It is a sad day in America when a major political party knowingly nominates and promotes a mentally impaired individual to the United States Presidency. Even sadder still when some behind-the-scene advisor shoves a note in front of a cogitatively disabled senior citizen, and he mouths words he may not know to be untrue. But the greatest sadness of all comes from a hyper-politicized mainstream media that knowingly amplifies and endlessly repeats these lies to the American people.

Joe Biden on Georgia’s voting law reform…

“What I’m worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is. It’s sick. It’s sick … deciding that you’re going to end voting at five o’clock when working people are just getting off work.” — President Biden, in remarks at a news conference, March 25. 2021

The truth…

On Election Day in Georgia, polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and if you are in line by 7 p.m., you are allowed to cast your ballot. Nothing in the new law changes those rules. Being in a long line is not voter suppression.

As for early voting, when offices are traditionally staffed during “normal” business hours, “Counties can have early voting open as long as 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a minimum. In larger metropolitan counties, you might not notice a change. For most other counties, you will have an extra weekend day, and your weekday early voting hours will likely be longer.”

Few Georgians and even fewer Americans will read the newly passed legislation and attempt to understand its provisions compared to the original law or in the context of the laws of other states.

Chris Christie calls out Stacey Abrams for praising NJ law that allows less early voting than Georgia's

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Sunday called out Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams for praising a New Jersey in-person early voting law that provides fewer days of pre-Election Day in-person voting than a Georgia measure President Biden has compared to Jim Crow laws.

The New Jersey bill was signed last week by Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy, while the Georgia bill became law with the signature of Republican Gov. Brian Kemp on March 25.

"Stacey Abrams was in New Jersey, in my state, praising Phil Murphy this week for a voting law where New Jersey early voting is nine days — half of what Georgia’s is," Christie said during an appearance on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

"Yet she’s on TV in New Jersey — I saw it myself — saying that this is one of the greatest voting expansion bills we’ve ever seen," Christie said. < Source>

For those who do not know of Stacy Abrams, she is the radical partisan who believes she is the rightful Governor of Georgia and that the 2018 election was stolen by “voter suppression” in the black community. Ignoring, of course, one of the largest turnouts of black voters in Georgia’s history.

"I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election," Abrams said, according to NPR. "But to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in this state baldly pin his hopes for election on suppression of the people's democratic right to vote has been truly appalling." [OCSNote: She has never conceded the Governor’s race.]

Still, nationally, the turnout in 2018 was higher than average by historical standards, FiveThirtyEight reported. In Georgia in 2018, "an estimated 55 percent of eligible voters exercised their right to vote, which is about 21 points higher than the state’s 1982-2014 average. That was the biggest change from the average of any state," FiveThirtyEight also reported.  <Source>

Bottom line…

Some know what they feel, reinforced by corrupt mainstream media and their peers' similarly uninformed opinions -- individuals who are unwilling to take the time to read, research, and understand the environment in which they live. Apathy, laziness, or the belief that their side is righteous and the other side is evil appears to be contributing factors.

You cannot reason with these people who are motivated by emotion and feel good about their peer group acceptance. Logic is the loser. It appears you can only reinforce the opinions of those of a like mind and speak to fools only when there are bystanders who might consider what you are saying. To do otherwise is to speak to a rock and attempt to change its position.

Don’t become a fool.
