CUBA: WHEN IS A revolution not the Revolution?

Cubans want liberty…

The Biden Administration is having as much trouble with the term "Communist Cuba" as former President Barack Obama had with "Islamic Terrorist."

Biden's Doublespeak...

In describing the protests in Cuba, Press Secretary Jen Psaki commented, "There is every indication that yesterday's protests were spontaneous expressions of people who are exhausted with the Cuban government's economic mismanagement."

“Economic mismanagement” my ass, they want freedom! Not one word about freedom, liberty, or the fundamental human right to remain unmolested by the government.

Revolution or “revolution” …

Then there is the convoluted use of the word "revolution." The Cuban government describes itself as "the Revolution," and refers to protesters and dissidents as "counter-revolutionaries."

So when you see this statement from the communist front group, Democratic Socialists of America with members in the U.S. Congress...

"DSA stands with the Cuban people and their Revolution in this moment of unrest. End the blockade."

using the word "Revolution," the communist DSA is not standing with the protesters, they are standing with the Communist Cuban government. A subtle use of words is revealing to the Cuban people and American communists, but likely to pass over the heads of ordinary Americans.

And then there are the bullshit Tweets in social media and regurgitated in the mainstream media...

"Cubans chant 'I am Fidel!', as thousands flood the streets in defense of The Revolution."

“'Viva Fidel!' The revolutionary people of Cuba fill the streets to protect their Revolution and sovereignty from imperialist attacks."

"President Miguel Díaz-Canel in San Antonio de los Baños, Mayabeque, Cuba: ‘There’s a group of counter-revolutionary, mercenary people paid by the U.S.government, paid indirectly through agencies of the North American government to assemble these types of demonstrations.’"

"Cubans in Holguín respond to the call of President to take to the streets in defense of the Revolution as the U.S. government tries to provoke destabilization by utilizing paid agents on the ground."

What's in a name...

Because communism is associated with some of the most horrific human rights violations and mass deaths, the communists have attempted to re-brand communism over the years ...

Bolshevism. collectivism, Maoism, Marxism, socialism, Trotskyism, Leninism, Marxism-Leninism, Sovietism, Stalinism, communalism, Eurocommunism, Marxism–Leninism, neo-Marxism, Titoism, totalitarianism, radical socialism, state ownership, state socialism, statism, rule of the proletariat, syndicalism, anarcho-syndicalism, leftism, progressivism, laborism, welfarism, Fabianism, social democracy, public ownership, state ownership. collective ownership, utopian socialism. classless society. consumer socialism, neoliberalism, or democratic socialism --- are all descriptions of anti-freedom authoritarianism of the worst kind.

Bottom line…

Stand with the oppressed people of Cuba and their “revolution," not the Cuban Communists or American communist sympathizers who support “The Revolution.”

For the communist schmucks in the media who blame Cuba's woes on the U.S. trade embargo; one, they never mention that Cuba could change its dictatorial system, release all the political prisoners, return cop-killers to the U.S., and embrace capitalism, or two, they openly trade with 49 other countries such as Russia, China, Venezuela, North Korea, etc. What they really want is U.S. subsidies and easy credit.

We are so screwed.
