THE TRUTH SHALL NOT SET YOU FREE
As I watch the mainstream coverage of the civil insurrection occurring before our very eyes, there are some fundamental truths that are being revealed:
— Those are not constitutional conservatives that are rioting, looting, and burning down buildings. They appear to be progressive socialist democrats who have been told that violent revolution is not only acceptable but is the “duty” of those seeking to bring about change. Whipped into a frenzy by trained agitators and activists. I would not be surprised if the arsonists were not “ordinary” individuals. How many of the “protestors” come from outside the city, county, and state to wreak havoc in the name of their political ideology?
— The mainstream media is not telling you the entire truth. Some stations, noted for their extreme progressive socialist democrat bias, appear to be suggesting that the more extreme acts of arson and destruction are somehow normal, to be expected, and serve as a punishment for our historical misdeeds. Truth be told, the media often sensationalizes events to grab audience share — time to condemn the demagogues, agitators, and activists in the media.
— Much of our local leadership, especially those who are themselves minorities, appear to lack any allegiance to the United States Constitution, civil society, and the rule of law. Not so surprising is that they appear to place their personal political future above all as they avoid upsetting their core constituency — at least the more vocal and politically active among them and their incessant agitation on social media.
— These are the very politicians who want to disarm law-abiding citizens and leave them at the nonexistent mercy of the mob. These riots are the perfect case study for semi-automatic weapons with large-capacity magazines. The politicians are willing to let the inner city burn believing the result will be better than Baltimore, Maryland, and other places where the law was not strictly enforced.
— Are you willing to bet your life, the lives of your family, and your financial future on being able to access police and fire protection during riots? Think again. See those parked fire trucks or the police abandoning their police station and running down the street in fear... that appears to be the norm in the inner cities. I am still waiting for the day that a police chief tells a politician that their orders to withdraw and permit illegal acts are unlawful and actually takes action to uphold the law. Or a county sheriff removes a city police chief from command and takes control over the situation.
— More and more I hear academics and pseudo-intellectuals waffle on-and-on about “root causes,” including using words like systemic racism, white privilege, white supremacy, capitalism, and, in some cases, “the patriarchy.” Never once did I hear these pointy-heads ever mention corrupt politicians and the BILLIONS of tax dollars being siphoned off into the pockets of their cronies, the politically-connected special interests. We are well beyond “intelligent” and “important” “dialogues.” We should be in the “kick miscreant asses and take names” mode.
Enough...
Please spare me the Kabuki Theater press conferences where every official gets face-time to set-up their upcoming campaign commercials. Give me, instead, the unified situation commander, who reminds the looters, arsonists, and destructive rioters that they will be caught, jailed, and damn the judicial justice, Antigua, or Black Lives Matter crowd.
Yes, we all witnessed the horrible and tragic death of a fellow citizen — but that does not convey any right to screw-over the law-abiding citizen. Or give a pass to our politicians to wring their hands and spew politically correct nonsense. Something to remember at the ballot box.
I wonder where the Somalis in Minnesota might be — I thought they left this type of lawless hell-hole behind when they entered this country? I wonder what the radical revolutionary, Ilan Omar, might be saying?
Why now?
Every year, thousands of individuals die on the streets of the inner cities with nary a peep from the so-called activists. Where are the grossly outraged “citizens” of those minority communities? Do they not care for the inhumanity, the injustice, and the sanctity of those lives? In my book, ALL lives matter.
I wonder what happens when the truth is revealed ...
“Today we got the first information from Hennepin County’s Medical Examiner, in an attachment to the criminal complaint against officer Derek Chauvin:
"The Hennepin County Medical Examiner (ME) conducted Mr. Floyd’s autopsy on May 26, 2020. The full report of the ME is pending but the ME has made the following preliminary findings. The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by the police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death."
Bottom line...
Where is the political leadership? They have their wealth, position, and protection to insulate them from the consequences of their actions ... not like the suffering citizenry.
We are so screwed.
