ALEC BALDWIN SHOOTING: THIS MAY NOT BE AN ACCIDENT, IT MAY BE NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE

By now, everyone knows the story, Alec Baldwin pointed a gun, pulled the trigger, and discharged a live round. The result was catastrophic, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injury to director Joel Souza.

This tragedy has been characterized in the media as an accident caused by the “misfire” of a prop-gun—all incorrect characterizations.

On Thursday, a spokesperson for Baldwin told PEOPLE “there was an accident today on the New Mexico set of Rust involving the misfire of a prop gun with blanks.” <Source>

(1) This was not a “prop gun” with built-in safeguards to prevent the discharge of a projectile. This was a functioning weapon used as a prop.

(2) It appears that there are significant issues with the control, loading, and discharge of the weapon involving other crew members. (Especially the armorer/prop master and first assistant director.)

(3) It is not an accident or a misfire when someone pulls the trigger on a correctly functioning weapon and a loaded round discharges.

(4) While the death and injury resulted from an unintentional series of events, this is an example of negligent homicide where industry norms and procedures appear to have been violated in the control, loading, and use of what is being described as a prop gun.

(5) That anti-gun activist Alec Baldwin did not, himself, check a weapon provided to him speaks to his ignorance in the basics of gun handling. One, know your weapon and the ammunition you are using – there is a significant difference between the look of a blank, with its crimped closure, and a live round topped with a bullet. Two, always assume the weapon is loaded. Three never aim a weapon at a person unless you mean to kill that person. In his failure to properly handle a firearm as an actor and to double-check with the armorer/prop master as the producer, Baldwin has some degree of culpability as the shooter/producer.

IATSE Local 44, which covers prop masters, sent an email to its members early Friday morning that said the gun used in the scene contained “a live round” and the production’s propmaster was not a member of Local 44. Director Joel Souza also was hit and injured by a bullet and was treated at an area hospital before being released…

Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Juan Rios told the New York Times that the incident happened in the middle of a scene that was being rehearsed or filmed. “We’re trying to determine right now how and what type of projectile was used in the firearm,” he said.

What is not presently known are the precise details of the event.

Baldwin’s Statement…

An assistant director grabbed one of three prop guns that the film’s armorer had set up outside on a gray cart, handed it to Mr. Baldwin, and, according to an affidavit signed by Detective Joel Cano of the Santa Fe County sheriff’s office, yelled “Cold Gun!” — which was supposed to indicate that the gun did not have any live rounds in it.

When Mr. Baldwin fired the gun, law enforcement officials said, it struck and killed the film’s cinematographer and wounded its director — and raised new questions about firearms safety on film sets.

The assistant director “did not know live rounds were in the prop-gun” when he gave it to Mr. Baldwin, according to the affidavit, which was made as part of a search warrant application. The affidavit did not specify what kind of ammunition the gun had been loaded with.

The affidavit said that the three guns had been left on a gray cart outside the structure where Mr. Baldwin was working on a scene “due to Covid-19 restrictions.” With the search warrant, the detectives were seeking additional evidence that could help shed light on the events leading up to the fatal shooting: footage or video captured during the filming, computer and cellphones left on set, as well as other firearms and ammunition.

There have been reports of labor unrest on the set of the film, where Mr. Baldwin also served as a producer. Several members of the crew walked off the set earlier this week over working conditions, according to several people familiar with the shoot. <Source>

The gun was one of three that the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, had set on a cart outside the wooden structure where a scene was being acted, according to the records. Assistant director Dave Halls grabbed the gun from the cart and brought it inside to Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds, a detective wrote in the search warrant application. <Source>

The person in charge of overseeing the gun props, known as the armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, could not be reached for comment. The 24-year-old is the daughter of veteran armorer Thell Reed and had recently completed her first film as the head armorer for the movie “The Old Way,” with Clint Howard and Nicolas Cage. <Source>

Something is very, very wrong…

‘Rust’ crew describes on-set gun safety issues and misfires days before fatal shooting

Safety protocols standard in the industry, including gun inspections, were not strictly followed on the “Rust” set near Santa Fe, the sources said. They said at least one of the camera operators complained last weekend to a production manager about gun safety on the set.

Three crew members who were present at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set on Saturday said they were particularly concerned about two accidental prop gun discharges.

Baldwin’s stunt double accidentally fired two rounds Saturday after being told that the gun was “cold” — lingo for a weapon that doesn’t have any ammunition, including blanks — two crew members who witnessed the episode told the Los Angeles Times.

“There should have been an investigation into what happened,” the crew member said. “There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn’t happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush.”

A colleague was so alarmed by the prop gun misfires that he sent a text message to the unit production manager. “We’ve now had 3 accidental discharges. This is super unsafe,” according to a copy of the message reviewed by The Times.

The actor was preparing to film a scene in which he pulls a gun out of a holster, according to a source close to the production. Crew members had already shouted “cold gun” on the set. The filmmaking team was lining up its camera angles and had yet to retreat to the video village, an on-set area where the crew gathers to watch filming from a distance via a monitor.

Instead, the B-camera operator was on a dolly with a monitor, checking out the potential shots. Hutchins was also looking at the monitor from over the operator’s shoulder, as was the movie’s director, Joel Souza, who was crouching just behind her.

Baldwin removed the gun from its holster once without incident, but the second time he repeated the action, ammunition flew toward the trio around the monitor. The projectile whizzed by the camera operator but penetrated Hutchins near her shoulder, then continued through to Souza. Hutchins immediately fell to the ground as crew members applied pressure to her wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding. <Source>

Where union and non-union crew members clash, sometimes union-member sabotage and other mischief follow...

Labor trouble had been brewing for days on the dusty set at the Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe. As the camera crew — members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees — spent about an hour assembling their gear at the Bonanza Creek Ranch, several nonunion crew members showed up to replace them, two of the knowledgeable people said.

One of the producers ordered the union members to leave the set and threatened to call security to remove them if they didn’t leave voluntarily. “Corners were being cut — and they brought in nonunion people so they could continue shooting,” the knowledgeable person said. The shooting occurred about six hours after the union camera crew left. <Source>

Bottom line…

As the actor who fired the fatal shot, Alec Baldwin appears to have little liability, however, as the film's producer and key-decision-maker, Baldwin may face more responsibility. If anything, this clearly appears to be a case of negligent homicide. Charges for key crewmembers can include involuntary manslaughter which does not require “specific intent” of wanting a person’s death. (A fourth-degree felony carrying a penalty of 18 months jail time and up to $5,000 in fines.) If live ammunition was loaded into the weapon, that would be a grossly negligent act, and whoever loaded the weapon will be held responsible. If this turns out to be sabotage, the penalties would be elevated to possibly include more serious charges.

However, he does not walk free – likely to suffer psychological and financial damages that exceed insurance coverages. Especially from civil suits that are likely to be filed by multiple parties.

Friends are asking me if I feel sorry for Baldwin. The short answer is no – I feel sorry for the innocent victims. I feel as sorry for Baldwin as Baldwin did when he viciously mocked Vice President Dick Cheney for a hunting accident where Cheney shot a close friend or a police officer who shot an attacking assailant.

Perhaps Baldwin could learn something from conservative director/producer John Milius or fellow-lefties Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger -- all experienced gun handlers.

Hunter Biden committed numerous crimes and has been under investigation for years.

But, then again, they are all DEMOCRATS!

Bottom line…

Under the purview of the Democrats, with their slim majority, it appears that the House of Representatives is doing material damage to the United States of America. This trend must be neutralized and reversed before we experience an irreversible fundamental transformation of our exceptional nation.

I wonder if the Republicans if they regain majority status in the House, will have the cojones to investigate, subpoena, and impeach Democrats like the Clintons, Bidens, Obamas, and their minions? Dream on!

ALEC BALDWIN & GUN CONTROL: PROGRESSIVE HYPOCRISY ON THE RUST SET

Sheriff: Alec Baldwin Discharged Prop Firearm That Left Director in Critical Condition and Cinematographer Dead

A prop firearm was discharged by Alec Baldwin on the Western movie set of Rust, killing a cinematographer and wounding the director, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department.

Director of Photography Halyna Hutchins, 42, was injured Thursday when the prop gun was “discharged” by Baldwin, the film’s producer and star, authorities said. She was transported by helicopter to the University of New Mexico Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s department said.

The second victim was the film’s director, Joel Souza, 48, who was taken by ambulance to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. He was in critical condition, Juan Ríos, spokesman for the sheriff’s office told The Hollywood Reporter.

[Sheriff’s Spokesman Juan] Ríos said an active investigation was underway and no charges have been filed.

“According to investigators it appears that the scene being filmed involved the use of a prop firearm when it was discharged,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement. “Detectives are investigating how and what type of projectile was discharged.” <Source>

The investigation will reveal under what circumstances Baldwin may have pointed a prop weapon in the direction of his director and cinematographer, who are generally behind the scenes. Also, why did the set’s 1st Assistant Director and armorer/prop-master not check the weapon before handing it to the actor before the scene? Both are charged with on-set safety and the use of hazardous props and materials.

Hypocrisy abounds as anti-gun advocates earn a substantial living by often portraying outlaws who deliberately and maliciously kill people…

Perhaps if Baldwin had attended the introductory NRA safety course, he would have not accidentally shot two crew members…

(1) Always treat a firearm as if it was loaded.

(2) Never point a firearm at a person you did not intend to kill.

Bottom line…

I remember Baldwin making fun of Vice President Dick Cheney’s accidental shooting of a hunting companion. Or, more recently, commenting about a police officer-involved shooting where he tweeted, “I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone...”.

It is homicide when someone is killed, and Alec Baldwin is reported to have pulled the trigger. Therefore, even if Baldwin is innocent and the shooting was accidental, charge him with negligent homicide and leave it to the jury to absolve him. Isn’t that how progressive justice works?

We are awaiting the results of the investigation.

I saw this official Department of State tweet about the use of pronouns and am totally confused…

Why do many Americans list pronouns on social media profiles?

In the United States, it’s becoming increasingly common for people to “share their pronouns.”

Third-person personal pronouns are used to describe a person or people, in American English grammar, as the subject, as the object, or in the possessive.

These pronouns include the gender-neutral they/them/theirs — words that traditionally refer to a plural number but that today are used by some individuals who identify as gender nonbinary or who prefer not to share gender information. Other pronouns include the feminine she/her/hers and the masculine he/him/his. Some people are pioneering gender-neutral pronouns such as ze/zir/zirs.

Many Americans are including their pronouns on social media profiles or name tags or as part of email signatures. They state them in meetings, whether online or in person, and at other venues. <Source>

THE FIRST NEW QUARTER OF 2022 ISN'T WORTH A PROGRESSIVE PLUG NICKLE

If you haven’t been paying attention, the United States Mint is preparing to introduce a series of new quarters in 2022 as part of their American Women Quarters Program program.

The first selection, as expected, was a black far-left radical hater, Maya Angelou.

While Maya Angelou was described as a celebrated writer, performer, and social activist, she is hardly suitable for the honor. She is one of those “check the boxes” selections favored by the progressive communist democrats.

In reality, Angelou was described as a far-leftist activist who was racist, a hater of America, anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, a close friend of Malcolm X, a supporter of the rabid racist anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, and a strong supporter of Communist Cuba’s Fidel Castro. <Source>

The second selection is another one of those “check the boxes” selections, this time a member of the LBGTQ+ community.

The second quarter in the series will honor Dr. Sally Ride, a patriotic physicist, astronaut, educator, and first American woman in space. Of course, like all of the selections associated with progressive communist democrats and their identity politics, there had to be a reason for her selection beyond patriotism and being an accomplished American. While Ride kept her private life private, she is often labeled by the left as the first lesbian astronaut and the first lesbian in outer space, as if that mattered to anyone other than those exploiting identity politics for political power.

Facebook pilots Novi crypto wallet with Coinbase, Paxos

Social media giant Facebook has tapped Coinbase and Paxos for its forthcoming Novi digital wallet project, which kicked off its pilot testing phase in the United States and Guatemala on Tuesday.

Beginning Tuesday, a small cohort of users in both countries will be able to download the Novi digital wallet app on iPhone or Android devices and add money to their accounts with a debit card. From there, they will be able to send and receive money using Pax Dollar (USDP), a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by blockchain trust company Paxos.

Facebook selected USDP in its pilot program because of its proven track record and “important regulatory and consumer protection attributes.” Because USDP reserves are fully backed by cash, Novi users will have the ability to withdraw their money in their local currency.

Customer funds will be custodied with Coinbase, which manages $180 billion in assets.

A spokesperson for Facebook told Cointelegraph the pilot phase will allow Facebook to evaluate the wallet’s core functions and showcase operational capabilities, specifically those around customer service and compliance. Novi is also being designed for interoperability with other digital wallets.

The spokesperson stated that the company has not abandoned support for the Diem network, a permissionless payment system that is still awaiting the green light from Washington. “We intend to launch Novi with Diem once it receives regulatory approval and goes live,” they said. <Source>

The Bank of America, PayPal, and other payment services have closed the accounts of legitimate businesses because of politics.

Facebook name change: I don’t give a crap what they call themselves, it’s the same malevolent company in cahoots with the progressive communist democrats…

Following in the footsteps of Google’s transformation to Alphabet, rumors abound that Facebook wants to rebrand itself with a new name reflecting more than its social media roots. Under the plans, reported by The Verge, Facebook would change the name of its holding company but not that of its eponymous social media platform, known internally as the “big blue app”. As well as its founding site, the company also owns Instagram, WhatsApp, and the virtual reality brand Oculus.

Who cares? Same management. Same lack of ethics.

Bottom line…

I believe that Facebook head honcho Mark Zuckerberg should be investigated and prosecuted for his overt and deliberate interference with the 2020 elections, regardless of the non-profits and other entities he used to launder his political contributions.

As for Facebook being a player in the cryptocurrency marketplace, I say “no effin way.”

POPE FRANCIS VENTURES BEYOND RELIGION, SUPPORTS COMMUNISM

There is no doubt in my mind that Pope Francis is both a hypocrite and a communist, ironic because communism demands the negation of all religions and morality outside the state’s current and changeable position.

The “World Meeting of Popular Movements” is an initiative of Pope Francis whose “purpose is to create an ‘encounter’ between Church leadership and grassroots organizations working to address the 'economy of exclusion and inequality' by working for structural changes that promote social, economic and racial justice.”

The organization’s name and purpose are indistinguishable from the thousands of Marxist/Socialist/Communist groups seeking to destroy capitalism in favor of a mythical and unattainable version of socialism.

Perhaps if the Pope looked beyond the Holy Bible to study history, he might see the damage that socialism has inflicted on hundreds of millions of individuals, including the gruesome death of over 100 million people worldwide.

Yet, here we have Pope Francis entering the secular world of politics, invoking the name of God to advance what appears to be the current Marxist agenda and talking points.

And I ask everyone in the name of God.

I ask all the great pharmaceutical laboratories to release the patents. Make a gesture of humanity and allow every country, every people, every human being, to have access to the vaccines. There are countries where only three or four per cent of the inhabitants have been vaccinated.

In the name of God, I ask financial groups and international credit institutions to allow poor countries to assure “the basic needs of their people” and to cancel those debts that so often are contracted against the interests of those same peoples.

In the name of God, I ask the great extractive industries -- mining, oil, forestry, real estate, agribusiness -- to stop destroying forests, wetlands and mountains, to stop polluting rivers and seas, to stop poisoning food and people.

In the name of God, I ask the great food corporations to stop imposing monopolistic systems of production and distribution that inflate prices and end up withholding bread from the hungry.

In the name of God, I ask arms manufacturers and dealers to completely stop their activity, because it foments violence and war, it contributes to those awful geopolitical games which cost millions of lives displaced and millions dead.

In the name of God, I ask the technology giants to stop exploiting human weakness, people’s vulnerability, for the sake of profits without caring about the spread of hate speech, grooming, fake news, conspiracy theories, and political manipulation.

[OCS: For centuries, the Church has been about political manipulation, censorship, the suppression of truth, science, and contrarian theological arguments.]

In the name of God, I ask the telecommunications giants to ease access to educational material and connectivity for teachers via the internet so that poor children can be educated even under quarantine.

[OCS: Education or indoctrination – the Church is well acquainted with both.]

In the name of God, I ask the media to stop the logic of post-truth, disinformation, defamation, slander and the unhealthy attraction to dirt and scandal, and to contribute to human fraternity and empathy with those who are most deeply damaged.

[OCS: I seem to remember the Church’s campaign to label pedophile priests and rapists as disinformation, and later as hate speech.]

In the name of God, I call on powerful countries to stop aggression, blockades and unilateral sanctions against any country anywhere on earth. No to neo-colonialism. Conflicts must be resolved in multilateral fora such as the United Nations. We have already seen how unilateral interventions, invasions and occupations end up; even if they are justified by noble motives and fine words.

This is all Marxist bullshittery for the media to convey to the masses. If the Pope had an honest bone in his body, he would realize that he should be asking his Lord and Savior to change human nature and the hearts and minds of man.

Truth be known, the Pope is focused on perpetuating his church’s existence, funding, and political power. Not so much a billion people who want to kill Christian infidels. Not so much nuclear nations like Pakistan, North Korea, and the wannabe Iran. Not so much the intolerance and hate speech promoted in church teachings. Not so much the buggery of minor children and the protection of pedophile priests. Not so much the condemnation of the United Nations’ failure to control mass genocide, organ harvesting, and torture.

And yet, there he goes, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at his side as she advocates for abortion on demand, for any woman, at any time.

#2272 “Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. “A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication….”

#2322 “From its conception, the child has the right to life. Direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, is a "criminal" practice (GS 27 # 3), gravely contrary to the moral law. We judge a man by his actions, not his words. And by this standard, I find the Pope wanting. A communist and a hypocrite. I wonder if the Pope realizes that he acts as a Judas goat and pushes decent individuals closer to the abyss and a meeting with the anti-Christ globalist beast?

I know the difference between good and evil, right and wrong, and I do not require a guide to speak with my God. If I need intercession, I have my parents and relatives who have passed before me – whom I honor by living a mostly decent life.

We must avoid idols and those who would lead us astray for their own purposes. Pray for those who have sacrificed their lives for your freedom. Pray for the wisdom to know good from evil, no matter how well disguised, and pray for the strength to stay the course.

There is little or no doubt in my mind that crazymaking election conspiracy mongers like attorneys Sidney Powell and L. Lin Wood did significant electoral damage to the GOP in Georgia by telling GOP conservatives and others to withhold their votes. As a consequence of this and other actions, the GOP lost two critical Senate races they should have won – and a majority in the United States Senate.

At a “Stop the Steal” rally in Georgia on Wednesday, attorney Lin Wood encouraged supporters of President Donald Trump not to vote for Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the state’s upcoming runoff elections.

The two crucial Georgia runoff elections—which will be held on January 5 with early voting starting December 14—will determine control of the Senate, meaning President-elect Joe Biden’s ability to push through his agenda. Democrats, who narrowly control the House, need to win both seats for a 50-50 split. In that scenario, Vice President Kamala Harris would cast the tie-breaking vote.

Recent election boycott calls driven by Trump supporters, inspired by the president’s allegations of widespread voter fraud, could hinder the GOP’s chances of retaining their majority in the upper chamber. During the pro-Trump protest rally, Wood said to the crowd, “Where’s Kelly Loeffler? Where’s David Perdue? They outta be standing right here.”

“They have not earned your vote,” he said. “Don’t you give it to them. Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election for god’s sake! Fix it! You gotta fix it!” <Source>

Attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood held a press conference in Georgia on Wednesday, where Powell told the crowd not to vote in the upcoming Senate runoff election, a message that directly contrasts with President Donald Trump’s call for Georgians to turn out to vote for Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

Powell, who is not affiliated with Trump’s legal team, told a crowd of supporters, “I think I would encourage all Georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all until your vote is secure, and I mean that regardless of party.”

Powell’s remarks stand in opposition to Trump, who has encouraged Georgians to vote for Loeffler and Perdue on January 5, the day of the runoff election, and has scheduled a rally for Saturday in the Peach State to campaign for the Republican incumbents.

Is history repeating itself, this time with former President Trump himself calling for a voter boycott that will seriously damage marginal GOP races?

What did Trump mean when he announced, “Republicans will not be voting in ’22 or ’24?” Is this a suggestion that if the 2020 election discrepancies are not resolved to his satisfaction, he will urge a GOP election boycott? We are used to inartful-worded tweets, but now is not the time for ambiguity.

Bottom line…

Your vote is one of the most precious rights of citizenship – the backbone of governance with the consent of the governed. Whether we win or lose, you must vote. It is your duty as a citizen and critical to preserving our Constitution, our exceptional country, and our American heritage.

Let no one – even the former President of the United States – tell you to withhold your vote in protest or a show of solidarity to a party or a former president.
