60 MINUTES TAKES OUR ENEMIES AND THEIR ACTIVISTS ON A TOUR OF A NUCLEAR LAUNCH CONTROL CENTER

There is little doubt in my mind that 60 Minutes reflects the political position of the Obama Administration and their cadre of progressive socialist democrats …

Am I the only person who is pissed off that 60 Minutes did a great disservice to America and our Air Force by embarking upon what I believe to be a sponsored publicity tour of a Nuclear Launch Control Center?

Tour a nuclear launch control center

When Lesley Stahl and the 60 Minutes team went 70 feet underground inside a nuclear control center, they found a system dating back to the 1960s

When Lesley Stahl and the 60 Minutes team ventured 70 feet underground into a nuclear control center, Stahl says what she found was "peculiar": a malfunctioning phone, floppy disks and an antique computer system without a monitor.

Highlighting an aging system that used 8” floppy disks and appears to be held together with legacy systems. In my opinion, this is information is not need to know by the greater population! While 60 Minutes did not reveal CNWDI-level secrets  (Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information), they did cast a long shadow of doubt on the men and women who stand at the ready to protect the United States against nuclear attack.

Yes, there have been morale issues, and people were caught cheating on exams – not to cover up information deficiencies, but to insure a perfect 100% score. Yes, we have had near nuclear accidents, but revealing this information to progressive socialist democrats only encourages the socialist/communist peaceniks to continue their protests against nuclear weapons. I can anticipate a renewed outcry to dismantle our nuclear weapons and/or reduce our missile counts … with the 60 Minutes piece ginning up additional anti-Missile opposition.

The fact that 60 Minutes concentrated on past nuclear weapon-related incidents and stressing that our command and control system is complex and aging is deeply troubling. And the suggestion that we do not need land-based missiles is unfounded.

Bottom line …

To see that 60 Minutes characterized the Missile Command as a second-rate assignment rather than an elite posting was deeply troubling.

The real issue facing the United States military is that the command structure is becoming hyper-politicized and, in the present instance, faces opposition from civilian overloads steeped in soviet-style socialist propaganda and who apparently holds the military in low regard. Generals, Admirals, and other hard-charging squared away officers are routinely eliminated and demoted by the political bullshit coming from the White House – in reality, probably Valerie Jarrett and he socialist-trained cohorts.

What I would like to see is simple. A return to the ethics and efficiency of the Strategic Air Command, where motto “Peace is our profession,” was unofficially supplemented by “To err is human, to forgive is divine – neither one of which is SAC operational policy.” I would also like for these media morons to be denied access to critical facilities and information.
