IN TIMES OF NATIONAL CRISIS, THE PROGRESSIVE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS PRIORITIZE THEIR GAY SPOUSES OVER THE WELFARE OF AMERICANS

PB-AENWhat was worse than Joe Biden apologizing for mispronouncing the name of the Executive Director of the Port of Long Beach, Mario Cordero, at a press conference on clearing the container shipping backlog at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, was what wasn’t said…

(1)  The man – and I use the term loosely – who stands between the President of the United States and the Department of Transportation, the openly-gay communist Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, has been on paid maternity leave for the past two months, helping his husband care for their adopted children. We are in a global transportation crisis, and the man whose leadership is critical to our economy and our general welfare is deliberately missing from the chain of command.

It probably doesn’t matter because both the cognitively-impaired Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg collectively know little about supply chain logistics and limit their expertise to pathetic progressive propaganda press conferences.

And let's be real, neither one of these "fathers" went through months of crazy hormonal-driven behavior and post-partum depression. I cannot imagine men of the greatest generation demanding to sit home on paid leave as if the world revolved around their "needs."

(2)  Much of the port’s problems stems from the progressive communist democrats – with the docks being controlled by the unions who routinely resist automation and labor-saving devices and non-natural gas trucks being banned from the port area to satisfy the communist-infiltrated environmentalists.

(3)  It is likely that the massive coastal oil spill, which the commies are using to attempt to kill offshore oil operations, was actually cased by a ship anchor that cut and displaced the pipeline.

Bottom lines…

The days when our national leaders were willing to sacrifice their home comforts in the national interests are long gone. What if Buttigieg had been Secretary of Defense?

We are so screwed.

P.S. Call me what you will, but the sacrament of marriage is between a consenting man (the husband) and a woman (the wife). To attempt the normalization of the non-traditional marriage with mislabeling labels is little more than a communist attempt to disrupt and destroy the nuclear family.

NOT AT MERRICK GARLAND'S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

GARLAND

Say what you may about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell-- we should all be grateful that the Senate did not confirm then-Judge Merrick Garland as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

Garland, as the Attorney General of the United States, has proven himself to be a corrupt, incompetent, hyper-partisan bufoon.

(1)  Garland would prefer to characterize parents who vocally and passionately challenge local school boards as potential domestic terrorists and to mobilize the Department of Justice and FBI resources to deal with this distressing matter. Yes, distressing to the progressive communist democrats on school boards who ignore parental rights to allow life-threatening medical intervention on children without their parent’s knowledge or consent. School boards that want to declare every student to be an oppressor or oppressed based on color and sexual preferences. School boards that ignoring failing schools that are turning out functional illiterates but agonize over allowing boys in girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports. School boards that are altering textbooks, revising history, and openly ignoring American values to teach communism.

fbi-clouseu(2)  It seems Garland is hellbent on pursuing every last person who wandered innocently around the Capitol Complex on January 6, 2021, than prosecuting the actual Antifa and Black Lives Matter domestic terrorists who murdered people and caused over $2 BILLION worth of property damage across the United States-- seemingly with the tacit approval of the progressive communist democrats while dismissing and minimizing actual government-related corruption and criminality.

Why hasn’t the Department of Justice demanded that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate the numerous crimes of the Biden crime family, including the “Big Guy” himself,  based on the solid evidence contained in Hunter Biden’s laptop? It seems that the DOJ has no problem pursuing President Trump on verifiably false information that can be traced directly to the Obama White House, the Democratic National Committee, and the Hillary Clinton campaign.

(3)  Where is the DOJ pushback on restoring the full pension of the former Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who repeatedly leaked information to the press and repeatedly lied to FBI internal investigators, a crime that the FBI uses to trap and punish their political enemies, and who was fired by the then-Attorney General, Jeff Sessions?

McCabe sued the DOJ and, no surprise here, “won” his case with little or no pushback from prosecutors. The verdict, which will not be appealed, restored his full pension, approximately $200,00 in back pension pay., expungement of his firing from his FBI file, and as icing on the cake, retirement cufflinks awarded by the department.

His lawyers will get in taxpayer money for legal fees. He also gets to keep the $566,836 he made off his GoFundMe legal defense page – endlessly flogged by MSNBC’s progressive communist democrat propagandist, Rachel Madcow.

Where was the investigation of the $467,500 that came from Hillary Clinton’s bagman, Terry McAuliffe’s political action committee, and donated to McCabe’s wife’s Senate campaign? An astounding amount for a first-time candidate.

(4)  Where is the investigation of the Capitol Police Department under the auspices of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer?

It appears that the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, now headed by Kristen Clarke, an openly anti-white racist, is quick to jump into police use of force cases resulting in death – no matter if the decedent was a criminal or engaged in criminal conduct.

So where is the investigation of the killing of Ashli Babbitt, the Capitol protester who was killed by an incompetent Capitol Police Officer, Lt. Michael Byrd, while Armed police officers surrounded Babbitt? Why the secrecy? The shooter’s identity was kept secret by Congress and federal and local authorities for eight months. Why the cover-up of what appears to be culpable negligence on the part of Byrd?

Worse, why is the DOJ refusing to release all of the videos of the January 6th incident – and who were those men, dressed all in black, roaming the halls without challenges from other officers? Was the FBI involved – as they are in the majority of terrorist entrapment cases?

Bottom line…

We are so screwed when we can no longer trust our premier intelligence and law enforcement agencies and government institutions.

THE FACE OF DEMOCRAT POLITICAL CORRUPTION

Once again, progressive communist democrats use their positions and our money to personally and professionally profit from the system – at your expense…

BUSINESS-AS-USUAL

From the indictment: "As a public official employed by the County, defendant RIDLEY-THOMAS owed a fiduciary duty to the citizens of the County to perform the duties and responsibilities of his office free from bias, conflicts of interest, self-enrichment, self-dealing, concealment, deceit, fraud, kickbacks, and bribery."

L.A. Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas and ex-USC dean indicted on bribery charges

Los Angeles City Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas was indicted Wednesday on federal charges that he took bribes from a USC dean in exchange for directing millions of dollars in public funding to the university when he was on the L.A. County Board of Supervisors.

Ridley-Thomas is accused of conspiring with Marilyn Louise Flynn, who at the time was dean of USC’s School of Social Work, to steer county money to the university in return for admitting his son Sebastian into the graduate school with a full-tuition scholarship and a paid professorship.

Ridley-Thomas, 66, one of the most powerful figures in Los Angeles politics, is the third L.A. City Council member to face federal corruption charges over the last two years. In a 20-count indictment, he and Flynn face charges of conspiracy, bribery and mail and wire fraud. <Source>

Top California labor official and husband accused of grand theft, embezzlement and tax evasion

The California attorney general’s office has filed felony charges against the executive director of the state’s largest labor union, alleging that an investigation into possible campaign finance violations revealed that Alma Hernández and her husband underreported their income by more than $1.4 million to evade taxes.

seiu-logoHernández resigned as executive director of the Service Employees International Union California State Council, ending her 11-year tenure leading the 700,000-member organization’s advocacy work at the state Capitol, where it’s considered one of the most powerful forces in politics.

STATE OF TERROR: HILLARY CLINTON'S NEW NOVEL

Just in time for Halloween, comes the ironically-named novel “State of Terror,” the latest Hillary Clinton production where, of course, the author’s names are more prominent than the title…

CLINTON-COVER

It appears that the shamelessly corrupt Clinton crime family continues to monetize the infamous Clinton name…

Following  Bill Clinton and James Patterson’s novels, The President Is Missing (2018) and The President’s Daughter (2021), we find the former U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton,  partnering with noted mystery writer Louise Penny to produce “State of Terror.”

Filled with leftist tropes and media-worthy hooks, the plot is about what you would expect from a Marxist with a corrupt ego-centric worldview.

Imagine that the United States had been previously governed by a “delusional” Republican president named Eric Dunn – obviously a wordplay on Trump’s son. He was labeled “President Dumb” by the White House residents. Of course, the increasingly deranged President Dunn did the unthinkable, “pulled out of a nuclear accord with Iran.” leading to the rise of terrorists who could buy or steal nuclear weapons for use against the United States. As if this the same couldn’t be done with the help of fanatics in Pakistan or North Korea. So much for Trump.

The current President, Democrat Doug Williams, is characterized as “rude” and a “fool.” So much for Biden.

More troubling are themes which posit that a nation’s enemies are internal and suggesting there might be some value in co-operating with hostile foreign countries.

The New York Times…

“The plot in “State of Terror” is ambitious and apocalyptic. Nothing less than the future of the world is at stake. As the novel begins, Ellen Adams, the former proprietor of an international media empire, has been improbably appointed U.S. secretary of state by Douglas Williams, the condescending President whose candidacy she had opposed.”

“Clinton and Penny reserve their darkest shade for former President Eric Dunn, a preening, bombastic one-termer who shredded the country’s reputation and retreated to Florida to sulk, play golf and plot his return. Sure, Dunn is charismatic, with an uncanny ability to exploit people’s weaknesses, but he is also an idiot. Even his closest associates called him ‘Eric the Dumb.’” <Source>

The Los Angeles Times…

“Sometimes, the contributions are easy to identify. Here’s Secretary Adams trying to get vital intel from a State Department staff laced with the remaining acolytes of Eric the Dumb: “Ellen couldn’t read these people. They were schooled in hiding their true feelings, certainly their true thoughts. This was partly because of their diplomatic and intelligence training and partly as a result of four years being punished for revealing anything resembling a fact, never mind the truth.” Here and elsewhere in the novel, there is the added frisson of wondering how much of Adams’ opinions and interactions reflects Clinton’s experiences, shared more openly under cover of fiction. That it is hard to tell is a credit to the plausibility of the plot and characterizations that are all too human.” <Source>

Amazon…

“What begins as a series of apparent terrorist attacks is revealed to be the beginning of an international chess game involving the volatile and Byzantine politics of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran; the race to develop nuclear weapons in the region; the Russian mob; a burgeoning rogue terrorist organization; and an American government set back on its heels in the international arena.

As the horrifying scale of the threat becomes clear, Secretary Adams and her team realize it has been carefully planned to take advantage of four years of an American government out of touch with international affairs, out of practice with diplomacy, and out of power in the places where it counts the most.

’To defeat such an intricate, carefully constructed conspiracy, it will take the skills of a unique team: a passionate young FSO; a dedicated journalist; and a smart, determined, but as yet untested new secretary of state.” <Source>

Bottom line…

One cannot help but wonder if this book is a staged “red herring” designed to fictionalize, confuse, and conflate real conspiratorial matters that are coming to light with the serious indictment of Perkins-Coie attorney Michael Sussmann, a known Democrat operative working on behalf of, you guessed it, co-author Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Considering the amount of media attention, perhaps the grand Clinton conspiracy can be muted – if it isn’t canceled or censored by the tech tyrants and media moguls.

We are so screwed that this human piece of garbage is feted in the media rather than in a jail cell.

HOW MUCH DEMOCRAT DAMAGE TO AMERICA WILL PEOPLE TOLERATE?

Our nation is in peril, not so much from external forces, but the internal forces of American Marxism (aka communism), which is being perverted into a system to perpetuate the power and profits of the “elite” leaders of our nation, the very people that communism reviles and revolts against. It is increasingly ironic that those who scream “systemic racism” are those controlling the system. And you can be damn sure that they do not want to give up their power. Ask yourself how Fidel Castro died a billionaire while his fellow Cubans lived in poverty and squalor under communism – where 99.9% of the people are EQUALLY miserable?

The Democrat Party no longer exists, and its one-time patriotism is long gone. They are evil precursors to the decline and eventual transformation of America into an unexceptional third-world nation.

Did you ask a corrupt, mentally-incapacitated President, managed by minders, and a razor-thin Democrat majority in the U.S. Congress to fundamentally change the United States’ economy?

Press Briefing by Press Secretary Jen Psaki, October 12, 2021

MS. PSAKI: It’s more of an ongoing conversation than it is a passing back of dramatic paper every couple of days. So, there’s an ongoing discussion with Senator Sinema, Senator Manchin. There’s an ongoing discussion with a range of members of Congress, maj- — range of Democrats, I should say — about what this looks like.

And again, as Speaker Pelosi alluded to this morning — or said this morning, this is really the point where decisions need to be made, choices need to be made.

The President’s preference is the same as the Speaker’s preference. We — he proposed a $3.5 trillion package. He proposed a broad range of initiatives that will lower costs for the American people, whether it’s childcare, eldercare, college, invest in the climate. And no matter how you cut it though, his view is we can still do something historic and that will fundamentally change — change the economy for the American people. <Source>

[OCS: Biden and the Democrats will do or say anything to advance their agenda, even lying to the American public…

“He proposed a broad range of initiatives that will lower costs for the American people, whether it’s childcare, eldercare, college, invest in the climate.” Like keeping your doctor under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) which was neither affordable nor protected patients. What it did was pack the Medicaid roles with illegal aliens.

Or explaining that the actual cost of his $3.5 TRILLION spending plan did not affect the debt…

President Biden on Friday insisted that his $3.5 trillion social welfare bill has a “zero price tag” and the spending will be fully paid for.

Speaking at the White House, Mr. Biden vowed that Democrats are “going to pay for everything we spend.”

“It is zero price tag on the debt,” Mr. Biden said. “We are going to pay for everything we spend.” <Source> ]

Did you ask our government to disarm our nation and compromise our military unilaterally?

It appears that the only state secrets that are sacrosanct are those relating to the criminality and unconstitutionality associated with the Obama and Biden administrations. With a super-secret classification on anything involving former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and a minimal cadre of top-level “friends.”

tds-hdr

Why Did U.S. Declassify Size of Its Nuclear Stockpile?

Virtue signaling about transparency and disarmament goals will not be the way to prevent nuclear war.

Recent discoveries of new missile silo construction sites indicate that China is building up to 360 new silos equipped with long-range missiles that analysts think may carry three to five warheads each (some analysts even claim they could carry up to 10). If taken to their maximum, these numbers could exceed the United States’ arsenal of long-range missiles. This does not even include warheads deployed on other Chinese delivery platforms.

According to the State Department’s announcement, declassifying the U.S. stockpile fosters transparency, which is “important to nonproliferation and disarmament efforts.” The declassification might be an effort of good faith to show Russia and China we are leading the way to global disarmament.

But would that really convince Russia and China to reverse course and agree to limits on their nuclear weapon buildups? Does doing the “right thing” mean that our adversaries will follow? Unlikely.

This is especially true when Russia and China know that the U.S. has no current capability to produce new nuclear weapons. While the U.S. is working to rebuild its nuclear production infrastructure since allowing it to atrophy after the Cold War, we are currently the only nuclear weapons state in the world—including North Korea—that can’t build a nuclear weapon.

Our adversaries already know that the only direction the size of our nuclear arsenal can go right now is down.

Until that changes, why would they have any incentive to pump the breaks on their own production lines?  <Source>

[OCS: The Democrats can’t be trusted with the safety and security of the United States. Perhaps that is the true goal as they attempt to destroy our capitalist economy and bring about a socialist/communist state in solidarity with the international communists in China and Russia?]

Why is the Biden Administration following in the footsteps of former President Barack Obama and trying to rehabilitate the Iranian economy and ensure they become a nuclear power with control over the Middle East region?

There is little doubt in my mind that Obama and John Brennan, the Director of the C.I.A., were both anti-America, anti-Israel, pro-Iran Islamicists that saw the creation of a nuclear Iran as a solution to “stabilize” the Middle East. Yeah, right!

Since the Obamacons run Biden, there is little doubt that Obama’s wishes are being executed to the detriment of the United States. In fact, what other reason can be given to ensure that America’s energy independence is reversed and we start pumping dollars into the hostile Middle East as they provide oil to a now-needy America?

nr-hdr

Is the C.I.A. Determined to Look Away from Iran?

It’s dangerously unwise of the Biden administration to make bureaucratic moves that signal a softer line on the Iranian threat.

According to the New York Times, the C.I.A. is about to reorganize itself to deal with the threat of China — by creating a China Mission Center.

The Biden administration has eliminated the office of special representative for Venezuela and its staff, as well as the large Venezuela staff in the Western Hemisphere Affairs Bureau and the position of deputy assistant secretary for Venezuela and Cuba. To officials in the U.S. government and other governments, and to Venezuelans, the message is clear: This issue is going to get a lot less attention at the top.

In another worrisome change, it seems that the C.I.A., while building up its resources for China, is taking apart those for Iran. The Iran Mission Center is to be dissolved, and its near-legendary leader, Mike D’Andrea, is retiring. The Times reported this: “The appointment in 2017 of Mr. D’Andrea, who had a long career leading operations against Al Qaeda and other terrorist targets, was a sign of the Trump administration’s hard line on Iran. And inside the C.I.A., Mr. D’Andrea helped craft a more muscular approach against Tehran.”

Yes, indeed — so what is the message being sent now? Clearly, that less attention will be given to Iran and that a softer approach is desired.

This is exactly the wrong moment to send such a message.

Iran is violating not only the Obama Iran deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), every day, but also the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (N.P.T.), and continues to refuse the International Atomic Energy Agency access that is required of every N.P.T. signatory.

As is becoming clearer by the day, Iran is not intending to return to the JCPOA, and the new government of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani is taking a far harder line.

At this exact moment, it seems dangerously unwise to make bureaucratic moves that signal a softer line on the Iranian threat and less attention to it at the top.

Other governments, including that in Tehran, and officials in our own government will see the departure of D’Andrea and the closing of the Iran Mission Center as a message — and it is precisely the wrong message to send right now.

The deeper problem, of course, is that this message may give an accurate sense of Biden administration policy. Iran’s conduct is worse and worse, but there is no sign that the Biden administration is yet contemplating the tougher steps it must take as Iran proceeds apace toward possessing a nuclear weapon and the means to deliver it.

Dreams of a return to the JCPOA seem to die hard. And the great danger the administration seems most acutely determined to avoid is any move that might invite comparison to its predecessor and the “maximum pressure” campaign of 2019–21.<Source>

Bottom line…

We are living in perilous times – with the progressive communist democrats at the root of the evil. Not that they are not being assisted by a spineless GOP, unwilling to take decisive action to save our country.

DEMOCRATS-CANCER

It appears that the Democrat Party, and the establishment wing of the G.O.P., actually admire the Chinese authoritarian model of government and would like to implement aspects of its top-down surveillance and population control here in the United States.

And the billionaire fools, knaves, and useful idiots are helping the Democrat-Communists to walk into our nation – and being welcomed by those who have the most to gain. I wonder if they read and understand historical precedent – that they will be the first ones executed come the revolution?

We are so screwed.

RETHINKING THE USE OF GOOGLE CHROME

Google's Latest Tracking Nightmare For Chrome Comes In Two Parts

A worrying new update from Google that hasn’t yet made headlines has put Chrome’s 2.6 billion users at risk. If you’re one of those users, this just gave you a reason to quit.

Chrome has serious issues when it comes to protecting your security and your privacy. The world’s leading browser has issued one urgent fix after another this year, as high-risk exploits have been found in the wild; and just a few weeks ago, Google finally admitted it had “accidentally” allowed millions of users to be secretly tracked.

Google says it wants to change, to put your privacy first, that web tracking is now out of control and has resulted in “an erosion of trust.” But as DuckDuckGo warns, “it’s all noise until Google actually agrees to collect less data and do less behavioral targeting.”

The latest tracking nightmare for Chrome users comes in two parts. First, Google has ignored security warnings and launched a new Chrome API to detect and report when you’re “idle,” i.e., not actively using your device. Apple warns “this is an obvious privacy concern,” and Mozilla that it’s “too tempting an opportunity for surveillance.”

Google, though, isn’t listening, reinforcing its fairly narrow use case while staying silent on these warnings. “This feature,” Google told me, “which we only expect to be used by a small fraction of sites, requires the site to ask for the user’s permission to access this data. It was built with privacy in mind, and helps messaging applications deliver notifications to only the device the user is currently using.”

Google’s Idle Detection API is worrying enough, but there’s worse to come. In the aftermath of FLoC’s awkward failure, Google is now touting a new idea to serve the needs of its customers—advertisers—while talking up privacy. The issue is that this is an impossible contortion. It just doesn’t work. And Apple has suddenly shown its 1.5 billion users just how exposed Chrome’s surveillance business model has now become.

Mozilla has publicly warned that Chrome is now “the only major browser that does not offer meaningful protection against cross-site tracking... and will continue to leave users unprotected.”

Rather than take Apple’s approach, that your privacy should be sacrosanct, Google wants to “budget” how invasive data harvesting can be. Rather than simply stopping web trackers from collecting your data, Google plans to introduce a “privacy budget,” whereby it will police just how much data they can take—so much and no more.

The theory is understandable. Websites are limited to what they can take from the privacy bank—that currency is obviously your data. Once they're fully drawn down, the privacy bank shuts and they can’t withdraw any more for a time.

Google is caught in a self-made trap. Unlike Mozilla, Brave, Microsoft, DuckDuckGo and Apple, of course, the company needs to play both sides of the fence. It may talk about safeguarding your privacy, but compromising that privacy to serve the needs of advertisers—its customers—is literally its business model. Just follow the money.

“Google has shown time and time again they care more about the perception of privacy than actually respecting it,” DuckDuckGo told me.

Is it dramatic to suggest you quit Chrome? That depends on the value you place on your own privacy. If Google’s hidden budgeting and monetizing of your data isn’t a reason to quit, what about adding Idle Detection in such a way that you need to change your settings to avoid the intrusion.

<Source>

Google needs to get inside your head…

google-balance

The problem with Google’s business model is that they must straddle a fine line between ensuring their users' privacy; notice I do not say customers because Google’s customers are their advertising clients and their paying customers. What sets Google and other advertising platforms apart from institutional scattershot advertisers is their ability to provide targeted tracking information about the intended recipient. Ostensibly to produce a better user experience by reducing unwanted spam. A side effect of convincing advertisers is that they cannot only target their intended prospect’s demographics (location and socioeconomic information) and psychographics (psychological attributes, such as values or attitudes used for marketing purposes) -- but track their responses to various design elements and offers.

Bottom line…

The magic key to the user’s adoption of connected devices is well-known: do not give them an easy opt-out option.

Why is this important, and you need to be vigilant? As we increasingly monitor our health and home through connected devices, the need for privacy increases. Privacy from the government, wannabe politicians, evildoers, insurers, employers, neighbors, activists, and, of course, advertisers. All big tech companies have employees with keys to the kingdom who care little about sacrificing your privacy to advance their personal or political agenda. The answer is to restrict data capture because they can not disclose that which they don’t know.

Even worse than disseminating the raw data are scoring systems that can be misused in several ways detrimental to your health and wellbeing.

We must educate ourselves on the elements of user-focused design where ease of function encourages actions that would normally require a second thought, deceptive unilateral terms of service that convey rights to companies that they do not deserve, and worst of all, default options by design must be explicitly checked to avoid normally troubling issues.

Be awake and aware to avoid the inevitable screwing by the big tech tyrants and their counterpart, the media moguls.

COLUMBUS DAY 2021

Christopher Columbus, a Genoa, Italy-born Spanish explorer whose arrival in the Americas on October 12, 1492, is celebrated as Columbus Day, a national holiday in the United States...

All summed up neatly by Matt Walsh's tweets…

Once again, we are reminded that the useful idiots following in the wake of their progressive communist democrat overlords are little more than bitchy little girls who no longer know the fundamental differences between men and women and need to be told what bathroom to use.

But since the character assassination of Christopher Columbus, led by "pseudo-historians" who have a difficult time realizing that 100 years of communism has lead to the deaths of a hundred million human beings and the suffering of countless others, we find individuals eager to destroy the historical record based on what was acceptable behavior long ago. Long ago, when men were men, and definitely not women.

Blithering Biden…

Instead of celebrating the accomplishments of Christopher Columbus and his intrepid band of explorers, Biden, or those pulling Biden's strings, cannot help but injecting identity politics in this day of remembrance and celebration. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for turning the celebration of a historical event into a dark, negative reminder that history is not often pretty and that we have significantly evolved since those historical times.

Notice that without the overlined parts, this would have been an acceptable proclamation.
And, Columbus did not set sail as an Italian, but for the greater glory of Spain.

More than 500 years ago, after securing the support of Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II, Christopher Columbus launched the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria from the coast of Spain in 1492.  While he intended to end his quest in Asia, his 10-week journey instead landed him on the shores of the Bahamas, making Columbus the first of many Italian explorers to arrive in what would later become known as the Americas.

Many Italians would follow his path in the centuries to come, risking poverty, starvation, and death in pursuit of a better life.  Today, millions of Italian Americans continue to enrich our country's traditions and culture and make lasting contributions to our Nation — they are educators, health care workers, scientists, first responders, military service members, and public servants, among so many other vital roles.

Today, we also acknowledge the painful history of wrongs and atrocities that many European explorers inflicted on Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities.  It is a measure of our greatness as a Nation that we do not seek to bury these shameful episodes of our past — that we face them honestly, we bring them to the light, and we do all we can to address them.

For Native Americans, western exploration ushered in a wave of devastation:  violence perpetrated against Native communities, displacement and theft of Tribal homelands, the introduction and spread of disease, and more.  On this day, we recognize this painful past and recommit ourselves to investing in Native communities, upholding our solemn and sacred commitments to Tribal sovereignty, and pursuing a brighter future centered on dignity, respect, justice, and opportunity for all people.

In commemoration of Christopher Columbus's historic voyage 529 years ago, the Congress, by joint resolution of April 30, 1934, and modified in 1968 (36 U.S.C. 107), as amended, has requested the President proclaim the second Monday of October of each year as "Columbus Day."

Today, let this day be one of reflection — on America's spirit of exploration, on the courage and contributions of Italian Americans throughout the generations, on the dignity and resilience of Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities, and on the work that remains ahead of us to fulfill the promise of our Nation for all.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim October 11, 2021, as Columbus Day.  I direct that the flag of the United States be displayed on all public buildings on the appointed day in honor of our diverse history and all who have contributed to shaping this Nation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of October, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-sixth.

                              JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR.

For some reason, educated, middle-class, suburban white women are still shocked when they read history, especially as interpreted through the false lens of pseudo-historians with a radical far-left agenda. An un-American agenda, to say the least. These appear to be the same women who buy romance novels featuring alpha males, Navy SEALS, and billionaires. They never give due credit and consideration to the real men and women who built the world they live in – a comfortable world where they assume tomorrow will be much the same as yesterday.

This dangerous naivete is what is destroying America.

We are so screwed.

LLOYD AUSTIN: COLOR OVER COMPETENCE AND HONOR?

AustinAfter his appearance with Generals Milley and McKenzie before the Senate Armed Services Committee testifying on the drawdown and evacuation operations in Afghanistan, I am reminded that former General Lloyd Austin, the 28th Secretary of Defense, is the military equivalent of Dr. Anthony Fauci – a politician trained bureaucrat mouthing the platitudes promoted by mid-level political operatives in the corrupt, incompetent, and morally bankrupt Biden Administration.

Why Austin, Milley, and McKenzie are still in positions of power after leaving American citizens – including California schoolchildren – behind enemy lines to be hunted, captured, raped, tortured, or killed by the Taliban is beyond my comprehension. These men of position and power knew the military’s capabilities and yet did little or nothing to push back against orders from mid-level apparatchiks from the State Department to load bodies – apparently any bodies – on aircraft and fly them out of the area.

In his testimony, Austin said, “By late April, two weeks after the President’s decision, military planners had crafted a number of evacuation scenarios. In mid-May, I ordered Central Command to make preparations for a potential non-combatant evacuation operation. Two weeks later, I began pre-positioning forces in the region, to include three infantry battalions. On the 10th of August, we ran another table- top exercise around a non-combatant evacuation scenario. We wanted to be ready. And we were.” <Source>

Yet, on July 5, 2021, orders were executed to abandon Bagram Air Base in the dead of night, with no warning given to our allies and the end of critical intelligence and air support for the Afghan military. In effect, they were abandoning our only secure and defensible airbase with long dual runways that could have facilitated an orderly evacuation. There was no legitimate purpose for giving up a strategic U.S. asset and maintaining a minimal military presence to counter regional threats other than crafting a legacy for a corrupt addled old man who serves as a sock puppet for Barack Obama and his cadre of anti-America Obamacons.

Breaking tradition with those generals and admirals who resigned their positions rather than execute idiotic and dangerous plans.  Instead of sounding a public alarm to encourage debate, Austin, Milley, and McKenzie continued to offer up their mealy-mouthed platitudes and bromides.

Think back to the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia, popularly immortalized as “Black Hawk Down,” after which Secretary of Defense Les Aspin resigned -- one of the shortest tenures of a SecDef.

In September 1993, General Powell asked Aspin to approve the request of the U.S. commander in Somalia for tanks, armored vehicles and AC-130 Spectre gunships for his forces. Aspin turned down the request and didn't take Powell's request seriously.

At some point during a luncheon meeting while Powell presented to Aspin on the need of additional tanks, armored vehicles, AC-130 Spectre gunships air-support to support the U.S. Troops that were about to be deploy for Battle of Mogadishu and discussing the battle preparation, instead of paying attention to Powell recommendation, Aspin was more focused on wolfing down his salad, causing Powell grew more irritated towards Aspin and was believed to be the primary reason of Powell early departure as Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Shortly thereafter Aidid's forces in Mogadishu killed 18 U.S. soldiers and wounded more than 75 in attacks that also resulted in the shooting down of two U.S. helicopters and the capture of one pilot in the Battle of Mogadishu.

In the face of severe congressional criticism, Aspin admitted that in view of what had happened he had made a mistake, but stated that the request for armored equipment had been made within the context of delivering humanitarian aid to Somalia rather than protecting troops.

In an appearance before a congressional committee to answer questions about the Somalia disaster, Aspin made an unfavorable impression and appeared weak in response to the detailed probing and criticism of his performance. The president publicly defended Aspin but made clear that the White House was not involved in the decision not to send armor reinforcements to Somalia.

Several members of Congress called on Clinton to ask for Aspin's resignation. On 15 December 1993 President Clinton announced Aspin's resignation, for personal reasons. Given the problems that Aspin encountered during his short term, most obviously the losses in Mogadishu, observers assumed that the president had asked him to step down. <Source>

So why should I respect or even believe anything that SecDef Austin says?

Statement by Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III on the Economic Consequences of Default on National Security and Military Families

The United States reached the debt limit at the end of July. Since then, the U.S. Treasury has been taking extraordinary measures to prevent the United States from defaulting on its obligations.

[OCS: The debt limit applies only to new spending and should not be confused or conflated with a continuing resolution that keeps the government open. One key to our future military and economic survival is prioritizing spending on critical items, cutting back foreign aid, and curtailing meaningless district pork payments to purchase votes.]

If the United States defaults, it would undermine the economic strength on which our national security rests.

[OCS: Our strength rests on a robust, nuclear-powered military and the will to use it to protect the interests of the United States. As proven by the Communist Chinese Virus pandemic, our economic strength is questionable.]

It would also seriously harm our service members and their families because, as Secretary, I would have no authority or ability to ensure that our service members, civilians, or contractors would be paid in full or on time.

[OCS: Considering the trillions of unspent, pre-allocated dollars, this is little more than a bookkeeping problem.]

Here are some other potential impacts:

The benefits earned by and owed to 2.4 million military retirees and 400,000 survivors would also be at risk.

[OCS: Why are these funds not protected with these payments treated as a pension plan, with a pension trust that is separate from the government’s general operating fund? Or is this part of a Ponzi scheme or phony political pressure point? Why isn’t the SecDef fighting for people under his authority?]

Federal contractors, including large firms and thousands of small businesses that provide our military with world-class services, technology, and equipment, could have their payments delayed, jeopardizing their operations and many American jobs.

A default risks undermining the international reputation of the United States as a reliable and trustworthy economic and national security partner.

[OCS: After the debacle in Afghanistan, this is a joke. Who in the international community fears or respects the Biden Administration? If not for the outward flow of taxpayer money, the Biden Administration would be an untrustworthy irrelevancy – even worse than the Obama Administration.]

A default also risks undermining the stature of the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency of choice.

[OCS: Already, the Chinese, Russians, and others are using their own version of a reserve currency – weakening the ability of the United States to impose financial sanctions on other countries.]

Our service members and Department of Defense civilians live up to their commitments.

My hope is that, as a nation, we will come together to ensure we meet our obligations to them, without delay or disruption.

[OCS: I hope that you resign or are fired – and that your service as a director at companies like Raytheon, Tenet, Nucor, and others evaporates.]

Bottom line…

Congress and the American people need to demand that Austin resign in disgrace.
