Can Adam Schiff be trusted with the January 6th investigation?
There is no doubt that the first Trump impeachment, led by Adam Schiff, was manufactured out of whole cloth, filled with demonstrable lies, distortions, and half-truths. And was built on a background of criminal collusion with the sole purpose of removing President Donald Trump from office. There are still secrets, closely held by Schiff, that need to be revealed to the American people.
Now that Trump has left office and is not responsible for the major catastrophes of the Biden Administration, including the handling of the pandemic, hyper-inflation, the disaster at our Southern border where we are being invaded with hundreds of thousands of unvetted illegal aliens, and the surrender of Afghanistan while leaving thousands of Americans and other legal residents of America behind enemy lines to be captured, killed, tortured, and enslaved, the Democrats need to make 2022 about Trump.
This investigation of a relatively few vandals and a hoard of lookie-loos seeking selfies and souvenirs is just another charade – political Kabuki theater.
Schiff: Jan. 6 investigation going 'straight to subpoenas' in some cases
"In some cases, we're making requests we think will be complied with," Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, told reporters. "In other cases, we're going straight to subpoenas where we think we're dealing with recalcitrant witnesses."
It's a sharp break from previous practices in recent House investigations, including the impeachment of Donald Trump that Schiff led in 2019, when committees gave potential witnesses weeks to voluntarily comply before issuing subpoenas. Schiff said the change is an acknowledgment of the short timeline that the Jan. 6 panel faces to try to unearth details about the Trump White House's role in the Capitol attack and the former president's attempts to subvert the 2020 election results.
The committee is going to "forgo some of the time-consuming steps" that have dogged previous investigations, Schiff added, Compared with the independent 9/11 Commission two decades ago, he said, the Jan. 6 panel is moving with "great rapidity."
"And where we do meet resistance, we intend to push back hard and fast," Schiff added. <Source>

The head of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday warned that those who refuse to cooperate in Congress's investigation into the Capitol attack of Jan. 6 could face charges of criminal contempt. <Source>
Lying and leaking...
BLITZER: Program Teases…
Serious questions tonight about whether the Russians are using Rudy Giuliani to interfere in the U.S. presidential election.
And, later, Congressman Adam Schiff is standing by to join me live here in THE SITUATION ROOM. We will discuss a new investigation into a potential Russian disinformation campaign targeting the Biden family.
Just ahead, I'll speak live with Congressman Adam Schiff about a new probe into a potential Russian disinformation campaign targeting Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
BLITZER: Federal authorities, including the FBI, are investigating whether recently published emails that purport to deal -- to detail, I should say, the business dealings of Joe Biden's son, Hunter, are connected to an ongoing Russian disinformation effort targeting the Biden campaign in the days leading up to the election.
[OCS: With the FBI, everything is being investigated, thus conveying an impression that a matter is being taken seriously. Full well knowing that the narrative following that fact can be used to easily spin the story.
FBI agents took possession of Hunter Biden’s MacBook laptop from Delaware computer repairman John Paul Mac Isaac in December 2019. However, Isaac had copied the hard drive and made it available to Rudy Giuliani who vetted some of the material and shared it with select media outlets.
The New York Post went public in October 2020 with videos, text messages, and emails from Hunter’s abandoned MacBook. Joe Biden was quick to label the laptop as a Russian hoax.
So it was critically important to get ahead of the forthcoming revelations and label them as Russian disinformation.
And who better for the task than Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and a known as a slimy, untrustworthy, toady, liar, and leaker.]
Let's discuss with the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Congressman Adam Schiff. Congressman, thanks so much for joining us.
Does it surprise you at all that this information Rudy Giuliani is peddling very well could be connected to some sort of Russian government disinformation campaign?
[OCS: Notice the pejorative use of the word peddling” and the suggestion that the information could be connected to some sort of Russian government disinformation campaign? Blitzer does not ask the honest question, “Could the information provided by Rudy Giuliani be true?.”
REP. ADAM SCHIFF (D-CA): Well, we know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That's been clear for well over a year now that they've been pushing this false narrative about the vice president and his son.
[OCS: We, implying himself, the intelligence committee, or both? What we do know is that the FBI had Hunter Biden’s signature on a repair receipt and many of the data points in the e-mails could have been quickly confirmed by the recipients.
The FBI could have spoken with Tony Bobulinski, the former business partner of Hunter Biden, who said emphatically that Joe Biden was involved in business dealings with China as a “willing and eager participant in a family scheme to make millions of dollars by partnering with a shady Chinese Communist firm,” Bobulinski would go public a few days later on October 21, 2020. Bobulinski said he was the recipient of a May 13, 2017, email published by the New York Post on October 15, 2020.]
And, you know, the idea that the president, that the White House Counsel and others were made aware that Giuliani was being used by Russian intelligence and using Russian intelligence in the sense of meeting with an agent of the Kremlin and pushing out this Kremlin false narrative, the idea that they were knowing and still on the floor of the Senate during the impeachment trial, pushing this Kremlin narrative is pretty breathtaking.
[OCS: We should note that the impeachment hearing was a product of collusion between Adam Schiff, his staff, and a disgruntled National Security Council staffer. The staffer was kept under wraps and his deeply flawed presentation was never fully revealed. As we now know, the impeachment was a Democrat fantasy based on a hoax – designed to protect Joe Biden from his on-camera confession that he interfered in a foreign government’s investigation of his son’s employer. Hunter received at least $50,000 per month for selling access to Joe Biden as an unregistered foreign agent among other things.]
But I guess at this point we can't be shocked by anything this administration does, no matter how craven. But, clearly, the origins of this whole smear are from the Kremlin, and the president is only too happy to have Kremlin help and try to amplify it.
[OCS: “I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!” Where have we heard that before?]
BLITZER: It's not like Rudy Giuliani is peddling this information in a vacuum, Congressman. Take a look at this picture of the president in the Oval Office holding up a copy of the New York Post touting this conspiracy theory. It's made its way all the way to the commander in chief with a big smile on his face.
[OCS: Funny how those “conspiracy theories” turned out to be true – and much worse than originally imagined.]
SCHIFF: Yes. Well, look, I think we know who the driving force behind this smear has been all along and it's been the president and the Kremlin. The Kremlin has an obvious interest in denigrating Joe Biden. They want Donald Trump to win.
[OCS: The Kremlin loved the Democrats and had always dealt with the Democrats when they wanted something—like purchasing a portion of our critical reserves of uranium. Truth be told, the Russians always interfered with our elections to introduce chaos into the system.]
They recognize he's a weak president. He's been utterly unwilling to stand up to Putin and other autocrats. He has diminished NATO. He has criticized and weakened our alliance with our transatlantic partners. He's been the gift that doesn't stop giving for the Kremlin. So, clearly, they want to help him. So they want to denigrate the vice president. The Intelligence Community has made that abundantly clear.
[OCS: There has never been a weaker president than Biden, including Jimmy Carter. As for the intelligence community, there is ample proof they were compromised by the Democrats and first supported Hillary, and now Biden, to keep them safe from investigation and prosecution.]
And this particular smear though has also been acknowledge to come from the Kremlin, and there it is from the Oval Office, another wonderful propaganda coup from Vladimir Putin, seeing the president of the United States holding up a newspaper promoting Kremlin propaganda. It's really incredible.
BLITZER: The Washington Post, as you saw, is reporting that when the president was actually warned of concerns about Giuliani, where he was getting all this information, warned by U.S. intelligence, law enforcement authorities, the president simply shrugged his shoulders and responded, that's Rudy. How much is that a part of the problem here that the president, at least according to this reporting in the Washington Post, doesn't seem to care?
SCHIFF: Well, it's a big part of the problem. And we know for a long time, look, Rudy Giuliani doesn't, you know, run the president, the president runs Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani is doing the president's bidding. He was doing the president's bidding late last year and earlier this year in Ukraine.
He was doing the president's bidding when he was pushing out this smear and trying to get the Ukrainians to push out this smear of his opponent because he was deathly afraid of being exactly where we are right now, which is less than three weeks from the election, losing badly to Joe Biden.
[OCS: Giuliani was rooting out corruption. Schiff was protecting Biden from his taped confession of collusion and corruption. He was projecting Biden’s corrupt behavior on Trump.]
But the fact that he would continue to do it, I guess at this point shouldn't surprise us. But this is the story of Donald Trump -- utter unwillingness to stand up to the Kremlin, willingness to use their help no matter how dishonest or disreputable, a willingness to undermine our own elections by getting Kremlin help and amplifying it. And there's only one remedy at this point and that's to vote him out.
BLITZER: Have you, as a member of the Gang of Eight, the top leadership in the Congress, the Senate, and the House, and members of the Intelligence Committee, have you been formally briefed on what the Russians are up to right now in trying to peddle this kind of information?
SCHIFF: Well, I was in the Intelligence Committee today to see what the latest was, and frankly, we haven't gotten much from the intelligence community very recently, which concerns me. They have at times, some of the leadership, like Director Ratcliffe, not been very forthcoming in terms of the intelligence on the Russian threat and been promoting this false equivalence with other countries.
So, you know, I wish I could tell you more, Wolf. I wish the intelligence community was able to tell the public more.
But we do know this: the Russians are once again actively involved in trying to denigrate the vice president, Donald Trump is helping them, and we know that they are amplifying the president's misinformation about absentee ballots.
This is another gift the president is giving the Russians. Unlike 2016 when the Russians had to make up this stuff, they now can simply use the president's own false statements and amplify them. It is extraordinary, Wolf, that a president of the United States is telling his own citizens and the rest of the world that America can't hold a free and fair election. The Kremlin just has to push out that false narrative by the president of the United States.
BLITZER: Congressman Adam Schiff, thank you so much for joining us.
SCHIFF: Thank you, Wolf.
BLITZER: All right. Just ahead, more than 20 million general election ballots have already been cast here in the United States as more states report record increases in early voting.
[OCS: This occurred during an election and is clearly CNN’s interference in an election by spreading disinformation.]
We'll be right back. <Source>
Enough is enough. We have serious problems. It is time that this clown concentrate on the intelligence failures of our government and not this bogus hoax of an investigation. By all means, prosecute vandals – including the BLM and Antifa domestic terrorists who wreaked over $2 billion in damages. But concentrate on the internal intelligence threats coming from Communist China.
We are so screwed.
