PROGRESSIVE GOVERNORS: PUSHING AROUND LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS IS OK, AFRAID TO USE FORCE AGAINST RIOTERS, LOOTERS, AND ARSONISTS

aggreviedblm-1

Once again, the progressive socialist democrats have demonstrated they are totally ineffective when dealing with their core constituency, but not afraid to push around law-abiding citizens who do not obey their authoritarian commandments, many of which are unconstitutional.

One might believe that elected officials, seeing what happened in Baltimore and elsewhere when you allow rioters and others to have the “space” and the “liberty” to destroy public and private property, would not be so willing to repeat the mistakes of the past. Ordering fire crews not to put out fires that can quickly spread from structure-to-structure and to order the police to “stand down.” Where a portion of their city will resemble a war zone the next morning -- possibly waiting decades to be rebuilt, if ever.

“How quick these progressive politicians are to seemingly condemn, in the weakest possible terms, the violence, looting, and destruction of public and private property before segueing into their socialist victimhood rhetoric. Yes, there are problems, including racial problems, in any community that is governed by progressive socialist democrats because that is what they need to build their coalition of victims, always promising redress of grievances in return for political power. And, after the election, the same old political corruption and continuing decay as public funds are siphoned-off to special interests and political power brokers. The people be damned.”

Are they effin kidding me?

Progressive socialist democrat Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have it wrong… if you are overwhelmed, you change the rules of engagement, you don’t beg the mob to go home. You grab the ring leaders and hold them on suspicion of inciting a riot.

“We are under assault by terrorists and anarchists conducting offensive operations throughout the Twin Cities. The unified command of soldiers and law enforcement officers withdrew to defend critical and targeted infrastructure. As arsonists set fires, as looters continued their activities, as terrorists destroyed businesses, law enforcement forces withdrew and redeployed.”

Apparently, the city officials do not like my idea of hosing down the crowd – after suitable warning or if they emerge from a particular store – with penetrant dye, grab them as they pass through a perimeter, and place them in guarded chain-link areas until they can be processed. My rule is to arrest and photograph any individual wearing protective gear, including masks or body armor.

The fools come out…

Obama’s communist pal, activist, and agitator Van Jones …

It’s not the racist white person who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about. It’s the white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park who would tell you right now, you know, people like that, ‘I don’t see race, race is no big deal to me, I see us all as the same, I give to charities,’ but the minute she sees a black man who she does not respect or who she had a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been trained by the Aryan nation. A Klansmember could not have been better trained to pick up her phone and tell the police a black man, African-American man, come get him. So even the most liberal, well-intentioned white person has a virus in his or her brain that can be activated at an instant."

At least Van Jones got something right – a Hillary supporter is a progressive socialist democrat. A member of the Democrat Party, the party of racism, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow – and the KKK. As for the virus, the same could be said of blacks who are perpetually aggrieved and quick to take offense where none exists.

It is almost as funny as…

6a00d83451d3b569e201bb09bae70f970d

What would a race riot be without former San Francisco quarterback and multi-millionaire racial activist Colin Kaepernick?

Ck-1

How many people remember when this multi-millionaire poseur wore socks with pigs wearing cop hats and “retweeted a quote from revolutionary socialist and chairman of the
violence-embracing Black Panther Party Fred Hampton warning against the evils of capitalism.” I didn’t know that Nike sponsorship money could buy black “authenticity.”

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison was not a “civil rights worker,” but a violent race hustler associated with Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam, a supporter of the Vice Lords – the gangbangers who murdered police office, Jerry Haaf, in

Look at what the Minnesota Attorney General retweets as he promotes the idea that the blame for the riot lies with “white supremacists”

Ke-1

Ke-2I find it ironic that these “race” activists witness their brothers and sisters killing thousands in the inner cities and yet speak out only when a white police officer is involved.

Bottom line…

Don’t talk to me about justice…

Injustice is allowing armed thugs to roam the community while disarming law-abiding citizens.

To give retroactive passes to drug dealers who poison the community and to minority thugs who terrorize neighborhoods.

To denigrate and disadvantage law enforcement and make them the scapegoats for the political failures of government officials.

Real injustice is a community that gives a pass to the men who shirk their responsibilities; watching women with ten children from eight fathers become discouraged, depressed, and who never have a chance to earn an acceptable living outside of government support systems.

Unemployment is a direct result of making life difficult for small businesses with onerous administrative rules, regulations, and taxes; demanding large employers be unionized or denied zoning and building permits.

Under-education is the fault of the teachers’ unions, and their captive politicians, who allow unionized teachers to crank out another generation of functional illiterates who are given a pass by lowering test requirements rather than angering parents, embarrass the teachers and the politicians.

Oppression? If these people are oppressed, it is by corrupt politicians, special interests, and their own community leaders. Progressive socialist democrats who want to slice the pie thinner and thinner instead of demanding the hard work necessary to create more pies. Politicians who believe in collectivism, where stupid people need enlightened elites to govern them – rather than individualism. What is wrong is progressive socialist democrats whose political power comes from anger, despair, and victimhood rather than progress and prosperity.

Once again, agitators and activists appear to be using social media and the dark web to coordinate their attacks.

By tomorrow, it is likely that President Trump is likely to declare martial law under the Insurrection Act of 1807 (10 U.S.C. §§ 251–255) to prevent cities from being destroyed on his watch. It is likely that this is an organized operation of the anarchists in Antifa who are about destruction, not justice. This transfers control from Governors and Mayors to the federal government. President Bush took the same action in 1992 during the L.A. riots.

There may come a point where citizens may shoot an arsonist in a residential neighborhood. Again, absolute proof for the ownership of a semi-automatic weapon with a high-capacity magazine.

We are so screwed.

THE TRUTH SHALL NOT SET YOU FREE

C7FCB987-771F-437F-99DD-EFD79CDEB911

As I watch the mainstream coverage of the civil insurrection occurring before our very eyes, there are some fundamental truths that are being revealed:

— Those are not constitutional conservatives that are rioting, looting, and burning down buildings. They appear to be progressive socialist democrats who have been told that violent revolution is not only acceptable but is the “duty” of those seeking to bring about change. Whipped into a frenzy by trained agitators and activists. I would not be surprised if the arsonists were not “ordinary” individuals. How many of the “protestors” come from outside the city, county, and state to wreak havoc in the name of their political ideology?

— The mainstream media is not telling you the entire truth. Some stations, noted for their extreme progressive socialist democrat bias, appear to be suggesting that the more extreme acts of arson and destruction are somehow normal, to be expected, and serve as a punishment for our historical misdeeds. Truth be told, the media often sensationalizes events to grab audience share — time to condemn the demagogues, agitators, and activists in the media.

— Much of our local leadership, especially those who are themselves minorities, appear to lack any allegiance to the United States Constitution, civil society, and the rule of law. Not so surprising is that they appear to place their personal political future above all as they avoid upsetting their core constituency — at least the more vocal and politically active among them and their incessant agitation on social media.

— These are the very politicians who want to disarm law-abiding citizens and leave them at the nonexistent mercy of the mob. These riots are the perfect case study for semi-automatic weapons with large-capacity magazines. The politicians are willing to let the inner city burn believing the result will be better than Baltimore, Maryland, and other places where the law was not strictly enforced.

— Are you willing to bet your life, the lives of your family, and your financial future on being able to access police and fire protection during riots? Think again. See those parked fire trucks or the police abandoning their police station and running down the street in fear... that appears to be the norm in the inner cities. I am still waiting for the day that a police chief tells a politician that their orders to withdraw and permit illegal acts are unlawful and actually takes action to uphold the law. Or a county sheriff removes a city police chief from command and takes control over the situation.

— More and more I hear academics and pseudo-intellectuals waffle on-and-on about “root causes,” including using words like systemic racism, white privilege, white supremacy, capitalism, and, in some cases, “the patriarchy.” Never once did I hear these pointy-heads ever mention corrupt politicians and the BILLIONS of tax dollars being siphoned off into the pockets of their cronies, the politically-connected special interests. We are well beyond “intelligent” and “important” “dialogues.” We should be in the “kick miscreant asses and take names” mode.

Enough...

Please spare me the Kabuki Theater press conferences where every official gets face-time to set-up their upcoming campaign commercials. Give me, instead, the unified situation commander, who reminds the looters, arsonists, and destructive rioters that they will be caught, jailed, and damn the judicial justice, Antigua, or Black Lives Matter crowd.

Yes, we all witnessed the horrible and tragic death of a fellow citizen — but that does not convey any right to screw-over the law-abiding citizen. Or give a pass to our politicians to wring their hands and spew politically correct nonsense. Something to remember at the ballot box.

I wonder where the Somalis in Minnesota might be — I thought they left this type of lawless hell-hole behind when they entered this country? I wonder what the radical revolutionary, Ilan Omar, might be saying?

Why now?

Every year, thousands of individuals die on the streets of the inner cities with nary a peep from the so-called activists. Where are the grossly outraged “citizens” of those minority communities? Do they not care for the inhumanity, the injustice, and the sanctity of those lives? In my book, ALL lives matter.

I wonder what happens when the truth is revealed ...

“Today we got the first information from Hennepin County’s Medical Examiner, in an attachment to the criminal complaint against officer Derek Chauvin:

"The Hennepin County Medical Examiner (ME) conducted Mr. Floyd’s autopsy on May 26, 2020. The full report of the ME is pending but the ME has made the following preliminary findings. The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by the police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death."

Bottom line...

Where is the political leadership? They have their wealth, position, and protection to insulate them from the consequences of their actions ... not like the suffering citizenry.

We are so screwed.

PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS RIOT

C7FCB987-771F-437F-99DD-EFD79CDEB911

Outsiders?

There is no doubt in my mind that communist agitators and activists are behind much of the destruction and damages caused by looters and rioters who are being given a pass by the local and state government as if they were somehow legitimate protestors.

This is nothing more than civil insurrection and not legitimate protest.

To the extent that our elected officials and members of law enforcement back off and allow life and property to be placed in jeopardy is to ignore their sworn oath and to aid and abet criminality.

No matter how horrific the underlying event may have been, you do not permit the destruction of civil society and the rule of law.

Those who burn property, public and private, or steal the property of others are not protestors, they are criminals. To the extent the perpetrators may be minorities, they have no valid excuse and should be apprehended and tried as any other criminals.

Enough is enough. Forget this bullpucky of “dialogue” and condemn those who are profiting from the chaos.

The people being hurt are not the ones responsible for the George Floyd tragedy.

YOU DO NOT SURRENDER TO MOB CONTROL. TO SURRENDER AN ENTIRE POLICE STATION WITH WEAPONS AND SENSITIVE MATERIALS IS A GROSS BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST.

WHY NEW JERSEY GOVEROR PHIL MURPHY SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF OFFICE

Once again, we find a progressive socialist democrat governor trying to coerce money out of the federal government to cover decades of political corruption and mismanagement…

GOVERNOR-MURPHY

New Jersey governor warns key employees could be laid off without more federal funding

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Sunday warned that key employees -- including health care workers, firefighters, police officers and teachers -- could be laid off if the state does not receive additional funding from the federal government.

[OCS: What about the thousands of unionized non-essential state employees who are still drawing a paycheck? Why are teachers being paid for sitting at home?

This is the face of a corrupt, duplicitous scumbag politician who not only wants the federal government to help him paper-over decades of political corruption and mismanagement, but totally fails as the Governor of New Jersey.

This is typical progressive socialist democrat bullpucky and extortion to threaten the health and welfare of innocent individuals during times of budgetary shortfalls.

Truth be told, it is the sworn duty of all elected officials to prioritize the expenditure of funds to first provide for the public’s safety (law enforcement and fire protection), the public’s health (emergency responders and acute health facilities), and critical infrastructure (water, electricity, sanitation, communications) and these take precedent over all non-essential government workers and discretionary programs.

But, then again, this is the Governor who advances the rights of unions and his own political future over the residents of New Jersey.]

The dire prediction from Murphy reflects what many governors across the country fear as states grapple with budget shortfalls from the economic calamity brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

[OCS: Most of these states had significant budget shortfalls – even after corrupt accounting machinations – and should not be bailed out by more fiscally prudent states.]

The Democrat and other governors have called for additional federal assistance while the White House is reluctant to provide additional funds to states. On Friday, Murphy announced the state is estimated to have a revenue loss of $10 billion.

[OCS: With the state’s crooked accounting, it is likely that the state has a larger deficit than is being reported when you consider state IOUs that replaced dedicated funds and unfunded pension liabilities that were grossly inflated by fraud.]

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett on Sunday said in an earlier interview with CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union" there should be a data analysis on state budget shortfalls and that some state's requests are "radically more money than the expected shortfall for the year."

"I thought Kevin (Hassett) was reasonable, but on this one I have to say I'm going to say time out," Murphy told Bash, adding, "We don't need a data crunch."

[OCS: Heaven forbid any attempt at honest accounting.]

"We announced a budget on Friday for the next four months and we had to cut or defer over $5 billion of expenditures. And this includes potentially laying off educators, firefighters, police, EMS, health care workers. This is not abstract. This is real. It's not a blue state issue. It's an American issue," Murphy said.

[OCS: NO! This is a state issue. Control the unions and eliminate non-essential personnel and all will be well.]

He continued that the last thing New Jersey needs to do is "lay any of those folks off and increase the unemployment rate and underserve our residents."

[OCS: NO! The last things you need are profligate spending on political/special interest projects, supporting legions on non-essential employees, and funding political power grabs.]

"So we need it, and it's not just New Jersey, it's not just blue states, it's American states up and down the country," he said. < Source>

Bottom line…

Quit pandering and start prioritizing. The federal government did not shut down your state or promulgate nonsensical rules you did! No ethical or moral case can be made for taking money out of our pockets and transferring it to politicians who never learn fiscal responsibility.

DEMOCRATS SEEK TO CAUTERIZE SELF-INFLICTED WOUND TO STOP BLEEDING WITH "TEMPORARY" COVID-19 TAX

COVID-19_TAX

Now that some progressive socialist democrats, including a few stupid, progressive socialist republicans have shot themselves in the proverbial foot with their Covid-19 closures, they seek to immunize themselves against the wrath of the special interests that power their campaigns.

Have you noticed while private-sector employees were furloughed or laid off, there was no corresponding pain within the public sector – primarily those public entities controlled by the unions who are the source of mega-millions for democrat campaigns and causes?

It appears that the progressives now want to compensate for massively declining revenue (also known as taxes), much of which sustains their unionize base of public employees by instituting a COVID-19 “temporary surcharge” – another permanent tax by any other name.

The big question: will a majority of the public be so stupid as to allow these politicians to immunize themselves against the wrath of their largest union contributors?

Before the republicans jump up and proclaim their fiscal responsibility, note that they too are profligate spenders and have agreed to massive budgets without a fight – other than in the media where it is all “sound and fury, and signifying nothing.”

And like most taxes, the politicians will divide the tax into small increments and add it to various surcharges like utility bills, sales taxes, gas taxes, etc. where it is the responsibility of the seller to collect the money and remit it to the government. Heaven forbid it should appear on your tax return, which is likely to produce a political push-back.

Bottom line…

One of the most important lessons we have learned during this Chinese Virus pandemic is that a great majority of public workers are actually overpaid and non-essential. And that public employee unions are a malignant cancerous growth on the body politic. A world where the elites and politicians are immune from the adverse consequences of their actions and that the special interest puppeteers will prevail in any environment as long as there are corrupt politicians and idiotic voters.

Remember one thing at the ballot box, in the middle of a democrat caused recession, and they want to tax you to financial death.

We are so screwed.

NEW YORK TIMES LOGIC SUGGESTS THEY MAY BE COMMUNIST AND NAZI SYMPATHIZERS

unamerican-newyorktimes

It appears that the New York Times not only has no shame, but is a corrupt mouthpiece for the progressive socialist democrats…

The managing editors at The New York Times decided that the Memorial Day weekend was an appropriate time to pose a scurrilous, insulting, and outrageous question: “Why Does the U.S. Military Celebrate White Supremacy?”

Of course, their proof of this charge of overt racism is nothing more than claiming that the U.S. military named some of its bases for Confederate Generals.

On this basis, we can then assume that the Times’ sparse reporting about the Holocaust would mark them as Nazi sympathizers. And even though a Jewish family owned the Times, anti-Semitic. Likewise, given the sycophantic reporting of Russian events by Times Bureau Chief Walter Duranty and the cover-up of Stalin’s massacre of Ukrainians, they must be communist sympathizers. Moreover, given their anti-Trump coverage of the Russian Collusion hoax without apology, the Times surely must be un-American.

Excerpts from the despicable The New York Times …

times-hdr

Nevertheless, innocent intentions cannot obscure the truth that secessionists embarked on the Civil War to guarantee the rights of some human beings to own others, or the fact that the Confederate banner represents the same white supremacist values as — and is often displayed in tandem with — the Nazi swastika.

This same toxic legacy clings to the 10 United States military installations across the South that were named for Confederate Army officers during the first half of the 20th century.

Apologists often describe the names as a necessary gesture of reconciliation in the wake of the Civil War. In truth, the namings reflect a federal embrace of white supremacy that found its most poisonous expression in military installations where black servicemen were deliberately placed under the command of white Southerners — who were said to better “understand” Negroes — and confined to substandard housing, segregated transportation systems and even “colored only” seating in movie houses.

Military installations that celebrate white supremacist traitors have loomed steadily larger in the civic landscape since the country began closing smaller bases and consolidating its forces on larger ones. Bases named for men who sought to destroy the Union in the name of racial injustice are an insult to the ideals servicemen and women are sworn to uphold — and an embarrassing artifact of the Time when the military itself embraced anti-American values. It is long past Time for those bases to be renamed.<Source>

Why?

The first reason that springs readily to mind is that the New York Times joins the progressive socialist democrats in hating America.

The second reason is to support the Democrat’s pandering to the Black voting bloc which they desperately need in the upcoming 2020 election – even though they have done absolutely nothing for the democrat-governed inner cities which have remained cesspools of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and crime despite billions in government aid which seems to be siphoned-off to the democrat politicians and their special interests.

The third reason for the Time’s irreverence for history and its support of the “cancel culture” lies in the indisputable fact that the Democrats were the party of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, resistance to civil rights legislation, and the KKK. To expunge the symbols is to remove the topic from discussion.

While it was true that the U.S. military remained segregated until after the end of World War II, the Times overlooks the fact that it was a Southern Democrat racist, ardent segregationist, and progressive icon, President Woodrow Wilson who re-segregated the federal workforce under civil service. To its credit, the Times reported the protest demanding the renaming of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Another act of pandering.

The Case Against Woodrow Wilson at Princeton (November 24, 2015)

Student protesters at Princeton performed a valuable public service last week when they demanded that the administration acknowledge the toxic legacy of Woodrow Wilson, who served as university president and New Jersey governor before being elected to the White House. He was an unapologetic racist whose administration rolled back the gains that African-Americans achieved just after the Civil War, purged black workers from influential jobs and transformed the government into an instrument of white supremacy.

The protesters’ top goal — convincing the university to rename the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the residential complex known as Wilson College — has drawn heavy fire from traditionalists. But the fact that racist policies enacted during Wilson’s presidency are still felt in the country today makes it imperative that the university’s board of trustees not be bound by the forces of the status quo. <Source>

And, of course, the fourth reason is clickbait, media attention, and an increase in revenues for the declining news outlet.

Bottom line…

The United States is still young and evolving, and those who want to remove statutes and rewrite or cancel historical events to fit a political narrative are doing our nation a grave unpatriotic disservice. We need to remember the injustice of the past to inform the actions of the future.

For those who attempt to weaponize history, like the New York Times, to pursue a political ideology is to be part of the problem, not part of the solution. I will leave you with the words of Booker T. Washington, which applies to both individuals and those who direct the operations of organizations.

“There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well.”

“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

OCS: MEMORIAL DAY 2020

On this Memorial Day, 2020 …

Today, we commemorate our brave soldiers who died or were grievously wounded to safeguard our precious freedom. As we reflect on these sacrifices, let us honor their lives and consider and condemn those who would waste their magnificent contribution to America -- either by knowingly collaborating with our enemies or restricting our God-given inalienable rights that are enshrined in our Constitution.

Those politicians, jurists, and others who overtly or covertly undermine or subvert our Constitution are every bit the foe of every American as if they were standing on the battlefield under arms.

Freedom is being squandered by self-serving traitors who are selling out our nation and its citizens in return for temporary political power.

While our troops fought to protect each other and our nation, today's political leadership, from the corrupt, incompetent, uncaring politicians, the bureaucratic cadre of progressive socialist democrats, the activist judiciary which creates law out of whole cloth, and those big technology multinationals that surreptitiously provide aid and comfort to our enemies, you are all little more than traitors in the battle to preserve America and American freedom.

Be grateful for your freedom and remember it should never be taken for granted. We have seen, in just a few cycles of progressive socialist democrats, our national resolve, our military strength, and our stature within the international community eroded by corrupt, incompetent, and uncaring progressive socialist democrats. Our enemy appears to own the Democrat Party, which should rightly brand themselves as the U.S. Communist Party.

Remember who we are and what we stand for -- and kick the bastards that do not agree to the curb.

The Patriotic Kid wishes you and yours a worshipful memorial day …

ARE U.S. SCIENTISTS SELLING OUT TO THE ENEMY?

coronavirus-warning

We have just seen what a pandemic can do to the United States of America, yet some want to reward the very country that perpetrated the pandemic…

More and more we are seeing behind the scenes, where American institutions, educators, scientists, and others are taking contributions from the Chinese Communists and hiding them from public scrutiny.

U.S. Accuses Harvard Scientist of Concealing Chinese Funding

Prosecutors say Charles M. Lieber, the chair of Harvard’s chemistry department, lied about contacts with a Chinese state-run initiative that seeks to draw foreign-educated talent.

Early Tuesday morning, F.B.I. agents arrived at two of the most protected corners of Harvard University’s academic cloister, raking through a gabled house in the suburb of Lexington and a neoclassical brick building in Cambridge.

By afternoon, one of Harvard’s scientific luminaries was in handcuffs, charged with making a false statement to federal authorities about his financial relationship with the Chinese government, and especially his participation in its Thousand Talents program, a campaign to attract foreign-educated scientists to China.

The arrest of Charles M. Lieber, the chair of Harvard’s department of chemistry and chemical biology, signaled a new, aggressive phase in the Justice Department’s campaign to root out scientists who are stealing research from American laboratories. <Source>

Justice Dept. charges University of Tennessee professor with hiding ties to China

A professor at the University of Tennessee has been arrested on charges that he hid his relationship with a Chinese university at the same time he received research grants from the federal government, the Justice Department said Thursday. Anming Hu, an associate professor in the department of mechanical, aerospace and biomedical engineering at the university’s flagship Knoxville campus, was charged with three counts of wire fraud and three counts of making false statements.

Prosecutors say Hu defrauded the National Aeronautics and Space Administration by failing to disclose the fact that he was also a professor at the Beijing University of Technology in China. Under federal law, NASA cannot fund or give grant money to Chinese-owned companies or universities.

“This is just the latest case involving professors or researchers concealing their affiliations with China from their American employers and the U.S. government,” Assistant Attorney General John Demers, the Justice Department’s top national security official, said in a statement. “We will not tolerate it.” <Source>

So why am I not surprised to see someone’s deliberate effort to marshal prominent scientists to plead the case for money for the Chinese Communists, specifically the institution which may have been responsible for a global pandemic that killed Americans and decimated the American economy?

Prominent Scientists Denounce End to Coronavirus Grant

A group of 77 Nobel laureates wants the US government to review a grant cancellation for research in China directly related to preventing pandemics.

The funding provided by the National Institutes of Health supported researchers in China working with bats, which can carry viruses like the one that causes Covid-19/

A group of 77 Nobel laureates has asked for an investigation into the cancellation of a federal grant to EcoHealth Alliance, a group that researches bat coronaviruses in China.

The pre-eminent scientists characterized the explanation for the decision by the National Institutes of Health as “preposterous.” The agency said the investigation into the sources of pandemics did not fit “with program goals and agency priorities.”

The Nobel recipients said the grant was canceled “just a few days after President Trump responded to a question from a reporter who erroneously claimed that the grant awarded millions of dollars to investigators in Wuhan.” President Trump said the grant would be ended immediately.

The grant had been given to EcoHealth Alliance, an organization with headquarters in New York that studies the potential for spillover of animal viruses to humans around the globe. The group collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which has been at the center of conspiracy theories about how the novel coronavirus originated. Virologists and intelligence agencies agree that the virus evolved in nature and spread from animals to humans.

Dr. Daszak said that the grant-making agencies score applications for grants. His application for renewal went through the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, which is part of the National Institutes of Health. “We were in the top three percent of grants submitted. I’ve never got a score that good. It clearly was a central, high-impact priority for NIH to fund. And that was 10 months before, before it was terminated.” <Source>

The question should be: are these researchers creating virus mutations that can cross-over into the human population and result in a pandemic that has no vaccine preventative and no immediate cure?

Let us revisit the esteemed Dr. Fauci’s 2011 plea to continue research, which he concedes can be dangerous…

A flu virus risk worth taking

A deadly influenza virus has circulated widely in birds in recent years, decimating flocks but rarely spreading to humans. Nonetheless, because of its persistence in bird flocks, this highly pathogenic avian influenza virus has loomed as a major public health threat. Seasonal influenza kills less than 1 percent of the people it infects. In contrast, human infections with H5N1, though exceedingly rare, are fatal in more than half of cases. Should this virus mutate in a way that allows it to be transmitted as efficiently among people as seasonal influenza viruses are, it could take an unprecedented toll on human life.

A number of important scientific and public health questions regarding this virus remain unanswered, including the likelihood of such mutations arising and the mechanisms by which they may occur. Two recent studies co-funded by the National Institutes of Health have shed light on how this potentially grave human health threat could become a reality.

Working carefully with influenza viruses they have engineered in isolated biocontainment laboratories, scientists in Europe and the United States have identified several mechanisms by which the virus might evolve to transmit efficiently in the ferret, the best animal model for human influenza infection. This research has allowed identification of genetic pathways by which such a virus could better adapt to transmission among people. This laboratory virus does not exist in nature. There is, however, considerable concern that such a virus could evolve naturally. We cannot predict whether it or something similar will arise naturally, nor when or where it might appear.

Given these uncertainties, important information and insights can come from generating a potentially dangerous virus in the laboratory.

[OCS: So can death, destruction, and world-wide misery.]

While the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention provide excellent public health surveillance for novel influenza strains, influenza outbreaks still occur suddenly and in unexpected places.

[OCS: We now know this is bullpucky!]

The recent H1N1 pandemic exemplifies the problem: In 2009, a new influenza virus emerged. It was shown to have originated from an animal reservoir, and it spread so rapidly that it strained the pharmaceutical industry’s capacity to prepare vaccines fast enough to blunt its spread. We do not fully understand the underlying factors that allow influenza viruses to be transmitted efficiently in humans after they emerge from different species. The ferret transmission studies were intended in part to fill these important gaps in knowledge.

In addition, determining the molecular Achilles’ heel of these viruses can allow scientists to identify novel antiviral drug targets that could be used to prevent infection in those at risk or to better treat those who become infected. Decades of experience tells us that disseminating information gained through biomedical research to legitimate scientists and health officials provides a critical foundation for generating appropriate countermeasures and, ultimately, protecting the public health.

[OCS: So where is the SARS vaccine? The H1N1vaccine? Over a decade and nothing?]

The question is whether benefits of such research outweigh risks. The answer is not simple. A highly pathogenic bird flu virus transmissible in humans could arise in ways not predicted by laboratory studies. And it is not clear whether this laboratory virus would behave in humans as it does in ferrets. Nonetheless, new data provide valuable insights that can inform influenza preparedness and help delineate the principles of virus transmission between species.

Along with support for this research comes a responsibility to ensure that the information is used for good. Safeguarding against the potential accidental release or deliberate misuse of laboratory pathogens is imperative. The engineered viruses developed in the ferret experiments are maintained in high-security laboratories.

[OCS: Are you effin kidding me? Using laboratories controlled by our enemies who could be running parallel biowarfare programs down the street, routinely deny the free flow of information and access to their laboratories? What could possibly go wrong?  We already know of two accidental releases from Wuhan.

Perhaps people should take the time to read, “The Long History of Accidental Laboratory Releases of Potential Pandemic Pathogens Is Being Ignored In the COVID-19 Media Coverage.”]

The scientists, journal editors and funding agencies involved are working together to ensure that access to specific information that could be used to create dangerous pathogens is limited to those with an established and legitimate need to know. <Source>

Bottom line…

Funding our enemy’s biowarfare programs and conducting dangerous research on foreign shores is effin crazy.

Let’s ask Dr. Fauci if it really was worth the risk. Considering Fauci’s security clearance and cozy relations with the Communist Chinese,  perhaps Obama should have surveilled him instead of Lt. General Michael Flynn?

We are so screwed.

KOMMUNIST KOMRADE KAMALA CARRYING WATER FOR THE CHINESE COMMUNISTS?

kk

2020 Vice Presidential hopeful, Senator Kamala Harris, continues to play the race card …

Once again, an un-American progressive socialist democrat engages in identity politics by introducing a Senate resolution condemning the use of the descriptive name ‘Chinese/Wuhan Virus’ as being racist and an attack on Asians.

Not a peep about the dead, dying, and suffering caused by the Chinese Communists who deliberately withheld critical medical knowledge and denied access to medical teams that may have contained the Wuhan virus before it became a worldwide pandemic.

The resolution, S.R. 580

“calls on all public officials to condemn and denounce anti-Asian sentiment, racism, discrimination, and religious intolerance related to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019), and to call on federal law enforcement officials, working with state and local officials, to take specified steps.”

calls on federal officials to expeditiously investigate and document all credible reports of hate crimes and incidents and threats against the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community, and investigate and prosecute perpetrators.”

“recommits the United States to serving as a world leader in building more inclusive, diverse, and tolerant societies by (1) prioritizing language access and inclusivity in communication practices, and (2) combating misinformation and discrimination that put Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders at risk.”

This is blatant censorship and denial of the First Amendment’s free speech provision and ignores the facts: one, that pathogens are often named for the first geographical outbreak region; and two, the Communist Chinese government and their state-controlled media are trying to avoid using virus descriptives like the Chinese or Wuhan virus which remind people that the Chinese Communist government is wholly responsible for a worldwide pandemic that has resulted in severe medical, social, and financial consequences.

Bottom line…

There is no doubt in my mind that Senator Kamala Harris is a racist who sees everything through the lens of identity politics and race, but is also a shameless opportunist who seeks to exploit the suffering of millions of people on behalf of her political ambitions.

In my mind, any anti-Asian sentiment resides only in the minds of un-American progressive socialist democrats like Kamala Harris and her ilk.

Before even considering supporting Kamala Harris ask yourself one question: Do you want the nation governed by San Francisco’s political values. Because Joe Biden is undoubtedly incapable of running the government – which would be run y the Vice President (or even the President if Biden becomes incapacitated) and the gang of Hillary/Obama supporters who have institutionalized corruption in government.

We are so screwed.
