Once again we are reminded that we live in a dangerous world and that law enforcement officers cannot be everywhere they are needed, when they are needed, and in time to deal with an event that will last seconds or perhaps minutes…

You might want to remember that the first duty of law enforcement is to follow the orders of their superiors, maintain the general order, and protect those politicians and staffers who constitute civil authority. And, if they have any time left, deal with individual problems involving citizens. Even though the government wants to disarm law-abiding citizens, you cannot sue the government for failing to protect you. In essence, they are creating a bigger victim pool and simultaneously empowering criminals, crazies, and terrorists who do not respect nor abide by any law.

Be aware…

National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin

Date Issued: Saturday, January 4, 2020

The United States designated Iran a “State Sponsor of Terrorism” in 1984 and since then, Iran has actively engaged in or directed an array of violent and deadly acts against the United States and its citizens globally.  The United States designated Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a Foreign Terrorist Organization on April 15, 2019 for its direct involvement in terrorist plotting.

Issued:  January 04, 2020 05:15 pm
Expires:  January 18, 2020 01:00 pm

  • On January 2, 2020, the United States carried out a lethal strike in Iraq killing Iranian IRGC-Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani while Soleimani was in Iraq.
  • Iranian leadership and several affiliated violent extremist organizations publicly stated they intend to retaliate against the United States.
  • At this time we have no information indicating a specific, credible threat to the Homeland. Iran and its partners, such as Hizballah, have demonstrated the intent and capability to conduct operations in the United States.
  • Previous homeland-based plots have included, among other things, scouting and planning against infrastructure targets and cyber enabled attacks against a range of U.S.-based targets.
  • Iran maintains a robust cyber program and can execute cyber attacks against the United States. Iran is capable, at a minimum, of carrying out attacks with temporary disruptive effects against critical infrastructure in the United States.
  • Iran likely views terrorist activities as an option to deter or retaliate against its perceived adversaries. In many instances, Iran has targeted United States interests through its partners such as Hizballah.
  • Homegrown Violent Extremists could capitalize on the heightened tensions to launch individual attacks.
  • An attack in the homeland may come with little or no warning.
  • The Department of Homeland Security is working closely with our federal, state, local, and private sector partners to detect and defend against threats to the Homeland, and will enhance security measures as necessary.

How You Can Help

Be Prepared

  • Be prepared for cyber disruptions, suspicious emails, and network delays.

[OCS: The most dangerous emails are likely to come from your colleagues or friends or spoofers using your colleagues or friend’s mailing list. Learn about “sandboxing” techniques. Consider using virtual systems for high-value computers to isolate critical programs and data.]

  • Be responsible for your personal safety. Know where emergency exits and security personnel are located. Carry emergency contact and special needs information with you.

[OCS: It is better to be armed and not need a weapon than need a weapon and not be armed. Alternatively, would you rather be judged by a jury of 12 individuals or carried to your grave by 6 individuals? Shun progressive socialist democrats who are creating larger and larger victim pools as they turn a blind eye to gang violence in the inner cities that are governed by progressive socialist democrats.]

  • Implement basic cyber hygiene practices such as effecting data backups and employing multi-factor authentication. For more information visit CISA.gov.

[OCS: Most evildoers will not strike immediately, but use a date in the future which allows you time to infect all of your backups. Think about using a “sandboxed” computer with a future date to restore and validate your backups. Just connecting a device to an infected computer is enough to compromise its security. Be careful when you plug your USB cable in a public setting lest you find you are doing more than charging your device.]

Stay Informed

  • The U.S. Government will provide additional information about any emerging threat as additional information is identified. The public is encouraged to listen to local law enforcement and public safety officials.

[OCS: Maintain situational awareness – politicians and others have their own agendas and may not provide sufficient warning because it may make them look bad. Think I am joking, consider the politicians that ordered the police to “stand down” in various street riots or did not issue a widespread news advisories.

Not everyone with an agenda is kind and benevolent, some even want to create chaos and mayhem to further their own causes. How many politicians have you seen that will openly condemn the violence of ANTIFA?]

  • We urge Americans to continue to travel, attend public events, and freely associate with others but remain vigilant and aware of surroundings.

[OCS: Situational awareness is the keystone to personal safety.]

If You See Something, Say Something. Report suspicious activity to local law enforcement or call 911.

[OCS: Many times individuals are embarrassed to call in to report suspicious people or packages. Even worse, many law enforcement individuals automatically discount any report coming from a “civilian.”

If you must report something, do not hem-and-haw. Say, “I believe there is a suspicious package (with wires, liquid, etc.) located at …” and then get the hell out of Dodge. Do not wait near the package for the authorities to arrive or try to engage a suspicious individual.  If the person is wearing a full-length heavy coat and may be sweating – take off in the opposite direction. Do not allow them to approach. Be careful how you notify others in the vicinity, a panic can cause just as much harm as a real threat.

Remember: disbelief “It can’t really be happening, can it?” and delay can get you killed – take action If you draw a weapon, be prepared to kill – firing one shot and then standing there watching for a reaction can get you killed..]

Bottom line…

Politicians have their guards, guarded gates, security systems – and all you have is their best wishes, unless you support and vote for President Donald Trump.

We are so screwed.
