THE VIDEO THAT PROVES OBAMA IS LYING ABOUT MUSLIMS AND ISLAM …

Here is a video that all Americans should see …

It appears to have been filmed in 2013 at a Muslim "peace conference" in Norway and the speaker, Fahad Ullah Qureshi, Chairman of a Norwegian organisation Islam Net, and clearly and convincingly demonstrates that normal, everyday, mosque-attending Muslims believe the Qur’an is correct in prescribing punishments for those who transgress its word.

“I would ask you, everyone in the room: How many of you are normal Muslims – not extremists, not radical – just normal Sunni Muslims? Please, raise your hands. Everybody, with the grace of God. Okay, take down your hands.

How many of you agree that men and women should sit separately? Please raise your hands. Everyone agrees, brothers as well as sisters. So it's not just these "radical" sheiks, then?

Next question: How many of you agree that the punishments described in the Koran and the Sunna – whether it is death, whether it is stoning for adultery, whatever it is... If it is from Allah and His Messenger, that is the best punishment ever possible for humankind, and that is what we should apply in the world. Who agrees with that?

Allahu Akbar. Are you all radical extremists? So all of you are saying that you are common Muslims, you all go to different mosques in Norway... Or are you a specific sect, like the Islam Net sect, or anything like that? Are you like that? No. Are you like that? Please raise your hand if you are like that extreme Islam, that sect, or anything like that? No one, Allahu Akbar.

How many of you go to the normal Sunni mosques in Norway? Please raise your hands. Allahu Akbar. What are the politicians going to say now? What is the media going to say now? That we are all extremists? That we are all radicals? That we all need to be deported from this country?”

So where are the activists, the agitators, the gays, the women’s rights advocates, and the chattering classes is made up of progressive socialist democrats?

Why is nobody defending our Constitution? Why is nobody defending Western Cultural Values? Why is nobody pointing out that Islamists are incompatible with freedom-loving people? Political correctness? Multiculturalism? Moral equivalency? Or because President Barack Hussein Obama is in the White House and power trumps everything in the world of progressive socialist democrats?

Saudi Arabia at the forefront of state-sponsored terrorism?

Islam, as practiced by the majority of Muslims, appears tolerant of those Islamicists who actually practice the strictest interpretation of Islam – and one that found a home in Saudi Arabia where the majority of the terrorists originated.

Some even believing, myself included, that the Saudis are playing a dangerous game to preserve their Kingdom from overthrow – striking a Faustian Bargain with the terrorists to fund their activities and to spread Whabbism throughout the world by building Mosques and providing Imams who espouse strict adherence to the Qur’an.

And, let us also remember that the other state-sponsored source of terrorism, Iran, is comprised of the minority Shia sect of Islam that is fighting for their existence against the majority Sunni sect of Islam. A religious war that has continued for hundreds of years and is not likely to be resolved unless Islam is reformed or the Shia are ethnically cleansed as apostates. And, this war has nothing to do with Jews or Israel – other than they are mentioned in the Qur’an as the enemies of Islam.

The right questions were asked – and the answer is YES, stop immigration of Muslims and deport the radicals …

The questions were asked, “What are the politicians going to say now? What is the media going to say now? That we are all extremists? That we are all radicals? That we all need to be deported from this country?” and the answers are self-evident. The United States must cease allowing Muslims to immigrate, self-segregate into communities, and then turn those communities into the Crapistan they left because they claimed they were “persecuted.”

ISIS threatens to send 500,000 migrants to Europe as a 'psychological weapon' in chilling echo of Gaddafi's prophecy that the Mediterranean 'will become a sea of chaos'

Transcripts of telephone intercepts published in Italy claim to provide evidence that ISIS is threatening to send 500,000 migrants simultaneously out to sea in hundreds of boats in a 'psychological weapon' against Europe if there is military intervention against them in Libya.

Many would be at risk of drowning with rescue services unable to cope. But authorities fear that if numbers on this scale arrived, European cities could witness riots. <Source>

Obama the stealth warrior for Islam?

obma-h

Obama: 'Islam Has Been Woven Into the Fabric of Our Country Since Its Founding'

We hear a lot about the United States' Judeo-Christian heritage, but according to President Obama, "Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding."

That's what the president told a White House conference on "countering violent extremism" on Wednesday.

"I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story,” Obama said in a June 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt. "Islam has always been part of America," he said in a 2010 statement marking the start of Ramadan. And in a 2014 statement marking Eid, Obama said the holiday "also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy."
In his speech on Wednesday, Obama was making the point that Western nations must show that they "welcome people of all faiths," at a time when "extremists" are saying that Western nations are "hostile to Muslims." <Source>

Here is the man who is “slow-walking” our attack on the ISIS rebels in Syria and Iraq – expending costly ordinance on empty buildings. Using cruise missiles against specious targets that do not destroy, but merely degrade, the enemy’s capabilities.

Welcoming those who do not share our values …

Jeh Johnson: The Administration Must "Give Voice To The Plight Of Muslims"

DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY JEH JOHNSON: We in the administration and the government should give voice to the plight of Muslims living in this country and the discrimination that they face. And so I personally have committed to speak out about the situation that very often people in the Muslim community in this country face. The fact that there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and the Islamic faith is one about peace and brotherhood. <Source>

Jeh Johnson is the man that is expected to coordinate American counter-terrorism activities and he, like President Obama, cannot bring himself to define radical Islamists as the enemy, nor is he willing to meet that the Qur’an, in its strictest interpretation, is not compatible with Western values.

US Officials Admit Concern Over Syrian Refugee Effort

Top U.S. counterterrorism officials say they worry a potential terrorist could be hiding among refugees who are looking to come to the United States after escaping the brutal war in Syria.

"It's clearly a population of concern,” the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Nicholas Rasmussen, told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday.

Committee Chairman Mike McCaul, R-Texas, went further, saying it would be a “huge mistake” to bring refugees from the conflict to the U.S. – even as an estimated 4 million children, women and men have been forced to flee Syria and another 7 million have been displaced from their homes there, unable to leave.

Senior officials leading the State Department’s refugee efforts say the U.S. government has a long history of caring for the innocent victims of war.  <Source>

We have seen what unrestricted illegal immigration has done to California, overwhelming our medical, educational, and social support infrastructure and disrupting the lives of legal Californians. Refusing to assimilate as they self-segregate and form enclaves where Spanish is the predominant language and where non-Hispanics are not welcome. Areas that are overwhelmed with domestic terrorists in the form of minority gangs.

Do we not want Muslims to continue to concentrate their political power in the United States to the point where they can simply grant themselves additional political power and self-serving rules and regulations?

Bottom line …

It is amazing that Muslim activists in the United States demand that their minority rights be upheld and protected, and yet in most Muslim countries controlled by Islamists, there is no minority – and what minority exists, they are considered apostates to be killed.

The problem with Islam and the Qur’an is that it is unlike our bible, written by men, the Qur’an is the literal word of God as dictated to his Prophet Muhammad; and any alteration would be blasphemy and subject to death. Making true reform next to impossible in our times.

There are two types of Muslims in my opinion, the radical Islamists and those that do not participate, but accept and maybe cheer what the radical Islamists are doing.

Call me Islamaphobic, but for all practical purposes it is insane to continue to allow Muslims to immigrate into the United States. Why would we import illiteracy, poverty, disease, and a breeder class of social service recipients? While I feel sorry for the individuals involved, let them be rescued by their Islamic brothers and sisters who are enjoying the paradise known as Islam.

It is also insane to believe the progressive socialist democrats are capable of upholding their oaths of office or defending America and Americans from its enemies, both foreign and domestic.

We are so screwed.

OBAMA'S SUMMIT ON VIOLENT EXTREMISM IS JUST ANOTHER JOKE PLAYED ON AMERICA AND THE WORLD

OBAMAYNOBEL

Are you kidding me? … [my comments in blue italic]

wh-logo-trans

Remarks by the President at the Summit on Countering Violent Extremism | February 19, 2015 -- State Department; Washington, D.C.

Yesterday at the White House, we welcomed community groups from the United States, and some from your countries, to focus on how we can empower communities to protect their families and friends and neighbors from violent ideologies and recruitment.  And over the coming months, many of your countries will host summits to build on the work here and to prepare for the General Assembly.

Today, I want to suggest some areas where I believe we can focus on as governments.

First, we must remain unwavering in our fight against terrorist organizations.  And in Afghanistan, our coalition is focused on training and assisting Afghan forces, and we’ll continue to conduct counterterrorism missions against the remnants of al Qaeda in the tribal regions.  When necessary, the United States will continue to take action against al Qaeda affiliates in places like Yemen and Somalia.  We will continue to work with partners to help them build up their security forces so that they can prevent ungoverned spaces where terrorists find safe haven, and so they can push back against groups like al-Shabaab and Boko Haram.

[Yada, Yada, Yada – same old crap as if Obama thinks giving a speech is tantamount to taking action against those who kill innocents. Where was Obama when little boys were being buried alive, when little girls were being raped and then murdered. What have you heard about Boko Haram, except that they continue killing, maiming, burning and looting.]

In Iraq and Syria, our coalition of some 60 nations, including Arab nations, will not relent in our mission to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIL.  And as a result of a separate ministerial here yesterday, many of our governments will be deepening our cooperation against foreign terrorist fighters by sharing more information and making it harder for fighters to travel to and from Syria and Iraq.

[Where is this mythical coalition and where is its financial and military support?  You don’t degrade the enemy, you kill them and break their infrastructure. Has anyone noticed that we are bombing mostly empty buildings?]

Related to this, and as I said at the United Nations last fall, nations need to break the cycles of conflict -- especially sectarian conflict -- that have become magnets for violent extremism.  In Syria, Assad’s war against his own people and deliberate stoking of sectarian tensions helped to fuel the rise of ISIL.  And in Iraq, with the failure of the previous government to govern in an inclusive manner, it helped to pave the way for ISIL’s gains there

[Excuse me! Does President not know, or does he choose to ignore, a holy war between the sects of Islam, the majority Sunni and minority Shia, has been raging for decades? Where the Shia are regarded as apostates and need to be ethnically cleansed? As for Assad, has anyone noticed that Assad, despicable as he may be, is the good guy here? Protecting minority sects and attacking those who wished to overthrow his nation on behalf of outside forced? And, the failures of the “previous government” of Iraq can be laid directly at the feet of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They are the reason ISIL gained a foothold.]

The Syrian civil war will only end when there is an inclusive political transition and a government that serves Syrians of all ethnicities and religions.  And across the region, the terror campaigns between Sunnis and Shia will only end when major powers address their differences through dialogue, and not through proxy wars.  So countering violent extremism begins with political, civic and religious leaders rejecting sectarian strife.

[Is our President delusional? Assad had an inclusive policy and protected minorities. It was his opposition that wanted to turn Syria into a theocratic state governed by Sharia law and ethnically cleanse all that did not agree. If  Obama thinks he is that powerful as to bring peace to the Sunnis and Shia, he should be institutionalized as being majorly delusional.]

Second, we have to confront the warped ideologies espoused by terrorists like al Qaeda and ISIL, especially their attempt to use Islam to justify their violence.  I discussed this at length yesterday.  These terrorists are desperate for legitimacy.  And all of us have a responsibility to refute the notion that groups like ISIL somehow represent Islam, because that is a falsehood that embraces the terrorist narrative.

[Perhaps the President thinks he is speaking to ignorant Americans, but the truth is that al Qaeda and ISIL represent the purest forms of traditional Islam as practiced since the days of the Prophet Muhammed. As traditional as the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia who spread their doctrine around the globe and finance global terrorist jihadists. You cannot refute the notion that groups like ISIL represent Islam, because they do – and do so as it is commanded in the Qur’an.]

At the same time, we must acknowledge that groups like al Qaeda and ISIL are deliberately targeting their propaganda to Muslim communities, particularly Muslim youth.  And Muslim communities, including scholars and clerics, therefore have a responsibility to push back, not just on twisted interpretations of Islam, but also on the lie that we are somehow engaged in a clash of civilizations; that America and the West are somehow at war with Islam or seek to suppress Muslims; or that we are the cause of every ill in the Middle East

[Islam is fundamentally incompatible with other cultures: there is but one God, and that is Allah, and there is but one way, that is through the Qur’an and Sharia Law. There is no dissent, no tolerance, no separation of church and state, and no options for unbelievers except conversion, enslavement, or death. Religious freedom is picking the place to pray five times per day. The West is at War with an unreformed Islam. And, the only one claiming the United States and its colonialist power is the cause of global ills is President Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats.]

That narrative sometimes extends far beyond terrorist organizations.  That narrative becomes the foundation upon which terrorists build their ideology and by which they try to justify their violence.  And that hurts all of us, including Islam, and especially Muslims, who are the ones most likely to be killed.

Obviously, there is a complicated history between the Middle East, the West.  And none of us I think should be immune from criticism in terms of specific policies, but the notion that the West is at war with Islam is an ugly lie. And all of us, regardless of our faith, have a responsibility to reject it

[Islam has declared war on America – the 9/11 attack on American soil being as definitive as the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor. Reject it at your peril. Hitler told the world what he would do and he did it. The Muslims have told the world what they are going to do, and they are doing it.]

At the same time, former extremists have the opportunity to speak out, speak the truth about terrorist groups, and oftentimes they can be powerful messengers in debunking these terrorist ideologies.  One said, “This wasn’t what we came for, to kill other Muslims.”  Those voices have to be amplified.

[Most of the speechifying takes place in America where it is safe, and if those same words were spoken in front of Islamists, the speaker would be killed as an apostate. Killing Muslims is what it is all about as the Sunnis would kill the apostate Shia before turning to the infidels.]

And governments have a role to play.  At minimum, as a basic first step, countries have a responsibility to cut off funding that fuels hatred and corrupts young minds and endangers us all. We need to do more to help lift up voices of tolerance and peace, especially online.

[Does this moron of a President not know that we pay terrorists who spread hatred and corrupt young minds  when we send “humanitarian” funds to the Palestinians and other Islamists?]

That’s why the United States is joining, for example, with the UAE to create a new digital communications hub to work with religious and civil society and community leaders to counter terrorist propaganda.  Within the U.S. government, our efforts will be led by our new coordinator of counterterrorism communications -- and I’m grateful that my envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Rashad Hussain, has agreed to serve in this new role.  So the United States will do more to help counter hateful ideologies, and today I urge your nations to join us in this urgent work.

[Does this bozo not realize that the UAE is one of the greatest funders, along with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, of terrorism? Is he looking to create another Al Jazeera like the propaganda arm of Qatar?]

Third, we must address the grievances that terrorists exploit, including economic grievances.  As I said yesterday, poverty alone does not cause a person to become a terrorist, any more than poverty alone causes someone to become a criminal.  There are millions, billions of people who are poor and are law-abiding and peaceful and tolerant, and are trying to advance their lives and the opportunities for their families.

But when people -- especially young people -- feel entirely trapped in impoverished communities, where there is no order and no path for advancement, where there are no educational opportunities, where there are no ways to support families, and no escape from injustice and the humiliations of corruption -- that feeds instability and disorder, and makes those communities ripe for extremist recruitment.  And we have seen that across the Middle East and we've seen it across North Africa.  So if we’re serious about countering violent extremism, we have to get serious about confronting these economic grievances

[Great! Part of the solution is great ole socialist wealth redistribution. Perhaps Obama has not understood that many of these nations are ruled by absolute monarchs who share only enough with their people to keep them from overthrowing the government. With much being spent on arms to protect the regime and the status quo. We are not about to provide jobs to Islamists when we cant provide jobs to our own people in Detroit, Chicago, Oakland, South Central Los Angeles, and elsewhere.]

Here, at this summit, the United States will make new commitments to help young people, including in Muslim communities, to forge new collaborations in entrepreneurship and science and technology.  All our nations can reaffirm our commitment to broad-based development that creates growth and jobs, not just for the few at the top, but for the many.  We can step up our efforts against corruption, so a person can go about their day and an entrepreneur can start a business without having to pay a bribe

[By all means, let us educate them in nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare. Let us make them engineers to build ballistic missiles instead of power plants that work. And, Obama has the temerity to mention bribery – what the hell does he consider lobbying Congress and the Administration if not legalized extortion and bribery?]

And as we go forward, let’s commit to expanding education, including for girls.  Expanding opportunity, including for women.  Nations will not truly succeed without the contributions of their women.  This requires, by the way, wealthier countries to do more.  But it also requires countries that are emerging and developing to create structures of governance and transparency so that any assistance provided actually works and reaches people.  It's a two-way street.

[Let us provide drivers’ licenses for women in Saudi Arabia. Let us demand that women be officially allowed to shake the hands of powerful political and religious leaders in a receiving line. Let us demand that women walk with the men, not three paces behind. And, as for transparency – let us not use that word because it certainly does not describe the Obama Administration.]

Fourth, we have to address the political grievances that terrorists exploit.  Again, there is not a single perfect causal link, but the link is undeniable.  When people are oppressed, and human rights are denied -- particularly along sectarian lines or ethnic lines -- when dissent is silenced, it feeds violent extremism.  It creates an environment that is ripe for terrorists to exploit.  When peaceful, democratic change is impossible, it feeds into the terrorist propaganda that violence is the only answer available.

[Excuse me! The people are being repressed by their own governments headed by dictators and tyrants. With some kept in great luxury and others in abject poverty. Perhaps Obama should speak to the Islamists about wealth inequality and the benefits of socialism?]

And so we must recognize that lasting stability and real security require democracy.  That means free elections where people can choose their own future, and independent judiciaries that uphold the rule of law, and police and security forces that respect human rights, and free speech and freedom for civil society groups.  And it means freedom of religion -- because when people are free to practice their faith as they choose, it helps hold diverse societies together.

[Obama must be absolutely freakin nuts; but then again he is saying these things for domestic consumption and would not repeat his words in a foreign capital. Democracy is more than allowing people to vote for pre-arranged candidates; especially if the electorate is illiterate and coerced by even a semi-organized effort to get out the vote. The only state in the Middle East that meets Obama’s criteria is Israel – and he apparently hates Jews and Israelis with a passion. A passion that is likely to see Iran get a nuclear weapon and erase our only ally in the region, Israel, from the face of the Earth. Just as former President Jimmy Carter is the father of radical Islamo-fascism, it may be that former President Barack Obama is responsible for another holocaust. But then again, if Obama is truly a Muslim, that is a good thing because it may signify the return of the final Prophet and the beginning of the new Caliphate.]

And finally, we have to ensure that our diverse societies truly welcome and respect people of all faiths and backgrounds, and leaders set the tone on this issue.

[Can’t wait for the Jews to be given tours of Islamic holy cities like Mecca and Medina like everyone is welcome in Jerusalem – enough said.]

Groups like al Qaeda and ISIL peddle the lie that some of our countries are hostile to Muslims.  Meanwhile, we’ve also seen, most recently in Europe, a rise in inexcusable acts of anti-Semitism, or in some cases, anti-Muslim sentiment or anti-immigrant sentiment.  When people spew hatred towards others -- because of their faith or because they’re immigrants -- it feeds into terrorist narratives.  If entire communities feel they can never become a full part of the society in which they reside, it feeds a cycle of fear and resentment and a sense of injustice upon which extremists prey.  And we can’t allow cycles of suspicions to tear at the fabric of our countries.

[Time for a little multi-culturalism and moral equivalence and the dance of distraction.]

So we all recognize the need for more dialogues across countries and cultures; those efforts are indeed important.  But what’s most needed today, perhaps, are more dialogues within countries -- not just across faiths, but also within faiths.
Violent extremists and terrorists thrive when people of different religions or sects pull away from each other and are able to isolate each other and label them as “they” as opposed to “us;” something separate and apart.  So we need to build and bolster bridges of communication and trust.

We are all in the same boat.  We have to help each other.  In this work, you will have a strong partner in me and the United States of America.

[The loud laughter you hear is from our allies who know he is lying and the applause is coming from our enemies as they celebrate the weakness of Obama and the America he purports to lead.]

Bottom line …

Once again, President Obama condemns himself to the dustbin of history with his inane and untruthful remarks. Even Obama’s TelePrompTer is smarter than he appears to be.

This sounds more like social justice for Islamists than a way to defeat the Islamists. But, did anyone note that bin Laden came from a wealthy family, most of the serious terrorists are from middle- and upper-class families and are fighting for their faith, not their economic future?

DANA ROHRABACHER IS WILLING TO LOOK AT CLIMATE DATA MANIPULATION

There is little doubt in my mind that the global climate activists have steadily degraded the raw weather data used to feed the models that appear to predict apocalyptic global climate change.

As we can see from this example, there is an unnatural bias introduced into data when it has been homogenized by scientists.

THE GREATEST DANGER FACING MANKIND IS NOT GLOBAL WARMING, BUT POLITICAL CORRUPTION

Much of the terrestrial temperature record has been corrupted to the point where the original raw data cannot be accessed, and only the statistically-manipulated data of unknown provenance and that has been “homogenized” is available. Therefore, it is possible that the warming trend has been “baked-in” to the cake before it even is processed by the models. Here is an example of the time-of-day correction bias (TOBS) for one data sample courtesy of Steve Goddard.

ushcn26

We need to bring sunlight into both politics and science. We need to avoid using science like a drunken individual using a light pole: for support rather than illumination.

<Source:One Citizen Speaking>

GLOBAL WARMING IS MAN-MADE: BUT DOES NOT INVOLVE CARBON DIOXIDE

There are other datasets that do not show substantial global warming and yet these datasets are often omitted from studies conducted by global warming activists who mostly rely on the GHCN (Global Historical Climate Network) and their homogenized data.

The two datasets that are often ignored are those from Remote Sensing Systems (RSS - satellite data) and the state-of-the-art US Climate Reference Network (USCRN) which has none of the problems like those experienced by the GHCN. Both of which contradict the severity of the terrestrial datasets produced from the Global Historical Climate Network. <Source: One Citizen Speaking>

A honest man emerges from the legislative slime …

Enter Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) who appears willing to stand up and look at the data underlying billions of dollars of taxpayer money and the promulgation of restrictive rules and regulations that enlarge the size and scope of government, raise taxes, raise prices, and reduce our personal freedoms and liberty.

dr

And, there are those climate activists who consider Rohrabacher’s tweet to be a threat …

GOP Rep Rohrabacher Threatens Climate-Scientists in a Tweet

I've been trying to engage Dana Rohrabacher on twitter in an attempt to convince him that NASA and NOAA haven't been manipulating temperature data.

I even tweeted him links to results I got when I ran raw (i.e. non-adjusted) temperature data through a simple gridding/averaging routine I coded up some time ago.  I tried to show him that the global-warming trend seen in the data really is robust, and that no adjustments are needed to confirm the NASA/NOAA results.

I tried to convince Rohrabacher (by showing him my own global-temperature results) that the temperature adjustments largely cancel each other out for global-scale averages, and that the majority of the difference between raw and adjusted data results is the result of corrections for station moves. (The raw data contains no station-move corrections, while the adjusted data does contain those corrections).

My intention isn't so much to teach him (I may as tell teach my cat to perform long-division), but to leave juicy "electronic breadcrumbs" that future opposition-researchers can data-mine and hopefully use against Rohrabacher and the GOP in future elections. <Source>

Like anyone can posit a scientific explanation of a complex issue in a series of 140-character tweets.

Perhaps one should look at a definitive source …

Here is the warning contained in the “README” file at NOAA  <Source link to government database redacted> …

ghc-hdr

But when tracking data changes that should be well documented, you are on your own …

GHCNM, V3, status file

(users can use this file to determine overall current status, including
information related to previous changes and errata).

DISCLAIMER: The status file does not record every possible change that may
have occurred from one version to another.  This would be impractical for a
variety of reasons. Therefore if a user is interested in discovering every
possible difference between two different file versions, they will need to
construct their own program to determine all possible changes between the file
versions.
<Source link to government database redacted>

And, if you don’t read the fine print, you might use the wrong data at the wrong time …

noaa header

NCDC uses two correction processes to remove inhomogeneities associated with factors unrelated to climate such as changes in observer practices, instrumentation, and changes in station location and environment that have occurred through time.

The first correction for time of observation changes in the United States was inadvertently disabled during late 2012. That algorithm provides for a physically based correction for observing time changes based on station history information.

NCDC also routinely runs a pairwise correction. algorithm that addresses such issues, but in an indirect manner. It successfully corrected for many of the time of observation issues, which minimized the effect of this processing omission.

The version 3.2.1 release also includes the use of updated data to improve quality control and correction processes of other U.S. stations and neighboring stations in Canada and Mexico.

Compared to analyses released in January 2013, the trend for certain calendar months has changed more than others. This effect is related to the seasonal nature of the reintroduced time-of-observation correction. Trends in U.S. winter temperature are higher while trends in summer temperatures are lower. For the globe, ranks of individual years changed in some instances by a few positions, but global temperature trends changed no more than 0.01°C/century for any month since 1880. <Source link to government database redacted>

Bottom line …

We need representatives who advocate for their constituents and, more broadly, “We the People” to counter lobbyists and other special interests who would be willing to use science to promote onerous and dangerous self-serving public policies.

And, as noted by the climate activist’s own words … it is not always about science, but about political power.

By their own admission, the data has been manipulated, sometimes to the point where critical datasets no longer contain original data, but statistically white-washed data that is better suited for the purpose of modeling global climate change as determined by a relatively few climate activists with their hands on the data cache.

RELIGION IN POLITICS?

A friend sent me this video, seemingly about the role of religion in society, and for some reason it sounded vaguely creepy and made me feel ill at ease …

Then it hit me …

This is the type of video that “nudges” people to accept religion as a part of political life; and for individuals to be “obedient” to the laws of the land and the leadership that makes those laws. Without every mentioning that we are living in dangerous times when those making those laws are corrupt and self-serving. And, when many of those laws do not pass Constitutional muster – and yet we are expected to obey them blindly.

I found it to be intellectually dishonest to tangentially mention the subject of “Marxism,” because the apparent assumption is that many Marxists would not obey the law unless their obedience is compelled and enforced by the “police.”

The supposition that without religious training of youngsters and others, you cannot have enough police to cover the population. Again, falsely assuming that people, left to their own initiative, would deliberately make bad choices and not follow existing laws.

Yes, Judeo-Christian religion has provided a sound moral underpinning for generations of Americans. But what can you say when you see the Church promoting “obedience” to the law and see some of its highest officials ignoring the law of the land to protect its leadership and clergy from what is a criminal act in almost every society on the earth?

Perhaps we should worry more about what we are being “obedient” to …

Cluster of Concerns Vie for Top U.S. Problem in 2014 -- Poor government leadership was top problem in 2014; Economy ranked a close second – Gallup Organization

In 2014, four issues generated enough public concern over enough months for at least 10% of Americans, on average, to identify each of them as the nation's most important problem. Complaints about government leadership -- including President Barack Obama, the Republicans in Congress and general political conflict -- led the list, at 18%. This was closely followed by mentions of the economy in general (17%), unemployment or jobs (15%) and healthcare (10%). <Source>

For those that do not know Christensen and his theory of “disruptive innovation” …

ch
The Clayton Christensen Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to improving the world through disruptive innovation. Founded on the theories of Harvard professor Clayton M. Christensen, the Institute offers a unique framework for understanding many of society’s most pressing problems. Our mission is ambitious but clear: work to shape and elevate the conversation surrounding these issues through rigorous research and public outreach. With an initial focus on education and health care, the Christensen Institute is redefining the way policymakers, community leaders, and innovators address the problems of our day by distilling and promoting the transformational power of disruptive innovation. The Christensen Institute is based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. <Source>

Creative disruption -- which presents a paradox …

Much of politics is based on a quid pro quo transaction between politicians and the special interests; politicians receiving campaign funding and voter support in return for supporting the desires of the special interests above the wants, needs, or even the existing laws, of “We the People.” So in essence, people are being asked to be “obedient” to a system that has become increasingly self-serving and corrupt. With many of the laws, especially those that favor unions, being repressive and holding back innovative progress to maintain a labor-intensive status quo.

Beliefs …

Christensen, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), belongs to a church that is tightly-controlled and dedicated to teaching and practicing moral behavior. According to a different friend, Christensen is the second most famous business writer in the LDS movement; after Stephen R. Covey of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” fame. Also, according to my friend, Christensen became a “Mission President” after becoming famous and has made a number of similarly-themed videos as part of his Mormon outreach activities. The Mormons, after all, are famous for their proselytizing missions during an individual’s younger days. An excellent idea to teach self-reliance and promote exposure to other people and cultures.

    In Christensen's own words …

“Why do I choose to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as an organized religion, rather than attempt as an individual to live a good life? It is because the church helps me understand and practice the essence of Christianity. The mechanism by which the organization achieves this is to have no professional clergy.

We don’t hire ministers or priests to teach and care for us. This forces us to teach and care for each other – and in my view, this is the core of Christian living as Christ taught it.

I actually have come to feel badly for my friends who belong to faiths in which professional clergy are employed – because they don’t know how much joy they miss when they “outsource” the teaching and care of the members of their church to specially trained professionals.”  Read more

Again, I find this leadership issue somewhat paradoxical, because you need to be “examined” by a church official to obtain the “Temple Recommend Card” that allows you to enter the Mormon Temple.

As the discussion says, only the most worthy members of the church may enter the temple. Whether or not you quality as worthy to attend is a decision made by you, your bishop and your stake president. The bishop and stake president each give you an interview where they ask a series of questions. If they feel you are worthy they will sign a "temple recommend", a credit card sized card that gives you permission to enter the temple for one year, at which point the card expires. After the recommend expires you must return to the bishop and stake president for another set of interviews to get the recommend renewed. Here are the questions you can expect to be asked:

Do you sustain the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and as the only person on the earth who possesses and is authorized to exercise all priesthood keys? Do you sustain members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators? Do you sustain the other General Authorities and local authorities of the Church?

Do you support, affiliate with, or agree with any group or individual whose teachings or practices are contrary to or oppose those accepted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?   Read more

It appears that morality was not always moral for all …

From 1849 to 1978, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) had a policy against ordaining black men to the priesthood, and forbidding black men and women from taking part in ceremonies in LDS temples. Associated with this policy were various statements by church leaders tying the policy to their view of scripture, and opining that black men and women had inherited the curse of Ham. In 1978, the church's First Presidency declared in a statement known as "Official Declaration 2" that the ban had been lifted as a result of a revelation from God.Read more

And, then there is politics …

One of the most divisive, corrupt, and self-serving politicians in the Senate is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Mormon, who has done more to damage the United States with his slavish devotion to the Marxist policies of President Barack Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats. The man who has bottled-up the majority of the legislation submitted by the House of Representatives and kept it from being brought to the floor for a vote. The man who has used procedural tricks to allow ideological chameleons to enter government service. And, the man who used a Senate “trick” to allow the passage of Obamacare without a final House of representatives vote.

And, let us not forget Senator Orrin Hatch, a Mormon, who has done everything in his power to protect the big studios and content distributors – to the extent of criminalizing the breaking of an electronic wrapper around material that is in the public domain, extending the copyright protections far in excess of the original intent of the law, and using the federal government to serve as the investigator and prosecutor over what should be a civil, rather than criminal, matter.

The point being, it is the individual’s moral compass – and to a lesser extent exposure to religion – that appears to matter.

Bottom line …

Ask yourself why this well-produced, professional-quality video was made? Why it uses the referential authority of the well-respected Harvard Business School and a non-threatening academic environment? What are they selling? What is the call to action take-away?

  • Is religion really necessary in government to minimize the number of police required to enforce the laws passed by politicians?
  • And, in these troubled times, when is civil disobedience an obligation of people with a human rights or political grievance?

I have little or no doubt in my mind that Professor Christensen is doing what he believes is the right thing. But, to suggest that religion should be a part of political life, or used to make us more “obedient” without questioning the moral and legal underpinning of the code of conduct (laws), is just as dangerous as supporting a dictatorship.

I believe that your parents and peers should be the best teachers of morality, with churches and schools in a secondary position. That is not to say that there shouldn’t be trusted guidance from people of quality that you respect.

But, I am not a big fan of organized religion because I believe that a person instinctively knows what is right and wrong and many organized religions are first about power, money, and control, and then deal with morality of daily living.

Churches have been known to be wrong, to do terrible things, and to cooperate with evil to further their own existence. Therefore, I would urge you to examine your own beliefs and do the right thing, at the right time, and be respecting of all people who do not pose an existential threat to your way of life.

WHAT THE GOP CAN DO TO RESPOND TO OBAMA'S IMMIGRATION DIRECTIVES

amerikid

There are a few simple things that the GOP can do to respond to the challenges posed by President Obama’s immigration directives.

  • Give all current illegal aliens 6 months to register or face deportation if not registered. Enforce the current law.
  • Make English the national language and phase-out convenience language forms.
  • Make the use of E-Verify mandatory for all businesses. Add fingerprint or biometric capabilities to the system.
  • Restrict all illegal aliens from employment with the government or critical infrastructure.
  • Restrict illegal aliens from obtaining any professional license.
  • Restrict all illegal aliens from joining unions without E-verify checks.
  • Reformat and reissue Social Security Cards.
  • Make the commission of a violent felony a deportable crime not subject to discretion after the convict serves their full time.
  • Make the theft of a legal citizens identity or documents a deportable crime not subject to discretion.
  • Make voter fraud a felony and a deportable crime not subject to discretion. Make picture ID mandatory.
  • Deport entire families to prevent children from being separated from their parents.
  • Demand the end to sanctuary cities and reduce or eliminate their federal funding subsidies if they refuse to cooperate with DHS.
  • Make all fingerprint scans available to the DHS and use the national fingerprint database.
  • Implement Entrance/Exit Visa Processing and prosecute anyone who overstays their VISA by 60-days.
  • Remove Anchor Babies with Judicial Determination – children assume the nationality of their parents unless one is an American citizen.

No more 2000+ page bills …

It is time to create and pass bills that legislators can read and understand. No more Dodd-Frank, Affordable Care, or other large bills that are incomprehensible to the people and their legislators. Break the legislation into manageable pieces.

  • Border security
  • High-tech workers
  • Agricultural workers
  • Illegal aliens criminals (and their families)
  • Anchor babies, sanctuary cities and organizations, and social services
  • Immigration quotas, procedures, documentation, security checks

Bottom line …

There are only a limited number of actions Congress can take: impeach the President, impeach lesser officials, defund the Administration’s initiatives, continue to investigate the Administration’s activities, withhold Senate confirmation of judicial and other nominees, and/or Congressionally censure the President for activities unbecoming the Office of the Presidency and his apparent abuse of power.

But there is another recourse, legislate and force the President of the United States to veto the legislation; and then, use a supermajority of Congress to override the veto and enact the legislation into law. Thus forcing the President to uphold the laws that were passed or be excoriated by the American people.

Yes, there are things that can be done without considering impeachment of the President, although it is warranted, or court actions. And, we do not need to deport 11 million, only those who self-select by committing crimes.

JEB BUSH LYING FROM THE START? DECLARES HE IS HIS OWN MAN -- BUT BACKED BY BUSH FAMILY ADVISORS

Standing in a garage does not make you a car, and attending conservative events does not make you a conservative.

jb (4)

Jeb Bush declares he is his own man …

“I love my father and my brother. I admire their service to the nation and the difficult decisions they had to make. But I'm my own man and my views are shaped by my own thinking and own experiences.”

Yet his words ring hollow when he names his advisors …

Jeb Bush: ‘I love my father and my brother…but I am my own man’

But as he prepares to launch a presidential campaign, Bush will be relying on at least 21 veteran foreign policy and diplomatic experts, including former secretaries of homeland security and state, former CIA directors and national security advisers.

The list includes two former secretaries of homeland security, Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff, who worked for George W. Bush; two former secretaries of state, James Baker and George Shultz, who served under George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan; two former CIA directors, Porter Goss and Michael Hayden, who also served during the second Bush presidency; and former attorney general Michael Mukasey.

Others on the list include two former World Bank presidents, Robert Zoellick and Paul Wolfowitz. There's also John Negroponte, a former United Nations ambassador and the first director of national intelligence; Stephen Hadley, who was George W. Bush's national security adviser; and Meghan O'Sullivan, who worked with Hadley and Bush on the second Iraq war.

<Source>

Don’t get me wrong, many of these men are fine, upstanding citizens – but, they also have a worldview that resulted in actions taken by Bush (41) and Bush (43) and many engaged in what can be charitably called “crony capitalism” and using their former positions to feather their own nests.

Bottom line …

JEB Bush is an elitist RINO (Republican In Name Only) as are his Father (Bush 41) and Brother (Bush 43); although he is touted by his supporters as being more conservative than his presidential relations. Hard to believe because of Jeb’s pro-illegal alien stance on open borders, immigration, and his continuing support for federalized educational support through Common Core.

There is little or no doubt in my mind that Jeb will continue to keep key 9/11 information regarding the Saudi participation classified and honor old family friendships and business connections.

And, considering the connections between the Bushes and the Clintons, one can only imagine that this is a race that, no matter who wins, will not disadvantage either the Bushes or the Clintons and their business activities. One might expect him to be a soft-touch when it comes to attacking the opposition much like his father and brother.

I am hoping that the GOP leadership will realize that Jeb Bush represents little more than democrat light and that his candidacy will not ignite those Republicans who are seeking to clearly differentiate themselves from the progressive socialist democrats.

Personally, I would like to see the GOP endorse the team of Scott Walker and Susanna Martinez.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND POLICING

There is little doubt in my mind that progressive socialist democrats are more interested in allowing criminals to walk-free to bring down the minority incarceration numbers rather than explaining why minorities commit a disproportionate number of crimes or are involved in the majority of gun violence.

OBAMAYSOCIAL_thumb[2]

And that progressive politics, not good policing, is driving our nation to become more accepting of agitators, hooligans, and criminals acting under the guise of “political protest.”

mem

Explain why Police Chief Robert White should not resign or be fired for dereliction of duty when he ordered his police officers not to stop or interfere with protesters defacing a police memorial commemorating those who lost their lives in the battle to protect us all?

The progressive meme of police brutality and the agitation of community activists, many of whom are socialists, communists, and anarchists cannot be allowed to stand. Police who point to the protests and civil disobedience in Ferguson, Missouri or New York City and then exempt themselves from enforcing the law are responding to political pressure that needs to be curtailed. In both cases, Michael Brown and Eric Garner brought about their own deaths by openly challenging and resisting police authority.

cw

Police Upset After Memorial Vandalized

Denver Police Chief Robert White on Sunday defended his policy ordering police not to interfere with protesters, saying he found it "disgusting" that they vandalized a memorial for fallen police officers while officers had to stand by and watch, but he said their restraint was necessary to protect the community.

Denver Director of Public Safety Stephanie O'Malley said the policy of restraint is "a model for other cities as they respond to a growing wave of protests across America."

Denver police issued the policy following widespread protests over several people killed by police, including the police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed, black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri, and the police chokehold death of Eric Garner in New York City. Officers involved in both deaths were later cleared of any charges by local grand juries.

Police Upset After Memorial Vandalized | Officer.com

Bottom line …

It is time to crack down on the socialist, communist, and anarchist agitators who foment discord and promote riots wherever they travel. Enough with the incendiary rhetoric and false narratives that are carried in the progressive mainstream media without challenge. The falsity of “hands up, don’t shoot” or “I can’t breathe” as legitimate slogans must be challenged. If Michael Brown had not attacked a police officer, he would still be alive. If Eric Garner surrendered to police and fought his battle in court, he would still be alive today.

Enough with giving disruptive hooligans a pass. I say spray looters with dye and then wrap them up at the perimeter and charge them. Since when does civil protest demand looting liquor stores, grocery markets, electronics shops, and beauty supply companies?

And, it’s time that MSNBC pull Al Sharpton off the air for his blatant lies and communities hold him responsible for damage relating to his continual racial agitation.

But, in the meantime, Chief Robert White should be fired for dereliction of duty and failure to uphold his sworn oath of office.

THE GREATEST DANGER FACING MANKIND IS NOT GLOBAL WARMING, BUT POLITICAL CORRUPTION

All you need to know about global climate change …

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind, be they an activist, a denier, or simply a skeptic that global climate change exists, has always existed since Earth has an atmosphere, and will continue to exist as long as Earth survives.

What is being disputed is whether or not man can grossly affect the global climate in such a way as to create a planetary catastrophe that has never been seen since the dawn on life on Earth. It has been colder, hotter, with less atmospheric carbon dioxide, and more atmospheric carbon dioxide – and yet man continues to adapt to his environment.

And, whether the possibility and probability of a planetary catastrophe has been sufficiently demonstrated to allow politicians to enlarge the size and scope of government, raise taxes, raise prices, engage in wealth-redistribution, and curtail the freedoms of citizens; all in the name of fighting this unproven and unlikely planetary emergency.

Anthropogenic (man-made) global climate change is not a proven fact, nor does it even rise to the status of a theory. It remains a hypothesis based on climate modeling using incomplete or not well-understood estimations of physical phenomena.

There is no device, measurement, or calculation that can separate man’s climate input from the natural climate fluctuations of an inherently chaotic system.

It also appears that the constantly rising atmospheric carbon dioxide does not lead to drastic temperature rises as the current global mean temperature has been relatively flat for the past eighteen plus years and the climate scientists have offered no convincing explanation of why this is so or where the extra heat, if it exists, is being stored.

CMIP5-73-models-vs-obs-20N-20S-MT

gw18.1

Much of the terrestrial temperature record has been corrupted to the point where the original raw data cannot be accessed, and only the statistically-manipulated data of unknown provenance and that has been “homogenized” is available. Therefore, it is possible that the warming trend has been “baked-in” to the cake before it even is processed by the models. Here is an example of the time-of-day correction bias (TOBS) for one data sample.

ushcn26

The majority of climate scientists are not necessarily activists or corrupt … but they are aware that their employer and/or their institution relies on federal funding which is politically-directed. Therefore, their proposals and projects are most likely to be those that can be funded – thus introducing a subtle political bias into the body of climate science. Where funding for contrarian views or attempts to falsify existing theories is less likely to be supported and funded.

Many scientists are swayed by the type of peer-pressure that can make or break careers, and are thus less likely to speak out about their colleagues or comment on work outside of their immediate discipline.

“In this age of specialization men who thoroughly know one field are often incompetent to discuss another. The great problems of the relations between one and another aspect of human activity have for this reason been discussed less and less in public.” – Dick Feynman

We need to bring sunlight into both politics and science. We need to avoid using science like a drunken individual using a light pole: for support rather than illumination.

Science is not performed by consensus, so simply counting scientists or scientific papers and drawing a conclusion is not only corrupt science, it is dishonest science. Many researchers do not perform original science, but aggregate the results of other scientific papers from which they draw conclusions and then publish their results. Thus, compounding any errors in the underlying original works. Consensus derived from counting the number of papers on a given position and calling that science is grossly suspect as science is not a process of consensus, it is a process of controlled skepticism.

Bottom line …

It appears that the politicians want to use science to allay the fears of their constituents when they exert greater control over each of our lives and re-distribute our collective wealth to the special interests and those entitlements favored by those who support their political ambitions. Absent this scientific crutch, this political power grab, looting of the our collective treasury, and reduction in personal freedoms would be so outrageous as to spark another revolution that would see these politicians in jail for their criminal-like actions under the color of law. And, given the deeply divided nature of our nation – also brought about by politicians – we might even see civil unrest leading to a physical revolution of the kind not seen since the Civil War.

We are approaching another presidential election, where the character of the nation and its public policies, both foreign and domestic, can be changed. It is up to us to become informed about the issues, to select representatives of good character, and those who will represent their constituents over the special interests that seem to purchase politicians cheaply and to our detriment.

As far as the science of climate change is concerned, and cognizant of the fraud that has occurred, perhaps we should designate a portion of our research budget (40%) to contrarian studies to falsify current hypotheses, assumptions, and models. And make it a criminal act for a politician to interfere in a scientific project to the extent of producing a political, not a scientific, conclusion. I am speaking of the type of science that is purportedly performed by the United Nations’ IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) where politics cherry picks the science in order to support its political agenda and self-interests.

Let us bring both politics and science into the light before we experience a true planetary catastrophe: the loss of our lives to those who do not respect viewpoints other than their own or the loss of our freedoms which distinguishes us as a nation and as a civilized people.

Most of the accomplished scientists I know, have known, or respect don't tell you how to live your life, they just raise an inordinate number of crucial questions that must be answered or approximated with scientific rigor before you can come to a conclusion about how life should be lived.

THE NEW DARK AGES OF ISLAM

Once again history appears to be repeating itself …

We live in a world where history has demonstrated that evil can not only exist, but thrive in the hearts of those who wish to blame others for their own shortcomings.

We have a United Nations, created as a forum where nations could settle their grievances and whose existence would be a bulwark against genocidal ethnic cleansing. Not only is this body ruled by a majority of malevolent monarchs and dictators, but the forces of evil clearly outweigh the forces for good. Lifting not a finger when little boys are buried alive and little girls are raped by religious zealots as they go about their mission of ethnic cleansing.

Where this august body is more interested in becoming a governing body superior to the sovereignty of nations, but a self-funding entity that is responsible only unto itself for its behavior.

Against this background of malignant neglect, we find ourselves entering an era of modern crusades, where the enlightened forces of Christendom are arrayed against the dark forces of an ever-expanding Islamic culture of death and destruction. Where the highest and most estimable ambitions of millions of people is to kill their enemies and die a martyr’s death – to be rewarded in the afterlife for the pain and suffering endured on this mortal plane.

The premise of fundamental Islam is that you are either obedient to the words transcribed by a 7th century warlord or you will be killed. Never you mind about the religious leadership that commits immoral acts in private while acting pious in public. The ignorance, the hypocrisy, and the deadliness of this perverted religion cannot be underestimated or over stated. To allow any religion to justify the killing of a cartoonist over the depiction of a deity – any deity – is to allow the inmates to run the multicultural, morally equivalent, and politically correct insane asylum that is today’s world.

To those who believe that man-made laws regarding religious tolerance is a suicide pact; where you welcome your enemies into your house and surrender your faith, money, arms, and life, is to celebrate the ludicrous and capricious nature of medieval ignorance.

Speaking with a furious anger …

It is amazing to me that one can observe, as it has been widely published, that where Muslims are in the minority, they are quick to speak with a furious anger about minority rights and how they must be protected and projected. And yet, where Muslims are in the majority, there are no minority rights because every deviation from the religion is an offense against Islam; to be brutally and barbarically punished as an object lesson to others who are not obedient and dare to have religious thoughts and opinions of their own.

The battle lines must be drawn …

With the thought of nuclear weapons wielded by essential what can be termed a religious death cult, and as unpleasant and as immoral as it seems, self-preservation demands that we kill those who would kill us before they reach the capacity to strike deeply into our homeland with catastrophic  – quickly and efficiently without regard for those with humanist feelings that portray evil as a collection of individuals, some of whom might be innocent – but, yet support the evil that will be done in the name of their religion.

Bottom line …

The day of reckoning draws nigh … and the question is: can we meet the challenge without mankind suffering another mass casualty approaching holocaustic proportions event as a trigger for political and military action?

Are we willing to sacrifice the State of Israel, the only democratic bastion of good in a sea of evil before we take action? Are we approaching a neo-1933 where Hitler is starting to consolidate power and nobody believes what he has clearly said and written of his ambitions? Are we to ignore the speeches and writings of Iran’s Supreme Leader and believe he really doesn’t mean what he says when he speaks about annihilating the State of Israel? Can we, as a people, allow anti-Semitic politicians that are in the highest reaches of our government sit idly by and watch as the prepare to destroy an ally – taking action only when it becomes apparent we are next?

Think about the state of affairs, both foreign and domestic, as we approach the upcoming 2016 presidential election cycle. And an administration that downplays terrorism and puts on a plane with that of global climate change. Think of what this world might lose if we allow Israel to be consumed in fire and overrun by ignorant religious fanatics? And, think of how history will treat the generation that enabled another holocaust to occur on their watch. Are you willing to support or at least tolerate the dark side of humanity?

SCIENCE IS THE LAST THING GLOBAL WARMING PROPONENTS WANT TO DISCUSS

Yes, it is extraordinarily cold … and the scientific term is “winter.”

cold

Yesterday, I found myself in a discussion about the science of global climate change. I wanted to talk about the data, the models, and the science. He wanted to assure me that the science was settled and a consensus of reputable scientists had determined climate change was real, it was a growing menace, and even if  models had hiccups, the models would be refined over time; and, it was necessary to start implementing a solution now.

Lost in the babble …

I asked if he would grant me one concession regarding the science before we implemented globalized central planning that disrupted economies and the lives of millions of people.

Can you point to any device, measurement, or calculation that can clearly and convincingly separate the two drivers of global climate change: nature and the alleged impact of man’s industrial policies? He sputtered, fumed, and ranted … but finally admitted that he did not know of any way to separate the two separate components from the historical temperature record, tree ring proxies, ice cores, and the other proxies used to estimate climatic conditions in times long past.

The truth is that there is no such device, measurement, or calculation that can isolate and display man’s contribution to global climate change in a naturally chaotic system where long-term cycles measure hundreds, thousands, and even hundreds of thousands of years.

But, the politically-driven activists want to start implementing onerous public policies tomorrow lest mankind find ourselves totally screwed as a species in fifty to one hundred years. When I pointed out that there is at least fifty years of climate catastrophe projections from the same global warming activists, he claimed that we have more sophisticated science now.

So I asked him why the activists continue to use outdated, erroneous, and suspect data when we have satellite data and a state-of-the-art measurement network with few of the problems of the older systems – one that does not require scientists to massage the data before it yields answers when fed into climate models. No answer, other than to continue his broken record: climate change is real and we must protect ourselves and our planet.

Bottom line …

These people don’t want to discuss science, the want to simply say that science confirms the need for implementing a centralized global body that would exert control over energy production – critically necessary for the sole purpose of fighting a planetary catastrophe that was looming in the near future.

They are about power, money, and politics. They could care less about the science or even if the science proves them wrong. They have their new religion – and it is socialism/communism. Now if only they can breach the democracy of America, remove its sovereignty, disarm its citizens, they could set about saving the world. Meanwhile, they talk, talk, and talk some more while munching kale chips and speak of cleanses and vaginal steaming. What a world we have created – where the progressive socialist democrats will say or do anything to make people they really, really, really care about mankind and the benefits of veganism.
