Just when you think that Uncle Joe’s administration can’t get any worse, it’s BOHICA (Bend Over Here It Comes Again) time…

It is not bad enough that the U.S. may have partially funded the biowarfare research that caused the Chinese Communist Party virus, which led to a worldwide pandemic, certain administration officials now want to transfer the technological keys to the antidote to our enemies – that is, if they haven’t already stolen it first.

Statement from Ambassador Katherine Tai on the Covid-19 Trips Waiver

United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today released a statement announcing the Biden-Harris Administration’s support for waiving intellectual property protections for COVID-19 vaccines.

[OCS: Few patents stand on their own, and waiving rights for one may also compromise underlying work having little or nothing to do with vaccines and cover manufacturing techniques and procresses.]

“This is a global health crisis, and the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic call for extraordinary measures.  The Administration believes strongly in intellectual property protections, but in service of ending this pandemic, supports the waiver of those protections for COVID-19 vaccines.

[OCS: It is a fact that the progressive socialist democrats do not believe in the U.S. Constitution, inalienable rights, personal freedoms, or property rights. The Communist Chinese Party certainly does not respect intellectual property rights and has created a formalized system for stealing intellectual property from the United States.

U.S. Accuses Hackers of Trying to Steal Coronavirus Vaccine Data for China

Two suspects in China targeted companies working on vaccines as part of a broader cybertheft campaign to enrich themselves and aid the Chinese government, officials said.

The Justice Department accused a pair of Chinese hackers on Tuesday of targeting vaccine development on behalf of the country’s intelligence service as part of a broader years-long campaign of global cybertheft aimed at industries such as defense contractors, high-end manufacturing and solar energy companies. <Source>

We will actively participate in text-based negotiations at the World Trade Organization (WTO) needed to make that happen. Those negotiations will take time given the consensus-based nature of the institution and the complexity of the issues involved.

[OCS: What negotiations? Everyone who stands to get billions of dollars worth of research and manufacturing techniques for little or no cost is unlikely to say no. Especially knowing that any violation of any agreement is likely to be ignored by their domestic courts and the international community courts – and any awards are likely to remain uncollected unless by sanctions or force. Both of which have not deterred the ChiComs from stealing IP.]

“The Administration’s aim is to get as many safe and effective vaccines to as many people as fast as possible.  As our vaccine supply for the American people is secured, the Administration will continue to ramp up its efforts – working with the private sector and all possible partners – to expand vaccine manufacturing and distribution.  It will also work to increase the raw materials needed to produce those vaccines.”

[OCS: Unless the United States government is going to give private organizations billions of dollars in response to a Fifth Amendment “taking,” I do not see corporations willingly participating in this theft of intellectual property.]

Who is Ambassador Tai?

Pardon me, folks, but I look at any individual in the Biden Administration with ties to Communist China with deep suspicion. Not only because the Chinese Communist Party may have compromised President Joe Biden, but that China is known for playing the long game with sleeper agents. The fact that the Ambassador spent two years teaching in an overtly Communist University, where spies are often recruited, does not leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling. Especially since the Ambassador’s education was from an institution known to favor progressive democrat socialism.

Katherine Chi Tai is an American attorney serving as the 19th United States Trade Representative since March 18, 2021.

She is the first East Asian-American and first non-white woman to serve in the position. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the chief trade counsel for the United States House Committee on Ways and Means. Nominated in December 2020, she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate unanimously (98–0 with two senators absent), making her the only member of the Cabinet of Joe Biden to be confirmed with no opposition.

Tai was born in Connecticut and grew up in Washington, D.C., where she attended Sidwell Friends School. Her parents, who were both born in mainland China, grew up in Taiwan and later immigrated to the United States. Tai graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and earned a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

She taught English at Sun Yat-sen University as a Yale-China Fellow for two years. After college, she worked for several law firms, including Baker McKenzie and Miller & Chevalier, and clerked for U.S. District Courts in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

[OCS: Zhongshan University, a major Chinese public research university located in Guangzhou, Guangdong, People’s Republic of China.]

Think I am kidding?

The Department of Commerce last year listed some 44 Chinese entities, including universities and research institutions, and this year extended the list, including more universities. They include the prestigious Sun Yat-sen University in southern Guangdong province and the large Sichuan University, which has many overseas partnerships. More concerning, as the list broadens from highly specialized military and dual-use entities to major Chinese universities, is the overall effect on US-China research collaborations, as new areas of research rivalry are targeted, such as supercomputing. <Source>

While the entities list concerns mostly restrictions on research and exports that may have dual-use (commercial/military), the organizations on that list remain highly suspect for the recruitment of Chinese Communist operatives.

How much trouble are we in with the Biden Administration and their sell-out to the Chinese Communists?

Biden offering free pass to researchers in bed with China, warn GOP senators

The Biden administration is preparing to give a free pass to researchers and scientists who knowingly defrauded U.S. taxpayers in cooperation with China, a group of Republican senators warned.

The administration has yet to announce the amnesty plan but is expected to start the program in the next few weeks, according to the senators, who raised alarm about it in a letter Thursday to Attorney General Merrick Garland. The number of scientists and researchers who would stand to benefit from an amnesty is massive and multiplying constantly. More than 500 scientists involved in federally funded research are under investigation for being compromised by China and other foreign adversaries, National Institutes of Health officials told Congress last month.

The apparent amnesty for scientists who steal American technological innovation for China and others was uncovered by the lawmakers in material gathered by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and in public reporting, Capitol Hill sources said. <Source>

Amnesty, my ass. This is the Biden Administration doing a Benedict Arnold and selling out our country.

Bottom line…

I say NO! HELL NO! Send the bastards a bill for all of the death and destruction that flowed from their Wuhan lab, the lack of cooperation with health authorities that could have mitigated the outbreak, the outright lying, and the covert compromise of international health officials at the World Health Organization and elsewhere.

We are so screwed.
