KARDASHIAN-POLITICS: CAITLYN JENNER FOR CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR

I do not doubt that Bruce Jenner was a superb Olympic gold-winning athlete and, as Caitlyn Jenner, a horrible reality show performer on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and its spin-off, “I Am Cait.”…

sm

As a Republican nominee for Governor, if Gavin Newsolini is recalled, Jenner is a no-go. Even with casual help from former Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale. There are infinitely better choices; even the alphabet people in the LGBTQ-rights community are unlikely to support her given her association with Donald Trump.

One might think that such an underdog would open with a splash instead of a sad, barren website devoid of issue positions and only selling campaign-logo merchandise and soliciting donations…

cjfg

Déjà vu all over again…

Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, the abject failure of a celebrity governor who governed like a corrupt progressive socialist democrat rather than a Republican, Jenner, too, is running as a celebrity Republican. I cannot imagine what qualifies Jenner to manage a complex state in decline like California. Certainly not her degree in physical education from Graceland College in 1973. Certainly not her business experience with endorsements and other ventures. Certainly not her transgender activism.  And certainly not her ability to boost Republican fortunes in a one-party state. Perhaps, she believes the Governorship is a “titular title?” Other than her Olympic success, Jenner’s real claim to fame is as the father of the uber-cute multi-mega-millionaires, Kylie and Kendell Jenner.

My choices…

If I wanted a celebrity likely to be a solid conservative and an effective governor, I would select the iconic actor James Woods – the man who voluntarily called the FBI to report what is now known to have been a 9/11 trial run by the terrorists aboard Woods' aircraft.

Richard_Grenell_official_portrait

But, if I wanted a media-savvy political fighter who is unafraid of controversy, my first choice would be Ric Grenell, U.S. State Department spokesperson to the United Nations, Special Presidential Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo Peace Negotiations, United States Ambassador to Germany, and the Acting Director of National Intelligence. And a Republican!

Bottom line…

I am not sure this is a media stunt, the right of an ego-manic to be known as a former gubernatorial candidate, or a chance to build a war check that can be leveraged into a cushy political appointment? But there is no way I would want to repeat the Schwarzenegger experience with a c-class celebrity.

And for comic relief, let us not forget that Mary Carey, the former porn star, is also officially running for California governor.

We are so screwed.

HOW SICK AND TWISTED IS FORMER PRESIDENT OBAMA'S MAIN ADVISOR?

Valerie Jarrett, the senior advisor to former President Barack Obama and assistant to the president for public engagement and intergovernmental affairs from 2009 to 2017, is one sick representative of the radical progressive socialist democrats.

vj

A Columbus, Ohio police officer shot and killed a sixteen-year-old black girl caught on video as she was swinging a knife towards her intended victim while screaming, “I’m gonna stab the fuck out of you, bitch.”  At least one teenager and possibly two were saved that day. Yet, you find black ideologues like Jarrett trying to inject race and inappropriate use of force by a white police officer against a black teenager in a clear-cut threatening situation.

I guess police officers should allow murders in their presence.

I guess only some black lives (the thugs, criminals, crazies, druggies, and terrorists) who support our malignant narrative matter more than others.

Is justice allowing an innocent victim to die at the hands of an assailant?

Accountability? Valerie Jarrett needs to be canceled and removed from all positions of responsibility.

Bottom line…

This is real, it’s disgusting, and it’s what you get with the radical black elites that are making policy in the Biden Administration.

We are so screwed.

THEY ARE COMING FOR YOUR SECRETS

A26513D5-EEAB-4BE3-9D18-8C6EFF385D82

Your information security is slip-sliding away...

We have witnessed the subversion of this nation’s premier intelligence and law enforcement agencies by the progressive socialist/communist democrats with the tacit permission of a Democrat-majority Congress—including the cover-up of unconstitutional abuses of power and criminal activities.

With the judiciary's abject failure, things may be rapidly progressing toward turning America into Venezuela.

All of the respect I had for the United States Supreme Court vanished the day they refused to accept legitimate cases involving disputes between the states, disputes between the Circuit Courts, and significant questions of constitutionality.

Now we see the final push towards a surveillance state where secure, confidential, proprietary and private communications protected by strong encryption is about to be breached by Presidential fiat or Congressional mandate.

In today’s uncertain environment, it is questionable whether or not the technology oligarchs and tyrants will stand strong over the use of government-accessible back doors and encryption key repositories as they have done in the past.
Especially with multi-billion dollar long-term government contracts in play.

There is no doubt in my mind that secure communications are critical for the preservation of freedom, democracy, and the protection of individual property rights. Not to mention the protection of jurors, journalists, and activists struggling to bring freedom to oppressed people in totalitarian states

If you believe that the government can maintain secrets, remember that the Chinese government compromised the Office of Personnel Management to grab data on all government employees, including personal and private information obtained during the security clearance process. Or the actions of Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning, who used their keys to the kingdom to compromise highly classified information.

Bottom line...

No matter how smart the designers, engineers, and chip architects may appear, there is always someone smarter or, more likely, someone who will compromise someone with the “keys to the kingdom” to gain access.

If intelligence and law enforcement agencies can use a government-mandated system to read encrypted messages, our enemies and criminals are sure to exploit these same methods.

We are so screwed.

RACE IN AMERICA: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

323FE63B-65E6-43AA-8CFE-15BCB8E5F89FMalice in Wonderland...

If one wanted to live comfortably and unmolested in a Democrat-dominated world, perhaps the Columbus, Ohio police officer should have held his fire and allowed one black teenager to stab another black teenager. Or stab two teens, as the case may be.

No harm, no foul because the Democrats, their captive mainstream media, race-baiters, activists, and Black Lives Matter accept this type of violence as normal and customary in the black community. Black-on-Black crime often goes unnoticed and unpunished in the inner cities.

After the unjust conviction of Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for the in-custody death of George Floyd, perhaps a new policing paradigm is in order? Ignore all black-on-black crime as if the police were defunded and were unavailable to respond and intervene.

A police officer finishes his shift, goes home, enjoys time with his family, and then sleeps comfortably with nary a thought of the mob, race-baiting agitators, or asswipe race-hustling attorneys like Benjamin Crump. Crump, who had tweeted out that the assailant in Columbus, Ohio was unarmed even though the police released body-camera footage clearly and unequivocally shows the assailant swinging a knife towards one victim just as she was shot. A totally justifiable use of deadly force to protect the life of a third party.

The level of Democrat dishonesty is amazing. First, Crump claiming the girl was unarmed; second, the New York Times falsely editing the tweet, and when caught, claimed that Crump “misspoke;” and third, the self-described “aunt” telling reporters that the girl dropped the knife BEFORE she was shot four times.

I wonder how long it will be before a “family attorney” files a “wrongful death” suit, claiming that four shots prove the officer used “excessive” force and the girl would still be alive after being stopped by a single shot? Perhaps claiming the girl was bullied in a hostile foster family home, had mental problems, and required a psychologist rather than a police officer?

It appears that the radical progressive Democrats are attempting to secure their black voter base before the 2022 midterm election by racializing everything they touch. America be damned.

Bottom line...

I find it disgusting that the Democrats suggest that the police shooting of a 16-year-old girl just before she attacked another girl with a knife has either a racial component or is an indication of poor policing.

I hear nothing about the shooting of multiple children attending a birthday party in which nobody is willing to cooperate with the police in solving this heinous crime.

We also find Attorney General Merrick Garland opening a civil investigation into potential “unconstitutional” practices in the Minneapolis, Minnesota Police Department. Garland rushed to link the conviction of Derek Chauvin for the in-custody death of George Floyd to broader police misconduct, including a pattern or practice of unlawful policing. Not to mention claims of systemic racism.

If racism was such a factor in the George Floyd case, why did the Farrakhan-acolyte, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and his minions never mention race in a court of law but had no problem yammering about race on the streets and in the media?

It appears that the Marxist/Communist infiltrated Democrat Party is trying to bring about a race-based revolution. And as far as I can tell, they are succeeding.

We are so screwed.

COLUMBUS SHOOTING: TIME TO LOOT A STORE?

Same old, same old…

Police received a 911 call at 4:35 p.m. about an attempted stabbing on the 3100 block of Legion Lane, which is located north of Chatterton Road. The caller reported a female was trying to stab them, then the caller hung up.

In an unprecedented move, Columbus police showed body camera footage of the shooting of a 16-year-old girl by a Columbus police officer just hours after the incident on the Southeast Side.

The video shows an officer approaching a driveway with a group of young people standing there. In the video, it appears that the 16-year-old, identified now as Ma’Khia Bryant, who was moments later shot by police, pushes or swings at a person, who falls to the ground.

Bryant then appears to swing a knife at a girl who is on the hood of a car, and the officer fires his weapon what sounds like four times, striking Bryant, who died a short time later.

Of course, the dead teenager’s aunt was quoted as saying that the teen had dropped the knife before she was shot.

Hazel Bryant told The Dispatch that she is the aunt of Ma’Khia Bryant. The girl lived in a foster home there on Legion Lane and got into an altercation with someone else at the home, she said.  Bryant said her niece had a knife, but maintained that the girl dropped the knife before she was shot multiple times by a police officer. <Source>

The politicians are quick to pander…

Kiara Yakita, founder of the Black Liberation Movement Central Ohio, said she is not surprised that another police shooting happened. "Why did they kill this baby?" she asked aloud. Mike Fair, 63, of the East Side, brought an amplifier and a microphone to the scene, and expressed his anger, suggesting "there should be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."  We're not going to sit here and just sit around while you kill us, then go back in the suburbs," one protester said. "Over and over, keep killing us" another protester said. Hana Abdur-Rahim, with the Black Abolitionists Collective, said, "We are in a literal genocide. We are fighting for our lives."

Bottom line…

Who knows how it will turn out for the police officer? Had the police officer permitted the stabbing, he would have been guilty of dereliction of duty. Will there be a violent protest, I guess we will have to wait for the professional agitators to arrive.

We are so screwed.

SOMETHING DODGY ABOUT MIKE LINDELL'S FRANKSPEECH.COM

There is no doubt in my mind that former President Donald Trump is not averse to working with dodgy characters and some of those associated with his stolen election claims seem dodgier than most. Sidney Powell, General Mike Flynn, L. Lin Wood, and the MyPillow CEO, Mike Lindell, come to mind.

Lindell promised to spend millions building out the infrastructure to compete with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Amazon, so I waited impatiently to experience Lindell’s new venture, “Frank,” and signed up for VIP access. Access that never came on schedule. And when accessed, the site looked amateurish and uninviting. Since all new ventures experience glitches and growing pains, I decided to peek behind the curtain to see which world-class group was building out the site. Unfortunately, my first impressions were negative and made me wonder if the hype exceeds reality.

I think my first shock was finding out that certain curse words (the n-word, the c-word, and the f-word) were banned, as was using the Lord’s name in vain. Not only curious for a free speech site but one that indicates the platform owner’s selective religious-based censorship.

My journey began at the bottom of Frank’s web page, where we find that the supposedly bulletproof site was “Proudly Built and Powered by Johnston Howse, LLC.

Clicking on the link brings us to a webpage hosted by a third-party, drag-and-drop website builder, Squarespace…

Bottom line…

Sorry, but the names Sidney Powell, Mike Flynn, L. Lin Wood, and Mike Lindell raise red flags. As 2022 approaches, I hope Trump (and his family) stays clear of dodgy characters that can be exploited by the Marxist mainstream media and detract from the real message of freedom for America. As for "Frank," I am not sure that it can compete with all of the newly-created content platforms such as those run by Epoch Times, the Daily Wire, and others.

DEREK CHAUVIN: A WIN FOR THE MOB AND PROGRESSIVE PROSECUTORS, A LOSS FOR AMERICAN JUSTICE AND THE RULE OF LAW

badge

As was expected, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been found guilty of the in-custody death of George Floyd.

However, it was unexpected that the Jury would find Chauvin guilty on all three counts: unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. After only ten or so hours of deliberations, with no questions asked of the Judge, the finding indicates, at least to me, that the jury may have been coerced by the mass civil protests and violence and fearful of their own safety. As I feared, they may have whiffed, leaving it to the Appellate Court to resolve.

I lay much of the blame for Chauvin’s conviction primarily on Hennepin County Court Judge Peter Cahill, whose denial of a change of venue, postponement, or jury sequestration, along with consistently favorable rulings for the prosecution, led to this lopsided jury finding.

Especially when the City of Minneapolis announced on March 12th, about two weeks before jury selection began, they had authorized a $27 million settlement of the civil lawsuit filed by the Floyd family. This unprecedented payout signaled to everyone that the city believed that Chauvin’s guilt was incontrovertible. As for the size of the settlement, one can only note that it wasn’t the politician’s money being used.

While the case is appealed, Chauvin must be kept in solitary confinement to protect him from inmates who might want a chance of fame by killing him, thus adding harsher conditions than faced by other inmates.

The big lie…

I have lost respect for Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), who rushed to the cameras to issue a statement. “George Floyd died because Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck and stopped him from breathing for more than nine minutes. There is no question in my mind that the jury reached the right verdict.” Was he not listening to the expert testimony that indicated that Chauvin did not kneel on his neck and stop him from breathing for more than nine minutes?

And from the big liar, President Joe Biden chimed in with his racialized identity politics, "It was a murder in the full light of day and it ripped the blinders off the whole world to see. Systemic racism is a stain on our nation’s soul.”

It gets worse...

It appears Chauvin's sentencing on the most serious of the three charges, second-degree murder will be in 8 weeks, and the State has filed a "Blakely motion" to allow for aggravated sentencing, above and beyond published guidelines. The motion will be argued over the coming weeks as sentencing approaches.

Bottom line…

If you still believe in justice, ask why the police officer who shot and killed protester Ashli Babbitt has not been identified? Why is he not on trial for shooting an unarmed individual who presented no threat and was simply trespassing? What about reckless endangerment, shooting in the presence of armed officers on the other side of the door? Shouldn't we know his training, instructions, and who authorized the use of deadly force when the officer could have easily pushed her back on the other side of the window or Tased her?

Gun-up America, policing everywhere has just been degraded. How many officers will resign, leaving communities under-protected? How may officers will refuse to intervene in an ongoing felony when they are faced with a life-altering decision that will affect their families as well as their personal freedom. If anything, Chauvin was guilty of being white while subduing a black criminal in racially charged times  Chauvin, becoming another victim of progressive identity politics. This was a political prosecution that did not result in justice!

Will the justice system ultimately work is yet to be determined. However, I am not optimistic that there will be a successful appeal and a re-trial.

To say we are screwed is an understatement. God bless Derek Chauvin and keep him strong and safe until this Marxist madness is over and law and order can be restored to the land.

JUSTICE IS DEAD IN MINNEAPOLIS

Today, my thoughts and prayers are with Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, who is caught up in a Kafkaesque nightmare – a political prosecution with the full weight of radical un-American progressive socialist Democrats with their collective foot on Chauvin’s neck.

The situation can be expertly summed up by cartoonist Antonio Branco…

Branco300291_imageThere is literally no way that Derek Chauvin can get a fair trial on the legal merits of the case for the in-custody death of George Floyd…

Reason one: biased mainstream media coverage starting on the first day of the death of George Floyd and continuing up to jury sequestration. The mainstream’s coverage was biased toward the prosecution’s shifting case and appeared to deliberately ignore defense questioning and testimony, thus raising expectations that the prosecution’s case was absolutely true as stated

Reason two: prejudicial statements of government officials, including California Representative Maxine Waters, who urged a crowd to continue protesting if Chauvin was not convicted of first-degree murder, a charge not even the State of Minnesota believed was warranted.

Reason three: jury intimidation by the wide coverage of the protests and civil insurrection, including rioting, looting, and arson, and the threat of more of the same if the jury fails to convict.

Reason four: the prosecution continually shifted the theory of their case after it was conclusively proven that Chauvin’s knee was not on Floyd’s neck, there were no chokeholds, and there were no physical signs of asphyxia, with Floyd dying from a multiplicity of factors including partially-blocked arteries, a fatal level of Fentynl ingested just prior to the arrest, and other underlying medical conditions. Floyd appears to be literally, a dead man walking.

Reason five:  while the Judge appears nice enough in court, he has made several questionable calls.

Refusal to allow a trial delay.

Refusal to allow a change of venue.

Refusal to allow for jury sequestration. The jury was exposed to mob actions and the damage done to the city on their daily commute.

Allowed witness stacking when witnesses added little or nothing, other than emotion, to the proceedings.

Failed to sanction the prosecution for dumping thousands of pages of discovery on the defense during the trial, impairing the defense’s ability to read, comprehend, and respond to the proffered material.

Allowed expert testimony from an unvetted "self-proclaimed ‘expert’ on martial arts who was abjectly wrong on the matter of chokeholds.

Ignored prosecutorial misconduct in the prosecution closing rebuttal where the prosecutor, having been warned,  continued to disparage the defense in a manner that could lead to a mistrial.

This is judicial terrorism…

There is no doubt that we are experiencing judicial terrorism under the progressive socialist democrats and the mainstream media. Justice not defined by the legal process based on the merits of the case but by an outcome demanded by the mob – including government officials.

Select members of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and California Representative Maxine Waters should be held accountable for their actions.

Bottom line…

Justice demands that, in the absence of clear and conclusive evidence Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin negligently caused the death of George Floyd, the case be dismissed with prejudice as Chauvin cannot get a fair trial anywhere in the United States accessible to the progressive socialist democrats and the mainstream media. '

However, it is unlikely that the matter will be laid to rest. Look for the Biden Administration and a corrupt hyper-politicized Department of Justice to bring a civil rights case as they pander to their base.

I fear that the jury will convict Chauvin, believing that the Appellate Court will correct any wrongs. If this is true, they are all cowards and unworthy to call themselves Americans.

We are so screwed, but not as much as Officer Chauvin, who left home that morning with no idea that the progressive socialist democrats would rain down hell upon his head for merely doing his job.

RACIST MAXINE WATERS CONTINUES TO PROMOTE RACIAL ANIMOSITY IN MINNESOTA

MWDWR

I wish someone would ask Representative Maxine Waters why a California representative who sits on the House Financial Services Committee was compelled to travel to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to incite further a mob of agitator/activist-led Black Lives Matter protesters if not to promote her own overtly racist views and to generate a photo-op for her 2022 reelection campaign?

Some of Maxine Waters’ fact-free comments relating to ongoing court trials over the accidental shooting of Daunte Wright as he resisted arrest and the Derek Chauvin case for the in-custody death of George Floyd in nearby Minneapolis…

“This is a very difficult time in the history of this country. We have to persist in calling for justice. We have to let people know we’re not going to be satisfied unless we get justice in these cases.

[OCS: As for history, race relations in America were improving until the presidency of Barack Obama who racialized America as part of his fundamental transformation of a nation using identity politics – the only way the Democrat Party can survive.

Of course, Waters does not mean “justice” in a legal sense, she means “justice” according to an agenda-driven, agitator/activist-led mob. Will the mob accept “justice” that finds Wright was accidentally shot while resisting arrest and fleeing custody and the matter should be a civil wrongful death case, not a criminal case? Will the mob accept “justice” that finds Floyd died of a multiplicity of factors and while the optics of the case support one narrative, the facts support another. Again, another civil wrongful death case, not a criminal one.]

“We’ve got to stay on the streets and we’ve got to get more active. We’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know we mean business.”

[OCS: One might think that Waters might be better off urging individuals to submit to a peaceful arrest and not resist arrest or attempt to flee. Then there is the matter of illegal guns in the hands of felons – most of whom ignored the stricter gun control regulations in effect.]

"I’m going to fight with all of the people who stand for justice We’ve got to get justice in this country and we cannot allow these killings to continue."

[OCS: Fight? I thought this was a peaceful protest? One might assume if the people did stand for justice, they would wait for the conclusion of legal proceedings and not try to influence the process through mob intimidation and coercion.

“I don’t know what curfew means. Curfew means that ‘I want you all to stop talking, I want you to stop leading.’ I’m hopeful that the protest will continue.”

[OCS: This is not leadership. This is unjustified civil disobedience. Breaking the curfew is a minor thing – until the mob turns ugly and attacks individuals and property. There is never a justification for rioting, looting, and arson. In this case, breaking a curfew should lead to sentence enhancement, not be the main charge that clogs the justice system.]

Does anyone see Maxine Waters challenging FBI Director Christopher Wray about the threat of armed white supremacist militias? At the same time, nothing is being said about the paramilitary Nation of Islam, the New Black Panthers, and the Marxist Black Lives Matter?

bp-2

Peaceful protesters outside the Brooklyn Police Department.

Another Black Marxist that has done well for herself, her husband, and the rest of her family…

mwm

The out-of-district $4.5 million mansion in a mostly white area.

Bottom line…

After listening to Maxine Waters' recorded remarks, I find it unconscionable that Waters would appear to threaten the jury and to demand a guilty verdict in the Chauvin case: threatening further violence if Chauvin is found not guilty of murder. "Waters said she was 'hopeful' Chauvin would be convicted of murder, but if he isn’t, 'we cannot go away.'”

Why is Maxine Waters big on gun control and silent on the statistical fact that inner-city blacks are the most egregious violators of gun control and represent an exponentially greater threat to the black community than the police?

Why is Maxine Waters big on criminal justice reform that reduces criminal charges and incarceration for blacks who are killing blacks with their drug and gang activities?

Why is Maxine Waters shooting off her mouth about Adam Toledo without questioning why a 13-year-old was in a Chicago alley at 2:30 in the morning, carrying a gun that was just used, allegedly, by a 21-year-old gang member companion to fire shots at a passing car? Instead of allowing the parents to wail about their loss, where are the charges for child endangerment? It is almost certain that they knew about his gang activities.

But most of all, why is much of Maxine Waters’ constituency still disadvantaged after her 45 years in government?

Where is the condemnation over Maxine Waters' racism?

We are so screwed when you vote color over competence and fail to recognize that those who scream racism the loudest are likely to be racists themselves.

WHY THE RIGHT IS ALWAYS WRONG ON HEALTHCARE

AHCP

Today’s inbox contains a new healthcare prescription, The American Health Care Plan, by Haskins & Karnick of The Heartland Institute that purports to “provide Americans with a pro-liberty, conservative proposal to fix the U.S. health insurance system, lower health care costs, and create universal access to health care services.” Neither author appears to be connected to the healthcare industry, and both seem to be researcher-writers with a political bent.

This Policy Study begins by briefly outlining the failures of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obamacare,” and the shortcomings of our current health care system. It then offers to lawmakers and the public a commonsense plan to create a pro-liberty health care system that would make health coverage available to all Americans without compromising quality or putting individual liberty at risk.

The plan is laid out in two distinct parts. The first (Section 2, beginning on page 8) describes a proposal to reduce health care costs and establish a new “Health Ownership Accounts” program, which would supplement and ultimately replace the United States’ existing and irrevocably broken employer-sponsored model.

The second part of the proposal (Section 3, beginning on page 17) would provide substantial improvements and reforms to Medicaid, giving lower-income and poor families greater access to higher-quality health care services. <Source>

The “plan” is a top-line collection of various concepts that may be helpful in reforming today’s quasi-Obamacare health delivery system. Unfortunately, the “plan” is not a plan that can be implemented. It is not backed with the specific language of enabling legislation, and it fails to address fundamental healthcare issues.

Of course, the so-called plan muddles the distinction between those physicians, facilities, and support workers who actually provide hands-on healthcare and those insurers who administratively control access, authorization, and payment for medically-related services and durable medical equipment.

Questions rarely asked or answered...

(1)  What is the role of insurers in the overall health care delivery system, and how much of this costly, inefficient infrastructure can be disintermediated (eliminated or reduced) by an automated system based on a set of data descriptions and interconnection standards that allow disparate automated systems to work together as a single entity? Not a single-payer entity, but an underlying system to facilitate the flow of both medical and financial information. The present system is a failure and a hodge-podge of crippled systems that rarely speak the same language. In my estimation, systems that attempt to combine financial and medical test results and reports (especially those dealing with images of archived data) are doomed to failure by the sheer size and complexity of such systems.

(2)  What is the role of the insurer in the approval, delay, and denial of medical care as recommended by physicians?

(3)  Are gatekeeper primary care physicians necessary to rationalize the utility of specialist care? Can patients adequately manage a self-referral system?

(4)  What is the mechanism for caring for the uninsured, persons unable to afford prescribed care or medications, and a population segment perpetually in transit?

(5)  How does the paradox of healthcare savings accounts align with reality? Specifically, when a layman is asked to blindly shop for medical insurance based on price and coverages for as yet unknown medical conditions? The truth is that physicians recommend other physicians, the use of specific facilities, and the use of durable medical equipment. Few individuals may be willing to interrupt that linkage to substitute cheaper alternatives – some of which may be unacceptable to the treating physician for various reasons of location, access, quality, and speed of delivery.

Bottom line…

The idea that the ills of our current healthcare authorization, delivery, and payment system can be adequately addressed in a 28-page document is ludicrous. That this document is a plan rather than a collection of talking points is ludicrous.

I am not taking a position on the concepts contained within the paper other than to point out that this paper is symptomatic of the failure of the GOP to address the overall healthcare issue. It is one thing to give impassioned speeches about the evils of Obamacare, socialized medicine, and a single-payer system – loudly shouting "repeal and replace" – but never having an adequate replacement available. Perhaps an impossible task for “go along to get along” politicians taking special interest money and conditioned to outsourcing the heavy work of actual implementation to various Executive Branch agencies.

We are so screwed, especially by a system that is defective by design, so the billions attributable to waste, fraud, and abuse can accrue to those willing to game the system.
