THEY ARE COMING FOR YOUR SECRETS
Your information security is slip-sliding away...
We have witnessed the subversion of this nation’s premier intelligence and law enforcement agencies by the progressive socialist/communist democrats with the tacit permission of a Democrat-majority Congress—including the cover-up of unconstitutional abuses of power and criminal activities.
With the judiciary's abject failure, things may be rapidly progressing toward turning America into Venezuela.
All of the respect I had for the United States Supreme Court vanished the day they refused to accept legitimate cases involving disputes between the states, disputes between the Circuit Courts, and significant questions of constitutionality.
Now we see the final push towards a surveillance state where secure, confidential, proprietary and private communications protected by strong encryption is about to be breached by Presidential fiat or Congressional mandate.
In today’s uncertain environment, it is questionable whether or not the technology oligarchs and tyrants will stand strong over the use of government-accessible back doors and encryption key repositories as they have done in the past.
Especially with multi-billion dollar long-term government contracts in play.
There is no doubt in my mind that secure communications are critical for the preservation of freedom, democracy, and the protection of individual property rights. Not to mention the protection of jurors, journalists, and activists struggling to bring freedom to oppressed people in totalitarian states
If you believe that the government can maintain secrets, remember that the Chinese government compromised the Office of Personnel Management to grab data on all government employees, including personal and private information obtained during the security clearance process. Or the actions of Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning, who used their keys to the kingdom to compromise highly classified information.
Bottom line...
No matter how smart the designers, engineers, and chip architects may appear, there is always someone smarter or, more likely, someone who will compromise someone with the “keys to the kingdom” to gain access.
If intelligence and law enforcement agencies can use a government-mandated system to read encrypted messages, our enemies and criminals are sure to exploit these same methods.
We are so screwed.
