REMINDER: TED CRUZ MAY BE A CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE, BUT HE IS STILL A POLITICIAN ...

tc (3)

There is no doubt in my mind that constitutional conservative Ted Cruz would be the best choice to become the next President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief. Just as there is no doubt in my mind that when all is said and done, Ted Cruz is a politician who is running a “traditional” political campaign, using the same fundraisers, mailing lists, and copywriters used by other candidates.

Therefore, I have no problem with looking at this Cruz email and calling BS …  [my comments are in bracketed blue italics]

Ted Cruz Personal Email -- May Include Privileged Communication

[There is nothing personal nor privileged in this email.]

Dear Friend, this is UNREAL.

"Once in a lifetime," is not a strong enough phrase to describe the importance of this moment and the amount of pressure our campaign is under right now.
AND I don't have anywhere else to turn -- so I'm turning to you.

I need to ask you for a personal favor -- even though it may come at great personal expense.

With only hours before tonight's MIDNIGHT FEC deadline -- and just a few days before the Wisconsin primary (perhaps the most important primary before the RNC nominating convention) -- I need your help now more than ever.

I'm going to do my part -- to take on Donald Trump -- and show all of America that I'm the one candidate who will defeat Donald Trump, who will defeat Hillary Clinton in November, and who will reverse the years of destruction from Obama -- restoring our country to its founding, conservative principles.

But I really need you to do your part too...

You see: my campaign faces its biggest challenge in only a few hours, and I know we can win if I have the resources.

But as of this morning, I am $189,326 short of what I need for my FEC deadline.

[The FEC is the Federal Election Commission and their deadline is the date and time by which a campaign must file their campaign expenditure notices. It has nothing to do with the amount of money reported, nor is their any minimum filing amount that could be calculated in such a manner as to a specific amount like $189,326. This is simply a ruse to impart urgency into what is a routine request for campaign funds.]

Will you do your part right now -- before tonight's deadline -- by making a $35, $50, or $100 special gift?

I hope you know me well enough by now to know that I wouldn't ask if it weren't vitally important and that I wouldn't ask you this favor if I wasn't willing to make the same deep sacrifices myself.

Please let me briefly explain because I'm running out of time.

Running for President of the United States has come at a steep price with relentless attacks coming from all sides on my family, my marriage, and worst of all, attacks against my young children.

It is only by the grace of God, the prayers of my friends and family -- my dad is a prayer warrior -- and the continued support of people just like you have I been able to endure such deep personal sacrifices.

[Prayer Warrior? I wasn’t aware that God took sides in primaries, let alone other matters on this mortal plane. If there was such a thing, one wonders why the Pope, Chief Rabbi, the Dali Lama, and others have such a poor record when it comes to human misery, war, pestilence, poverty, and the dictators who are responsible for the deaths of millions?]

Friend, this battle I fight daily is a responsibility not to be taken lightly.

But, if I'm being honest, I must share something with you...

Every single time we have a victory for the campaign or that we see a bump in the polls -- the negative attacks double and triple against us.

Between Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, the liberal media, and the Washington Cartel, there is not one moment where they are not savagely attacking me. And Friend, by extension of our shared conservative values, they're attacking YOU too.

Rest assured -- no matter how hard they try to drag my name through the mud, I will not give in to them.

But now, I really need you to make your own personal sacrifice for this campaign -- click here to make a special sacrificial donation of $35, $50, or even $10 if you can afford it.

[Sacrificial? One makes donations out of self-interest. To preserve our country, to save our jobs, to rein-in excessive government. They are not sacrifices to a political ‘idol,’ they are an investment in our nation’s future and in our personal wellbeing.]

You see: the sacrifices I'm making for our campaign are deep and personal. I'm proud and even honored to be making them on your behalf, but today, before the most important deadline that we face at MIDNIGHT, I need to hear back from you personally.

[You chose this path of professional political service, and what you are experiencing is not so much a ‘sacrifice’ but the price you have chosen to pay to play the game.]

To make it as quick and easy as possible for you to respond, I've asked my team to put together the secure links below.

You can use them to make an instant, secure gift to support me when I need it most:

cruz-d

[I have no problem with anyone who wants to donate to help further Cruz’s candidacy, primarily because he is a principled, constitutional conservative. Not because I am being manipulated into giving. This is a “paid” political e-mail sent by PoliticalOutcast – who certainly did not pray on the issue nor contribute their list and resources to the campaign gratis.]

Please, time is critical.

Friend, I hope to hear back from you before tonight's deadline passes.

tc-ftr

Truth-be-told, this email was received from a Gmail account on Thursday, March 31, 2016  at 3:36 PM. Unfortunately, the FEC deadline for the February 1-29, 2016 reporting period was March 20, 2019 and the March 1-31, 2016 deadline is April 20, 2016. And, the April Quarterly for Jan1-Mar 31 is on April 15, 2016. So the premise that there is some pending FEC deadline is just BS. <Source: FEC Filing Deadlines>

Business as usual: this is not the first time that the Cruz campaign used standard direct response tricks to grab your attention …

Report: Ted Cruz Mailer Claims 'Check Enclosed,' Then Asks For Donation

Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-TX) campaign has sent out a mailer that says on the envelope that there is a "check enclosed," but the document inside asks for a donation with a fake check made out to the Cruz campaign, the Huffington Post reported on Sunday.

The return address on the envelope says it came from "U.S. Senator Ted Cruz" in a font that looks official. Below his name on the envelope in smaller text, the envelope reads, "Personal business" and "Not printed or mailed at taxpayer expense."

The mailer includes a fake check made out to "Cruz for President," and a letter says that a "group of generous supporters" will match any contribution made to the campaign.

"Your contribution of $45 to 'Cruz for President' — as long as you respond quickly — will be immediately matched for double the impact …" the letter reads. "… resulting in a $90 contribution to support my campaign for President of the United States." <Source>

Iowa's secretary of state rips Cruz over campaign mailer

Iowa's secretary of state on Saturday blasted Ted Cruz's campaign over a controversial mailer that aims to drive voters to the polls for Monday's caucuses by claiming they have committed "violations."

The mailer gave the recipient, along with their neighbors, poor grades based on their individual voting history. On one side, the mailer reads: "ELECTION ALERT: VOTER VIOLATION," "PUBLIC RECORD" and "FURTHER ACTION NEEDED."

The other side of the mailer says "VOTING VIOLATION" in red letters at the top before text that reads:

"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses." <Source>

Bottom line …

Both political parties and almost all candidates use the same direct response tactics to support their positions and fundraise. It is not that this is any big deal, but it does serve as a reminder that Ted Cruz, like his opponents, is a politician running a standard political campaign.

Still, measured against the dire straights facing America, Ted Cruz remains the best qualified political candidate since Ronal Reagan.

HILLARY’S HENCHMEN USE THE LAW TO HARASS BERNIE SANDERS AND THE GOP ...

It is apparently not enough that the 2016 presidential campaign sees the democrats openly supporting a communist and a corrupt Marxist for their party’s nominees, but now the party of the lawyers is engaging in legal harassment over the minutia of campaign law.

What is the high-sounding “American Democracy Legal Fund” and who is running the show?

According to the group’s website: “The American Democracy Legal Fund is a group established to hold candidates for office accountable for possible ethics and/or legal violations.” <Source> The site appears to be a blog filled with nothing but notices of legal filings. No real information about who or what is behind the organization. It’s domain ownership is hidden from public view.

Behind the Clinton campaign: Dark money allies

The American Democracy Legal Fund is a 527 organization set up in September 2014 to, according to its website bio, “hold candidates for office accountable for possible ethics and/or legal violations.” The group files legal complaints against Republican candidates for violating election law: For example, they filed a complaint with the FEC in October over Jeb Bush’s super PAC, Right To Rise, claiming “illegal coordination” between the campaign and the super PAC.

The group has only received two contributions: $50,000 from American Bridge, and $25,000 from the National Education Association. It’s worth noting that while they’re alleging illegal coordination between GOP campaigns and super PACs, the group is chaired by Brad Woodhouse, president of Correct the Record, which is (supposedly legally) coordinating with the Clinton campaign.

Woodhouse is the former Democratic National Committee's communications director. And as such is a real piece of work …

In an October 9, 2009 public statement, RNC Chairman Michael Steele issued a public statement which rhetorically asked what Obama achievement the Nobel Prize recognized.

Woodhouse, as Communications Director of the Democratic National Committee, responded:

"The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists - the Taliban and Hamas this morning - in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize -- an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride — unless of course you are the Republican Party. The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It’s no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it’s an embarrassing label to claim."  <Source>

Going after Bernie Sanders on a legal technicality, as if being a communist is not enough …

DONALD TRUMP: NOT A LEADER, A SNIVELING POMPOUS LIAR ...

If Trump snivels about being treated “unfairly” by the Republican National Committee, is this the type of leader we want – someone who can stand up to Hillary Clinton or Vladimir Putin, both of whom are “take no prisoners tough” …

dtsc

Responding to a question about supporting other GOP nominees …

Excerpt from CNN Milwaukee Republican Presidential Town Hall

COOPER: Do you continue to pledge whoever the Republican nominee is?

TRUMP: No. I don't anymore.

COOPER: You don't?

TRUMP: No, we'll see who it is.

COOPER: You won't promise to support the Republican nominee?

TRUMP: He was essentially saying the same thing. Let me just tell you, he doesn't have to support me. I have tremendous support right now from the people. I'm way over two million votes more than him. I have many, many, more delegates than him. Like, many, many more delegates. As I said before, he was talking about his great victory the night Utah - well, I won Arizona. Many more delegates. Many, many more delegates.

I don't really want him to do something he's not comfortable with. Just like I can't imagine Jeb Bush - look, I beat these people badly. I beat Jeb Bush. I beat the governor of this state, the governor of this state came in, he was favored to win. He was at 22 points. Then he said something bad about me and I hit him very hard, and he went boom, and he left the race. He was very early...

COOPER: ...Just so I'm clear...

TRUMP: I don't want to make people uncomfortable. I don't need their support. Now, maybe it will be a negative, maybe it won't.

COOPER: So, the pledge you took is null and void. The idea of supporting whoever...

TRUMP: ...  I have defeated...

COOPER: ...  the Republican nominee is, you say you will no longer guarantee you will support the Republican nominee...

TRUMP: ...  I have been treated very unfairly.

Shameful and shameless …

Trump is not able to say he is wrong or apologies for wrongful behavior. No, the sad truth is that Trump would rather lie and demonize a young woman to protect his thuggish campaign manager than say sorry, Lewandowski accidently grabbed her and regrets his actions. How macho is it to push around a woman and then say it never happened – and like Hillary Clinton – lie about telling a lie, and then lying about lying?

Bottom line …

Trump is not a candidate whose core values and temperament is fit for the Presidency of the United States.

We are so screwed.

DONALD TRUMP: THE ART OF ASTROTURF ...

ca

If you have spent any amount of time watching television, listening to talk radio, or even browsing social media, you will find that the one inescapable subject appears to be Donald Trump and his candidacy for the GOP presidential nomination. Even the official GOP-sponsored debates consisted mainly of moderators asking each of the other candidates vying for the nomination to react to something that Donald Trump has said.

About the only thing that appears to be honest about Donald Trump is that he is a wealthy celebrity showman that knows how to manipulate and mold public opinion through the use of a media device known as astroturfing – creating what appears to be a grassroots movement where no such movement really exists. How else can you explain the candidacy of someone with “through the roof” negatives who is so afraid to debate a knowledgeable candidate one-on-one?

Trump's Negative Image

Most political and media commentators have at this point installed Donald Trump as the GOP front-runner on the eve of the first actual voting set to begin on Monday in Iowa. But this narrative tends to obscure the fact that Trump is the most unpopular candidate of either party when the entire U.S. population is taken into account -- and that he has a higher unfavorable rating than any nominated candidate from either of the two major parties going back to the 1992 election when we began to track favorability using the current format.

At this point (two-week average through Jan. 27), 33% of Americans view Trump favorably and 60% unfavorably. It's that 60% unfavorable figure that I can focus on here.

Hillary Clinton currently has a 52% unfavorable rating among all Americans, while Jeb Bush is at 45%, Chris Christie 38%, Ted Cruz 37%, Marco Rubio 33%, Bernie Sanders 31% and Ben Carson 30%. Trump's 60% is clearly well above all of these. Putting his favorable and unfavorable ratings together yields a net favorable of -27 for Trump, far above the -10 for Clinton and for Bush, the next lowest among the major candidates. <Source>

That poll was taken at the beginning of the year and not much has changed. All of The Donald’s wins were aided by a deeply divided GOP field and Trump never once won a majority of the votes; settling for a plurality as the frontrunner. And, most likely as the second place candidate in a reduced field of two. In fact, polling suggests that Trump would lose to Ted Cruz if the other prominent candidates, Marco Rubio and John Kasich, would have fallen by the wayside.

So how does Trump continue on?

There is little or no doubt in my mind that Donald Trump is intellectually, morally, and temperamentally unsuited to become the next President of the United States. That Trump, using easily recognizable astroturfing methods has managed to trick many Americans into believing that he is the one anti-establishment candidate that can resolve many of America’s ills; mostly by talking tough, being a superior negotiator, and sending forth the “very best people” whom he appears to know intimately.

Of course, Donald Trump is not anti-establishment. He is the establishment; having paid off politicians for political favors for years. He is a known quantity to the establishment and is preferred, not by much, over Ted Cruz because he is “malleable” and can be counted on to make a deal with the devil in order to accomplish his goals. There is nothing in Donald Trump’s past that indicates that he would be willing to put our national interests over his own agenda and ego. And, unfortunately, everything to indicate that he would continue being a loud, obnoxious, billionaire bully-boy – this time with the armed services at hi disposal and the idea that he can bend countries to his will by manipulating trade tariffs.

So how does he do it …

Primarily Trump distracts from the facts and his unwillingness to debate by astroturfing. Using the media, especially the social media, to controversialize the uncontroversial and to attack people personally while labeling his opponents as losers, jerks, fools, and so forth.

Consider the picture of his model wife, Melania, who posed for a semi-nude picture aboard Donald Trump’s aircraft for the cover picture on GQ (formerly Gentlemen’s Quarterly) magazine. The stylistic picture was used in a campaign ad by a PAC (Political Action Committee) unconnected to Ted Cruz that was established to help defeat the Trump candidacy.

ta

Trump went on a social media rampage using Twitter. Blaming Ted Cruz and his campaign for the little-seen ad and demanding Cruz intervene with the PAC– full well knowing that it would be a federal crime if Cruz took any action to influence the actions of the PAC. Continuing to refer to Cruz as “Lying Cruz” as he pointed out that his campaign does not have a PAC and is self-funding. His PAC, owned and operated by others, was threatened with one of those famous Trump lawsuits if they continued to use his name and diminish his brand. But, he does take contributions (over $7 million) and has not refused or refunded the money. And, it appears that his campaign was funded by loans – possibly to be paid back by special interests after he wins the election.

But even worse, Trump outrageously and wantonly attacked Cruz’s wife who is not a supermodel. His campaign hinted at revenge and destruction if Cruz did not disavow the Melania ad. And, then talk surfaced of Cruz’s wife’s depression and Cruz’s alleged infidelities which was a smear job by pro-Trump media.

Why? – all to dominate the news cycle and keep the pot boiling. Anything to avoid debating Ted Cruz mano-a-mano where Trump’s lack of knowledge would standout like a lighthouse beacon on a clear night.

All you need to know about Trump is on display …

It appears that Trump’s campaign manager forcefully grabbed a reporter. The campaign manager said it never happened. And, then The Donald started his dirt machine attacking the reporter. The story radically changed to the campaign manager was protecting Trump – even though surrounded by Secret Service agents – when audio and video surfaced. Even now, Trump cannot bring himself to admit he was wrong and apologize on behalf of the campaign. Can you imagine telling a lie, then lying about the lie, and then lying about lying about the lie? That is who Trump appears to be: Hillary Clinton, above the law, above reproach, and above us all. His favorite lines are "people tell me" and "all I did was re-Tweet."

Bottom line …

Truth be told, Donald Trump is an establishment RINO (Republican In Name Only) who has claimed more affinity with the progressive socialist democrats than the republicans, especially conservative republicans. Calling himself a “commonsense conservative” as if that means anything in his twisted political mind.

Look at those who do Trump’s bidding. Campaign manager Cory Lewandowski, National Media Spokesperson Katrina Pierson, Trump attorney Michael Cohen, and confidante Roger Stone -- all have something in common besides not being the “best people,” they all exhibit the same type of nastiness and combativeness as they mirror their employer. Apparently willing to lie with the same type of impunity that is exhibited every day by their boss.

Donald Trump has more in common with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders than he does with a conservative Ted Cruz who not only has fought the establishment and his own leadership, but who is a man of deeply-held core convictions and a wealth of constitutional knowledge.

For years the republicans have claimed to want a principled man in the presidency. A man who put the nation above his self-interest. A man that was virtually incorruptible. And, when given the chance with Ted Cruz, they turned their back and ran away – as if such a man might affect their political power, their profits, and their perks and privileges as he cleaned up the cesspool that is Washington.

We are so screwed. Please consider voting for Ted Cruz. Open your eyes to what Trump is doing. This is not the Political Apprentice. This is real life and it is our lives and future that is at stake.

We tried a person just like Trump in California – Arnold Schwarzenegger (coincidently now the head of the Celebrity Apprentice) – a man too rich to be bought, a liberal disguised as a conservative republican. And we got record taxes, more regulations, and a corrupt, philandering fool as a Governor. A man who unashamedly reduced the sentence of a murderous thug hours before he left office because the thug was the son of a prominent democrat politician. That’s who Trump really is!

What does it say about a man who takes to "Twitter" to bully people?

In the final analysis, this election is not about Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, or John Kasich. It is about our country, our future, and how we will live under our constitution and the rule of law. Whether or not there will be a ruling elite telling us how to live our lives. Telling seniors that they no longer are entitled to certain types of medical care. Telling us that we can't use our cars and that unrestricted freedom is bad. Where special interests buy politicians and "We the People" have no place at the table. Yes, folks, it is about US ... not those who are running. And, from that perspective there is only one choice: Ted Cruz. Unless you believe a life-long abuser of the political system can change his spots and tamp down his massive ego. Only one constitutional conservative comes along in a life time and in the mold of Ronald Reagan. Choose wisely.

THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES: MONETIZING MODERN ART AND MINIMALISM ...

As my faithful readers know, I am not a big fan of modern art, especially geometrics that I can easily reproduce for dollars instead of purchasing for hundreds of thousands …

When there is no there there, pseudointellectuals, a person who pretends an interest in intellectual matters for reasons of status and money, must use fanciful words to weave a story to inject abnormal value into that which is ordinary, pedestrian, and mundane.

I have just come across a Public Broadcasting piece that is a clear example of the type of bafflegab that monetizes minimalism with the type of panache that convinces people to part with their hard-earned dollars; either for status or to be sold to a “bigger fool” in the future.

The Case for Minimalism | The Art Assignment | PBS Digital Studios

You've probably seen a few cubes sitting in an art gallery and questioned why they were there. How could cubes be important? How did we get here? This is the case for Minimalism.

Bottom line …

It’s all about the story. And, if you do not believe that, I have a few great pictures to sell you. My copyrighted self-portraits.

IT IS NOT ABOUT TRUMP, IT IS ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION AND OUR SURVIVAL AS A NATION

We are an exceptional people and made so because of the founding fathers and the framers of our constitution …

Our constitution and the rule of law is the only thing that makes our country exceptional, provides for the advancement of civilization, and keeps the animals who want to destroy our nation and kill us at bay. When correctly implemented, both the Constitution and the rule of law provides a degree of safety, both to the citizens who obey the law and for those who are charged with a crime.

Within our constitution and the rule of law is an exception to the type of routine civility that we expect to find in our nation. An exception that is necessary to keep those who would destroy our nation and kill our citizens at bay. This is the law of war. Unlike our enemies who answer to no laws and have no constraints on their wanton attacks on people and property, we function with a set of formulas that define who were are as a people and the limits to which we can go in our need to protect ourselves.

The law of war is unlike the law demanded and practiced by law enforcement. Whereas, law enforcement protects the general good order and welfare of the population by protecting the administrative infrastructure, it is reactive. That is, law enforcement investigates criminal activities after the fact and with the sole purpose of apprehending those responsible and bringing them before the bar of justice when they will be held accountable for their crimes and punished suitably.  However, the law of war is proactive, killing people and destroying property to prevent a greater evil from descending on our nation and its population. War is brutally savage and ugly. Innocent people are maimed and killed, some dying horrible deaths for actions they did not commit. Collateral damage it is called when a person is in the wrong place and the wrong time and war rains down upon their head.

Our enemies are among us and working against us …

Unfortunately, our enemies have discovered that our constitution and rule of law can be used against us; providing aid and comfort for our enemies while they prepare to strike us both here and abroad. Facilitated by “useful idiots,’ so named by Russia’s Joseph Stalin because these people do not perceive their furtherance of evil and condemning innocent and worthy people to injury or death.

It has been said many times before, there is nothing in our constitution that turns it into a suicide pact. There is nothing standing between good and evil but men, not simply of good intentions, but men with the willingness to name the enemy, confront the enemy on their own lands, and to eradicate the enemy from the face of this Earth.

But, they are prevented from taking unilateral action by enemy agents and their useful idiots in positions of power. These people manipulate the media to paint a false Orwellian narrative that is meant to convince “We the People” that evil is good and good is evil. It is can be suitably demonstrated by looking at terrorism around the world and hearing our President, Barack Obama, declare Islam is the religion of peace and the terrorists are not practicing Islam. To the contrary, the terrorists represent the purest form of unadulterated Islam as defined in the Quran – demanding that there is only one belief and those who are unbelievers be given a choice: conversion, servitude, or death. Again, observing the world around us, we find that even Islam is harsher on those of the faith that do not believe as they do, the apostates, and should be singled out for torture and death even before the unbelievers.

The existential threat the cannot be denied …

We are facing an existential threat that goes beyond all history and represents death and destruction on a biblical scale. That is, we face a nuclear holocaust, or a biological threat that may mutate into an unstoppable plague. Measured against these two catastrophic weapons, we find that chemical weapons are almost acceptable. Again, some of our leaders deny the observable truth. Whether they do this for personal ego, gain, or a legacy, is immaterial.

You cannot make a deal with the devil …

We have heard much about the need to negotiate, to seek accommodation, to build a consensus, and to accept compromise. But how do you compromise or even communicate with a fanatical enemy that will say or do anything to build weapons of mass destruction and then unleash them on an unprepared and unprotected populace? How do you allow law enforcement to react to such a grievous and traumatic injury> The answer is you do not compromise and you do what you must to keep your country and its people – and by extension our allies – safe and secure.

Bottom line …

If you haven't noticed or even considered it, the sad truth is that politics has turned into a profession, where money and power has become more important than the oath the politicians swore to uphold. Gaining and maintaining money and political power has become more important than our nation, its constitution, the rule of law, and the freedom and liberty that were born of this new nation.

The reason I have decided to back Ted Cruz is because he is not a deal maker. We have seen how he is hated by the establishment and the opposition for refusing to bow to compromise and go along to get along. Standing firm against the opposition, from across the aisle and from the leadership of his own party, as he fights for what he believes: the United States Constitution and the rule of law. He fights for his constituents and does what he promises. He is not, as one politician put it, malleable.

We cannot afford a criminal communist nor can we afford a malleable dealmaker who may simply sell out his country due to ego or ignorance.

We are about to lose our country to our enemies. Allowing the next President of the United States to pack the Supreme Court with ideologues who will forever change our nation in ways that may be reminiscent of the fall of the Roman Empire.

There is ONLY one person who has the personal values and ability to be our next leader. And, yet he is being vilified by all sides in their attempt to continue the fundamental transformation our nation. YOU DO NOT SEEK TO FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM THAT WHICH YOU LOVE AND RESPECT!

I beg you to reconsider all of those who are running. I suggest that Ted Cruz is the only one among them that is both capable and worthy of the Presidency. Anyone else and we are playing Russian Roulette with our lives and those of future generations. We have seen what a communist in the White House has done to our nation. This unconstitutional lawlessness must end in November.

Do not let those who have died to protect our nation and its people be forgotten, they did not die in vain so our nation could vanish in the sands of time. Do not let those who stand vigilant to protect us, here and abroad, be slandered and mocked for their service to us and to humanity. We are not a perfect nation nor a perfect people. But we certainly enjoy the most perfected form of freedom, liberty, safety, and security the world has known. Why people are willing to risk their lives to leave their countries and to enter ours, not vice versa.

If you listen to any candidate other than Ted Cruz, you would believe that our nation has lost its nobility and we need to seek a different political system; most likely the one that has failed each time it has been tried and has unleashed totalitarians and their unspeakable actions on an innocent population.

As I have said before, we are so screwed.

God Bless America.

BEN CARSON HAS SOLD OUT TO TRUMP: REFUSES TO COMMENT ON TRUMP'S PLAGIARISM IN GUAM

tc-1

I used to think Ben Carson was a talented surgeon and a moral man … and now I am not so sure about being moral. Carson appears to have sold out to Donald Trump for reasons he appears to be unable to articulate. Not that Carson was able to articulate any particular vision or explain policy on the debate platform. Especially since he was the candidate who put the platitudes in the debate platform. Now we are finding that Carson refuses to comment on an act of apparent plagiarism – suggesting that it might not upset him because the person who he employed probably is working for the Trump campaign.

Ben Carson: ‘It doesn’t bother me at all’ if Trump plagiarized my op-ed

Conservative news outlet The Daily Caller reported Wednesday that Mr. Trump’s March 9 op-ed published by a Guam outlet lifted full sentences and phrases, almost verbatim, from Mr. Carson’s Feb. 26 piece published in the Northern Mariana Islands.

For instance, Mr. Carson’s piece begins: “MANY Americans do not appreciate the patriotism exhibited by our brothers and sisters in the Territories of American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.”

While Mr. Trump’s piece begins: “Throughout the history of our nation, the patriotism exhibited by our brothers and sisters in the Territories of American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands has often gone unacknowledged.”

Mr. Carson, who endorsed Mr. Trump Friday after dropping out of the race himself, responded to The Daily Caller report Wednesday evening while speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, Politico reported.

“I would say that many of the people that worked for me previously are now working for Donald Trump, so that doesn’t surprise me at all,” he explained. Ms. Burnett asked, “So, in other words, it could be a direct copy, but it wouldn’t be plagiarism because it could be somebody who actually wrote the first one writing the second one?” “Let me put it this way: It doesn’t bother me at all,” Mr. Carson responded.

Bottom line …

I am really surprised how many people who I presumed were honest and principled actually betrayed their conservative credentials by shunning the one constitutional conservative in the race, Ted Cruz, as the rushed to jump on the Trump bandwagon. Supporting a candidate with negatives higher than Hillary Clinton may cede the race to the progressive socialist democrats.

I wonder how Jeff Sessions (R-AL) could sleep at night knowing he turned his back on Ted Cruz and helped elect Hillary Clinton?

We are so screwed.

Emory University President Jim Wagner Should Resign In Shame ...

I cannot believe any university president would actually offer counseling to those who claimed to be victimized and intimidated by a campaign slogan. How are these students going to make their way in a tough world? Or is it that they are jerking Wagner’s chain for media attention? Is Wagner a man or a mouse?

Emory University president says students are scared and 'in pain' after someone wrote 'Trump 2016' in chalk on campus

  • President Jim Wagner said students viewed graffiti as intimidating
  • Officials arranged a meeting for those offended to address concerns
  • University organizations also offered counseling to those affected
  • But some commentators have told the students to grow up
  • Republican frontrunner won the Georgia primary earlier this month

The president of Emory University has spoken to demonstrators who said they were frightened after someone wrote 'Trump 2016' in chalk around campus. Students at the Atlanta school, which has an enrollment of more than 14,000 claim their 'safe space' was violated when the messages appeared on sidewalks and buildings.

Jim Wagner, president of the Atlanta university, wrote Tuesday that the students viewed the messages as intimidation, and they voiced 'genuine concern and pain' as a result. He acted after student government wrote to him and slammed the university's response, prompting a meeting that led to protests. Now administrators want to track down those responsible for the controversial markings.

As they say, here is the rest of the story …

jjc

Emory President Jim Wagner may have excellent academic credentials, but he appears to be a progressive socialist democrat – and even worse, associated with former President Jimmy Carter, arguably to most anti-America socialist -- and the worst and most ineffective president in history until Barack Obama.

In 2006, President Carter and Emory President James Wagner founded the Institute for Developing Nations (IDN) to foster stronger ties between Emory faculty and Carter Center programs. Between 2007 and 2010, IDN provided seed funding on a competitive basis to faculty engaged in development related research aligned with principles that shape The Carter Center’s work: valuing local knowledge, working with in-country partners, and applying knowledge to solve problems and build capacity. Although small, the program helped launch pioneering projects that have gone on to leverage more than three million dollars in external funding. IDN also promotes connections between Emory faculty and graduate students and Carter Center programs to help understand and solve complex problems such as the persistence of gender-based violence in post-conflict societies, the role of elections in transitional contexts, and the gap between theory and practice in disease elimination and eradication.

If he was a republican or a conservative, he would have been gone in 2013 and branded as a racist …

In February 2013, President Wagner wrote an essay in the Emory Magazine entitled "As American as... Compromise" in which he used the Three-Fifths Compromise as an example of pragmatic compromise that Emory University should emulate. He wrote, "One instance of constitutional compromise was the agreement to count three-fifths of the slave population for purposes of state representation in Congress... Both sides found a way to temper ideology and continue working toward the highest aspiration they both shared—the aspiration to form a more perfect union. They set their sights higher, not lower, in order to identify their common goal and keep moving toward it." The essay sparked controversy on Emory's campus and attracted national and international media attention and an apology from Wagner. Per the New York Times, Wagner "acknowledged both the nation’s continuing education in race relations and his own." Leslie Harris, an Emory history professor who has worked to address issues of race at the college, countered that “[t]he three-fifths compromise is one of the greatest failed compromises in U.S. history .... Its goal was to keep the union together, but the Civil War broke out anyway.”

Bottom line …

Wagner gets his liberal victimhood credentials honestly. Perhaps he has been hanging out with Jimmy Carter too long and has become a Carterite that is afraid of his shadow. Maybe he should resign and leave educating our youth to someone who will reach back into childhood and teach them about “sticks and stones.”

We are so screwed.

DEMAND THE DEBATE: DID TRUMP OR AN UNAFFILIATED SUPPORTER ARRANGE FOR A SCANDAL THAT COULD FORESTALL A DEBATE WITH TED CRUZ?

It seems mighty convenience that the Florida-based National Enquirer, former Nixon dirty-trickster and Trump confidante Roger Stone, and Donald Trump all have deep Florida connections …

Donald Trump can’t stand up to a one-on-one debate, so he apparently must do the only thing he understands, throw mud against the wall and hope it sticks.

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz is trying to survive an explosive “dirt file” on the finger-wagging conservative senator!

And the new issue of The National ENQUIRER — on newsstands now — reveals how the reports say the staunch Republican is hiding FIVE different mistresses!

“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider.

“The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!”

Donald Trump’s Departed Top Adviser Speaks Out

It’s hard to overstate just how close Trump and Stone have been over the years. Their professional and personal relationship goes back more than three decades. Trump without Stone is akin to George W. Bush without Karl Rove or Barack Obama without David Axelrod. <Source>
Read “The Dirty Trickster” and see how Stone, Trump, and Nixon are the same guy.

WHY WAS ROGER STONE THE ONLY SOURCE QUOTED ON THE RECORD BY THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER?

Trump and Pecker …

Donald Trump’s Alliance With the National Enquirer

Now, as Carson overtakes Trump as the GOP front-runner, it appears Trump is getting help from a media outlet known for ending presidential candidacies: the National Enquirer. Earlier this month, the Enquirer published a cover story on Carson headlined “Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patient’s Brain!” The article called Carson a “White House wannabe” and claimed he “brandished a scalpel like a meat cleaver!” It went on to quote angry former patients saying he botched surgeries that left them disfigured and in pain; one patient who sued Carson said he forgot to remove a surgical sponge from her brain after a procedure. “His presidential campaign should be dead on arrival!” Enquirer reporter Sharon Churcher wrote.

Trump and Enquirer CEO David Pecker have been friends for years. “They’re very close,” said a source close to the Enquirer. In July 2013, Trump even tweeted that Pecker should become CEO of Time magazine, which at the time was being spun off from its corporate parent, Time Warner. “He’d make it exciting and win awards!”

This person also said that Trump’s campaign was a source for the article: “His campaign provided information that was used,” he explained. A Trump friend said that in the days leading up to the article’s publication Trump was telling people that Carson “had a lot of medical malpractice suits” and “almost killed a guy.” <Source>

How the media corrupts the process …

Someone puts an outrageous rumor on the internet and then the media report on the rumor being reported on the internet, and then the media reports on the media who reported on the rumor … and on-and-on.

Cruz responds … tcr

Bottom line …

We are not discussing the merits of constitutional conservatism over socialism or debating national defense … we are discussing Trump and Ted Cruz. It appears that this is pure Roger Stone, the man who coined the word “ratf**ck” in a political context. This is what the progressive socialist do to slam their enemies. And, if you note, the Enquirer has attacked every frontrunner except Trump … a pattern and practice that should be investigated by anyone who cares about the country.

Trump is a bottom-dwelling fraud that will do or say anything to grab attention and achieve his goals. Possibly even selling out the country in his delusional madness. There is apparently no way he can overcome his negatives, which are higher than Hillary Clinton’s negatives, and go on to win the general election. Trump may have one-third of the voters, but many of them are democrats gaming the primary or low-information voters. That leaves two-thirds against a Trump presidency. Trump is a celebrity clown and billionaire bully boy who was born on third base and thinks someone batting a single is his home run. Despicable.

IS APPLE'S iPHONE REALLY SECURE OR IS IT SALES HYPE?

As one who is about to upgrade their current iPhone, perhaps I should wait to determine if Apple’s security is really secure or is it porous enough that a Japanese company with a subsidiary in Israel can break the phone’s internal security safeguards and allow the government to crack its encryption scheme with a “brute force” attack?

The court filing …

MEMORANDUM OF POINTS AND AUTHORITIES

Since the attacks in San Bernardino on December 2, 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) has continued to pursue all avenues available to discover all relevant evidence related to the attacks.

Specifically, since recovering Farook’s iPhone on December 3, 2015, the FBI has continued to research methods to gain access to the data stored on it. The FBI did not cease its efforts after this litigation began. As the FBI continued to conduct its own research, and as a result of the worldwide publicity and attention on this case, others outside the U.S. government have continued to contact the U.S. government offering avenues of possible research.

On Sunday, March 20, 2016, an outside party demonstrated to the FBI a possible method for unlocking Farook’s iPhone. Testing is required to determine whether it is a viable method that will not compromise data on Farook’s iPhone. If the method is viable, it should eliminate the need for the assistance from Apple Inc. (“Apple”) set forth in the All Writs Act Order in this case.

Accordingly, to provide time for testing the method, the government hereby requests that the hearing set for March 22, 2016 be vacated. The government proposes filing a status report with the Court by April 5, 2016.

Israeli firm helping FBI to open encrypted iPhone: report

Israel's Cellebrite, a provider of mobile forensic software, is helping the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's attempt to unlock an iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino, California shooters, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported on Wednesday. Cellebrite, a subsidiary of Japan's Sun Cor, has its revenue split between two businesses: a forensics system used by law enforcement, military and intelligence that retrieves data hidden inside mobile devices and technology for mobile retailers.

If Cellebrite succeeds, then the FBI will no longer need the help of Apple Inc, the Israeli daily said, citing unnamed industry sources. Cellebrite officials declined to comment on the matter.

Bottom line …

I guess we will have to wait a few weeks to see if the iPhone can be cracked. If so, one might ask why the NSA, the most vaunted and storied of the clandestine technical agencies does not have these capabilities? Perhaps it is now time to take another look at the NSA and its funding. Or more importantly, how secure is the system if foreign forensic specialists have already demonstrated the ability to penetrate the outer layers of iPhone security?
