There is no doubt that the sovereignty of the United States continues to be violated by illegal aliens, whose sheer numbers now constitute a clear and present danger against our military, our economy, our healthcare and educational systems in addition to changing the nature of foreign political representation and the culture of many communities.

There is no doubt that President Trump is trying to uphold the oath of his office to preserve and protect our Constitution and to faithfully execute the laws of the land, laws which the progressive socialist democrats willfully violate with impunity day-after-day with their sanctuary cities and handouts to non-citizens.

And, there is no doubt that the progressive socialist democrats, led in the House by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and in the Senate by here leashed puppy dog Chuck Schumer, refuse to protect America, refuse to adhere to the rule of law, and are willing to screw-over American workers to deny President Trump $5.7 billion which is a rounding error in the Congress’ profligate spending on useless projects and the inherent governmental waste, fraud, and abuse. With money going to the politicians, their families, their friends, the special interests who fund them, and to purchase votes with entitlements.

What Pelosi has to say about the government shutdown…

Pelosi Floor Remarks Urging President Trump and Republican Leaders to Re-Open Government
Washington, D.C. -- January 25, 2019

Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks on the Floor of the House of Representatives to urge President Trump and Republican leaders to re-open government. Below are the Speaker’s remarks:

Speaker Pelosi.  Thank you, Madam Chair – Madam Speaker – thank you Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, I rise following our eleventh vote earlier today to re-open government and end the senseless chaos and the pain of this shutdown. Why won’t the Republicans take yes for an answer? Why won’t they provide relief for the hard-working Americans suffering in their own communities?

This shutdown is not a glitch. It is a crisis that the President alone created and that the President alone can end.

The Republicans in the Congress have been accomplices to the President’s irresponsibility and just ignoring the consequences of his actions. Either he doesn’t know or he doesn’t care, but nonetheless, the Trump Shutdown goes on.

Once again, we call on the President and the Republicans in Congress, especially in the United States Senate where they’re holding this up, to re-open government now for the sake of the health, the safety and the well-being of the American people.

The motion to recommit provides one final opportunity for the House to debate and amend a measure, typically after the engrossment and third reading of the bill, before the Speaker orders the vote on final passage.

The motion is the prerogative of the Minority party and in many cases constitutes the Minority’s one opportunity to obtain a vote on an alternative or a proposal to improve the measure.

In the case of a bill or a joint resolution, the Rules of the House prohibit the Rules Committee from reporting a special rule that denies a motion to recommit with instructions.

Bottom line…

With the progressive socialist democrats, it is not about America, the Constitution, or the American citizen – it is all about raw power that can be perpetuated through their authoritarian regime. My only regret is that the GOP lacks the cojones to stand up for America lest they lose their cushy positions, prestige, power, and perks. These are the weasels who would have voted to stay with the British as they condemned our Founding Fathers.

No matter how this issue is resolved, we really do know how many government functions are superfluous and can be eliminated at will.

We are so screwed.
