While the current political process remains somewhat intact, political power will always flow along the lines of least resistance; giving rise to a Democrat voting scheme, so simple and accessible by all, that it will remove any effort whatsoever of a citizen's duty to study and understand the candidates and their policy positions. Turning politics into a game of Russian roulette.

The idea that the ability to vote should be extended to felons, including terrorists, rapists, murderers, drug dealers or 16-year-old individuals is so radical as to be almost unbelievable. Yet that is what some progressive socialist democrats are proposing. All while attempting to nullify the Second Amendment and disarm law-abiding citizens and stripping of their inalienable right to self-defense against those who will be released into our communities.

For the average voter, this path of least resistance is to support the candidate who looks good, sounds good, and seems to have the approval of one's friends -- who many will mistakenly believe they have already studied and understood both the politicians and the issues. Giving rise to a voting class that is easily manipulated by the media -- both news and entertainment -- to the point you are engaging in a reality program version of "Crazy Candidate Take All." With most politicians arising from positions of previous authority or who possess some level of name recognition and celebrity, the voter must be wary of carefully crafted personas that are neither real nor as accomplished as their media consultants would have you believe.

So what would happen if there are no appropriate candidates nor public policies that promote freedom, liberty, and individualism? Where the only difference between capitalism and socialism is not ideological, but whether or not the voter likes a particular candidate whose acting abilities include being able to feign concern, sincerity, and a suggestion that they may have a superhero's ability to "do good for the people."

You wind up with progressive socialist democrats in charge, no matter their party affiliation.

What is wrong with most individuals, acting as if for them a collapsing constitutional nation and the loss of their freedoms isn't something to be gravely concerned about?

Conditioning by the mainstream media, perhaps using the distractions of entertainment and social media and various other coping mechanisms to maintain the pretense of normalcy. Or being indoctrinated to avoid asking questions and focus on activist actions? Or simply a weary resignation and acceptance of their environment,

But this election may be radically different.

Stepping out of the present political nightmare and regaining the illusion of normalcy had never been this difficult.

We are so screwed.
