Here are the latest changes made by Barack Obama without constitutional authority to usurp Congressional law-making …

Consumers who were originally required to select a health plan by December 15, 2013 to be covered January 1, 2014 now have eight extra days until December 23, 2013 to select their heath coverage, but must pay their health insurance premium by December 31, 2013  to pay for the health plan they select for it to be in effect January 1, 2014.

Consumers who miss the December 23, 2013 deadline will still be able to get coverage, BUT, the coverage will not be in effect until one month after they sign-up. The so-called OPEN ENROLLMENT period will terminate on March 31, 2014.

Obama doesn’t give a damn about consumers, only progressive socialist democrat politics that are likely to be severely impacted by Obamacare in 2014 …

Using the problems of healthcare.gov as a reason, President Obama has announced the delays ostensibly to assist consumers. But the real trick is to delay next year’s open enrollment period for obtaining 2015 insurance coverage by one month, until mid-November rather than October. The apparent political purpose being to delay any “sticker shock” and voter anger going into the 2014 congressional election cycle when the progressive socialist democrats and their allies will be held to account for the havoc, pain, and suffering felt by Americans who were happy with their original insurance plan and who are now forced, by government mandate. to pay higher premiums for unwanted coverage and higher deductibles. A progressive socialist democrat wealth redistribution scheme that will take from the middleclass to enable insurance coverage for the poor and illegal aliens.

Bottom line …

President Obama believes that Congress is afraid to take action against his unconstitutional actions – especially since the progressive socialist democrats invoked the “nuclear option” in the Senate. He also believes that the American consumer-voter-taxpayer can be conned with cheap tricks like this delay in enrollment. 

He’s telling congressional democrats “I’ve got your back and the voters are too apathetic or stupid to vote you out of office.”
