ERIC SWALWELL HOW STUPID OR CORRUPT CAN A PROGRESSIVE BE?
How is it possible to be a 38-year-old grandstanding punk politician and a lawyer and not know the basics of your political profession?
It is bad enough to announce your candidacy as a Democrat nominee for the President of the United States and forced to drop out due to lack of public name recognition and interest on July 8, 2019, but to turn into a media whore spewing demonstrably false nonsense is unconscionable.
Here are the basic facts about an ambassadorship …
THE FACTS THAT SHOULD BE KNOWN OR AVAILABLE TO EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS… |
Ambassadors serve "at the pleasure of the President", meaning they can be dismissed at any time. Appointments change regularly for various reasons, such as reassignment or retirement. An ambassador may be a career Foreign Service Officer (career diplomat – CD) or a political appointee (PA). In most cases, career foreign service officers serve a tour of approximately three years per ambassadorship whereas political appointees customarily tender their resignations upon the inauguration of a new president. As embassies fall under the State Department's jurisdiction, ambassadors answer directly to the Secretary of State. |
The “carrot and stick” approach to foreign diplomacy, known as “quid pro quo,” is a normal and customary occurrence in the conduct of foreign affairs and has deep roots in the conduct of United States foreign and domestic policy. However, when such an approach is meant to benefit an individual, it may be construed as bribery or exerting unlawful influence.
Even worse, is that this fool sits on the Democrat majority House Intelligence Committee, chaired by the lying reprobate Adam Schiff (D-CA), who sets the tone and standards for this star-chamber attempt to impeach a President prior to the 2020 presidential election because the Democrats do not have a suitable candidate for the position.
Here is Representative Swalwell (D-CA) claiming that “It’s an abuse of power to remove an ambassador for political reasons because you don’t like what they’re doing. Period.”

“It’s an abuse of power to remove an ambassador for political reasons because you don’t like what they’re doing. Period.”
“It’s a gross abuse of power if you ask a political ally like the Ukrainians to investigate your opponent. It’s a gross, extreme abuse of power if you leverage a White House meeting. … It’s an extraordinary abuse of power if you remove an ambassador the way the president did, ask for investigations, leverage a White House meeting and $300 million in taxpayer dollars.”

Swalwell’s statements are in reference to the Obama-appointed Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, who was recalled and removed from office by President Trump. Not only had she lost the confidence of the President of the United States , it is suspected that she may have been complicit in various corrupt actions such as aiding Ukraine in interfering with the 2016 Presidential election and aiding and abetting the private business activities of Hunter Biden and his father, then-Vice President of the United States and charged by President Obama to conduct U.S. diplomacy in Ukraine.
Want corruption?
I wonder what Representative Swalwell has to say about the so-called “Whistleblower,” a current government employee with a security clearance who is attempting to enrich himself by using a GoFundMe page to solicit what are “gifts” to a current intelligence official and a potential violation of 5 CFR 2635.203 and other government statutes. The fact that this money is being paid to his lawyers to his benefit is a major issue. Not to mention potential violations of the Espionage Act in the solicitation and mishandling of classified information. Plus perjury for lying or omitting the previous contact with Schiff’s Committee before filing a complaint with the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community. As for Schiff, possible charges of witness tampering and subornation of perjury – enough to get Schiff disbarred and held responsible for his actions.
Bottom line…
You need to go no farther than Schiff’s and Swalwell’s pronouncements to see that the Democrat’s attempt to impeach the President of the United States is as empty and corrupt as their politicians and policies.
We are so screwed.
