There is little love between me and the Paul family. I believe both the father, Dr. Ron Paul, and son, Dr. Rand Paul, to be racists and bigots. Openly flirting with those who hate minorities and Jews. And, neither the father nor the son appears to have any love for Israel, claiming that Israel is part of the problem and should not necessarily be allowed to bring the United States into a Middle East conflict.

I have always believe the Pauls to be small-time grifters who only managed to get a seat in the big-boys game due to the highly-polarized populace of the United States and their ability to speak “conservative.” Political hacks that accomplished little or nothing while being reviled by the mainstream GOP.

Here is Rand Paul lambasting Hillary Clinton for taking Middle East money …

Rand Paul on Hillary Clinton and Woman’s rights …

“Hillary Clinton’s argument. You heard her argument for taking money from Saudi Arabia? Oh, she’s gonna do good things with it. And yet she’s taking money from a country that persecutes women. She takes money from the Sultan of Brunei. What do they do in Brunei? If you’re accused of adultery you’re stoned to death, which doesn’t sound very fair, but what makes it even worse is only men are accusing women. Women don’t have the ability to go to court because women aren’t allowed in court; women don’t vote and have no say. So you have something on the books that completely abuses the rights of women and she takes money from the Sultan of Brunei.”

And Rand Paul doing much the same thing on a much smaller scale …

Rand Paul’s team has another white supremacist

Jack Hunter, who co-authored Rand Paul’s 2011 book and now directs new media for the Kentucky senator, has a past alter ego as the “Southern Avenger,” a provocative radio personality known for wearing a luchador mask emblazoned with the Confederate flag and for making outrageous comments about race and Southern secession, Alana Goodman of the Washington Free Beacon reveals today.

And the worst part for Paul-land is that it’s hardly the first time something like this has come up. In late 2009, Rand Paul’s campaign spokesperson was forced to resign after Kentucky blogger Joe Sonka discovered the MySpace page for Chris Hightower’s heavy metal band, which was a fan of KKK gear and wishing people a “HAPPY N***ER DAY!!!” on Martin Luther King Day (that post was accompanied by a photo of a lynching). There was also, of course, Paul’s momentary opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

In September of 2010, Paul’s Democratic opponent called on him to return $1,200 in donations from three “white separatists,” Virginia Abernethy, William Johnson and Carl Ford. Paul refused, with a spokesperson telling the Louisville Courier-Journal: “Dr. Paul condemns hatred and discrimination, and if the white separatists who donated to his campaign think he shares their views they are badly mistaken and would be in for a rude awakening when they see that 20% of his campaign staff is made up of African-Americans.”  <Source>

Like father, like son …

[Ron] Paul keeps money from White Supremacist

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.

Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."

"Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money," Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said. "Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom."

"And that's $500 less that this guy has to do whatever it is that he does," Benton added. <Source>

Bottom line …

Paul talks conservative, Hillary talks Marxist – and both are trying to convince the American public that they are champions for the little guy. A ludicrous assertion as they run around grabbing money with both hands.

What annoys me is the rank hypocrisy of both candidates. If this is the best America can do to represent its constituency, then we are in deep, deep trouble.
