JEB BUSH LYING FROM THE START? DECLARES HE IS HIS OWN MAN -- BUT BACKED BY BUSH FAMILY ADVISORS

Standing in a garage does not make you a car, and attending conservative events does not make you a conservative.

Jeb Bush declares he is his own man …

“I love my father and my brother. I admire their service to the nation and the difficult decisions they had to make. But I'm my own man and my views are shaped by my own thinking and own experiences.”

Yet his words ring hollow when he names his advisors …

Jeb Bush: ‘I love my father and my brother…but I am my own man’

But as he prepares to launch a presidential campaign, Bush will be relying on at least 21 veteran foreign policy and diplomatic experts, including former secretaries of homeland security and state, former CIA directors and national security advisers.

The list includes two former secretaries of homeland security, Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff, who worked for George W. Bush; two former secretaries of state, James Baker and George Shultz, who served under George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan; two former CIA directors, Porter Goss and Michael Hayden, who also served during the second Bush presidency; and former attorney general Michael Mukasey.

Others on the list include two former World Bank presidents, Robert Zoellick and Paul Wolfowitz. There's also John Negroponte, a former United Nations ambassador and the first director of national intelligence; Stephen Hadley, who was George W. Bush's national security adviser; and Meghan O'Sullivan, who worked with Hadley and Bush on the second Iraq war.

Don’t get me wrong, many of these men are fine, upstanding citizens – but, they also have a worldview that resulted in actions taken by Bush (41) and Bush (43) and many engaged in what can be charitably called “crony capitalism” and using their former positions to feather their own nests.

Bottom line …

JEB Bush is an elitist RINO (Republican In Name Only) as are his Father (Bush 41) and Brother (Bush 43); although he is touted by his supporters as being more conservative than his presidential relations. Hard to believe because of Jeb’s pro-illegal alien stance on open borders, immigration, and his continuing support for federalized educational support through Common Core.

There is little or no doubt in my mind that Jeb will continue to keep key 9/11 information regarding the Saudi participation classified and honor old family friendships and business connections.

And, considering the connections between the Bushes and the Clintons, one can only imagine that this is a race that, no matter who wins, will not disadvantage either the Bushes or the Clintons and their business activities. One might expect him to be a soft-touch when it comes to attacking the opposition much like his father and brother.

I am hoping that the GOP leadership will realize that Jeb Bush represents little more than democrat light and that his candidacy will not ignite those Republicans who are seeking to clearly differentiate themselves from the progressive socialist democrats.

Personally, I would like to see the GOP endorse the team of Scott Walker and Susanna Martinez.
