IS TRUMP BEING PLAYED BY THE MONEY MEN WHO SUPPORT SOCIALISTS AND COMMUNISTS?
The other day I wrote a post suggesting that Donald J. Trump was a potential “helicopter president,” dropping in to receive the accolades and bask in the glory of his office while he outsourced both domestic and foreign policy to others. In spite of claiming that he has access to the “best” people, might it also be likely that Trump may have already ceded power to men who are not only elite establishment globalists, but may be intimately involved with everything that goes against the grain of constitutional conservatism; including the safety and security of the United States.
Already we can see the cracks developing with Trump’s reliance on the RNC for operational support and fundraising as his “lightweight” operation was inadequate for a national campaign. Trump had little or no choice but to accept the assistance of the elite globalist establishment progressives – even if they actually supported progressives. But, again, that is of little concern to The Donald as he was a progressive a short 24 months or so ago. So who are these heavy hitters and are they likely to consider Trump another useful idiot – in spite of his claimed wealth, business expertise, and overall knowledge of world affairs as seen through the prism of a golf course.
We know that Trump’s national finance chairman was a long-time Goldman Sachs executive with a long-time partnership with progressive globalist George Soros -- and a major contributor to progressive socialist democrats …
Trump Taps Clinton, Obama Donor as National Finance Chair
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign announced Thursday that Steven Mnuchin, a former partner at Goldman Sachs who has donated to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, will serve as his national finance chairman.
Mnuchin has also worked as an investment professional for Soros Fund Management LLC, a hedge fund management firm run by George Soros, a billionaire Democratic donor who has sent millions to pro-Hillary Clinton PACs this election cycle. We also note that Mnuchin heavily donated to New York Senator Chuck Schumer whose letters to the regulatory agencies – and leaked to the media – was instrumental in destroying Indy Mac Bank in Pasadena, California. The assets of which were conveniently acquired by Mnuchin and pals to become the foundation of OneWest Bank. At the time, nobody could understand why Schumer was hell-bent to attack Indy Mac – and now it appears that it might have been as a favor to his political patrons.
From IndyMac to OneWest: Steven Mnuchin's Big Score
In the fall of 2008 very few institutions or individuals were looking to go long on mortgages and mortgage-backed debt. Mnuchin was one. He soon persuaded others, including John Paulson, George Soros, and Chris Flowers. Together they purchased IndyMac, whose primary assets were $23.5 billion in commercial loans, mortgages, and mortgage-backed securities. How risky was the investment? When the FDIC was looking to sell IndyMac, Mnuchin was the only bidder for all of the bank’s assets. He’s since turned OneWest into Southern California’s largest bank, with more than 79 branches and $27 billion in assets. Source: From IndyMac to OneWest: Steven Mnuchin's Big Score
Now comes Trump’s campaign and convention advisor, lobbyist Paul Manafort …
Trump campaign guts GOP’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine
The Trump campaign worked behind the scenes last week to make sure the new Republican platform won’t call for giving weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian and rebel forces, contradicting the view of almost all Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington.
Throughout the campaign, Trump has been dismissive of calls for supporting the Ukraine government as it fights an ongoing Russian-led intervention. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, worked as a lobbyist for the Russian-backed former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych for more than a decade.
Still, Republican delegates at last week’s national security committee platform meeting in Cleveland were surprised when the Trump campaign orchestrated a set of events to make sure that the GOP would not pledge to give Ukraine the weapons it has been asking for from the United States. Exclusive: Suspected Russian hack of DNC widens — includes personal email of staffer researching Manafort
Just weeks after she started preparing opposition research files on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort last spring, Democratic National Committee consultant Alexandra Chalupa got an alarming message when she logged into her personal Yahoo email account. “Important action required,” read a pop-up box from a Yahoo security team that is informally known as “the Paranoids.” “We strongly suspect that your account has been the target of state-sponsored actors.”
Chalupa — who had been drafting memos and writing emails about Manafort’s connection to pro-Russian political leaders in Ukraine — quickly alerted top DNC officials. “Since I started digging into Manafort, these messages have been a daily occurrence on my Yahoo account despite changing my password often,” she wrote in a May 3 email to Luis Miranda, the DNC’s communications director, which included an attached screengrab of the image of the Yahoo security warning.
“I was freaked out,” Chalupa, who serves as director of “ethnic engagement” for the DNC, told Yahoo News in an interview, noting that she had been in close touch with sources in Kiev, Ukraine, including a number of investigative journalists, who had been providing her with information about Manafort’s political and business dealings in that country and Russia. Trump’s campaign chief is questioned about ties to Russian billionaire
A lawyer for Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s chief campaign aide, acknowledged Tuesday evening that the longtime GOP operative has been questioned by officials from the Cayman Islands in connection with a $26.2 million investment by a billionaire Russian oligarch who was his partner in an ill-fated telecommunications development in Ukraine. The lawyer’s comments came in response to an earlier story by Yahoo News about the Cayman officials’ efforts to track down Manafort for his testimony. Bottom line …
My fear is that Donald Trump will outsource the running of the United States government to people who will make Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation look like a charitable organization. Already we can see the beginnings of major conflicts of interests that may get out of hand as the billionaire bully boy’s ego blinds him to the actions of those who may not wish America well or are out to plunder the American treasury.
We are so screwed.
