I am rarely shocked by what I see in newspapers, especially those that act as propagandists for the progressive communist democrats. However, to see the Sacramento Bee, a broadsheet newspaper owned by The McClatchy Company, publish an opinion piece viciously and virulently attacking Hillsdale College is quite shocking.
A conspiracy-peddling college is coming to Placer County. That should scare us all
Placer County’s Board of Supervisors are thrilled that Hillsdale College, a small, ultra-conservative Christian university, plans to build a campus on farmland west of Roseville. The problem is that Hillsdale is an extremist institution, perpetuating alternative facts and harmful conspiracy theories.
[OCS: Translation: extremist – anything that contradicts the ideology of the progressive communist democrats; alternative facts – there is no such thing, only facts and falsity; conspiracy theories – how many so-called conspiracy theories have turned out to be accurate, if not worse than what was initially thought.]
Placer County’s agreement with Hillsdale signals a deeper conflict in our county – that of local elected officials not only entertaining fringe beliefs but creating a space where young people can be radicalized against democracy. Instead of promoting knowledge and understanding in the best traditions of higher education, Hillsdale’s plans for Placer threatens more political and cultural conflict in our already polarized community.
[OCS: This is a libel on local officials who are promoting a well-regarded educational institution that provides a traditional liberal arts education while promoting Christian values and American patriotism. Any controversy comes from the progressive communist democrats and their media propagandists.]
Take Hillsdale’s mission statement, for example: “The College values the merit of each unique individual, rather than succumbing to the dehumanizing, discriminatory trend of so-called ‘social justice and ‘multicultural diversity.’”
[OCS: This is the fundamental difference between the collectiveness and obeisance to the authoritarian state promoted by communists and the merit of individualism promoted by a freedom-loving people.]
What’s wrong with social justice and multicultural diversity? And why would Hillsdale so openly flout ideas meant to create a just nation except to profit off of division between people? This statement is a gratuitous dog whistle indicating a profit motive for being an anti-liberal arts college.
[OCS: Social justice, multiculturalism, and moral equivalency are all tools of the progressive communist democrats used to implement identity politics and highlight class division and warfare to bring about the revolution that will usher in a communist state.
The idea that promoting a just nation to profit off division between people is intellectually dishonest and the thinking of a warped mind. There is no such thing as a college without a profit motive, at least one that wishes to maintain its physical plant, pay its administration, hire an excellent teaching staff, and provide for the student body.]
Hillsdale does exactly what it claims to combat: Indoctrination via teachings of a fringe, conspiracy-laden, alternative facts ecosystem susceptible to young people.
[OCS: This is the classic projection of the progressive communist democrats, ascribing their behavior to those who oppose them.]
Hillsdale became a private institution, rejecting all federal dollars, after refusing to provide data on the racial composition of its student body to the government in the 1970s. It’s no surprise that Hillsdale has published racist doctrines to deny the history of Black Americans. Last fall, the school published a “1776 Curriculum” for K-12 students.
[OCS: By rejecting federal dollars, the school is invulnerable to the dictates of a government mandating the acceptance of progressive communist ideology. One might ask, which version of Black History, the overtly racist one, tells us that our country’s founding started with the landing of slaves in the colonies in 1619 or one that notes the true and accepted founding of our nation in 1776?]
“Critical race theory and its various manifestations is (sic) diametrically opposed to the principles of equality on which America was founded,” reads one section of the 1776 Curriculum. “By so rejecting America’s founding principles, critical race theory and its adherents reject the principles of equality and human dignity that have led to the most free, prosperous, and secure country in the history of civilization.”
[OCS: This is a true statement, characterized as a pejorative in the warped minds of the progressive communist democrats who support and promote racist and other class struggles.]
For Hillsdale, it seems they view the practice of accurately teaching America’s complex history to students as a threat to white supremacy.
[OCS: White supremacy is just another boogieman in the class warfare battle.
Barely 30 minutes away from Hillsdale’s planned construction site in West Roseville is William Jessup University, a small, private, Christian liberal arts college.
[OCS: One does not place limits on the number of Churches or schools, why would anyone object to another college campus that is beneficial to the community?]
Placer County doesn’t need Hillsdale. But Hillsdale’s arrival solves a 14-year dilemma: Placer officials have been trying to bring a college campus to the 600-acre parcel in West Roseville since 2008. Numerous prior projects with other colleges all eventually fell through. And now we’re stuck with Hillsdale.
The question Placer residents should be asking is: Why did Hillsdale choose Placer? Does the college see our county as a staging ground for fanning the flames of partisan division?
Adding Hillsdale to Placer County merely represents another example of local elected officials promoting personal political beliefs that are not shared by many of their constituents – beliefs that flout the ideals of separating church from state.
[OCS: A community comprises diverse beliefs and opinions, and the political leadership takes an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution, not the racist wishes of a vocal minority of progressive communist democrats. This makes absolutely no sense – there is no church-state connection in this equation.]
Hillsdale is a breeding ground for the type of ideology that caused the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. The college teaches a dangerous brand of right-wing political extremism that seeks to arm future generations with a distorted view of history and reality.
[OCS: Truth be told, the community should reject the true extremists that want to destroy America from within as they promote racism to divide our nation.]
There is nothing like a progressive communist democrat propagandist rag for generating criticism, controversy, and class warfare by libeling an American educational institution that teaches fundamental truths and ethical behavior, fosters critical thinking, and promotes individual responsibility and merit.
If you want to see for yourself what is going on at Hillsdale, subscribe to Imprimis, Hillsdale’s free monthly speech digest of Hillsdale College and dedicated to educating citizens and promoting civil and religious liberty by covering cultural, economic, political, and educational issues. Or take one of their free online courses. Just looking at the course titles should inspire you to learn more about your world, your nation, and yourself.
One of the most significant drivers of the hatred of Hillsdale is the fear that Hillsdale is identifying current political threats to the United States and educating individuals who are likely to become future leaders.
We are so screwed when mass-circulation media spews vile progressive communist democrat hatred into the atmosphere and promotes division in the United States.
