BEN CARSON HAS SOLD OUT TO TRUMP: REFUSES TO COMMENT ON TRUMP'S PLAGIARISM IN GUAM
I used to think Ben Carson was a talented surgeon and a moral man … and now I am not so sure about being moral. Carson appears to have sold out to Donald Trump for reasons he appears to be unable to articulate. Not that Carson was able to articulate any particular vision or explain policy on the debate platform. Especially since he was the candidate who put the platitudes in the debate platform. Now we are finding that Carson refuses to comment on an act of apparent plagiarism – suggesting that it might not upset him because the person who he employed probably is working for the Trump campaign.
Ben Carson: ‘It doesn’t bother me at all’ if Trump plagiarized my op-ed
Conservative news outlet The Daily Caller reported Wednesday that Mr. Trump’s March 9 op-ed published by a Guam outlet lifted full sentences and phrases, almost verbatim, from Mr. Carson’s Feb. 26 piece published in the Northern Mariana Islands.
For instance, Mr. Carson’s piece begins: “MANY Americans do not appreciate the patriotism exhibited by our brothers and sisters in the Territories of American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.”
While Mr. Trump’s piece begins: “Throughout the history of our nation, the patriotism exhibited by our brothers and sisters in the Territories of American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands has often gone unacknowledged.”
Mr. Carson, who endorsed Mr. Trump Friday after dropping out of the race himself, responded to The Daily Caller report Wednesday evening while speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, Politico reported.
“I would say that many of the people that worked for me previously are now working for Donald Trump, so that doesn’t surprise me at all,” he explained. Ms. Burnett asked, “So, in other words, it could be a direct copy, but it wouldn’t be plagiarism because it could be somebody who actually wrote the first one writing the second one?” “Let me put it this way: It doesn’t bother me at all,” Mr. Carson responded.

Bottom line …
I am really surprised how many people who I presumed were honest and principled actually betrayed their conservative credentials by shunning the one constitutional conservative in the race, Ted Cruz, as the rushed to jump on the Trump bandwagon. Supporting a candidate with negatives higher than Hillary Clinton may cede the race to the progressive socialist democrats.
I wonder how Jeff Sessions (R-AL) could sleep at night knowing he turned his back on Ted Cruz and helped elect Hillary Clinton?
We are so screwed.
