ANOTHER SCIENTIST VIRTUE SIGNALING "WOKE" POLITICS

In my day, scientists came in three flavors: extraordinarily competent and accomplished scientists, scientists that manned the labs and worked under the direction of the principal investigator, and the remainder comprised of unremarkable hacks and incompetents. No mention of nationality, color, gender, or religion, just their work and attempts to validate, extend, or falsify their findings and conclusions.

So I am somewhat disturbed when an expedition team member plays the race card as if their participation were scientifically historic.  

Historic dive aims to map Earth’s deepest point like never before

Ocean-mapping specialist Dawn Wright is the first Black person to visit Challenger Deep.

The deep ocean remains one of the most mysterious places on Earth. Only around 20% of the ocean floor has been mapped to modern standards. That includes Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench near Guam, which at around 11,000 metres below sea level is the deepest known point on the planet.

This area is so difficult to get to that just 23 people have taken the plunge since 1960. On 12 July, Dawn Wright, a marine geologist and chief scientist at Esri, a mapping-software company in Redlands, California, became the first Black person to visit. Wright was part of a two-person dive aboard the submersible Limiting Factor, piloted by Victor Vescovo, explorer and founder of ocean research firm Caladan Oceanic in Dallas, Texas.

Shortly before heading out to sea, Wright spoke to Nature about the historic dive and why mapping the depths of the ocean matters.

I am also trying to take the opportunity to express what this means to me as the first Black person to make this dive. I wish this wasn’t such a big deal — but it is, especially in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. The problem with “woke science.”

At the heart of “woke” science is a postmodernist philosophy that redefines objective truth into subjective manifestations of power. That mathematics, the descriptive language of science, is inherently racist because its teachings assume that there is a right and wrong answer – devoid of “context” related to race, sex, gender, and belief.

I wonder if Dr. Dawn Wright would be eager to trust her life to a “woke” engineer whose calculations underlie the creation and operation of her dive vehicle or mapping software?

Woke is the shorthand identifier to identify those acolytes and beliefs as having been “awakened” to the biases and injustices allegedly permeating our societies.

In reality, a Marxist canard used to divide people into intersectional identities where they can be more easily manipulated by a regime controlled by the elites to gain or maintain their power, privileges, perks, and profits.

To illustrate the folly of this approach, let us consider the Nobel Laureate physicist Richard Feynman who explained the core of science: It doesn’t matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn’t matter how smart you are, and your intentions are not relevant, if your hypothesis does not agree with experiment, the hypothesis or experiment is wrong. That’s all there is to it.

Whatever happened to color-blind, gender-blind science?

While I agree that sensory impressions and cognitive biases can distort the observation of objective reality, I believe the quantum results of the two-slit experiment are influenced by the act of observation. I do not think the observer's color, sex, or gender matters. Perhaps, the basis of another experiment?

MY "FREE" COVID TESTS DELIVERED TODAY HAVE ALREADY EXPIRED!

There was a time when I used to be a lot more optimistic about the medical profession, best practices, and evidence-based treatment protocols.

Unfortunately, I am much more realistic after witnessing the deception and outright criminality of well-regarded, well-educated, and well-experienced physicians and scientists and their formerly "prestigious" institutions.

The regime, big pharma, and others exploiting the pandemic for self-gain don’t want this pandemic to end. Since the pandemic lies at the core of their political control and profits, there is no incentive to develop effective testing and early treatment protocols that work for most of the general population and reduces the fear caused by media-driven stories of dire consequences that are statistically unlikely to manifest.

I am pissed off...

Today I received four packages of on/go COVID-19 Antigen Self-Tests, each box containing two tests. They were ordered, processed, and shipped from one of our nation’s largest pharmacy service corporations. OptumRX.

It is July 16, 2022, and the test expiration date is May 2022!

A sticker on the box notes that the FDA has granted a shelf-life extension of three months.

Attention: On May 12, 2022, the FDA granted a twelve-month shelf-life extension for On/Go COVID-19 Antigen Self-Tests (also known under CareStart COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test EUA letter).  For many boxes, for example, if the expiration date printed on your box states April 2022, the expiration date for the test is now October 31, 2022. Please note, the expiration date for the tests is the last day of the labeled expiration month.  The attached document lists the new expiration dates for On/Go Self-Tests by lot number.  We will continue to apply to FDA for shelf-life extensions every three months based on our stability studies, and the new shelf-lives for our tests will apply to tests already produced as well as future production. <Source>

[OCS: First, 30o Celsius is only 86o Fahrenheit-- posing a potential problem for those whose tests were stored and shipped in hot climates, those whose tests were left in a vehicle in hot weather, or those who do not enjoy air conditioning. Does this suggest storing the tests in a refrigerator or insulated bag? Second, the FDA is relying on the manufacturer's submitted test data which is reviewed, not corroborated. Third, there is no mention of the probability of false positives or even worse, false negatives.]

The FDA has granted a shelf-life extension (Up to 6 months) for On/Go COVID-19 Antigen Self-Tests. If the expiration date printed on your box states April 2022, the expiration date for the test is now October 31, 2022.

However, looking up the actual lot number on the manufacturer’s site, I find the extension is good to November 30, 2022.

Who should I believe?

  • Should I believe the test manufacturer that is incentivized to push stale-aged inventory out the door to produce profits instead of losses?
  • Should I believe the FDA, which has been caught in various shenanigans, lies, and cover-ups? An agency that is partly funded by those they regulate and subject to regulatory capture where regulatory agencies come to be dominated by the industries or interests they are charged with regulating.
  • Should I believe the distributor? In looking up information on the COVID tests, I was surprised to find the following message – “California consumers and health care providers: The California pharmacy permit for the Carlsbad, CA OptumRx home delivery pharmacy (PHY 47482) has been placed on probation from 4/1/22 - 3/31/23 by the California Board of Pharmacy.” <Source>

The allegations cover a range of issues ranging from late deliveries, wrong prescriptions, not following a doctor’s instructions, and not seeking the doctor’s approval for substituted medication. Even though the tests cost me nothing up-front, I realize that my fellow citizens and I are paying for the tests and that the ultimate cost might be my life if the test cannot be validated and I am hospitalized as a high-risk patient.

REIMAGINING SLAVERY

The progressive communist Democrats continue to pander to their black coalition members by implementing affirmative action legislation and promising to consider reparations to redress historical grievances.

However, you will note that the progressive communist democrats have reimagined slavery and made it more acceptable to the enslaved people and those who sit idly by and watch this slow-moving humanitarian disaster unfold.

The difference is that while the blacks were sold into slavery by black African slavemasters, the brown enslaved people are being artificially lured into servitude by privileges and programs designed by the Democrats with their open border policy.

It used to be that illegal aliens would avoid Border Patrol officers at all costs. Now they seek out these very same officers to surrender. Knowing that they will be cleaned up, given some form of identification and assistance -- and released into the heartland of the United States to serve as a source of cheap labor which can be continually threatened with deportation. Their only obligation is promising to appear at a court hearing far in the future.

More Than 300 Migrants Surrender to Texas Border Patrol Agents in One Day

McAllen Station agents received an emergency call from a migrant who said he just crossed the border from Mexico. Agents interviewed the subject about the location of the crossing and determined it to be near Granjeno, Texas, according to Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol officials.

The agents quickly responded to the area and found a total of 67 illegal immigrants, officials stated. The group consisted of family units and unaccompanied minors.

Agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector process the highest number in the nation of migrants who cross the border this way and make asylum claims based on “credible fear.” During Fiscal Year 2018, which ended on September 30, 32,521 migrants made credible fear asylum claims after surrendering to Border Patrol agents, the report from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol stated. This represents an increase of 29 percent over the previous year claims made by 25,156 migrants. <Source>

The evidence is everywhere. All of the immigration legislation that the progressive communist democrats propose rarely deals with the impact of employment on American citizens, especially young adults seeking part-time work or entry-level positions.

Bottom line...

The fundamental problem with the progressive communist democrats is that they never suffer the consequence of their actions or are accountable for the death, pain, and suffering they create.

And the propagandists in the media rarely note that the constant influx of illegal aliens has a “disparate impact,” to use a progressive phrase, on the minority American citizens who vote as well as those holding legal green card work permits.

I find it amazing that the Democrats who claim to speak on behalf of minorities and blue-collar workers are governed by college-educated white elites who live in their own insulated bubble in costal areas. They continually complain about systemic problems, never mentioning that they control the system's institutions as well as the culture.

The most dangerous threat is not the one that you didn't see, but the one you failed to recognize as a threat.
