JOHN KERRY IS EITHER STUPID, CORRUPT, OR A LIAR -- MOST LIKELY ALL THREE

I cannot believe that Senator John Kerry – a Skull & Bones Yalie like former President George Bush (43) -- continues to pump out rhetoric about the possibility of peace in the Middle East. And, disturbingly, suggesting that it is Israel’s fault that no lasting peace agreement can be achieved.

The Palestinians will not accept Israel as a legitimate state!

Until the Palestinians recognize Israel as a legitimate state and affirm its right to exist, all of Kerry’s bloviating is a form of self-serving mental masturbation, of the type so favored by anti-Semitic State Department employees and the so-called WASP intelligentsia.

Let us watch Secretary of State try to change Hamas’ Charter …

Hamas, founded as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood and occupying a majority of seats in the Palestinian Parliament that controls the Gaza Strip, refuses to amend its constitution to remove the sections dealing with the destruction of Israel.  <Source>

Even if the state of Israel were removed from the equation, Islam would still be at war with itself to perpetuate the centuries old conflict between the Shia and the Sunnis for control over the religion and the interpretation of Muslim holy documents.

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has always said, “If the Arabs lay down their arms, there will be peace. If Israel lays down her arms, there will be no more Israel.”

Bottom line …

Until John Kerry is honest with himself and the American people, he continues to be a failure as a good-faith negotiator in any Israel-Palestinian peace initiative. It is my considered opinion that Kerry’s efforts in the region are simply a distraction from the possibility that President Barack Obama and his cadre of anti-America, anti-Israel progressive socialist democrats  want Iran to become a nuclear power in the region. To disadvantage America’s influence in the region and to provide additional strength to a Muslim (albeit Shia) nation.

It is time to remove the corrupt and incompetent progressive socialist democrats and their RINO cohorts from the House and the Senate in the upcoming election. Especially the Senate that confirms radical judges and spectacularly bad administration treaties. Vote as if your life depended on your actions – because, under Obamacare, this time it your life is really at stake.

CAN AMERICA BE PANICKED INTO SELF-DESTRUCTION?

The necessity of creating panic …

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that chaos, confusion, and panic is good for the multi-billion dollar business known as climate change. For many institutions, researchers, and the special interests feeding off the taxpayer’s money, there is no greater business. Especially when one considers that the results will not be definitively known for hundreds or maybe thousands of years – when every greedy and dishonest politician and private sector freebooter will be long dead. Of course, having enjoyed their ill-gotten gains in the meantime while the citizenry suffers under a more tyrannical regime that seeks to downsize their standard of living and increase their contribution for the so-called “public good.” In fact, a system designed by socialists and communists to allow a small cadre of the enlightened ruling elite to control the means of production, the labor force, and the financial sector in the name of the “greater good.”

During periods of chaos, confusion, and panic, people tend to believe those who are shouting the loudest and seemingly pointing in a safe direction. A period when common sense and logical thought give way to emotions and the thought of future survival. Only by capitalizing on panic, can draconian, self-serving public policies be implemented without a significant public backlash or even a revolutionary movement.

Pretty much Al Gore appears to be upset because he lost the presidency of the United States in what he believes was a rigged election. Something that the progressive socialist democrats have been doing for years, and mostly succeeding. Most of Gore’s bloviating does not stand up to critical challenge, but that is not readily apparent since the progressive mainstream media sides with the progressive socialist democrats and Al Gore manages his media appearances in such a manner as to prevent open confrontation and debate. Much in the same manner that President Barack Obama controls media access and stage-manages so-called press conferences. How many people realize that Al Gore’s testimony before Congress was not only unsworn, and the powers that be altered the room’s temperature upward for effect. The only person to potentially challenge Al Gore on the panel was move to another session so that there would be no conflicting testimony. And, if that were not bad enough, Gores is raking in the big bucks with his climate investments; sure to ease the pain in his mega-mansion while he continues to fly about in his private jet – allegedly buying carbon credits from an affiliated company to mitigate the so-called climate impact of his actions. In my mind, Gore is nothing more than a corrupt hypocrite and a tool that enables progressive socialist democrats and their communist friends.

It’s a good thing Al Gore didn’t have to raise his right hand and take an oath to tell the truth before he testified on April 24 to the House Energy and Environment Subcommittee about the Waxman-Markey climate bill.  … Al Gore lied to the Subcommittee about his personal finances during questioning by Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn. It turns out that Gore also lied to Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, who had asked Gore about his connections with the Wall Street firm of Goldman Sachs.  <Source>

How bad is the climate trend\?

According to the latest scientific research based on remote sensing (satellite) observations coordinated by the University of Alabama at Huntsville, the global climate trend since November 16, 1978 was +0.14 oC Per Decade (Ten Years). Assuming the trend holds and is not somewhat reversed by a cooling trend, that means that in 100 years, the temperature will have potentially risen by 1.4 oC! Hardly something that justifies chaos, confusion, and panic. Especially since there are no proven methods of global climate mitigation that are practical or can (or will) be applied across the globe.  It should be noted that climate scientists do not report temperatures directly, but only report deviations (anomalies) from an artificial baseline – a baseline that is both ludicrous and meaningless in nature’s geological time frame.

Regression to the mean …

Pretty much our global temperatures move up and down according to the significant forces of nature such as the Sun’s energy output and other factors that tend to bury man’s climate change input signal . in the noise of climate’s natural variability. Unlike the projections of flawed computer models that show an upward trend with little or no allowances for the type of cooling trend we have experienced for the last decade.

Science is not performed by consensus and flawed computer models are not representative of reality and/or equate to scientific fact.

Bottom line …

Through a not so accidental confluence of political corruption, governmental funding of research, special interest greed, and the abdication of journalistic ethics, it appears that American citizens are being deluded into allowing a very small group of vocal socialist/communist activists to infect American government, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure to promote the decay and destruction of America from within.

It is time to right a foundering ship of state by removing the progressive socialist democrats and their RINO counterparts from the House and the Senate. The choice is up to you, the voter. Do you want to sit idly by and let these cretins, charlatans, and corrupt bastards destroy our nation – or are you willing to vote the bastards out of office. Tell your friends. Unfortunately, under Obamacare, your life now depends on your vote.

UNBELIEVABLE: DEMOCRATS TRYING TO PROHIBIT FREE SPEECH AND PROTECT POLITICAL LIES

There is no doubt in my mind that progressive socialist democrats will do or say anything to promote the socialist/communist agenda with the same fervor they protect themselves from the consequence of laws that would see any of us ordinary citizens in handcuffs and on the way to jail …

First, comes the weakening of the First Amendment for the purposes of shutting down conservative speech that tends to point out the unconstitutional, unethical, and potentially criminal actions of the progressive socialist democrats.

SEC. 2. REPORT.
    Section 155 of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration Organization Act (enacted as section 135 of Public Law 102-538; 106 Stat. 3542) is amended to read as follows:
`SEC. 155. REPORT ON THE ROLE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS IN HATE CRIMES.
      `(a) Report Required-
Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014, the NTIA, with the assistance of the Department of Justice, the Commission, and the United States Commission on Civil Rights, shall submit a report to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the Committee on the Judiciary of the Senate on the role of telecommunications in hate crimes in accordance with subsection
    (b).
    `(b) Scope of Report- The report required under subsection (a) shall--
        (1)
analyze information on the use of telecommunications, including the Internet, broadcast television and radio, cable television, public access television, commercial mobile services, and other electronic media, to advocate and encourage violent acts and the commission of crimes of hate, as described in the Hate Crime Statistics Act
      (28 U.S.C. 534 note);
        (2)
include any recommendations, consistent with the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, that the NTIA determines are appropriate and necessary to address the use of telecommunications described in paragraph
      (1); and

(3) update the previous report submitted under this section (as in effect before the date of enactment of the Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014)

Just in time for the 2016 presidential election cycle, the progressive socialists will have a report that no doubtedly links hate crimes to talk radio, cable television, and the internet and will be calling for legislative action to unconstitutionally criminalize or enhance penalties if a perpetrator used those modalities to communicate a hate message. Of course, the devil is in the details and many claim that any speech that is against amnesty is de facto bigotry. Similar to the unconstitutional presumption that disparate impact is a legitimate method of addressing racial issues although it turns our legal system upside down an presumes a party is guilty by deeply flawed statistical analysis and that they must prove themselves innocent. All with the purpose of chilling free speech that would upset the progressive socialist democrat regime or its ill-behaved constituency.

The idea that progressive socialist democrats should analyze a free press to determine if it advocates and encourages hate crimes should be a clear indicator of how the socialists think and manipulate the media. The hypocrisy of the progressive socialist democrats can easily be demonstrated by considering the career of MSNBC host Al Sharpton who has been associated with hate speech that led to actual violence. And yet, the left loves him as a brother when it comes to election time.

Second, comes the argument before the Supreme Court that politicians should have the right to lie and any curb on their lying might chill free political speech …

It appears that President Obama’s Solicitor General, Donald B. Verilli Jr., is about to appear before the United States Supreme Court in SBA List v. Dreihaus and argue that prosecuting lying in a political campaign will have a chilling effect on political free speech.

Susan B. Anthony List v. Driehaus (Docket Number 13-193) To Be Argued Apr 22, 2014

The attack ad, often used to shame a candidate in an effort to persuade voters, is as common in today’s political campaigns as buttons, town hall meetings, and endorsements.  But it is not routine for the government to try to police those ads.  The state of Ohio and some fifteen others try to do so, however, and that has helped produce the latest First Amendment case for a Supreme Court that currently has a keen interest in that amendment, especially in campaign settings.

In all of the history of the First Amendment, the Court has never ruled that false statements are totally without protection under the Constitution.  It made the point again (although in a somewhat uncertain ruling that lacked a clear majority) in the decision two years ago in United States v. Alvarez, which took most of the punch out of a federal law making it a federal crime to falsely claim that one had received a military medal.  That, too, involved political speech.

When the House of Representatives in 2010 gave its final approval to the Affordable Care Act (now known widely in politics as “Obamacare”), one of the Democrats voting for it was Rep. Steven Driehaus, representing an Ohio district that included Cincinnati and its suburbs.  Later that year, he campaigned for reelection, but was defeated.

An advocacy group that is opposed to abortions, the Susan B. Anthony List, made an arrangement to put up a billboard in Driehaus’s district that would proclaim: “Shame on Steve Driehaus!  Driehaus voted FOR taxpayer-funded abortion.”  It also aired radio broadcasts with the same message.  The billboard never went up, because the company owning the space backed down when a lawyer for the congressman threatened to sue, claiming the message misrepresented his vote.

Driehaus soon pursued a complaint with the Ohio Elections Commission, which has the power to recommend prosecution for violations of a state truth-in-politics law.  That law has two key provisions: it prohibits anyone from trying to influence voters by intentionally making a false statement about a candidate’s voting record, and it prohibits the distribution of any false statement about a candidate if the source knew it was false or didn’t care whether it was true or false.

The state commission, in a preliminary vote, sided with Driehaus, but before any prosecution by state officials went forward, Driehaus was defeated for reelection, and his complaint was dismissed by the commission at his request.

Susan B. Anthony List then sued in federal court, seeking to strike down the law under the First Amendment.  It sued Driehaus and the state commission, along with its members.  That case was joined with one filed by an anti-tax group, the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes, which had wanted to send out emails and other materials also attacking Driehaus for allegedly voting for tax-supported abortion.  That group said it had held off sending out its messages because it knew of the commission action on Driehaus’s complaint, and was deterred from speaking out.

Obama’s position through his Solicitor General …

This case does not require the Court to determine precisely when an alleged chilling of speech [by the threat of being prosecuted for lying in a political campaign] constitutes hardship [being suffered by that liar], because it presents that issue in a unique election-related context that makes the hardship to petitioners [the liars] particularly clear. Petitioners [the liars] have sufficiently alleged that a credible threat of prosecution will chill them from engaging in [deceptive] speech relating to elections for public office, the very type of speech to which the First Amendment ‘has its fullest and most urgent application.’ Eu v. San Francisco Cnty. Democratic Cent. Comm., 489 U.S. 214, 223 (1989) (quoting Monitor Patriot Co. v. Roy, 401 U.S. 265, 272 (1971)). As petitioners explain (Br. 40), under Ohio law, candidates who are the subject of such [lying] speech can try to silence it by complaining to the [Electoral] Commission and thereby tying up the speaker [the liar] in administrative litigation during the short window of time in which the electoral speech [that person’s lie] would be most effective [at deceiving voters].4

The court of appeals largely disregarded these considerations in favor of focusing on evidence suggesting that the Commission proceedings [the investigation into the lie] did not actually deter [the liar] SBA List from disseminating its message [its lie]. Pet. App. 17a-18a. The court correctly recognized that evidence of how agency action [the investigation into that alleged lie] has affected a plaintiff’s conduct is an important factor in the hardship analysis. In this case, however, SBA List’s particular reaction to the Commission proceedings during the 2010 election cycle does not eliminate the objectively credible threat of prosecution that petitioners [SBA List] face if they engage in similar [lying] speech in future election cycles. <Source: Amicus Curiae Brief>

What? Even the conservatives agree that political liars should have the right to lie …

It appears that another Amicus Curiae (Friend of the Court Brief) by the conservative Cato Institute argued that free speech, even if it contains non-factual material, should be allowed arguing:

“Adding further penalties will not dissuade successful and talented liars. The only way that such a law could offer the public greater protection from untruthful speech—accepting for the sake of
argument that such protection is lawful, desirable, and necessary—would be if it adopted lower standards of proof than those required by civil defamation suits or newspaper editors.”

There is no lie that can be told about a politician that will not be more damaging to the liar once the  truth is revealed.”

There are some lies that are both obvious and funny – and serve to make a point about strange bedfellows

Politicians will always lie and their lawyers will always protect them from the legal consequences of their actions. It remains up to the voting public to sanction those politicians who lie and deny them the office to which they aspire. There is no greater penalty for a career politician that being denied their assumed rightful position at the gravy trough with a chance to become rich, powerful, and essentially above the law.

Considering the lies and damage done by the progressive socialist democrats under the Liar-in-Chief Barack “You can keep your doctor” Obama, progressive socialist democrats and their RINO cohorts should be recognized as a clear and present danger to America and all Americans. Let us hope that enough progressive socialists in the House and the Senate are defeated in order to restore the Constitutional checks and balances anticipated by our forefathers – and to rebalance the power between the legislative and executive branches of government.

Lying liars will continue to lie – and it is up to “We the People” to sanction their activities.

S. 2195 amends section 407 of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1990 and 1991, to provide that no individual may be admitted to the United States as a representative to the United Nations, if that individual has been found to have been engaged in espionage or terrorist activity directed against the United States or its allies, and if that individual may pose a threat to United States national security interests. 

As President Bush observed in signing the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1990 and 1991, this provision "could constrain the exercise of my exclusive constitutional authority to receive within the United States certain foreign ambassadors to the United Nations." (Public Papers of the President, George Bush, Vol. I, 1990, page 240).  Acts of espionage and terrorism against the United States and our allies are unquestionably problems of the utmost gravity, and I share the Congress's concern that individuals who have engaged in such activity may use the cover of diplomacy to gain access to our Nation. 

Nevertheless, as President Bush also observed, "curtailing by statute my constitutional discretion to receive or reject ambassadors is neither a permissible nor a practical solution."  I shall therefore continue to treat section 407, as originally enacted and as amended by S. 2195, as advisory in circumstances in which it would interfere with the exercise of this discretion.

The President of the United States continues to flout the United States Constitution. Ignoring the Legislative Branch (Congress) and accumulating unprecedented powers for the Executive Branch (Presidency)and its Administrative Agencies.

If the President was a honorable man and not a sneaky, corrupt progressive socialist/communist democrat, he would have vetoed a bill that he honestly believed interfered with his constitutional duties. Unfortunately, the man who voted Present for most of his political life, took the low road and simply wrote a weasel-worded signing statement that he attributed to former President George Bush.

GUN CONTROL -- CRIMINALIZING THE HOUSEHOLD: LOSING YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS ONE ADMINISTRATIVE RULE AT A TIME

There is little or no doubt in my mind that our government is filled with corrupt politicians who regard politics as a profession in which to feather their own nests with little regard to the public trust or welfare. And, even worse, a fifth column who is trying to destroy America from within by using our own laws and institutions against us. An egregious example being that law enforcement is prevented from profiling those who are most likely to commit crimes and other heinous acts to preserve the public appearance of political correctness and equal treatment under the law. What makes this especially egregious is that the United States Constitution is not a suicide pact that demands we embrace our enemies to the point where they simply kill us and face the consequences in a federal court of law if they survive.

There is no greater example of the disdain for the rule of law than Barack Hussein Obama, who openly declares that the Constitution, its checks and balances, and the authority of Congress is simply a trivial matter as he continues to use executive orders to direct federal agencies in their sometimes illegal and unconstitutional administrative rulemaking.

And, to see how these administrative rules and regulations play out, let us turn our attention to the corrupt and highly-politicized BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Taxes, Firearms, and Explosives), the very people who knowingly and deliberately allowed deadly firearms to “walk” across the border to be used by Mexican drug cartels to kill both Mexicans and Americans. A totally illegal act perpetrated by a government agency. Made even more egregious because it was not motivated by law enforcement, but by political considerations. The idea being that Mexican drug cartels would use these weapons to kill Mexicans and then when the perpetrators and their weapons were captured, the guns could be traced backed to American sources. Thus providing the impetus for implementing stringent gun control provisions on gun dealers in response to a phony and trumped up “need to protect innocent lives.”

Now, we are seeing the slow erosion of our constitutional rights based on little more than administrative rules and regulations plus a little help from activist or complacent judges.

Criminalizing the ENTIRE household …

The law used to be relatively simple and clear. A felon could not be in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and/or explosives. Later, the gun-grabbers used administrative rules and regulations – backed by court rulings – to extend and expand that to a concept known as “constructive possession,” basically being able to obtain a firearm, ammunition, and/or explosive because it was in the proximity.

But, now we are seeing yet another extension and expansion of the law of “constructive possession” that criminalizes the behavior of non-felons at home where a felon might expected to appear. Basically, the gun grabbers – mostly progressive socialist democrats – are expanding the concept of a prohibited person to that of a prohibited household. Denying those who have not been convicted of a crime their Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms; and possibly other Constitutional rights involving un-warranted (without a court-issued warrant)  search and seizure using the presence of a felon to conduct search and seizure activities. 

Using this expansion of the law, any person residing in a house where weapons or ammunition might be openly displayed would be subject to arrest for providing contraband --“prohibited weapons or ammunition” -- to a “prohibited person.” 

Unintended consequences – unlimited government power to circumvent the Constitution …

Given the Obama Administration desire for universal gun registration and background checks, the authorities could seek to silence their opposition or others by simply cross-referencing felons with gun registration information and proceed to execute a “no-knock” search if the person is on parole, or use that information to convince a weak-minded judge to provide an actual search warrant. Sweeping up and arresting other residents of the “prohibited household” – possibly on the basis of a single bullet planted by law enforcement. And, considering the political and professional pressures on law enforcement and prosecutorial personnel, we are seeing more and more planted evidence and prosecutorial misconduct.

Enter Harry Reid, the corrupt progressive socialist democrat who appears to abuse his constituents as a Nevada Senator …

Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013 - Amends the NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007 (NICS Act), the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act (Brady Act), the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, and the federal criminal code to require background checks for all firearm sales, prohibit straw purchases of firearms, and expand the school safety grant program.

Fix Gun Checks Act of 2013 - Amends the NICS Act to eliminate from the records concerning persons who are prohibited from possessing or receiving a firearm, about which a state must submit estimates to the Attorney General for purposes of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System: (1) a record that identifies a person for whom an indictment has been returned for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year or who is a fugitive from justice and for which a record of final disposition is not available; and (2) a record that identifies a person who is an unlawful user of, or addicted to, a controlled substance. Directs the Attorney General to establish the applicable time period for the occurrence of events which would disqualify a person from possessing a firearm (currently, within the prior 20 years) in pertinent records.

Replaces provisions requiring that a specified percentage of grants to states and Indian tribal governments for establishing, planning, or improving identification technologies for firearms eligibility determinations be used to maintain a relief from disabilities program with provisions authorizing states to use such grants for such a program. Authorizes appropriations for FY2014-FY2018 for such grants and eliminates allocation restrictions based on the percentage of records states provide.

Revises the periods during which the Attorney General may withhold Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funds from states that do not provide specified percentages of required records. Eliminates the Attorney General's authority to waive such withholding if a state provides evidence it is making a reasonable effort to comply.

Requires the Attorney General to publish and make available on a publicly accessible website an annual report that ranks states by the ratio of the number of records submitted by each state under the NICS Act to the estimated total number of available records of the state.

Amends the Brady Act to include federal courts as federal agencies from which the Attorney General is authorized to secure information on persons prohibited from receiving a firearm.

Amends the Brady Act to prohibit any person who does not hold a federal firearms license from transferring a firearm to any other unlicensed person unless a licensed importer, manufacturer, or dealer: (1) has first taken possession of the firearm for the purpose of complying with national instant criminal background check requirements; and (2) upon taking possession, complies with all firearms requirements as if transferring the firearm from the licensee's inventory to the unlicensed transferee. Specifies exceptions, including for: (1) bona fide gifts between immediate family members; (2) a transfer from a decedent's estate; (3) a transfer of possession between unlicensed persons in the transferor's home for less than seven days; and (4) certain temporary transfers without the transfer of title in connection with lawful hunting or sporting purposes at a shooting range, at a shooting competition, or while hunting, fishing, or trapping during hunting season.

Authorizes the Attorney General to implement this section with regulations that shall include provisions: (1) setting a maximum fee that may be charged by licensees for services provided, and (2) requiring a transaction record of any transfer that occurs between an unlicensed transferor and unlicensed transferee.

Makes it unlawful for any person who lawfully possesses or owns a firearm that has been shipped, transported, or possessed in interstate or foreign commerce to fail to report the theft or loss of the firearm to the Attorney General and the appropriate local authorities within 24 hours of discovery.

Stop Illegal Trafficking in Firearms Act of 2013 - Amends the federal criminal code to prohibit any person, other than a licensed firearms importer, manufacturer, collector, or dealer (licensed dealer), from knowingly purchasing in interstate or foreign commerce (including through receipt on consignment or by way of pledge or pawn as security for payment) a firearm from a licensed dealer, or from any person who is not a licensed dealer, for another individual, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such individual meets specified criteria disqualifying such individual from possessing a firearm. Sets forth an enhanced penalty for such a violation committed knowing or with reasonable cause to believe that any firearm involved will be used to commit a crime of violence. Specifies exceptions for purchases for certain bona fide gifts or for a bona fide winner of an organized raffle, contest, or auction.

Prohibits: (1) transferring two or more firearms to, or receiving two or more firearms from, a person in interstate or foreign commerce knowing or with the reasonable belief that such transfer, possession, or receipt would violate a federal law punishable by a term of imprisonment exceeding one year; or (2) attempting or conspiring to commit such conduct. Authorizes an enhanced penalty for someone who organizes or supervises such conduct.

Subjects: (1) property derived from or used to commit such an offense to forfeiture, and (2) a person who derives profits from such an offense to a fine equal to twice such profits.

Includes firearm trafficking offenses: (1) among offenses for which wiretapping may be authorized, (2) within the definition of "racketeering activity," and (3) within the definition of "specified unlawful activity" for purposes of money laundering violations.

Directs the U.S. Sentencing Commission to review and amend its guidelines and policy statements to: (1) ensure that persons convicted of offenses involving straw purchases of firearms and firearms trafficking are subject to increased penalties; and (2) reflect congressional intent that a person convicted of such offense who is affiliated with a gang, cartel, or organized crime ring should be subject to higher penalties.

Amends the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to prohibit the sale or other disposition of a firearm or ammunition knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that the purchaser intends to: (1) sell or otherwise dispose of it to a person in a category of individuals excluded from firearms possession, (2) sell or otherwise dispose of it in furtherance of a crime of violence or drug trafficking offense, or (3) export it in violation of law.

Increases the maximum terms of imprisonment for violating prohibitions against:

  • selling firearms or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person is disqualified from possessing such firearms or ammunition;
  • any such disqualified person transporting or possessing any firearm or ammunition in interstate or foreign commerce or receiving any firearm or ammunition that has been has been transported in interstate or foreign commerce;
  • receiving or transferring a firearm or ammunition knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that it will be used to commit a crime of violence, a drug trafficking crime, or other specified crimes under the Arms Export Control Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act, or the Immigration and Nationality Act; or
  • smuggling into or out of the United States a firearm or ammunition with intent to engage in or promote conduct that is punishable under the Controlled Substances Act, the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act, or maritime drug law enforcement provisions or that constitutes a crime of violence.

Prohibits the Department of Justice (DOJ) and any of its law enforcement coordinate agencies from conducting any operation where a federal firearms licensee is directed or encouraged to sell firearms to an individual if DOJ or a coordinate agency knows or has reasonable cause to believe that such individual is purchasing such firearms on behalf of another for an illegal purpose, unless the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General, or the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division approves the operation in writing and determines that the agency has prepared an operational plan to prevent firearms from being transferred to third parties without law enforcement taking reasonable steps to lawfully interdict those firearms.

School and Campus Safety Enhancements Act of 2013 - Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to authorize school security grants by the DOJ Office of Community Oriented Policing Services to be used for the installation of surveillance equipment and the establishment of hotlines or tiplines for the reporting of potentially dangerous students and situations.

Requires a grant application to be accompanied by a report that is signed by the heads of each law enforcement agency and school district with jurisdiction over the schools where the safety improvements will be implemented and that demonstrates that each proposed use of the grant funds will be: (1) an effective means for improving school safety, (2) consistent with a comprehensive approach to preventing school violence, and (3) individualized to the needs of each school.

Requires the Director of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services and the Secretary of Education to establish an interagency task force to develop and promulgate a set of advisory school safety guidelines.

Authorizes appropriations for such grant program for FY2014-FY2023.

Center to Advance, Monitor, and Preserve University Security Safety Act of 2013 or CAMPUS Safety Act of 2013 - Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to authorize the Attorney General to: (1) establish and operate a National Center for Campus Public Safety; and (2) make subawards to institutions of higher education and other nonprofit organizations to assist the Center in carrying out its assigned functions, including providing education and training for public safety personnel of institutions of higher education, identifying and disseminating information, policies, and best practices relevant to campus public safety, and promoting cooperation among public safety and emergency management personnel of institutions of higher education and their collaborative partners. <Source>

And who knows what amendments, technical corrections, and follow-on legislation might contain?

Bottom line …

It appears we have much to fear from the progressive socialist democrats who want to disarm the American public – primarily to stifle the possibility of armed insurrection against the increasingly unconstitutional and tyrannical policies of the so-called “enlightened elite ruling class” posited by the socialist/communist agenda.

In the Orwellian world of the progressive socialist democrats, the word “background checks” is often defined as “gun registration” with the future possibility of confiscation by judicial action – criminalizing the possession of scary-sounding “assault rifles” that conflates and confuses the already prohibited fully automatic versions of their semi-automatic counterpart. And, as was done in California, producing a whole new class of law-abiding felons with the stroke of the legislative pen.

Consider that some of the most vocal proponents of strict gun control are members of the racist Congressional Black Caucus. The people who deny you any means of self-protection using a force-multiplier (weapon) and make you more vulnerable to the criminals and crazies who operate outside of the law. The same people who appear to govern areas of strict gun control, rampant inner cities crime, and refuse to speak out about the domestic terrorist gangs that randomly roam the area looking for drug customers and victims. They are busy trying to release felons and providing compassionate consideration for the criminals at the expense of the victim.  

We also have rogue agencies, such as the BATFE, who operate under “unwritten and unpublished” rules, regulations, and guidelines. Unwritten and unpublished because they cannot stand the scrutiny of daylight or a judicial review.

We must remove the progressive socialist democrats and their RINO cohorts from the House and the Senate in this upcoming congressional election cycle as a clear and present danger to America and all Americans.

RANGE WAR: HARRY REID AND A TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT VS. CLIVEN BUNDY AND THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE

I wonder what he would say about those who would claim that 200+ armed government officers with automatic weapons, attack dogs and sniper rifles pointed at ordinary citizens, men, women, and children are simply law enforcement officers doing their duty when the matter could have been resolved at the courthouse with a single piece of paper -- filing a lien on Bundy's property for the disputed amount?

Like Reid's false statement that Mitt Romney did not pay his taxes and now charges that Cliven Bundy does not pay his taxes -- full well knowing, as a lawyer, that range fees are not taxes -- which Cliven Bundy claims are fully paid.

Perhaps a patriot might consider this an armed attempt at government intimidation. And, the attempt of a corrupt politician to continue plundering his state for his personal benefit, the benefit of his family, and the special interests who bought and paid for his attention.

Perhaps Harry Reid needs to understand he works for his constituents, not the other way around.

There is little or no doubt in my mind that the majority of politicians, especially the progressive socialist democrats and their RINO supporters are corrupt and have greatly weakened America and disadvantaged all Americans in the process. As if our government was infiltrated with a fifth column attempting to destroy America from within and enrich themselves and their special interest friends at the same time.

Here we have a classic fight. An American rancher who has ostensibly broken existing law, claiming that his rights predate the formation of the federal land management agency and that if he is to pay for grazing rights on public land, those payments should be to either Clark County or the State of Nevada. Complicating the issue is Harry Reid’s involvement in the affair. Where a former aid now heads that federal land management agency. Where Harry Reid and his eldest son Rory appear to support special interests that will produce solar power on public lands. Where the government’s agencies have demanded that ranchers, farmers, and others surrender their valuable water rights to the federal government in exchange for land use permits. An extortionate attempt that has prompted Senators representing Western States to offer up legislation to stop this legalized extortion.

So whose side do you want to support?

How can Harry Reid loudly claim he supports the rule of law, yet he loudly supports rights for illegal aliens who have broken the law and pals around with some special interests who have clearly broken the law – with benefits accruing to Harry Reid?

Today, a big Harry Reid supporter -- who funneled more than $130,000 to Reid in 2007 -- was sentenced to two years in prison for campaign finance violations. Harvey Whittemore, a lobbyist and developer, used "straw donors" to contribute to Reid's campaign. Of course, Reid claims that he knew nothing about all the wrongdoing. It's hard to buy undeveloped land in booming northern Arizona for $166 an acre. But now-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid effectively did just that when a longtime friend decided to sell property owned by the employee pension fund that he controlled.

In 2002, Reid (D-Nev.) paid $10,000 to a pension fund controlled by Clair Haycock, a Las Vegas lubricants distributor and his friend for 50 years. The payment gave the senator full control of a 160-acre parcel in Bullhead City that Reid and the pension fund had jointly owned. Reid's price for the equivalent of 60 acres of undeveloped desert was less than one-tenth of the value the assessor placed on it at the time.

Six months after the deal closed, Reid introduced legislation to address the plight of lubricants dealers who had their supplies disrupted by the decisions of big oil companies. In Nevada, the Name to Know is Reid. Members of one lawmaker's family represent nearly every major industry in their home state. And their clients rely on his goodwill.

The name alone made the eyes glaze over: "The Clark County Conservation of Public Land and Natural Resources Act of 2002." In a welter of technical jargon, it dealt with boundary shifts, land trades and other arcane matters -- all in Nevada.

As he introduced it, Nevada's senior U.S. senator, Democrat Harry Reid, assured colleagues that his bill was a bipartisan measure to protect the environment and help the economy in America's fastest-growing state. What Reid did not explain was that the bill promised a cavalcade of benefits to real estate developers, corporations and local institutions that were paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in lobbying fees to his sons' and son-in-law's firms, federal lobbyist reports show. <Source: Los Angeles Times>

Bottom line …

It’s apparent that the business of Harry Reid and his family is power politics for profit – with little or no concern for constituents who are not wealthy, politically connected, or useful to Harry Reid and family,

  • Ask yourself, Why were more armed soldiers arrayed against Cliven Bundy than those protecting our Libyan Ambassador in Benghazi?
  • Ask yourself, Why did the government try to thwart the Constitution and force people into small “First Amendment Areas” thus suspending a citizen’s constitutional right to free speech?

Enough with political corruption and self-dealing. Enough with the progressive socialist democrats and their RINO cohorts. It is time to purge the government of those who do not represent their constituents and represent our enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Throw the progressive socialist democrats out of the House and the Senate in the upcoming 2014 election. Return America to Americans.

WATER RIGHTS: IS THIS HARRY REID'S HIDDEN MOTIVE FOR PRESSURING NEVADA RANCHER CLIVEN BUNDY?

Beyond corruption and coercion – criminal extortion?

On the surface, it appears that Senator Harry Reid is trying to exert pressure on the Bureau of Land Management – headed by a former Reid aide – to force Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy to remove his cattle from grazing on public lands so the land can be designated as a protected environment for the desert tortoise. And thus this land could be used to mitigate the commercial development on other public lands that would directly benefit Nevada Senator Harry Reid, Harry Reid eldest son Rory, and other known and unknown special interests.

Corrupt as that sounds, there may be an additional factor – a more important and significant factor – behind the BLM’s actions. It appears that federal agencies may be forcing ranchers and farmers to give up their private water rights in order to use the public lands necessary to economically ranch or farm on public land.

This must be a serious issue as Wyoming Senators and others have introduced legislation to stop government agencies from using public land use permits to demand that the owners of private water rights cede them to the government – where they may be used for the benefit of politically-connected special interests and tighten the noose around the necks of American ranchers and farmers with little or no political connections.

(2) requiring any water user to apply for a water right in the name of the United States under state law as a condition of such a land use or occupancy agreement.

JOIN WITH THE NEVADA RANCHER UNDER FIRE TO DEFEAT HARRY REID IN 2016 -- BUT YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW IN 2014

Is Harry Reid behind the dogs and sniper rifles aimed at American citizens as the rally to bring attention to the destruction of a Nevada rancher, Cliven Bundy? When will Congress demand an investigation of the Bureau of Land Management and its Director – a former aid to Harry Reid – who tried to push people into pens before they could express their Constitutional right to free speech? A clear violation of the Constitution of the United States. Harry Reid’s Message to America and Americans?

There is little or no doubt in my mind that Nevada Senator and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is a corrupt, self-serving progressive socialist democrat who presents a clear and present danger to America and all freedom-loving Americans. Beyond allegedly stage-managing the harassment of rancher Cliven Bundy ostensibly so grazing lands can be used to mitigate the environmental impact of a commercial solar project, Reid has used Senate Rules to promote the radical socialist agenda and place socialists into high public positions requiring Senate confirmation. A thoroughly despicable Senator who has wreaked havoc on the United States of America.

Now it is time to fight back …

Harry Reid has given every indication that he is going to run for another term as Nevada’s Senator. But he can be stopped. It is believed that Harry Reid fears the current Nevada Governor Mark Sandoval, a Republican who can carry the State’s Hispanics as well as the current special interests who currently support Harry Reid. The key to attacking Harry Reid is to support the candidate for Republican Lieutenant Governor in 2014. The political pundits believe that Governor Sandoval would be less likely to challenge Reid in 2016 if the Lt. Governor was a democrat and the Republicans could lose the governorship.

Harry Reid can be beat …

In his last election, Harry Reid managed to gain 50.3% of the vote, primarily by mocking and demonizing Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle. There is some suspicion that Reid’s supporters also supported Angle as she would be an easier candidate to beat than another more formidable candidate.

By 2016, the people of Nevada and probably the rest of the United States will realize how much damage Harry Reid did to America and Americans by restricting Senate votes, changing Senate rules, and providing unwavering support for a communist in office.

The key to defeating Harry Reid is to insure that a republican becomes the Lieutenant governor of Nevada in 2014.

Bottom line …

Harry Reid represents all that is wrong with politics today. He appears to be a self-dealing, corrupt politician who supports an anti-America socialist agenda as he openly prevents the Senate of the United States from doing the people’s business unless it furthers the socialist agenda or the wishes of Barack Obama, who is either a socialist or a communist by family, education, training, and associations.

Think ahead. While you may not vote in Nevada, you might have family, friends, and business acquaintances that do vote in Nevada.You might consider donating to a strong Republican Lt. Governor in 2014 as well as continuing to bring Harry Reid’s despicable actions to the forefront of the public’s consciousness. The progressive mainstream media is unlikely to be of any assistance, so make your views known on talk radio, cable television, and the Internet.

We must curb special interest corruption in politics. And, we need to throw the progressive socialist democrats out of the House and the Senate where they are rapidly ceding Congressional checks and balances to an out-of-control communist in the White House.

WARNING: YOUR DOCTOR MIGHT BE FORCED (INCENTIVIZED) TO BE AN AGENT OF BIG BROTHER UNDER OBAMACARE

Society, in general, regards the medical profession in high esteem, mostly because they have the knowledge and skill that can mean life and death for us mere mortals. From the time they enter medical school, they are taught that they are part of an elite group – above average in every aspect – that possesses knowledge and reasoning skills far beyond the average citizen. Unfortunately, like most elite workers, they begin to believe the mainstream media hype and hold forth on a variety of subjects where they have little subject-matter knowledge and/or experience. In essence, they tend to believe their own bullshit that they, like all good progressive socialist democrats, know what is best for society and for man.

Unfortunately, these doctors are encapsulated in their world views and what they may see in their practice can not simply lead to restrictive legislation that curbs freedom, liberty, and the rights of every American citizen.

In a soon-to-be-published report, “Capturing Social and Behavioral Domains in Electronic Health Records: Phase 1,” the Committee on the Recommended Social and Behavioral Domains and Measures for Electronic Health Records of the Board on Population Health and Public Health Practice, a division of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies recommends that personal and private behavioral information be captured in your electronic health record.

Excerpts from the Summary Background … [My comments in blue italic]

Traditionally, research and interventions on social and behavioral determinants of health have largely been the purview of public health which has focused on disease prevention and maintenance of the public’s health.

[It appears that the government is altering their focus on disease prevention and maintenance of the public health, and is expanding the size and scope of its interference in the lives of American citizens. Ostensibly for the public good (the rationale of the progressive socialist/communist agenda) with little or no mention of a regime’s control over citizens by means of blackmail, extortion, and other coercion.]

Health care systems, in contrast, have focused primarily on the treatment of disease in individual patients, and, until recently, social determinants of health have not been linked to clinical practice or health care delivery systems.

[Up until now, private information, if it was even available, was beyond the government’s reach –embedded in paper records locked securely in your doctor’s or hospital’s file room and not available without a court-issued warrant showing probable cause and need for such information.]

Electronic health records (EHRs) provide crucial information to providers treating individual patients, to health systems, including public health officials, about the health of populations, and to researchers about the determinants of health and the effectiveness of treatment. Inclusion of social and behavioral health domains in EHRs is vital to all three uses.

[Yes, there are beneficial uses of information that could assist in planning and administering the healthcare system as well as helping researchers to develop new cures and effective treatment modalities. Unfortunately, in return for these benefits, you might have to surrender your privacy, anonymity, freedom, and liberty. Exposing your identity, health, safety, and security to a malevolent political regime or to other organized evildoers.]

The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act place new importance on the widespread adoption and meaningful use of EHRs. “Meaningful use” in a health information technology context refers to the use of EHRs and related technology within a health care organization to achieve specified objectives. Achieving meaningful use also helps determine whether an organization can receive payments from the Medicare EHR Incentive Program or the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.

[There it is folks – the government is pointing a gun at your head. By determining which organizations and doctors can receive insurance reimbursement for medical services, the government is clubbing medical facilities, physicians, and others into complying with their extortionate demands to violate your privacy and constitutional rights as an American citizen.]

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is working with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and other parts of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to establish regulations for the third stage of the meaningful use incentive program. Meaningful Use Stage 3 is in development and implementation for this stage is expected to start in 2017.

[The government no longer threatens or coerces private individuals and corporations – they incentivize them into acting as an agent of the government by denying them access to the public monies they hold in trust for the “We the People” and which must by law, be used for our benefit.]

Expansion beyond the traditional medical information collected in EHRs to include social and behavioral health determinants requires the identification and application of criteria for determining what domains should be included in all EHRs and for specific populations.

[Let us see how much information we can collect without public pushback.We can always add other data elements in supplementary rules and regulations with little or no notice or outcry from the public once the original brouhaha has been relegated to “old news.” ]

The rapid adoption of EHRs and the exigent Meaningful Use Stage 3 criteria formulation by the ONC and CMS add urgency to this effort.

Imagine the irony of this situation as President Barack Obama has locked away even his birth certificate and criminalized access to his personal records. Notice nobody is really addressing the lack of security in the healthcare.gov web site, not restricting felons and other political evildoers from access to your information, and in general not criminalizing the access and disclosure of your data with mandatory jail terms with no possibility of parole or early release.

We have seen confidential health records leaked to the media for political purposes. We have seen confidential tax and financial information leaked to the media for political purposes. And, yet we do not see politicians and their supporters going to jail.

The government of the United States, as controlled by the progressive socialist democrats, is becoming a hostile and totalitarian environment where snipers and dogs are deployed against those who stand up for their rights. It is time that all Americans come together and throw the radical progressive socialist democrats and their RINO fellow travelers out of office before our country comes to a sad ending – a country governed like France with an corrupt oligarchy like Mexico. Possibly necessitating another American revolution to take back out country from the corrupt politicians and special interests – possibly with a states’ convention to disband the federal government.

WHY SENATOR HARRY REID AND THE PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS ARE A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO AMERICA

Let us look, just for a moment, beyond the corruption of politicians and the special interests who fund their campaigns, provide jobs for their families and friends, and who provide them with valuable consideration after they leave office – right into the heart of the socialist/communist beast where private property has no meaning and politicians are free to control your life.

1. Land, because of its unique nature and the crucial role it plays in human settlements, cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. Social justice, urban renewal and development, the provision of decent dwellings-and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interests of society as a whole.

2. Instead, the pattern of land use should be determined by the long-term interests of the community, especially since decisions on location of activities and therefore of specific land uses have a long-lasting effect on the pattern and structure of human settlements. Land is also a primary element of the natural and man-made environment and a crucial link in an often delicate balance. Public control of land use is therefore indispensable to its protection as an asset and the achievement of the long-term objectives of human settlement policies and strategies.

3. To exercise such control effectively, public authorities require detailed knowledge of the current patterns of use and tenure of land; appropriate legislation defining the boundaries of individual rights and public interest; and suitable instruments for assessing the value of land and transferring to the community, inter alia through taxation, the unearned increment resulting from changes in use, or public investment or decisions, or due to the general growth of the community.

4. Above all, Governments must have the political will to evolve and implement innovative and adequate urban and rural land policies, as a corner-stone of their efforts to improve the quality of life in human settlements.

Why did Harry Reid and his cronies need Cliven Bundy’s cattle off land alleged to be controlled by the Bureau of Land Management – now spearheaded by an ex-aide of Senator Harry Reid?

It appears that Senator Harry Reid and his son Rory have some interest in a solar project involving a Chinese company, ENN Energy Group to build out a $5 billion dollar solar complex in the Nevada desert. And, while they may not need Cliven Bundy’s ranch for the actual operations, they may need it as a set-aside to satisfy government requirements needed to mitigate commercial development elsewhere.

Bottom line …

This should scare the bejesus out of any true American. Harry Reid’s actions are little more than a self-serving land grab for his political supporters and a demonstration that individual private property rights are meaningless in a socialist/communist society.

If nothing else, Harry Reid should be investigated for political corruption and all of the progressive socialist democrats who want to destroy America from within, for the benefit of our enemies, both foreign and domestic, need to be thrown out of the House and the Senate in the upcoming election.

It is our country and the progressive socialist democrats are selling it off to the highest bidder.
