2020: 9TH DEMOCRATIC DEBATE: IT GOT DIRTY FAST

It was an exciting, high-energy debate -- the Bronx Bolshevik versus the elitist billionaire as everyone else dumped on Michael Bloomberg…

Many in the Democrat Party are worrying about keeping a communist or an egotistical narcissistic billionaire from becoming the face of the party? The candidates only care about winning and are certainly willing to say or do anything to win the nomination.

DEBATE-LAS-VEGAS

From the opening attack…

HOLT: Mayor Bloomberg, can Senator Sanders beat President Trump? And how do you want to respond to what else he said?

BLOOMBERG: I don't think there's any chance of the senator beating President Trump. You don't start out by saying I've got 160 million people I'm going to take away the insurance plan that they love. That's just not a way that you go and start building the coalition that the Sanders camp thinks that they can do. I don't think there's any chance whatsoever. And if he goes and is the candidate, we will have Donald Trump for another four years. And we can't stand that.

HOLT: Senator Warren?

WARREN: So I'd like to talk about who we're running against, a billionaire who calls women "fat broads" and "horse-faced lesbians." And, no, I'm not talking about Donald Trump. I'm talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist polls like redlining and stop and frisk.

Look, I'll support whoever the Democratic nominee is. But understand this: Democrats take a huge risk if we just substitute one arrogant billionaire for another.

HOLT: Mayor Buttigieg, you'd like to weigh in.

BUTTIGIEG: Yes, we've got to wake up as a party. We could wake up two weeks from today, the day after Super Tuesday, and the only candidates left standing will be Bernie Sanders and Mike Bloomberg, the two most polarizing figures on this stage.

And most Americans don't see where they fit if they've got to choose between a socialist who thinks that capitalism is the root of all evil and a billionaire who thinks that money ought to be the root of all power.

Let's put forward somebody who actually lives and works in a middle-class neighborhood, in an industrial Midwestern city. Let's put forward somebody who's actually a Democrat.

We shouldn't have to choose between one candidate who wants to burn this party down and another candidate who wants to buy this party out. We can do better.

Warren: "I'm sorry, the question is, are the women bound by being muzzled by you? You could release them from that immediately. Because understand, this is not just a question of the mayor's character, This is also a question about electability. We are not going to beat Donald Trump with a man who has who knows how many nondisclosure agreements and the drip, drip, drip of stories of women saying they have been harassed and discriminated against. That's not what we do as Democrats,.

Klobuchar: “Are you trying to say I’m dumb? Are you mocking me here, Pete? I said I made an error. People sometimes forget names.”

Buttigieg: “If you look at the choice between a revolution or the status quo and you don’t see where you fit in that picture, then join us.” [OCS: He is acting – he is not a moderate and every bit a leftist radical as Warren and the others.]

About that communism thing…

JACKSON: Mayor Bloomberg, you own a large company. Would you support what Senator Sanders is proposing?

BLOOMBERG: Absolutely not. I can't think of a ways that would make it easier for Donald Trump to get re-elected than listening to this conversation.

It's ridiculous. We're not going to throw out capitalism. We tried. Other countries tried that. It was called communism, and it just didn't work.

SANDERS: But here is the point. Let's talk about democratic socialism. Not communism, Mr. Bloomberg. That's a cheap shot. Let's talk about -- let's talk about what goes on in countries like Denmark, where Pete correctly pointed out they have a much higher quality of life in many respects than we do. What are we talking about?

[OCS: Denmark is not a socialist country like Venezuela or Cuba. They have a small, but majorly homogeneous population, and while you will find high taxes and good social services, they have capitalism-based businesses. Not a good analogy.]

We are living in many ways in a socialist society right now. The problem is, as Dr. Martin Luther King reminded us, we have socialism for the very rich, rugged individualism for the poor.

HOLT: The question was about socialism.

BLOOMBERG: What a wonderful country we have. The best known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses. What did I miss here?

SANDERS: Well, you'll miss that I work in Washington, house one.

BLOOMBERG: That's the first problem.

SANDERS: Live in Burlington, house two.

BLOOMBERG: That's good.

SANDERS: And like thousands of other Vermonters, I do have a summer camp. Forgive me for that. Where is your home? Which tax haven do you have your home?

BLOOMBERG: New York City, thank you very much, and I pay all my taxes. And I'm happy to do it because I get something for it. And let me say, I thought the senator next to me was half right.

[OCS: Truth-be-told, both are authoritarians who want to tell you how to live and join the communists in Europe when it comes to using global climate change to accrete political power.]

SANDERS: We have a grotesque and immoral distribution of wealth and income. Mike Bloomberg owns more wealth than the bottom 125 million Americans. That's wrong. That's immoral. That should not be the case when we got a half a million people sleeping out on the street, where we have kids who cannot afford to go to college, when we have 45 million people dealing with student debt.

We have enormous problems facing this country, and we cannot continue seeing a situation where, in the last three years, billionaires in this country saw an $850 billion increase in their wealth -- congratulations, Mr. Bloomberg -- but the average American last year saw less than a 1 percent increase in his or her income. That's wrong.

Funny to see Joe Biden claim to be poor while his family made millions off selling Biden's access and influence…

HOLT: All right, Vice President Biden, weigh in on this question of Americans' feeling about socialist candidates.

BIDEN: Well, look, let me weigh in on -- you know, for 36 years and as vice president, I was listed as the poorest man in Congress. I made money when I wrote a book about my son and it surprised me how much it sold. First time I've ever made any money.

While apologizing for supporting “stop and frisk” …

BLOOMBERG: Well, if I go back and look at my time in office, the one thing that I'm really worried about, embarrassed about, was how it turned out with stop and frisk.

When I got into office, there were 650 murders a year in New York City. And I thought that my first responsibility was to give people the right to live. That's the basic right of everything. And we started -- we adopted a policy, which had been in place, the policy that all big police departments use, of stop and frisk.

Funny, this is the putz who would disarm law-abiding citizens, create larger victim pools, and letting more criminals roam the streets. He has been surrounded by armed security 24/7 for decades – a great example of don’t do as I do, do as I say.

HISPandering…

KLOBUCHAR: You know what, Pete? If you could let me finish, since I've been in the arena. Ted Kennedy asked me to work on the first immigration bill. We were able with President Bush to at least get that bill to a vote. I'm sorry that Senator Sanders actually opposed that bill, and I worked on it. And if we had gotten that bill done, there would have been a path to citizenship for so many people.

Then I worked on the 2013 bill. I'm actually so proud of the work I have done on immigration reform. And you know what? You have not been in the arena doing that work. You've memorized a bunch of talking points and a bunch of things, but I can tell you one thing.

What the people of this country want, they want a leader that has the heart for the immigrants of this country, and that is me.

The open-borders political circus continues and I am glad this is not our circus and not our monkey.

Bottom line…

Thanks for the entertainment, the sound bites, and the general excitement of a party at war with itself to see who can fundamentally transform America into a socialist hell-hole like Cuba and Venezuela and screw the American citizen.

Like previous debates, President Donald Trump was the winner. Bloomberg appears to be the little wizard behind the screen and not the person portrayed in his political ads. Sanders took the top position. Biden was ho-hum.

It appears that nobody challenged why anti-Semitism is rampant in the Democrat Party and Bernie Sanders is endorsed by so many prominent virulent anti-Israel, anti-Jew, anti-Semites?

And, if money could buy an election, what happened to billionaire Tom Steyer who couldn’t even buy his way on to the Las Vegas debate stage?

In the final analysis, it is not so much what happened in the past, but what these radical progressive socialist democrats want to do to our country in the future.

Vote Trump 2020.

We are so screwed.

2020: 9TH DEMOCRAT DEBATE -- HOW CAN THEY GET THE COMMUNIST OFF THE STAGE?

This should be an exciting debate -- the Bronx Bolshevik versus the two elitist billionaires…

How can the Democrats keep a communist from representing the party? Will former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg be attacked for his racist, sexist, ageist, class utterances now that the debate commission relaxed its standards to include the politically incorrect candidate who will do or say anything to advance his self-serving agenda? Will Mayor Pete kiss his husband on camera? Will the unions screw-up the caucus in the coming days? Anything can happen.

DEBATE-LAS-VEGAS

Analysis, if any is worthwhile, will appear tomorrow after the democrat debate or debacle…

Personally I am wondering if Michael Bloomberg will fire back against why Bernie Sanders is endorsed by so many prominent virulent anti-Israel, anti-Jew, anti-Semites?

DANGER: GOP CONSIDERING AMNESTY

The old saying that Leopards do not change their spots appears to be true as we find GOP Senator Lindsey Graham and others trying to revive the John McCain amnesty for illegal aliens program…

danger

It appears that Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), James Lankford (R-OK), and Thom Tillis (R-NC) are trying to convince President Trump and Vice President Pence to revive the amnesty program that passed the progressive socialist democrat House of Representatives last year. The bill known as the Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 5038) appears to grant amnesty to every illegal alien who claims that they previously worked in agriculture while creating an unlimited guest-worker program.

This bill contains provisions related to alien farmworkers, including provisions establishing a certified agricultural worker (CAW) status and changing the H-2A temporary worker program.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may grant CAW status to an applying alien who (1) performed at least 1,035 hours of agricultural labor during the two-year period prior to November 12, 2019, (2) on that date was inadmissible, deportable, or under a grant of deferred enforced departure or temporary protected status, and (3) has been continuously present in the United States from that date until receiving CAW status. The bill imposes additional crime-related inadmissibility grounds on CAW applicants and makes some other grounds inapplicable.

CAW status shall be valid for 5.5 years and may be extended. DHS may grant dependent status to the spouse or children of a principal alien.

An alien with a pending application may not be detained or removed by DHS and shall be authorized for employment until DHS makes a final decision on the application.

A CAW alien (and dependents) may apply for lawful permanent resident status after meeting various requirements, including performing a certain amount of agricultural labor for a number of years.

[OCS: Existing law provides that if you are a U.S. permanent resident you cannot apply for U.S. citizenship until you have lived in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for at least five years.

This is the path to citizenship – and all it would take is a Democrat majority in the House, Senate, and a Democrat President to alter the time period to less than one-year. This bill also supports chain migration because it also applies to dependents.]

DHS shall create an electronic platform for (1) filing H-2A petitions, (2) facilitating the processing of H-2A cases, and (3) providing agencies a single tool for obtaining H-2A-related case information.

The bill makes various changes to the H-2A program, such as (1) modifying the method for calculating and making adjustments to the H-2A worker minimum wage, (2) specifying how an employer may satisfy requirements that it attempted to recruit U.S. workers, (3) requiring H-2A employers to guarantee certain minimum work hours, and (4) making the program available for year-round agricultural work and reserving a visa allocation for the dairy industry.

DHS shall establish a pilot program allowing certain H-2A workers to apply for portable status, which gives the worker 60 days after leaving a position to secure new employment with a registered H-2A employer.

DHS shall establish an electronic system patterned on the E-Verify Program for employers to verify an individual's identity and employment authorization. Employers hiring individuals for agricultural employment must use the system.

[OCS: This is a joke as the government refuses to make an employer’s use of E-Verify mandatory and looks the other way when employers do not use the system.]

This bill permanently establishes the Housing Preservation and Revitalization Program, which provides financing assistance for rural rental housing and off-farm labor housing and rental assistance for qualified tenants of such housing. It also authorizes the Department of Agriculture to provide various assistance, including funding for insuring loans and grants for new farmworker housing. <Source>

The back door opens…

Once again, the squishy GOP appears to be willing to grant amnesty before solving more pressing problems like protecting our borders, dealing with the impact on social programs, and allowing the culture to shift as illegal aliens refuse to assimilate and continue to hold an allegiance to a foreign sovereign power.

Even worse, this program would have workers indentured to employers where they are likely to be abused under the threat of having their work permit canceled. This program stinks and needs a little sunshine disinfectant.

Bottom line…

While the nation is distracted with impeachment and the fight between the presidential contenders, crap is sneaking through the system.

By all means, let the GOP give the Democrats a big win with part of their future core constituency and destroy the future of the GOP in America. Lindsey Graham is such a chameleon … talking tough and tiptoeing through the tulips.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!

We are so screwed.

TAX TIME: HERE COME THE SCAMMERS

As the night follows the day, scammers follow the money. And what better occasion to bilk the gullible than during tax time where many Americans receive tax refunds that were withheld by their employer. So I was not surprised that I received a bogus email purportedly from the IRS.

FACT: IRS DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH INDIVIDUAL TAXPAYERS BY EMAIL.

FACT: IRS DOES NOT ASK YOU FOR YOUR PERSONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION WHICH SHOULD ALREADY BE INCLUDED IN YOUR FILED TAX RETURN.

irs-1

Note the scammers want you to create a valid e-Refund account that they can then use to either claim your refund or, even worse, file a bogus return that would lead to a massive refund. Note also that the scammers are seeking bank information that can rain your account of funds. And, the bank is under no obligation to return those long-gone funds to make you whole. You are screwed, except for the fact you can file a personal casualty loss deduction on your next tax return. See IRS tax topic 515 for more information.

Red flags are flying…

red-flag

Other than the fact that the IRS does not engage with taxpayers in this manner, consider that the address does not originate from a .gov domain address, and the message is blindly sent to “Recipients” to mask a mass-email. Asain, note the domain name is not a government site.

irs-2

Bottom line…

Take a deep breath when you see apparently “official” emails. And should you doubt the origin of the communication, can the sender directly – but do not use any phone number supplied in the communication.

Forewarned is forearmed – don’t screw yourself with fat fingers that outrun the brain.

CALIFORNIA COMMUNISTS FUND CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY? (UPDATED)

From published reports in credible publications, it appears that Yu Ben Ming has been allowed to resign for wrongdoing – taking payments from the Chinese government and hidden investments which do not appear on his financial disclosure form.

CalPERS Chief Investment Officer Ben Meng Made False, Felonious Financial Disclosure Report; More Proof of Lack of Compliance Under Marcie Frost

CalPERS’ Chief Investment Officer Ben Meng has filed demonstrably false financial disclosure documents, flouting the requirements of the California Fair Political Practices Commission. As a result, not only has Meng committed perjury, but CalPERS’ failure to review or require Meng to correct these documents points to a major compliance failure, since CalPERS has, or should have, records that would show that Meng’s financial disclosures were incomplete.

Recall that this lapse follows CalPERS having had a huge spike in personal trading violations, which it has yet to explain adequately, let alone describe what it will do to prevent abuses like that from recurring. Poor controls are a disaster in the making for a financial institution, as the Wells Fargo fake account train wreck illustrates.

To make this sorry situation worse, CalPERS delayed releasing the Forms 700s until it became clear they’d be published regardless, suggesting that they were fully aware of this and potentially other lapses, yet refused to correct them. <Source>

The question remains, will anyone be held criminally liable for fraud or other violations? Will senior management take responsibility and resign – or are they complicit?

I find it outrageous that California’s progressive socialist democrats would allow a former member of the Communist Chinese Party to direct $3+ BILLION in funding from California pensioners to Communist Chinese companies, some of which are developing black-listed or dual-use military technology.

From Congressman Jim Banks (R-IN)…

Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03), member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, sent a letter today to California Governor Gavin Newsom urging him to investigate California Public Employees' Retirement System’s (CalPERS) Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Yu Ben Meng, for his ties to the Chinese Communist Party and suspicious investment decisions.

“In his remarks last week, Secretary Pompeo was correct when he said China knows that it won’t get concessions from this administration, so it has pivoted to exploiting state and local governments,” said Banks. “Unfortunately, China found success in California. CalPERS has been funneling retired public servants’ savings to companies that abuse human rights and supply the Chinese military. And it has done so at the behest of its CIO, Yu Ben Meng, a man enlisted in China’s Thousand Talents Program—which has been described  by the FBI as one of China’s ‘non-traditional espionage’ programs.  This poses a national security risk to every region of the United States. I hope Governor Newsom appreciates the gravity of the situation and speedily launches an investigation into Yu Ben Meng and CalPERS.”

CalPERS is a state agency responsible for managing $360 billion of California public-sector workers’ retirement and health benefits.

CalPERS holds $3.1 billion worth of shares in 172 different Chinese Companies, many of which are complicit in the Chinese Communist Party’s human-rights abuses and act against the United States’ interests, including: China Shipbuilding Industry Corp, the largest manufacturer of China’s navy ships; Hikvision, the company that provides Xinjiang with its surveillance tools; and China Communications Construction Co, which is the largest builder in China’s Belt & Road Initiative.

CalPERS CIO, Yu Ben Meng, is a Thousand Talents Program recruit and worked for China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) until 2015, a state agency charged with managing 3.1 trillion in China’s foreign exchange assets.

The letter requests Governor Newsom investigate Mr. Meng’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party and review the effects his tenure has had on CalPERS investments in China.

Yu Ben Meng…

Yu (Ben) Meng, Ph.D.

ybm

Chief Investment Officer

Yu (Ben) Meng rejoined CalPERS in January 2019 as chief investment officer (CIO).

He oversees an Investment Office of nearly 400 employees and manages investment portfolios of roughly $400 billion, including the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund and affiliate funds.

Yu, a U.S. citizen born in China, returned to CalPERS after more than three years as the deputy CIO at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), the largest asset pool in the world with assets under management of over $3 trillion U.S. dollars.

[Notice, they do not mention that he is a “naturalized” citizen and that it is the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Exchange.]

Prior to his time at SAFE, he served at CalPERS for seven years with his last role as the investment director of Asset Allocation. He also was a portfolio manager in fixed income.

Before joining CalPERS in 2008, Yu worked at Barclays Global Investors as a senior portfolio manager, Lehman Brothers as a risk officer, and Morgan Stanley as a fixed-income trader.

He also serves as a member of the Future of Finance Advisory Council (CFA Institute) and is an associate editor for the Journal of Investment Management.

In 2014 Yu was the recipient of the Cheit Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Haas School of Business.

He holds a master's degree in financial engineering from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a doctorate in civil engineering from the University of California, Davis.

[OCS: There is no doubt in my mind that Meng is smart, well-educated, and extremely competent – my only question is where his loyalties might lie and the extent to which he may be aiding and abetting a hostile foreign power with funding and perhaps access to American technology.]

<Source: Calpers>

Funding our enemies?

It should come as no surprise that more than a few of California Silicon Valley oligarchs and the families of prominent California politicians have significant business dealings in China. No more of a surprise than to find a Chinese spy served for twenty years on the staff of Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, – and when discovered was quietly allowed to retire with his government pension instead of being sent to prison. But then again, Pelosi’s husband has a significant relationship with the Communist Chinese.

Bottom line…

Once again we find the progressive socialist democrats projecting their illicit behavior and misdeeds onto the GOP, the Trump Administration, and President Donald Trump himself.

Yu Been Screwed.

CALIFORNIA'S LEGAL VOTE RIGGING

mexifornia-vote

With California’s so-called “jungle primary” legislation (Proposition 14 – passed June 2010) which makes it unlikely for independents and only the strongest Republicans to appear on the general ballot, and the automatic motor-voter registration (AB 1416 – October 2015), the progressive socialist Democrats in California want to exploit their numerical superiority by demanding everyone vote – or face an as yet undefined penalty or fine.

Proposition 14 (Effective January 1, 2011)

Instead of allowing each political party to hold a primary election open to just its members (and independent voters, if the party chooses to do so) to determine its candidate for the general election, Proposition 14 creates a single primary ballot that would be identical for all voters. All candidates running in the primary election, regardless of their political party preference (if any), would appear on that ballot. The two candidates with the most votes would then qualify for the general election, regardless of which party they identify with (if any). Proposition 14 specifically prohibits write-in candidates in the second round.

AB 1461 (10/10/15 -- Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 729, Statutes of 2015.)

Provides for every eligible voter to be automatically registered to vote when that person conducts specified business with the DMV, unless the voter opts out.

AB 1407 (02/26/18 -- Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 4, Statutes of 2018.)

Building upon past legislative efforts, AB 1407 would give 16 and 17 year-olds the opportunity to pre-register to vote. Voters who are engaged early, are much more likely to become consistent voters and active citizens, something that is vital to the continued success of California.

[OCS: What’s next? Perhaps noting that many illegal aliens do not check the right box to “opt out” of voter registration, when can we expect another progressive piece of legislation to pre-register illegal aliens to vote if California legislation changes in the future. Of course, this information will be withheld from any federal agency enforcing the immigration laws of the United States.]

Enough is enough -- but not apparently for Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael

The progressive socialist democrats in California are now enslaved by the California oligarchs in Silicon Valley, the corrupt public employee unions, and the special interests who simply buy their preferred legislators to carry their boneheaded and idiotic legislation.

Compulsory voting?

AB 2070 – (02/14/20 – Committee on Elections and Reapportionment)

This bill would require a person who qualifies and is registered to vote to cast a ballot, marked or unmarked in whole or in part, at every election held within the territory within which the person resides and the election is held. The bill would require the Secretary of State to enforce this requirement. <Source>

Genius!

In a majority Democrat state, with an overwhelming number of illegal aliens, you solve the problem of turning out your majority vote by demanding that all registered voters vote or face an unspecified penalty as yet to be determined by the California Secretary of State -- who is likely to be a progressive socialist democrat.

Think of this as a democracy tax if you decline to vote. Just the bureaucracy that would be needed to enforce this idiotic and asinine legislation is unwieldy. Oh, I forgot, it will probably be assigned to California’s super-efficient (NOT!) Department of Motor Vehicles who have difficulty issuing REAL-ID compliant licenses in a timely manner.

Bottom line…

Progressive socialist democrats will do everything in their power to maintain perpetual power in this formerly Golden State.

We are so screwed.

NEW YORK TIMES: MORE STUNNING HYPOCRISY ON DISPLAY

There is little or no doubt that the high-ranking members of the Obama Administration, including former President Barack Obama, are desperate to keep the full story of the Trump/Russia collusion hoax from being fully investigated and those responsible prosecuted for criminal actions.

american-pravda

Sometimes, we can find important information in the progressive New York Times which is little more than a propaganda adjunct to the Democrat Party…

Justice Dept. Is Investigating C.I.A. Resistance to Sharing Russia Secrets

WASHINGTON — Trump administration officials investigating the government’s response to Russia’s election interference in 2016 appear to be hunting for a basis to accuse Obama-era intelligence officials of hiding evidence or manipulating analysis about Moscow’s covert operation, according to people familiar with aspects of the inquiry.

[OCS: Not surprising that the New York Times is spinning a particular narrative using anonymous sources which may have been highly partisan and not completely truthful in the past. Notice how they characterize the investigation using the Democrat’s famous “projection” trick – “appear to be hunting for a basis to accuse Obama-era intelligence officials…?" Precisely the same treatment given to Candidate and now-President Donald Trump.]

Since his election, President Trump has attacked the intelligence agencies that concluded that Russia secretly tried to help him win, fostering a narrative that they sought to delegitimize his victory. He has long promoted the investigation by John H. Durham, the prosecutor examining their actions, as a potential pathway to proving that a deep-state cabal conspired against him.

[OCS: Notice how the Democrats and their media propagandists are trying to get ahead of a potentially damning preliminary report by U.S. Attorney John Durham? Notice how they are restating the conclusions of the comprehensive two-year Mueller Report and the various reports of the Inspectors General? At this point in time, there is little doubt that the Obama Administration used the intelligence and law enforcement agencies against Donald Trump in a coordinated attack that included domestic spying on individual Americans.]

Questions asked by Mr. Durham, who was assigned by Attorney General William P. Barr to scrutinize the early actions of law enforcement and intelligence officials struggling to understand the scope of Russia’s scheme, suggest that Mr. Durham may have come to view with suspicion several clashes between analysts at different intelligence agencies over who could see each other’s highly sensitive secrets, the people said.

[OCS: Notice the narrative being advanced: just benign disagreements between analysts at various agencies. They don’t mention that it was highly-placed Obama officials that unmasked and disseminated information that should have remained classified and redacted. Especially troublesome since Susan Rice wrote a cover-Obama’s-ass memo to herself in the closing minutes of Obama’s Administration on Trump’s inauguration day. The same Susan Rice who went on all Sunday news shows and lied to the American people about the origins of the 9/11/2001 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.]

Mr. Durham appears to be pursuing a theory that the C.I.A., under its former director John O. Brennan, had a preconceived notion about Russia or was trying to get to a particular result — and was nefariously trying to keep other agencies from seeing the full picture lest they interfere with that goal, the people said.

[OCS: The most significant question: Did John Brennan and/or others manipulate the analysis contained in the January 6, 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment which was then disseminated to the White House, certain members of Congress, and leaked to the media?

“We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency.

We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump.

We have high confidence in these judgments.

We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him.

All three agencies agree with this judgment. CIA and FBI have high confidence in this judgment; NSA has moderate confidence.”

Which raises the question of the role played by James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence and Brennan’s boss.]

But officials from the F.B.I. and the National Security Agency have told Mr. Durham and his investigators that such an interpretation is wrong and based on a misunderstanding of how the intelligence community functions, the people said. National security officials are typically cautious about sharing their most delicate information, like source identities, even with other agencies inside the executive branch.

[OCS: Nothing to see here folks, move along. Just a bureaucratic issue. If this is true, why did Obama officials in the closing days of their Administration change the rules so that  raw surveillance data could be shared with all 16 of the United States government's intelligence groups without the customary privacy protections and “need to know” requirements prior to distribution?]

Mr. Durham’s questioning is certain to add to accusations that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies, like Mr. Brennan, who has been an outspoken critic of the president. Mr. Barr, who is overseeing the investigation, has come under attack in recent days over senior Justice Department officials’ intervention to lighten a prison sentencing recommendation by lower-level prosecutors for Mr. Trump’s longtime friend Roger J. Stone Jr.

[OCS: Again Democrat projection – accusing the Trump Administration of the very conduct that the Obama Administration is clearly guilty of. Notice, the New York Times is loath to mention “getting to the bottom” of what appears to be unconstitutional behavior and criminal activities on behalf of the American public?]

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Thursday evening, Mr. Brennan was asked to respond to this article. He both dismissed Mr. Durham’s apparent line of inquiry and portrayed it as dangerous.

“It’s kind of silly,” Mr. Brennan said. “Is there a criminal investigation now on analytic judgments and the activities of C.I.A. in terms of trying to protect our national security? I’m certainly willing to talk to Mr. Durham or anybody else who has any questions about what we did during this period of 2016.”

But, Mr. Brennan added, “It clearly, I think, is another indication that Donald Trump is using the Department of Justice to go after his enemies any way he can.”

[OCS: What can you expect from an obviously biased media source and a man serving as their paid commentator -- and who is in danger of criminal prosecution for lying to Congress among other activities? Yes, the line of inquiry is dangerous – to Brennan.]

Officials also differed over access to unclassified emails of American officials that the Russian government had previously hacked, including at the White House and State Department.

A foreign ally’s intelligence service had obtained its own copy of the stolen messages and provided drives with another reproduction of them to the United States government. Investigators, including at the F.B.I., wanted to look at those files. They argued that the Russian hackers’ chosen focus while the Kremlin’s election interference operation was gearing up might shed light on that operation.

But an index of the messages compiled by the unnamed foreign ally showed that they included emails from President Barack Obama as well as members of Congress. Mr. Obama’s White House counsel, W. Neil Eggleston, decided that investigators should not open the drives, citing executive privilege and the possibility of a separation-of-powers uproar if the F.B.I. sifted through lawmakers’ private messages.

[OCS: This is the money shot!

First, it is known that Hillary Clinton used her non-secure private email server to communicate with then-President Barack Obama whose White House security handlers needed to white-list on Obama’s Blackberry so that he would receive messages from Secretary of State’s “alternative” non-governmental e-mail address.

Second, it is likely that the Russians, and others, hacked her emails and thus Hillary Clinton clearly and deliberately compromised national security when she used her server to conduct state business. Which puts the lie to her exoneration for violating the Espionage Act.

Third, it is ironic that those who denied claims of executive privilege and separation of powers demanded such protections for themselves. The fact that classified data or metadata has been produced by a foreign source should preclude any claims of privilege since the data is already known to our enemies and other foreign sources.

And fourth, and most worrisome of all, is that these messages are likely to raise questions for President Obama as to what he knows and when did he know it.]

Mr. Trump has targeted all three former top officials as he has sought to foster a narrative that it was illegitimate for government investigators to scrutinize links between his campaign, Russia and WikiLeaks and that he was the victim of a “deep state” conspiracy to sabotage him for political reasons — a push that led to the Durham inquiry.

[OCS: Notice the prejudicial conclusion and the use of Mister instead of President. This is pretty much the position of the New York Times and their gaggle of intellectually bankrupt group of so-called journalists.]

Bottom line…

It is important for the progressive socialist democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream media to get ahead of the story. To fill the audience with confusing, conflicting, and questioning narratives, so it will appear to be “old news” and thus unimportant during the weeks before the election. This is the Democrats trying to influence the next election and keep their sorry asses out of prison.

We are so screwed.

SO SAD! PRESIDENT HILLARY CLINTON MOURNS SUDDEN DEATH OF PRESIDENT BLOOMBERG

jeffrey_bloomberg

I can’t even begin to process the news that Michael Bloomberg would consider Hillary Clinton for a running mate in the 2020 election except for the fact that both have extensive business dealings with China and are likely to pursue those relationships to the detriment of the United States of America.

Their campaign slogan is likely to be “We don’t need no stinking Constitution!”

Bottom line…

The treasonous twins would pose a clear and present danger to America, but not so much the danger that Hillary Clinton may pose to the health of Jeffrey Michael Bloomberg.

How desperate is the Democrat Party?

We are so screwed.

A VALENTINE’S DAY GIFT FOR ANDREW McCABE OR A POISONOUS PLANT?

I have received several emails from my readers pointing out that Trump’s Department of Justice under Attorney General William Barr has declined to pursue criminal charges against former FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe for “less than truthful” answers to federal investigators about leaking confidential information to the media.

On its face, and considering the past media coverage, this looks like “justice denied” for a swamp rat who appears to be part of the cabal who attempted to interfere with the 2016 election and then oust President Trump in a silent palace coup d'état after the election. However, we know little other than from the letter sent by the DOJ to McCabe’s attorney declining to proceed further.

mccabe

But, let us consider the decision matrix…

mccabe-decision-matrix

Could there have been accidental on intentional prosecutorial misconduct?

Some, myself included, may find it highly coincidental that the decision of the Department of Justice to seemingly abandon the further prosecution of Andrew McCabe came on the deadline day that the judge overseeing the case, Bush appointee Reggie Walton, ordered the release of DOJ documents under a Freedom of Information Act request and lawsuit brought by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

It appears that the prosecutors were unsure how to proceed in the case, and the Judge was looking at potential political pressure, namely from President Trump’s continuing tweets about the McCabe matter and proclaiming him guilty before the trial.

Another possibility?

Since the McCabe matter was handled by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, there is the remote possibility of the McCabe decision being “payback” for the pending brouhaha involving the sentencing memo and resignation of four prosecutors associated with the prosecution of Trump ally Roger Stone. Made more suspect considering new revelations about the possible misconduct of the jury’s foreperson, Tomeka Hart, and the actions of the Judge assigned to the case.

So what do we really know?

Nothing – and neither does the media. If the decision were based on the recommendation of FBI Director Christopher Wray, who appears to be feckless and ineffective, I would most certainly question the decision. However, if Attorney General William Barr reviewed the decision, I would have second thoughts before coming to any conclusion.

There is also the matter of McCabe’s firing and pension – and whether or not this action gives him the ability to bring a case for wrongful termination and an opportunity to regain his lost pension.

It also appears that Attorney General Barr has appointed several outside prosecutors to review critical prosecutorial decisions and behavior regarding some high-profile matters.

More and more are we seeing prosecutorial misconduct perpetrated by those associated with the Obama Administration, and particularly, with the Clintons. A tangled web that may never be fully sorted out or those miscreants brought to justice for their actions dealing with foreign governments, notably China, Russia, and Ukraine, or involving soliciting or extorting bribes involving the Clinton Foundation.

Bottom line…

I believe that a confluence of events (#5 No successful prosecution likely.) made it easier for the government to dismiss the case than proceed. However, this does not inoculate McCabe from being prosecuted on these or other charges in the future.

It is a bitch when you cannot trust your government and find that everything appears to be a political calculation that sees top officials escaping responsibility for their egregious and often criminal acts. At the same time, other lesser citizens – especially those associated with the opposition party – are nailed to the wall as an example of what can happen if you are out of favor with the powers that be.

We are so screwed.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW AUTHENTIC MIKE BLOOMBERG MIGHT BE?

After watching a television news program, I am feeling somewhat cynical...

There are times when I wonder how much in politics in true beyond the snapshots and soundbites?

goodtimes

And there is little difference between business and politics.

Has anyone ever told the Bernie Bro's that there is always free cheese to be found in mousetraps? Or that shortages will always be divided equally among the powerless people? The wealthy, powerful, and politically-connected will always come out on top.

There is nothing so simple in politics that it cannot be made difficult enough to require a large staff.

In politics, nothing is too much trouble when somebody else does it, but you get the credit for funding it or publicizing it. Ask Al Gore about inventing the internet.

For every human problem, there is a socialist solution requiring larger government, higher taxes, fewer freedoms, and a fifty-year time-frame.

The nice thing about politics, at least for politicians, is you never run out of things that are wrong, need improvement or fixing. And, you need not do either, only talk about finding and funding a solution.

At NBC, you can fool all of the liberals all of the time -- when you control the network. So says CEO Jeff MotherZucker.

Bottom line...

The best tip in listening to a politician ... never believe anything before the first "but" in a sentence.

We are so screwed.
