Perhaps one of the greatest leaders/statesmen to live is Winston Churchill who famously observed …

"All great things are simple, and can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, hope."

Likewise, it appears that these simple concepts have their opposites…

freedom – slavery

justice – injustice

honour – dishonor

duty – unheeding

mercy – cruelty

hope --  despair

Choose one…

Now, ask yourself, which political party seems to ignore freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, and hope as they ignore freedom as they attempt to enslave us with taxes and restrictions on our freedoms, attempt to panic us into accepting their political agenda, create divisions between Americans with their identity politics, subvert justice with a tiered system that favors the politically-connected, and generally ignore all positive precepts of humanity?

I am not saying that the GOP is without its faults, primarily cowardice, fecklessness, and unwillingness to fight for American values. They may occasionally talk about these values, but they are ineffective and fail to use the instrumentalities of power when it is in their hands. By their words and deeds, they appear ready to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

What is needed is principled leadership…

No, not establishment types like Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader in the United States House of Representatives since 2019. Not establishment types like Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader in the United States Senate since 2021. Certainly not the chameleons like Lindsey Graham who jumps across the aisle to advance the progressive socialist democrat agenda much like his mentor, the late Senator John McCain.

Who then can lead the charge in 2022?

Folks, it is 578 days from today to the 2022 mid-term election on November 8, 2022. Less if you consider the bruising primaries and the early voting days in the mid-term election.

I don’t see a GOP platform.

I don’t see specific ready-to-go programs that will counteract, repeal, and replace Democrat socialism.

I certainly don’t see a grassroots organization.

I do not see pushback against the mainstream media, court challenges, and coordinated messaging.

I don’t see the vetting necessary to keep candidates safe from opposition research and outright lies.

I don’t see Special Counsel John Durham’s report. Why does attorney Marc Elias still have his law license?

I do see a self-proclaimed leader in former President Donald Trump who claims he is the de facto head of the GOP. Unfortunately, lazy as ever, surrounded by dodgy people, and spending significant time fighting various lawsuits.

I do see the Romney-Bush-Rove establishment team working behind the scenes to spoil the election if they cannot elect one of their own. I also see the GOP supporting earmarks by simply rebranding them as “community project funding”— outrageous spending be damned.

I do see that we are screwed.
